Spoilers: Alright, if you haven't seen the more recent movie 'The Three Musketeers' with Charlie Sheen, or season eight of Stargate: SG-1, be warned, be VERY warned.

A/N: Don't ask my how it works, it just...does. I'm sorry if I don't seem all that inventive, it came to me last night when I was trying to go to sleep.

"Hey dad, am I going on a mission with you guys today?" A young girl asked, looking into her adoptive father's eyes.

He smiled at her through the curved metal rims of his glasses, "Yeah, P4X-821."

"Is it uninhabited, or do we know?" she asked, shrugging lightly under her black tee shirt as she reached for her dark green jacket to match the pants she already had on.

"Well, Alex, that's what we're going to find out", her father smiled back at her, also reaching for a similar shirt.

Knocking was heard then from the doorway of the metal edged room they were inside, and the duo looked to the newcomer, recognizing her immediately. The woman walked into the room to the open arms of the girl. The woman glazed at the man sternly, and he got the message.

"Come on, Danny, we don't want to be late." The woman commented, her crystal blue eyes staring him down from under her blond locks.

"Yeah, dad, let's go to the 'gate room with Aunt Sammy", the teenager bounced happily, grabbing a pack from the chair behind her.

"Alright, I'm ready now, I guess", Daniel rolled his eyes, a slight smile tugging at the corner of his pale lips.

The three of them headed down stairs to the "'gate room", where the Stargate from Giza was housed. The large smile that spread across their faces was quickly replaced with the questioning look of when they were going to leave this planet, and head off to another planet.

"So, Carter, off to 812?" An older gentleman asked, looking at the expressions on his friend's faces as a taller man with a darker complexion approached the group.

"O'Neill, I have you gear", the tall man announced, handing a vest and a weapon over to the older man, almost smiling, but retaining his rigid composure.

Slipping into the vest and checking the weapon over, the man smiled, "Thanks T. I guess this means we can go now."

"Uncle Jack, you're coming too?" Alexandria Jackson inquired the elder man, who was already standing at the foot of the long metal ramp.

"Yeah," he sighed softly, watching the device spin in place, "They wanted me to taste some salad."

The young girl giggled, and joined him at the bottom of the ramp as the rest of the team filed in along with them, and the technician above called out each designating chevron as it was encoded, forming the Stargate address of this other world. Once it stopped spinning, a large foaming mass darted forward and then retreated itself again, leaving behind a pool of standing, shimmering liquid that made up the event horizon of the wormhole hiding behind its boundaries. Stepping through to the other side, the team waited and wondered what awaited them upon their arrival.
