This is something I wrote for English class in Grade 10, got 40/40 on it, and wanted to post it. There are 3 poems, each based on a different character in the Lord of the Flies novels. This one features the twins, and is the final poem in the trilogy of Inner Life.

Forced Traitors of Gemini

The lupine twins of old,
opposites of the cannibal fold.
Once old, twice young,
breathing from a single lung.
Protect yourself that be your kin,
but find the conjoined in living sin.
Forced traitors may you be,
voices hear and his ears see.
Betray the one who sharpens no stick,
pray to souls gone with a trick.
For the shadows heartened that you bear,
give to Lord Fear the true one's lair.
