Chapter 8; Even Bigger Disaster
Marshall: Ryder, how are we going to get out of the lookout without Alex seeing us? The last thing I want to deal with right now is trying to explain to him what is happening.
Ryder: Honestly, I don't have a clue. You may have to tell him or you might get lucky and he will not notice you.
Rocky: If we go now, he may still be distracted by Skye.
(Rocky's pup tag lights up)
(Skye is calling Rocky. Rocky answers the call)
Rocky: What's wrong Skye?
Skye: First off… what is happening? You guys just vanished without telling me what was going on. And why is there pee in the elevator?
Rocky: There is no time to explain. Where is Alex?
Skye: We are outside looking for you guys. I distracted him as long as I could but now, he won't leave until he sees Marshall.
Rocky: Okay… well, in a minute, take him to Katie's. We need to go there to give Marshall a bath. For now, take him around the back so we have enough time to sneak by and go to Katie's.
Skye: Okay! But, you better explain what happened when I get there.
Rocky: I will but right now, I need you to distract him a little longer.
Skye: Roger that!
(Call ends)
Rocky: Alright, you guys need to go quick. Unless you want to deal with Alex.
Marshall: Yeah… don't want to deal with him right now.
Rocky: Okay. I'll go out and check to make sure the coast is clear.
Ryder: Sounds good. Zuma, you take your hovercraft, Marshall and I will take my ATV.
Marshall: You may want to wear your same clothes, since you have to hold me on the way there.
Ryder: Good call!
(Ryder changes into different clothes that aren't so nice)
(Rocky goes to check if the coast is clear)
Rocky: Everything is good! Now, go, quick, so Alex doesn't catch on.
Ryder: Alright, let's go!
(Ryder, Marshall, and Zuma leave the lookout)
(Driving down the road)
(Ryder calls Katie)
Katie: Hey Ryder, what's up?
Ryder: Hey Katie. I'm bringing Marshall and Zuma in for emergency baths. There was a little accident at the lookout.
(Marshall has to pee again and can't hold it… again)
Katie: What kind of accident?
Ryder: Well, one of the pups are kind of soaked and… wait… Marshall! Really? Again? You could have given me a warning at least!
Marshall: Sorry! Didn't know I had some left in the tank. And you were on the phone so…
Ryder: (To Katie) That's what kind of accident I mean.
Katie: Well, how did the other one get involved?
Ryder: Stepped in it and wanted a bath because it smells bad.
Katie: Alright, two baths coming right up.
Ryder: Thanks!
(Ends call)
Ryder: (to Marshall) Why didn't you tell me you needed to go before we left?
Marshall: Because I didn't want to be caught by Alex.
Ryder: Well, you owe Rocky something since he has to clean my ATV. Good call on the clothes though. Otherwise, I would have been really mad.
(They arrive at Katie's)
(Ryder is carrying in Marshall and Zuma is following behind them)
Katie: Hey guys, I got to baths ready for you two. And Ryder, you want a change of clothes? I still have the ones you wanted me to wash after the last accident.
Ryder: Yeah. Because my clothes are a bit… wet to say the least.
Katie: Here, let me go get those for you.
(Skye, Rocky, and Alex arrive at Katie's)
Rocky: Hey Ryder, we were just looking for Marshall.
Ryder: He's in the bath right now, but you can go say hi if you want to.
Rocky: Okay! Come on guys, this way!
Skye: (To Ryder) Why are you soaking wet?
Ryder: I'll tell you later.
(Alex follows behind Rocky and Skye)
(Marshall and Zuma are sitting in two separate baths)
Marshall: Hey Alex!
Alex: Hey Marshall! Why did you leave without telling us?
Skye: Yeah. We looked everywhere for you.
Marshall: Sorry… I figured Skye already knew that I took a bath this time in the week.
(Marshall winks at Skye, but Skye doesn't notice it)
Skye: I thought it was on Tuesday nights.
Marshall: Well, it is but I missed it so I went tonight.
(Marshall winks again at Skye, but Skye doesn't see it again)
Skye: No, you didn't. I remember you left on Tuesday to take a bath because you were concerned about leaving with your…
Rocky: (Interrupts) Skye!
Skye: What?
(Rocky shrugs at Alex, and Skye remembers)
Skye: Oh yeah. That's what it was. You were concerned about leaving without your splint for your leg.
Zuma: Wait, I thought it was because he didn't want to be seen wearing a diaper.
Marshall: ZUMA!
Zuma: What?
(Zuma notices Marshall start turning red in the face)
Zuma: Ohhhhhhh. That's why Skye made up that last part. I am sooo sorry Marshall…
Alex: Wait, you wear diapers?
Marshall: *sighs* Right now, yes. Since I can't use my leg, I can't use it to go to the bathroom either. So the doctors are having me wear a diaper until I can use my leg again.
Alex: Wow… I'm sorry you have to deal with that… but why didn't you just tell me?
Marshall: Because it's so embarrassing. I'm supposed to be an older brother figure for most of the members of the PAW Patrol, but it's so difficult when you're wearing a stupid diaper. And that's already bad enough, I don't want to have all of Adventure Bay to know this either. Especially our enemies.
Alex: That makes sense. I promise not to tell anyone about this, if that makes you feel better.
Marshall: Thanks.
Alex: But why are you at Katie's?
Marshall: Well, since I didn't wear a diaper while you were over, I kinda… well… had an accident… I was perfectly fine when you first came over, but then Zuma scared me, and I held it for like 20 minutes. And when I landed in Ryder's lap, I told him that I had to go to the bathroom ASAP. On the way down the elevator, when we started to go down, the elevator jolted down, and that was the last straw.
Alex: That's why there was a puddle in the middle of the elevator.
Skye: I figured that it was someone else, like Rubble, or Zuma.
Zuma: What?! I would never pee myself.
Rocky: What about that one time in the middle of the night when…
Zuma: We don't talk about that night. Hey Rocky, what about that one night when you stepped in your own water bowl and then…
Rocky: Nothing happened that night, I don't know what you're talking about!
(Ryder walks in, fully changed and showered)
Ryder: Hey Marshall! You ready to go back to the lookout after you get out of your weekly bath?
Skye: Alex knows… You missed quite a bit.
Ryder: Oh… what about…
Skye: Yes, he knows why he peed himself as well.
Ryder: Okay then… Well, how about we head back to the lookout and play a game? I have a game that we can all play.
