Where do broken Hearts Go?

I know it's been some time

But there's something on my mind

You see, I haven't been the same

Since that cold November day...

We said we needed space

But all we found was an empty place

And the only thing I learned

Is that I need you desperately...

At the Xavier institute, young Kitty Pryde was lying in bed thing about things that had happened in the past few weeks. It had been three weeks since Kitty had called Lance a hood and deep down in her heart she still loved him.

'Why does Lance have to be such a jerk sometimes? I mean he is always the bad guy. I wish he would just join the X-Men and become the good guy for a change. If only I hadn't called him a hood...'

So here I am

And can you please tell me... oh

Where do broken hearts go

Can they find their way home

Back to the open arms

Of a love that's waiting there

And if somebody loves you

Won't they always love you

Across town, in the Brotherhood house, Lance was lying on his bed thinking the same thing Kitty was.

'I hope Kitty didn't mean it when she called me a 'hood.' I really hate to see her so mad. I just wish I had her back...'

The next day Kitty and Lance bumped into each other after school. They just stood across from each other looking into each other's eyes.

I look in your eyes

And I know that you still care, for me

I've been around enough to know

That dreams don't turn to gold

And there is no easy way

No you just can't run away....

"Lance..."

"Kitty..."

"I – I've got something I want to tell you..." Lance stammered.

"Me too." Kitty said. I'm - I'm sorry for calling you a hood... I really didn't mean it."

And what we have is so much more

Than we have ever had before

And no matter how I try

You're always on my mind

"Thanks Kitty I know you didn't really mean it"

"Thank-you Lance, for understanding"

Back to the open arms

Of a love that's waiting there

And if somebody loves you

I look in your eyes

And I know that you still care, for me

"Lance, I just want you to know..."

"Kitty, it's just that..."

"I love you." Kitty and Lance spoke at the same time.

And now that I am here with you

I'll never let you go

I look into you eyes

And now I know, now I know...

Kitty and Lance embraced each other in a hug and held on to each other. And both know that they wouldn't let each other go and noting could split them apart ever again.
