Once Upon a Penguin

I wrote this about one-and-a-half years ago for English class.

I was locked in my room one day
For I had no time to play
Slaving over my schoolwork made me dreary
Whether by miracle or delusion
I was awe-struck with confusion
Of the penguin outside my window, I was leery
It was blue like the sky
It flew like the wind
It was a strange little guy
Fly into my room it did
What is this?
I have no time to say
For with a certain quickness
It tried to send all my sadness away
It danced on its feet
It danced on its toes
It performed a daring feat
When it balance a heavy book on its nose
Now I don't want to brag
I don't want to boast
But when I lost my bag,
It brought me some toast
It was an angel, with little yellow toes
