I'm still not sure what's going to happen with this. I guess I'll wait and see. Sorry the chapters are so short so far. They will probably get longer later on. G.N.

"Did you see that John?" Elliot asked when he and Munch were finally alone.

"See what? And why are you being so loud?"

"Olivia throwing herself at Huang after the Carter interrogation," Elliot said as he stared off into the distance.

"No I must not have. All I saw were a few smiles and touches," Munch paused and looked at Elliot. "It's obvious to everyone that you aren't the good doctor's biggest fan, but just because you don't like him doesn't mean Olivia shouldn't."

"It's not that she shouldn't. It's just..."

"You act like she's yours El." There was complete silence.

"If only fate were to be so kind," Elliot whispered. "Look, you'll never understand."

"Try me." Elliot let out a deep sigh and stared at Munch. "No really, Elliot. Try me."

"Before Huang came along," Elliot paused. "Those few smiles and touches were directed towards me. But of course I couldn't do anything about it no matter how much I wanted to."

"All that would have gotten you was one hot night and some divorce papers," Munch said casually.

Elliot stared blankly at the wall. "Exactly. But now that I've lost her, I'm thinking it would have been worth it."
