Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter, and don't especially want to either...lol
"Tell me Harry, what ingredients do you need to make an antidote against werewolf bite?"
Hermiones hand shot up in the air. Harry was slumped over his books and Ron gave him a quick nudge.
"Um..."
Harry glanced down into his opened book.
"Wolfspane is the main ingredient," he read aloud
"Potter, you were supposed to know the ingredients, instead of reading them aloud. Five points from Griffindor."
Harry screwed up his face in disgust, but didn't try to complain. He knew Professor Snape well, and arguing could only make matters worse.
"Class dismissed"
Harry grabbed his books and walked quickly out of the classroom. There was something about that room that made his potions class even worse, if possible. There was a dim light through the small windows, and an eerie echo in the silent room.
"You coming? I need some air," he called to Ron and Hermione. Harry sat down in the fresh air. It was cool and soothing, he could feel the air go down in his lungs and out again.
"Hey, you guys, wanna go down to Hagrid's?"
"Well. We're handing in the essay about vampires tomorrow, so I want to finish it."
(A/N: Knowing Hermione, she probably started it months before...lol)
"I think you two should get started on it too," she added
"I did mine yesterday," Ron lied.
"Sure, whilst you were playing wizards chess," She said sarcastically.
"Surely, you could waste two minutes for a tea," Harry begged.
After some persuading, Hermione agreed.
"Oh hello!" Hagrid said in his usual friendly voice, "I was just making tea!"
As they walked into Hagrid's hut, the huge kettle over the fireplace started boil. Hagrid stomped over to it and poured water into three enormous cups. Harry knew, as always he would never manage to finish the portion. As evening fell, Hermione managed to persuade the other two to get back, so they could start their essay. As they were on their way out Hagrid's door, Fang started whimpering loudly. Thinking nothing of it, the threesome walked out the door. Suddenly the candles in the hut started flickered out and the fire wavered violently. Harry pulled the other two back indoors and carefully closed the door. The pumpkins glowed mystically. Something stirred in the distance. There was something out there...Harry could feel it...
A/N: How was that for a first chapter? PLEASE review!!
