title: the best school year ever
summary: inuyasha and friends have been going to shikon high since third grade and nothing ever changes, until kagome and her little brother sota higurashi are transferred into the school. now this year is going to become interesting.
chapter 1. the switching of schools
Kagome took one last look out her bedroom window and saw her beautiful neighborhood one last time. She looked all around her room and said goodbye to it all. Her purple walls no longer had pictures of her friends and her favorite bands. Her closet was so empty, all her clothes that once covered her entire floor were now packed into suitcase and in the truck of her car. her room was never this empty, even when she was born it was covered with pictures and clothes. she felt so lonely in her room, which she never has before.
"kagome? are you still up there? Hurry up or your going to be late." called her mother from down the stairs. kagome gave out one last sigh before she walked out the room. but she stopped at the entry way and looked at it one last time. "I'm going to miss this house and room." she sighed yet again and walked down the stirs and into the living room where her brother and mother stood. "there you are. I thought you jumped out the window and ran for your life. (chuckle)." joked her mother. kagome snapped her fingers." why didn't I think of that?" she said. her family sweat dropped, for they knew she was serious. "well I will miss you so much you two. I can't believe my two precious children are leaving me (sob)." sota started crying and hugged his mother as tight as he could. kagome joined in after him and they stayed like that for about a minute. everyone let go and whipped away their tears. "oh, I wish we could all stay here as a family for just a little bit longer, but I am afraid you all must go or you'll be late for your first day." she said sadly.
kagome put her head down to the floor. she knew what her mother meant. her and sota have no choice but to go to a different school. you see it all started about a month ago. he and her brother were walking home from a friends party. all of a sudden, some guy jumps out and attacks them and tries to cut them. kagome took out a pencil and a bow she made from pencils and a rubber band and stabbed the guy right in the....well lets just saw lower half. the guy swore to kill them and so they have to be put in the whiteness protection program and have to be put in a private school called shikon high.
kagome snapped out of her daydream when she was bonked on the head by her very own mother. how rude of her. 'kagome wake up and get a move on sweaty, your going to be late, as usual." her mother tried to act as of nothing was happening. she didn't want to start crying again, it will ware her out and make her really really sad.
"bye mom. I'll miss you. I'll call you everyday. and I'll write you every week, okay?" said sota. even though he's fifteen, he still acts like a little kid. sota hugged his mother and took his seat in the passenger seat. "bye mom. I'll do the same. don't worry, I will try my hardest to find that guy. then we ca all go home and be a family again. so (sob) try not to (sob) cry." out came the tears. kagome gave her mother the biggest hug of her life and whipped her tear stained face. her mother waved goodbye as kagome climbed into the driver's seat and drove off to their new school ad home.
as kagome tried to focus on the road, all she can think about is how she will adapt to this school and what will be waiting for her there. this was going to be a long long school year.
