A/N: Ladies and gentlemen she's back! Yeah it happened, I'm back bearing a new chapter and a new name: Silver Scribes! I know that this is long overdue and I am really sorry but I have been working on the revised 'In those eyes' which is coming soon, so be on the look out. There may be some strong language in this chapter, if it offends you I apologise but that's the reason it's rated PG-13. Also I changed my style a little in this chapter, tell me what you think about it, be honest. If it sucks don't be afraid to tell me cause I need to know.

Lair of Evil

"Pick up. Pick up. Pick up your fucking phone!" He cursed.

Shattered pieces of machinery littered the wall opposite the furious teen as his now cordless phone slid to the carpeted floor. Large hands gripped a dining room chair tightly, his knuckles turned a ghostly pale contrasting with the blood that trickled from the confines of his bandages; yelling out in aggravation and anger he thrust the chair, all his livid passion fuelling it across the dimly lit room. His breath came in short sharp spasms as he tried desperately to calm himself.

This was a reason that Trowa and emotion weren't friends, emotion always screwed with his head and ended up getting the better of the normally level headed boy. "Where the hell is she?" Trowa asked his cold empty apartment. He had convinced a nurse who was particularly taken with his jade eyes to help him sneak out of the hospital, he had come back to his apartment in hopes of tracking down his lost friend . Sinking into one of the two chairs in his dining room his hands clasped tightly together he began to rock, slowly.

Back: 'God Rei, where are you?'

Forth: 'Don't do this to me. You can't, you have no right'

Back: 'Please still be alive. Please'

Forth: 'I can't live without you-I think I…I love you?'

A silent tear crept down his ivory cheeks. Blinking more tears fell from his emerald eyes, some pausing on long lashes before leaving to meet the skin of his bare chest.

Trowa's hands raked over his face as his fingers brushed away angry tears, before they began working on a way to pry brown strands loose. This could not be happening. "She has to be okay. She has to be okay." The brunette chanted softly into the darkness. He stood quickly, knocking his chair over in his haste. 'How did I forget?' he chided himself grabbing a t-shirt as he sped out of his apartment.

Small frothy waves lightly kissed the powdered sand of Goza beach before hurriedly lapsing back into the vast blue. The wind rustled smoothly among the massive palm trees littered on the sand, creating a beat to the tranquil melody of the seemingly black ocean. A thin veil of diamonds appeared in the dark heavens twinkling at the crystal sea beneath it as the white moon illuminated the scene casting glorious shadows across the beach. This was the perfect place, too perfect. Any person unaffected by the wonders which surrounded them might have noticed the storm clouds lurking in the distance smirking at peoples blissful ignorance. They had no idea where they were, the normal people. This was a dangerous place, the lions den. This was his lair of evil.
She strolled along the sandy shores, converse trainers in hand, her feet leaving unique signatures across the white sand. The wind blew freely through her loose dark locks and she smiled. A soft smile full of naivety and youth, it didn't suit her for it was the smile of a protected person, unaware of the worlds troubles believing the planet content and beautiful. Rei was as far from ignorant as Pluto was from the Sun and she was neither young nor naïve. For instance a glimpse to her left would reveal a six foot tall, blonde-haired, blue-eyed hottie in dark, baggy stretch trousers and a light grey pullover carelessly striding beside her. Rei however saw the truth, she saw him for all that he was and wasn't. Pure evil. Underneath his silver curls, seductive smiles and Armani clothing lay pride, lust, gluttony, envy, hatred and anger. The demonification of sin. But even while knowing this she still couldn't bring herself to hate or fear him only find herself filled with giddy curiosity and a backwards sense of adventure at whatever he and his windswept cheeks wanted to show her.

She stared at the ground in astonishment as it was slowly parting with her naked feet. Glancing upwards she found the grinning face of a floating Jadeite.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" She whispered angrily, knowing that any of the people residing in one of the many beach houses would not appreciate the sight of two flying people outside their windows. But this only widened the grin on his face as he drew her form close, his muscled arms encircling her waist. Nodding towards a lit porch he said, "They don't mind."

In actual fact the group of young people who were clearing the remainder of what looked to have been a banging party didn't seem to care. A fleeting look at the airborne pair provoked nothing more than a light smirk and nod.

"What the hell?" Rei asked genuinely confused. Jadeite ignored her question and flew higher, he turned her in his arms so her back was pressed against his chest. They stared down at the tiled roofs of the many houses that lay along the sparkling sand. "It's yours." He whispered in her ear. She made a sound of confusion but he carried on. "It's yours Rei. It's mine. It's ours. I own it."

"What? You own it? But you can't, it's government property!" Rei interrogated, a quizzical expression on her face not noticing that they had drifted back to the land.

"Don't you worry your pretty little head about it," Jadeite said an all knowing grin on his face, while dragging her towards one of the two story houses where by the sounds of it another party was starting up. They walked up the white painted stairs, Rei trailing dependently behind her guide. She paused on a step and looked up towards Jadeite, "What time is it?"

He glanced upwards briefly, "Judging by the darkness and that big round thing in the sky, I'd say it was night."

She smacked his arm playfully and stuck her hand inside the pocket of her open red jacket and produced a mobile phone, she'd check the time on her phone. Rei hated the thing, like she hated most technology but her friends had threatened her. They had actually had the gall to threaten her, Makoto vowing under no circumstances to cook for her again; Minako swearing on her red bow to never take the young miko shopping; Ami refusing to help her friend study and Usagi, well Usagi had simply promised to kick her ass. This wasn't mentioning Trowa, Trowa had just looked at the red senshi in a way that clearly said 'Take- your- head- out- of- your- ass -cause- I- do- not- have- the- patience- for- you- right- now'. He had a way of incorporating whole speeches in a single look, how he did it, she would never know. They made her promise to carry it around in the case of emergencies. Naturally Rei had hated them at the time and refused to speak to them for about a month afterwards but she had begun to see it's advantages, not that she knew how to use the little device properly.

'27 missed calls' the words were carefully scripted on the grey screen of the scarlet Motorola. She smiled guiltily, 'I guess they would have been looking for me. I'll call Trowa back later.' She was brought out of her thoughts by the sounds of laughter, chatter and with the magnified thud of ATL and Cassidy's 'Shawty' from the now open door of the beach house. Upon seeing the arrival of Jadeite a loud cheer erupted from the mass of people before they turned back to their business.

"Somebody's popular." Rei mocked smiling.

"You have no idea."

Making their way through the throng of dancing people, across the hardwood floors and to the bar Mr Popular was greeted with hearty welcomes and longing stares which left Mr Populars guest with indifferent nods. Eastern hospitality. Rei and Jadeite balanced on stools, talking animatedly while occasionally taking sips from their coloured beverages in plastic cups. Jadeite threw back his head and laughed, a deep rumbling sound that formed from behind his hard chest, his arm thrown lazily around Rei. Rei noticed worriedly that action attracted a lot of female attention, negative female attention.

Jadeite turned towards the door and regarded a couple of people. "Rei I'll be right back," he mumbled his eyes never leaving the figures at the connecting door. She shrugged and nodded as he got up and left.

The party was a blur of colours with brightly dressed people moved along to the varying music, right now they were shaking it 'like a Polaroid picture' as instructed by the sexy André 3000 of Outkast. She tapped her now trainer clad feet and bobbed her head to the fast beat.

It had been over ten minutes since her evil host had abandoned her and ever the restless one she decided to hell with him. Standing up she placed her coat on her previously occupied stool and looked around. It was time to mingle, time to have a good time, time to party! That was mostly the alcohol speaking and Rei knew it, "Well Jack Daniels speaks words or wisdom,' she thought with an uncharacteristic giggle.

She spotted a tanned man in floral prints and began to walk over. It wasn't the mans obvious foreignism that averted her attention from the mass of moving colour but the amazingly beautiful dog he was staring at. Rei's backside was met with the soft cushions of the houses sofa as she sat directly next to the foreign man.

"That is such a cute dog," Rei marvelled.

The foreign man laughed his smiling eyes never leaving the animal, "She is isn't she?"

Rei nodded in agreement reaching down to stoke the foreign man's dog which had magical emerald eyes.

"So what's your name?" She asked.

"Some people call me Leslie," The foreign man, Leslie said reluctantly looking away from the treasured dog. Leslie smiled at her and continued, "But round here they call me Leech."

Rei nodded, "I'm Rei."

She turned to be further astonished by the creatures astounding beauty but was met with the sight of a mahogany skinned woman that could double for an Egyptian princess with spellbinding green eyes. Jewels adorned her otherwise naked body and the princess was locked in the gaze of the man seated next to Leslie the Leech.

"Where'd the dog go?"

Leslie chuckled at her question and shook his head in amusement, "She-." He paused. "He-." he paused again. "It's a shape shifter. Changes into whatever you most desire when you look into it's eyes."

Rei nodded understanding, then paused, "You most desire a dog?" Erupting laughter from behind the disgusted fire goddess brought her attention away from Leslie- the- dog- loving- Leech's blushing face and on to Jadeite's amused one. Jadeite stood next to the couch that she currently occupied tear streaked face scrunched up from laughter, one hand grasping his side the other clutching on to the sofa for support.

"What are you laughing at?" Rei scowled.

"You," He paused to look at her before bursting out laughing once more. "Oh God-" He gasped between fits of laughter, "-You should have seen your face-"

Rei got up, eyes flashing and stalked past him and towards the door. She made damn sure the door slammed as she stepped into the moonlight, the full blast of ocean breeze hitting her. She shivered lightly and began rubbing her bare arms in an attempt to keep warm, she had left the house so quickly that her belongings (namely her coat) had been forgotten. The dark head of hair shook deciding that there was no way that she could go back and get it after storming out like that. In actual fact the raven haired girl wasn't completely certain why she'd left in such a hurry, she suspected that it had to do with her slight intoxication. Warmth spread through her torso as she felt soft cotton covering her shoulders, Jadeite had brought out her coat.

"You okay?" He asked softly. Rei stood motionless staring at the vast waters as though oblivious to his presence.

"I probably should have told you they weren't what you'd call normal, heck they aren't human." He stared at her petite form, "Come back inside."

Sighing she took his hand. His larger one enveloping hers, they headed back indoors but were halted by a shrill ringing.

Rei reached inside her pocket to end the annoying sound but her actions were stopped by Jadeite's hand. He had grabbed her other hand, "You can call them back." A look into his pale blue eyes pushed away all thoughts of her humming phone, she would call them back later.

"Wait."

Jadeite's hand paused right above the door handle.

"Can we just stay out here and talk? Please."

He nodded and the two sat looking towards the dark sky.

"What was up with that party?" Jadeite looked at her puzzled. "Oh come on! You had Egyptian Princesses, Shape shifters and a dog lover?"

Jadeite grinned and chuckled, "Like I said they aren't human. All youma and demons under my rule. Do you know what I command them to do?"

Rei shook her head.

"Party. We have fun get wasted and no one bothers us cause I own the whole frickin' beach!"

"But if you've been alive all this time why didn't you try to kill us, the senshi I mean?"

"You think I'm that stupid? I'm not like that retard Barell. She wanted to take over the universe and all that jazz, I'm quite happy having a good time. No sense in letting you know I'm still alive and kicking if I didn't want a war, which I don't. We don't appreciate gate crashers round here."

"Why now? Why did you start all this shit up again?"

He smirked and leaned closer. "Because of this." His lips caresed hers experimently before he leaned in closer. Long fingers worked their way into raven hair and an experienced tongue broke past the barriers of pink lips. Rei slid her hands up to his chest and they lingered before she roughly pushed him away shaking her head. "No. No I can't do this!"

"Why not?"

"Because. Because you're evil, you're my sworn enemy for crying out loud! And sworn enemies don't sit on porches and make out! God I don't even know why I'm here."

"I do." Jadeite smirked. "You want me."

"No-no! I just came here because- because I wanted to know where your hideout was, so I could infiltrate." Rei stuttered.

"Bull shit."

"Then I could take down the threat once and for all." She concluded her head nodding.

"Really? You think you could take me on little woman?" He laughed standing up. "I'm a lot stronger than I was since the last time we saw each other. Besides would you really want to take me on here? Little ol' you against a thousand strong of me. How do you think you'd fare?"

"Pretty damn well." A voice thundered above them.

Dun, dun, dun! Cliff-hanger! How much do you hate me right now? Well you're about to hate me more when I tell you that updates are gonna be sparse from now on (even more so than usual). This isn't my fault because I start a new school next week, a boarding school. I've never been there before so I don't know how much time I'll get to write or the rules about the net so you'll just have to wait. If anyone cares or actually wants to know about my feelings on boarding school check in my profile for the addy to my livejournal.
