[From: RUpuzzled2: Maybe you could get Jonas in there?? maybe?]
Even before I got a review asking about Jonas, I was thinking of adding him to my story b/c he's funny (and annoyingly smart at times) but im basing the story around seasons 3-5 and personally I dun think I can add jonas without ascending Daniel because it'll kill the flow of the story. And with the ending I got planned for this, I don't think jonas will be in the story. Sorry guys! I could keep the story going and have Daniel ascending but ive already read a story called 'Ethereal' by Kalithja and I don't want to copy that absolutely MAD story by having Nat at the whole ascention thing. Im gonna take ma story in a whole new direction (just incase u guys thought I was copying the ethereal story- I was inspired by that story but not copying it) well here's ch9.. I imagined it all different but I hope the way I rote it makes sense to u all! don't 4get to review!!**
CH9: rescue
[SGC briefing room, 8 days later: Dec 27th]
"So general, how is Daniel's dig going on P3X-486?" Jack asked.
"Daniel and Sg-7 seem to have found another shallow grave sight full of dead Goul'd. He should be back in time for New Year's Eve," General Hammond explained. "Now lieutenant, I want you to tell the others what you told me this morning," Hammond instructed.
"I know where Share' is going to be and when," Nat explained to the others.
"Share'? How could you possibly know where Share' is?" Sam asked. She was very interested to hear the answer.
"I talked to Teal'c yesterday to see what year, and what time of year it is on Chulac. Tomorrow is the Hamshai. It's sort of our equivalent to Easter. It is a celebration of Ra coming back from the dead," Nat explained.
"Although Ra is dead, it has become a passed on tradition among the people of Chulac," Teal'c butt in. "Ra was thought to have died many thousands of years ago, and one year later, he returned to Chulac, alive and well. Since then, there had been celebrations in his name on this time every year."
"Sha're, or Amaunet I should say, is going to be on Chulac tomorrow to celebrate the Hamshai," Nat said.
"And where's old Apophis going to be?" Jack asked.
"Fighting Cronus over another planet," Nat smiled. "I've asked the General if I could participate in a rescue mission to bring Share' back here. The Tok'ra have methods of removing the Goul'd from a host. Maybe we can have a chance to save Share'. In the future, Daniel told me he gave up looking for her after a few years and I want to change that," Nat explained. 'I like him, but I overheard older Daniel saying he wishes she were still around. I just want to help him.' Nat thought to herself.
"Wait, wait. I know this one! You've got the memories of when Marty's sister was Share's slave," Jack said proudly. Nat nodded. "Shouldn't we be rescuing Kayleen as well?" Jack asked.
"Kayleen will be at the ceremony. But this morning is when the Tok'ra Kian first comes to Kayleen to see if she can help him get close to Apophis.."
"Then let's get to her before Kian does, and let's bring her back to Marty!" Jack commanded.
"Sir, with all due respect, if we interfere with what had happened to Kayleen, then it'll change everything in Nat's time." Sam explained.
"So what! She's probably already changed everything by just being here!" Jack replied.
"Colonel, you can't bring back Kayleen. If Kian never seeks Kayleen's help, Kian would never have..er.. will give valuable information about Apophis's defenses to the Tok'ra. That information, colonel, is what saves Earth later on. For all our future's sake, we cant risk being invaded," Nat explained.
Jack leaned back into his chair. "You sound like one of the Tok'ra. The greater good this, sacrifice that," Jack said angrily.
"Sorry colonel, but I know Kayleen. I have here memories and I don't think she would want to be brought back. She'd want to help Kian," Nat explained.
"So General, what do you think?" Jack asked Hammond.
"I don't want to risk the lives of everyone on Earth. For now, rescuing Sha're is your first priority. If you three can come up with a workable plan to rescue Sha're, and Sha're only, then I will authorize the mission. You've got one hour. Dismissed."

[one hour later..]
Teal'c dressed in his Goul'd outfit, with the snake head–piece under his arm. Nat dressed in blue and white cotton material, wrapped around like a dress, the sleeve flowing, and her medium length brown hair was pinned up. Jack and Sam followed Teal'c and Nat into the gate room, wearing their usual army gear.
"And tell me again why THEY get to dress up?" Jack asked Carter.
"It would be reasonable for myself and Natalie Manslow to be the ones to infiltrate the palace because I myself am from Chulac," Teal'c explained.
"And why isn't Carter going into the palace with Nat again?" Jack replied.
"On Chulac there are no blonde haired women. Carter would stick out too much. I'm of Southern European descent, so my darker looks will blend in more. Plus I speak fluent Goul'd," Nat explained.
Jack looked at Sam. "Sorry I asked. Okay Carter, I hope you brought a deck of cards because it looks like you and me will be minding the ship."
General Hammond entered the gate room. "So colonel, do you mind telling me what your plan of action is before I let your team go?"
"Sorry General, in a nutshell, we planned to go to the Tok'ra home planet first. Jacob said he'd lend us one of their transport ships. From there we're going to fly in cloak to Chulac. When we're there, Teal'c and the lieutenant will get into the palace and Nat is going to pose as one of Amaunet's maids, hiding her identity with one of those face covering scarf things. Teal'c will be guarding the door like a normal jaffa bodyguard. The lieutenant will find the opportune moment and get Share with some chlorophyll and Teal'c will carry Sha're back out the way they came. We fly out of there and bring Sha're back here safely. Then we get Jacob here to take that snake out of Sha'res head and Daniel will be pleased," Jack explained. "But you know how our missions always end up. Guns blazing, damsels in distress, the usual. But don't worry Sir, we'll be back in a few hours I hope!"
Jack turned to Nat. "How DO you know about this secret entrance by the way?"
"Amaunet uses it to get out of the palace in emergencies. Teal'c didn't even know about it because Apophis and Amaunet both use different emergency exits to get out of the palace."

[8 hours later]
"Sir, we've got an incoming wormhole! It's SG-1!"
"Open the iris."
Nat and Sam came through the gate first. Jack and Teal'c followed behind, each holding onto one of Share's arms. Her hands were bound, and mouth gagged.
"Welcome back Sg-1. Good to see you succeeded," General Hammond greeted the team. "Lock her up until Jacob can come with the extraction device," He commanded.
Shortly after, Jacob, Martouf and Anise arrived. Martouf and Jacob carried a large trunk-size, black box.
Nat and Teal'c had gotten changed back into their army gear and met the Tok'ra and he rest of SG-1 in the infirmary. Dr Frasier had Amaunet/Sha're strapped onto the bed, face down, ready for the extraction.
Anise put what looked like a headband onto Amaunet/Sha'res head. "This is to monitor the symbiote," Anise explained, knowing that Janet was watching her like a hawk. Those two women got along like chalk and cheese.
"Why are we monitoring the symbiote? Just take it out and kill the damn thing!" Jack complained.
"We are monitoring the symbiote so we know to stop the extraction process if it attempts to release its toxins, which will kill the host," Anise explained. Jack nodded in compliance.
"Let's just hope it doesn't do that."
Everyone except for Jacob, Marty, Anise and Dr. Frasier stood in the viewing room, shielded by the enormous glass windows. They sat patiently for about half an hour before they saw Anise jolt backwards away from Amonnette/Sha're. "Stop the extraction!" Anise yelled at Marty and Jacob.
"What's going on down there kids?!" Jack asked through the microphone. Jacob turned towards the large windows.
"The symbiote was about to release its toxins. It's a sort of defense mechanism to stop us proceeding with the extraction, and it also prevents the host from telling any of the symbiote's secrets. We can't continue with the extraction," Jacob explained sympathetically.
General Hammond sighed. "Lock her up until we can think of something."
"What do we tell Daniel Jackson?" Teal'c asked.
Hammond shrugged. "For now, I'll inform him that we found Sha're and that we cant get the Goul'd out of her," Hammond replied, getting out his chair.

*incoming wormhole*
"Sir, it's Dr Jackson."
"Open the iris," Hammond commanded as he and Jack made their way to the gate room to meet Daniel.
Daniel ran through the gate, anxious to see Sha're again. Hammond had only told him that they had found Sha're, and that she was still possessed by Amaunet.
"Dr Jackson, welcome back," Hammond said as Daniel took off his backpack and threw it to the ground.
"Where's Share!" Daniel asked loudly.
Jack held up his hands. "Dan, I think first we should explain to you what has happened while you were gone," Jack suggested. Daniel have him an impatient look. "We'll only be ten minutes." Daniel agreed and they made their way to the briefing room.

"I want to talk to Amaunet," Nat told Jacob and Marty. They both gave her a weird look.
"Please," Nat pleaded. Jacob and Marty, who were guarding the room that held Amaunet/Sha're, unlocked the door and allowed for Nat to enter. "Lock the door behind me," Nat commanded. Marty nodded and locked the door. Nat walked into the concrete room and up to the small jail cell at the back of the room. Amaunet was leaning against the wall with a mischievous look on her face.
