Chapter 1; Jeremiah Harris:

I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts," Buffy sang, trying to make that night's patrolling go faster.

"Buffy," warned Giles. "Don't you dare sing the next-"

"Dee-da-lee-dee," Buffy finished just to annoy the watcher.

"Line." Giles sighed and looked at his watch. "It seems a bit slow tonight."

Buffy shrugged. "Yep." She popped a piece of gum into her mouth, then started humming the intro to System of a Down's 'Toxicity'.

Giles looked at her funny. "Maybe it's your incessant singing and humming that's driving the undead away."

"Look, sweety, I don't want to hurt you," Jeremiah answered looking her up and down.

"A: don't call me sweety," Buffy said, tensing up. "and B: you won't." She threw a punch that broke his nose.

He grabbed his nose and swung at her blindly. "Damn you, slayer!" He tripped over a headstone and broke it, falling over and landing on his back.

Buffy was taken aback. "What did you just call me?
