He's Gone
Lily walked into the school and saw Robbie. "Hey," Robbie greeted. Lily just stared.
"Don't look at me like everything was my fault!" Robbie cried. Lily just started crying. Robbie looked at her.
"I didn't mean it like that," he apologized.
"I know. If anything, it should be MY fault," Lily said in between sobs.
"What do you mean?" Robbie asked.
"He saw me and Travis kissing!" she cried. "Now he's NEVER coming back! He's dead Robbie! You can handle it but I can't!" she cried, walking away. She ran into the bathroom and saw Audrey.
"Hey, Lily," Audrey said sarcastically, looking at Lily with disgust. Lily looked at her.
"This really isn't the time," Lily said tearfully. Audrey looked at her.
"What happened? Are you ok?" Audrey asked.
"Do I look ok?" Lily asked, wiping her eyes.
"No... you don't." Audrey said.
"Look, Travis kissed ME, and Ray is dead because of it!" Lily cried. "I just... I don't know... what am I going to do?" Lily asked, looking at Audrey. She was crying.
"Lily... come here," Audrey said. She hugged Lily.
Travis ran into Robbie. "Are you gunna blame me too?" Robbie asked, angrily.
"You coulda SAVED him Robbie!" Travis yelled.
"He threatened to JUMP if I took a step closer to him! I should be blaming YOU! You kissed the girl of his dreams! And you KNEW how he felt about her! But you kissed her anyway! You weren't such a 'smart dog' there!" Robbie yelled. Travis stared at him.
"You're right," Travis said. "As usual everything is my fault." Travis walked away.
"Unbelieveable!" Travis yelled. He passed Audrey in the hall. She glared at him. He didn't even bother to say hi. He then realized she might know where Lily was. He stopped her.
"What?" she asked.
"Where's Lily?" Travis asked.
"She's really upset... about what happened... how YOU kissed HER... and Ray died because of it..." Audrey told him.
"Look... I just really need to talk to her," Travis told her.
"Whatever. Lily isn't here. She went home," Audrey told him. Travis left her standing there, as he was running down the hall towards the doors.
Travis left the school and started walking towards the cemetery. He thought that Lily would most likely go there instead of her house. He was right.
"Lily!" he called, running towards her. Lily was kneeling by Ray's grave. Lily looked at him and looked away. Travis finally got there and sat down beside her.
"Hey," Travis said, trying to smile.
"Hey yourself," Lily said back, not even TRYING to smile.
"Are you ok?" Travis asked.
"No. I'm not. I can't believe that Ray is dead! I mean... it's hard to believe. You know it's our fault he's dead, right?" Lily asked.
Travis dropped his jaw. "You just wanna blame it all on me as well?" Travis asked, angrily.
Lily stared at him. "YOU kissed ME! And Ray is dead because of it, Travis!" Lily cried.
"I kissed YOU? I did! But you kissed me back!" Travis yelled.
Lilly stared at him for a long time. "You know what?" Lily said.
"What?" Travis asked sarcastically.
"You stay away from me until this entire thing blows over... and it won't!" Lily told him. She kissed her hand and placed on Ray's grave and left Travis sitting there. Travis stared after her. He looked back at Ray's grave and started to cry.
