Rain poured outside the window of the hotel the bladebreakers were staying at. Thunder and lightning could be heard. Tyson shivered and said shivering "Man it must be flooding out there." Max said "Aw come on Tyson lighten up kai at least won't make us train tomorrow right kai?" Kai replied with a "hn" he walked out of the room Tyson shouted "hey kai where are you going?" rei said "Tyson let him go" Tyson stopped yelling and said "Alright rei." Rei nodded at Tyson and walked out following kai.
Rei found him a few minutes later he was walking out of the lobby rei followed at a distance. Kai walked on weaving through the streets. He walked into a park nearby rei followed at a distance. Kai walked to a cliff that looked unstable and would break any second and stopped. Rei hid in a bush nearby. Kai held dranzer in his hand. Kai had a look of determination on his face. He said quietly "You can come out now." Rei stood up. Kai looked at rei and walked forward to rei. Rei stared at kais eyes. Lightning flashed making kai's eyes glow red. Rei took a step back. Kai looked at rei and said indifferently "Why are you here rei?" rei walked to the edge of the cliff and took a deep breath calming himself.
Rei said quietly "Kai I have a confession to make." Kai looked at rei and said taking a step forward "What is it rei?" rei hesitated. He said "Kai I-"rei was cut off as kai took a step for ward and said "rei I.......love you" kai looked down waiting to be rejected. Kai clutched dranzer tightly drawing blood. Rei lifted kai's chin up and smiled. Kai's breath caught in his throat. Rei said "Kai I love you too" Kai smiled a little. Rei leaned forward and kissed kai. Kai kissed back. Rei broke apart. They caught their breath and rei said "Wow" kai nodded. Rei leaned forward and their lips met again. Rei held drigger in his hand.
Lightning struck and shook the ground. Rei wobbled unsteadily and fell off the cliff kai grabbed his hand as he fell. Rei said smiling sadly "Kai let me go." Kai shook his head. Lightning flashed illuminating kai's eyes making them glow red. Rei smiled and said "Kai please......let go." Kai said "If you die I die too." Rei said "No Kai!' kai had let go and they plummeted to the ground kai smiled at rei and said "I told you I would come with you." Rei smiled and shared their last kiss be fore they fell to the ground with a loud thump.
In the morning a pair of joggers found their bodies and called the police. They were laying next to each other holding their blades and each other's hands a smile gracing each of their lips. At the funeral held by Mr. Dickenson. Tyson and max cried softly. Mr. Dickenson said comfortingly "Don't cry boys they were great bladders and I will miss them dearly." The blade sharks and white tigers were there. They all were crying softly. Rei and kai had been buried together and with their blades. On their gravestone the words: The two greatest bladers lie here may they rest in peace and happiness. They are buried together as they were found. They are together forever. Rest in peace.
Tyson put a bouquet of roses on the gravestone and stepped back. The wind ruffled the bouquet of roses. Rose petals fluttered around their grave. Tyson smiled sadly. Max said putting an arm on tyson's shoulder "They got their wish Tyson they are together forever." Tyson and max looked at the sunset imagining their smiling faces. Tyson thought "Max is right kai and rei are together. They will be together forever." Tyson and max turned and walked away their backs to kai and rei's grave. Max looked back and thought "Goodbye kai and goodbye rei we will miss you" max turned and walked next to Tyson they left the cemetery.
Kai and rei are as they should be. Together forever.
