Here it is, the 105th full chapter of Miraculous Quirks released on the right day as promised. While Adrien and Marinette are having their private moment there are other things afoot in Japan so it is time to briefly turn to them for a chapter and get the update of what happened in Deika to conclude the mission that Fei was sent on a few chapters back as we continue the steady transition to the next arc of the story. That is all the administrative stuff I have for now and while there are no review questions to answer there are some clarifications and responses from reviews to make which I will do now. Do keep the reviews coming as I enjoy hearing from y'all. That is all I have for this pre chapter note so that means that it is time to sit back, relax, and enjoy the 105th full chapter of Miraculous Quirks.

Disclaimer: I do not own either of these great works of fiction.

Chapter 105: What Happened in Deika

The eagle soared down towards the peak of the highest mountain that surrounded Deika City and towards the hooded figure who stood atop it, the wind and snow that billowed around the figure not affecting it in the slightest. It barely affected the eagle either other than in terms of wind as it descended before morphing a few feet from the ground and changing into the form of a lithe woman with a similar cloak on that covered her head and stayed in place despite the conditions. The woman landed on the ground with a crunch of boots on fresh snow and bowed her head.

"Mage, thank you for coming." Fei said in English as she raised her head to look at the hooded face of her boss, his distinctive lilac cloak clear to her but the special fabric the cloaks they wore ensured that only they could see each other at the moment just like how it had been when she'd given him her report in Kyushu. "I take it that you've tapped into Sonic's power to ensure that we aren't overheard."

"As always." Mage said moving his cloak to show his drawn dagger in his right hand to confirm Fei's query. "She understands the usefulness of her element and how we all owe her for tapping into it, which you can bet she'll call in whenever she needs those favors. Anyway, what's the report? What actually happened here because I know that what the public's been told isn't the truth. It seldom is in this day and age."

It was the wee hours, the darkest part of the night on Boxing Day and after a few weeks on the ground in the city below it Mage had come here to get Fei's report on the situation. He'd just left Adrien and Marinette to enjoy a private Christmas moment and after sorting out a few things with Sanguina in the office he'd come here for the truth of what had recently happened in Deika City.

Fei for her part had been in the city for a while and almost entirely in various animal forms keeping an eye on what had been going on both before, during, and after the Deika Incident. It hadn't been nice, she really hated eating rats and other vermin as a snake to satisfy her hunger, but she knew that she had to get reports and while her cloak could hide her from mortals, but it didn't make her intangible. That and she'd learned really quickly how tightly knit Deika City actually was and how she would have stood out as an outsider if she was in her normal human form.

Besides, she could learn a lot more when she was in her mantis and snake forms than anything else and Mage would extract her memories later to properly view what had happened, this was just an initial report on what had happened. What had happened was beyond anything that she'd expected and did not bode well for the heroes of Japan when the full ramifications of the events in Deika came to a head.

"A lot but the short of it was that you were right, those four were tied to the Meta Liberation Army." Fei said. "I came here early and got into the central tower that was the hub of the city in my snake form before making my way to the top in mantis form to learn who they were. There is at least one more senior figure, a hooded man who can manipulate ice and even reduce the temperature of water molecules to freeze them for more ice called Geten. He's got a lot of range and power, easily on par with a pro as he trains his Quirk daily, but I'll get to more about him later."

"Is he a senior member?" Mage asked.

"More a devoted bodyguard to Yotsubashi as he doesn't seem to have a position of power or influence in wider society, but he's kept in the loop likely due to his loyalty to the cause and he is without question a fanatic when it comes to this ideology." Fei said. "I'd classify Geten as a senior member but more of a field commander than anything else. Also, from now on I'll be using the Meta codenames as they call them for the four senior figures you identified and yes all of them are or were senior leaders in the Meta Liberation Army but there is a bigger concern with Yotsubashi because of his Meta codename. Sir, his codename is Re-Destro."

"Come again?" Mage asked surprised at the name. "Re-Destro? That's certainly a deliberate choice of a name for this movement. I take it that he's trying to emulate Destro then, bolster his leadership by invoking and comparing himself to the founder of their ideology. It's certainly not uncommon when it comes to terrorist movements like this one."

"It's more than that." Fei said shaking her head. "From what I picked up he's actually related to Destro, a direct descendent along the male line from Destro himself who has been groomed for this role all his life. He was rather boastful back when the battle began so I learned all of this. Also, his Stress Quirk is a lot stronger than his records indicate it is, same with all of them to some extent actually."

"Not a surprise, a villain like that wouldn't be truthful though given how they hid in plain sight they would have to have submitted true enough records to avoid suspicion." Mage said as he thought on Fei's words. "So, it seems that the whole world missed that Destro had a kid to further his line and legacy. It's not a surprise, he was based here in Japan when we had no presence and taken down without our aid, so we never tried to check it out as we had to deal with the factions in other countries, so I'm not surprised we missed it. It wouldn't be the first time in history that a maniac did something like that, a way to preserve the bloodline and come full circle from the shadows even after death."

"That is an understatement." Fei said. "I didn't get actual numbers but almost all of Deika City, at least 80 to 90% if I had to guess, believe in the Meta Liberation philosophy and this is just part of their strength."

"Terror cells are like that." Mage said with a sigh. "But I presume the HPSC has a spy on the inside for this. Something like this would get their attention for sure."

"They do and I'll get to it in time though I think it was all inadvertent given who it is." Fei said. "Because it wasn't long after I got here that the others arrived and showed their true colors. You were right, the other three were senior members and devout believers as well. They go by Trumpet for Hanabata, Skeptic for Chikazoku, and Curious for Kizuki which are all fitting names even if only Trumpet is actually related to the person's Quirk in any way and boy is that a Quirk fit for a politician, but you already know what it is so no point in rehashing it. Not all of them remain, however, seeing as Curious died in the battle that occurred here."

"I heard of Kizuki's death, so she went by the alias Curious." Mage said thinking. "And I take it her death was not an accident as it was reported in the wake of the incident. Not a surprise given how she was the media figure for the group so they could easily use her death to cover up things."

"No, she and several other Deika citizens who were direct followers of her were killed by Himiko Toga." Fei said. "Many others died, more than was reported I bet, also died at the hands of Dabi, Twice, and Shigaraki himself. At least that I saw I can't confirm how many other died from friendly fire, Spinner, Mr. Compress, or the final part of the battle."

"Come again?" Mage said as he processed what Fei was saying. "The League of Villains was here?"

"They were." Fei confirmed with a nod. "That was what I learned was their plan. They were having some festival, the called it the Revival Celebration, with the League's remaining members as the prime targets. They kidnapped a black-market middle man who had strong and close ties to the League called Giran to get the information from him, tortured him pretty bad and Skeptic used his skills to retrieve the intel and then used his network to target them. Shigaraki seemed off from what I saw but I'll get to him in time, the main goal was to invite them here and kill them to remove the threat their mere reputation posed to the Meta Liberation Army especially because the MLA was larger than the League."

"That makes sense." Mage said. "Rival underworld groups either form uneasy alliances to avoid conflict, especially when they know that conflict would weaken them, or wage war on each other if one side feels like it can win without much loss to their power. Clearly the Meta Liberation Army went for the latter. The destruction that I saw here when reviewing the news footage of the incident is in part what Shigaraki could do though more than I would have expected."

"Oh, it gets worse." Fei said.

"In my experience always does." Mage said. "Alright, start from the beginning of this battle. It doesn't surprise me that the real reason for all of this is a war between the Meta Liberation Army and the League of Villains."

"It started with them being greeted on the outskirts by a hero who's betrayed his duty and works for the Meta Liberation Army." Fei said her tone angry at that fact. "The hero was some guy called Slidin' Go. I watched it all as mantis from the central tower as that was the best point thanks to Skeptic being the tech guy. No one notices me in that form so I was able to spy on him the entire time, that's how I learned so much and my memories will really help decipher what I saw I am sure."

"Of course, they'd have to have some heroes on their side to pull something like this off without any heroes around." Mage said. "And he's not a plant by the HPSC?"

"No, I followed him a bit in the aftermath and confirmed, he's a traitor to the heroes and I am sure that there are others, but Slidin' Go is clearly the most senior of the heroes who believe in this philosophy." Fei spat. "People like him are worst kind of scum to me, those who abuse the power entrusted them to protect society or betray the people they are sworn to serve, they deserve to harshest punishments possible."

"I know of worse but trust me I have no patience for traitors." Mage said darkly and Fei knew exactly who Mage was referring to there, all those who served the Guardians knew of Spirit and her treason to them. "He'll be dealt with accordingly, don't worry about it. Back in the days of the old HPSC president he'd have send his trained assassin Lady Nagant to kill him and then dispose of the body where it would never be found, but the current president isn't like that, she'll make sure he's a priority target when the time comes."

"Good he should rot in prison for the rest of his life, at best." Fei said. "The end of a rope is what he truly deserves though."

"I agree but it will be up to the courts to determine his fate but treason, and mark my words this will be treated as such, is a capital offense in Japan." Mage said. "Go on, what happened after the League arrived."

"There was an announcement and then the town attacked separating the League members." Fei said. "It was chaos and pandemonium as Trumpet whipped people up into a frenzy and fighting was everywhere. Despite their numbers, the people were mostly outclassed by the likes of Dabi and Shigaraki. That was why that Geten guy was out, he faced off with Dabi and held him to a standstill during the fight, likely at Re-Destro's direct orders as Dabi's Quirk is the only ranged one the League had. Ice is bad against fire, but Dabi seems to have a tradeoff to his flames."

"He does?" Mage asked. "He usually uses them in short burst as he doesn't really need to do much more than a brief, overwhelming, attack with them to be effective given how hot they are."

"Well, Geten was able to hold him off and force a prolonged battle which showed that Dabi can't create them for extended periods of time." Fei said. "It's as if his body isn't designed to handle the intense heat of his flames for some reason but he seemed to not be slowed by the ice at the same time as if he was built to handle extreme cold not extreme heat."

"Interesting." Mage said thinking on it and what he'd heard about a certain family that could explain it but only if things weren't as they seemed. "I will personally look more into that but go on, they dueled and then what?"

"Pretty much a standstill, once Geten got involved against Dabi they were locked in battle." Fei said with a shrug. "Plenty of destruction and death caused by both of them, Geten seemed to not care for friendly fire, but it was all incidental to their own battle. It was Toga that was the big one."

"What happened with her?" Mage asked. "You said that she killed Curious. If I recall from the official records, Kizuki's Quirk was called Landmine and allowed her to bestow explosive properties on whatever she touched be it organic or inorganic. They aren't deadly enough to kill on their own though."

"No but she made up for it by making loads of them on a target and she even put them in the blood of her, um, simps I guess is the best term for her devoted male followers, so that when Toga tried to suck their blood using her support item it blew up injuring Toga and rendering the blood useless." Fei said. "That just added to everything going on as Curious was on the front lines targeting Toga directly and she was solely focused on Toga, it was the only reason she was risking her life at all from what I gathered."

"Why?" Mage asked. "Why did she single out Toga?"

"Various reasons it seems." Fei said. "Toga is unique in the League of Villains in that she's the only woman, well Magne was trans but biologically male before, er, she was killed by Overhaul, and what's more Toga comes from a loving family as far as I can tell. She's the youngest member who had a normal life until some incident in school where she sucked the blood from a boy with a straw, one she'd attacked, and then went on the run. She was by all reports a normal, well-adjusted girl who just snapped and would eventually become a serial killer who was influenced by Stain's ideology and ended up joining the League to live the life she wants to live. She's rather warped in the head."

"Unfortunately, that can happen." Mage said with a sigh. "Some Quirks by their very nature mess with human psychology and cause unexpected reactions. Such is the nature of the human mind when it deals with the powers that Quirks can provide. I'll have Technus look into Toga's past, she uses her real name unlike the other League members and see what happened there. Her Quirk though, it's not one that a weak mind can handle and manifesting in a child as almost all Quirks do, well let's just say a child's brain can't handle a power that is triggered by drinking blood at all."

"Blood based Quirks seem to be like that." Fei said. "Does Sanguina have anything to say about it?"

"She'd need to see Toga face to face and watch her Quirk in action first hand to understand more and that won't happen until she's captured." Mage said. "But go on, what was Curious's end game?"

"An interview with her about her descent from normal teen girl to villainy and how she acquired the survival skills she did." Fei said. "Before Toga tragically died as a villain. It was, according to Curious from what I could hear over Skeptic's computer, going to be a great story if it could be told. It also showed how Curious manipulated the media to her advantage, a skill she clearly mastered at some point in the past."

"People like Curious have always existed but clearly this time it didn't work because Toga turned the tables on Curious." Mage surmised. "How'd she manage that? I presume it was using her knives as Toga is good with them."

"That wasn't it." Fei said shaking her head. "She tried but Curious had some support item to defend against it from what I saw. No, it's worse. Mage, Toga's Quirk has ascended or awakened depending on the term you prefer to use for when something like that happens."

"Wait what?" Mage asked his eyes wide. "That's almost unheard of these days, are you serious?"

"No other way it could be." Fei said. "Toga used some blood she had on her before coming here to turn into Ochaco Uraraka, she seems a bit obsessed with Uraraka and Midoriya I think, but it didn't last long, and she was getting desperate to escape and survive as Curious toyed with her and closed in on killing her for the sake of her story. It was life or death, and her emotions were running high so, well…"

"Her Quirk awakened as can happen in such situations." Mage said getting it as he put the pieces together. "Let me guess, her Transformation Quirk changed from being surface level like we believe it to be to being deeper and going right down to the cellular level. She literally turned into Uraraka down to her cells which means that she would have gained access to Uraraka's Zero Gravity Quirk as Transformation changed Toga's Quirk genes to those of Uraraka's."

"Precisely." Fei said with a nod. "She used it with the last of strength to make Curious and her henchmen simps to float and then she released them before staggering away to hide though she was gravely wounded and would die without medical attention. All that is important for the next big event of this battle."

"Not hard to deduce what happened when she released them." Mage said. "Gravity is a constant after all, well other than for someone like Quasar but he is its Guardian, and while Uraraka herself would never use her Quirk in such a way it isn't a surprise that it can be extremely lethal when used like that. Alright, so what was the next development in this seven layered shit cake that was this battle."

"Twice." Fei said simply. "He got over his mental block or trauma or whatever was going on with him though I think there are still some underlying issues there. He's no longer a nuisance who can duplicate up to two people, he can duplicate himself again and when he duplicates a person it is a full duplication down to the cellular level which thus includes their Quirk."

"It was one of the greatest fears of the HPSC." Mage said as he took yet another piece of bad news from this situation. "We know little about Bubaigawara's past or what caused his seemingly split personality, but this aspect of his Quirk was always a great fear. He'll be a prime target because if this is true then his classification has jumped up to at least A-Rank if not full S-Rank. Toga too will have her rank changed to at least A-Rank if she can gain access to the Quirks of the people she transforms into."

"It's going to be the latter for Twice, he's an S-Rank for sure, I know that rank well given the restrictions on my own power." Fei said. "Twice can create an army by himself, and all of his clones can create two duplicates themselves which means that he can create other people, he did so with Shigaraki as a distraction to allow the real one to get to the tower and destroy its base with Decay but I'm getting ahead of myself there. All of Twice's clones get weaker as the further from the original they are but he makes up for less and less durability with overwhelming numbers."

"That is the reason for why it's a powerful and dangerous Quirk that was feared by the HPSC but contained as Twice didn't seem to duplicate himself until now." Mage said. "So how did it happen?"

"Skeptic tracked him down and had some of his puppets that he can make with his Anthropomorph Quirk, he can control them remotely and many at once which makes him a lot stronger than I'd expected, to pin and injure Twice while trying to kill Toga as Twice had gone to help her." Fei said. "Unfortunately, it seems that by breaking Twice's bones Twice got over his block for creating duplicates of himself and that's what allowed him to unleash the full power of his Quirk."

"Likely there is some mental trauma from previously duplicating himself that led to Twice's mental state deteriorating to the point that he wouldn't do it." Mage said thinking on it. "Possibly even doubting his own real existence or if he was a duplicate which can cause a serious existential crisis in a normal person let alone someone like Bubaigawara. We know from Eraser that a Twice clone can sustain about two broken bones before it melts and that is at its most durable. I'd theorize that Twice realized that he was the real one when he didn't turn to mud or whatever it is after more injuries than that and that coupled with a desire to save Toga led to his actions."

"I'd need to look into it more but that does sound like a good theory." Fei said. "Regardless it turned the tide in the battle because now the League had an army of their own and ensured that they could trick Re-Destro with a duplicate of Shigaraki to allow the real one to destroy the tower and bring Re-Destro down to his level. I had to turn into my eagle form to escape the collapsing tower. I saw the rest from high above and frankly that was the safest place for it."

"So, you saw what caused all the destruction." Mage said and Fei nodded at that. "What was it?"

"Mostly Shigaraki." Fei said. "Re-Destro unleased the full nature of Stress, it allows him to turn his stress into power and he transformed into some massive monster that could withstand Shigaraki's Decay to some extent. He can even concentrate his stress into some balls in his hands for a ranged attack and he has a special item that can push his stress levels beyond 100%."

"No wonder he's seen as the ideal Destro successor." Mage said. "His power alone stands out though I for one don't recall what Destro's Quirk was and it could be very different to what Re-Destro's is given how Quirks change over the generations. However, I take it that Re-Destro lost."

"He did." Fei said. "He had Shigaraki at his mercy and was badly injuring him, but Shigaraki had some kind of awakening of his own though I don't think that it was a true Quirk awakening as it didn't fundamentally change his Quirk just increased its strength, but it could be a true awakening for all I know as I don't really know how that stuff works. To me though it just seemed as if some mental or repressed block had been removed and the true nature of Decay was unleashed."

"True nature?" Mage asked.

"Rather than just being what he touched, he was able to extend it to anything in contact with what he's touching, and he can use his feet as well I think." Fei explained as she tried to put into words what had happened. "It was like Agreste's Cataclysm though still limited to the parts of Shigaraki's body it can come from and he has no finite control over it. Whatever the case it wasted a large swath of the city, that was one of the two main causes of destruction, and hit Re-Destro in the process. The man had to hack off his own legs with a large piece of broken metal to save himself."

"Decay spreads to whatever Shigaraki touches with all his fingers and as we saw with what he did to Overhaul, amputation is the only way to prevent death once touched and only if the spread is from a non-lethal, easy to remove, point." Mage said. "Quick thinking to do that but without legs it will hinder some of Re-Destro's power. Still, there is more destruction in Deika than just that. It's as if a full-scale wrecking ball plowed towards the epicenter."

"That's because it did though I believe Gran Torino's report called it a walking disaster." Fei said. "All for One's most devoted follower, a monster called Gigantomachia, appeared. I don't know the full backstory to that one, but I think he'd been fighting Shigaraki for some reason and somehow tracked him to Deika but when he got here and saw Shigaraki had won he knelt to him and acknowledged him as All for One's successor. So did Re-Destro, he gave the Meta Liberation salute and bowed to Shigaraki admitting defeat and claiming true liberation or something along those lines. I was a little too high in the air to really hear what was going on."

"That doesn't sound good." Mage said. "Especially because we know that Re-Destro and Trumpet are still active in their day jobs."

"No, it's not." Fei said. "I followed them to a villa in the mountains as eagle and turned into Mantis to sneak into the underground base and learned the truth of the aftermath of the battle. Sir, the League of Villains and the Meta Liberation Army have merged and created a new group called the Paranormal Liberation Front with Shigaraki at the head as the Grand Commander and the resources of the Meta Liberation Army fully under his command."

"That's not good at all." Mage said. "So, what's the structure of it?"

"There are now 9 lieutenants, 7 of whom command the 4 branches that have been created between them with two others whose skills are separate from the branches as they are Re-Destro and Trumpet." Fei said. "As you can see they are made up from the senior figures of the two organizations though I didn't get the finite details of how the groups that they lead or the substructure under them as that hasn't been revealed yet."

"Let me guess." Mage said. "The other 7 lieutenants are, Skeptic, Twice, Toga, Spinner, Mr. Compress, Dabi, and someone else. I would have guessed Curious but she's dead."

"Geten is the last one." Fei said. "Likely a promotion due to the death of Curious in the battle and because of his long, loyal, service to Re-Destro. Only Twice is a sole commander and they have advisors under them but that's all I've managed to get before I had to get back to Deika for more information of what was going on here and to give you this update."

"You did well Fei." Mage said. "And I take it the heroes know as well."

"The HPSC has to be aware or at least will be aware of it soon." Fei said. "Hawks was there, and I saw his face, he's definitely on our side because he was clearly not a fanatic like the rest during the announcement in the villa. I presume that he was there because of his work to infiltrate the League led him to this point. That's why it's more of an indirect infiltration."

"Yes this confirms it." Mage said. "And explains why he's been away from his agency for a while now. Alright that also explains the other developments we've heard from the HPSC."

"Other developments?" Fei asked. "I've been rather out of the loop as you know."

"The work studies have resumed for all hero schools and they're now mandatory." Mage said. "All students with a provisional license must engage in one and basically all hero agencies are allowed to take work study students now. The cost alone is staggering but the HPSC would only do this if they had no other option, and it seems like they don't. Likely they know more than we do about this Paranormal Liberation Front's manpower and need to support the current hero ranks with students as logistic or specific support for what is to come. It's the only explanation for it. It also explains the sudden team up interest for students outside of their work studies but that hasn't been implemented yet."

"Ah yes that isn't good, but I can safely say that something big is coming so it doesn't surprise me that HPSC is preparing for it." Fei said. "Does this mean that war is about to break out?"

"I hope to all the gods that have ever existed that it doesn't mean war." Mage said seriously. "Japan has become the beacon of the Quirk era in the wake of the chaos that the Quirk Wars caused so if it falls then the rest of the world might as well. Add in that the current US President is not a strong man so there are legitimate fears that America might cave to a powerful villain. I'll inform Dominus of this at once so that we can get Demos on top of things there. I'll do what I can here."

"There's not much we can do though." Fei said. "This is a human thing; we are beyond that."

"You are still semi-mortal and can act in some ways that I can't, expect to have dragon authorization when all this goes down." Mage said. "And I'll provide what support I can, but I won't be able to actively fight unless it is against some international threat and even then I have to wait to be attacked first. Marinette and Adrien can and will, they are eligible for this and will likely work with some of my sidekicks that aren't Sub-Guardians when the time comes. One thing is certain, the HPSC is preparing a preemptive strike to wipe out this threat in one fell swoop and avoid war, but they won't act until they have concrete information from Hawkes and know the best moment to hit this new threat before it manifests."

"Will that be enough?" Fei asked.

"I hope so, but the future is unclear." Mage said looking past Fei and through the snow to the ruins of Deika. "That much I know. We must be ready, and we will be, at least within what we can do to support the heroes and prevent the world from falling int chaos for that is our mandate."

"Agreed." Fei said with a bow of her head. "And that is the report sir. I'll provide my memories for a further look when you have a moment but what should I do now?"

"I will review the memories as soon as I can seeing as I'm still on a medical leave of absence until the new year." Mage said. "But for now, I want you go back to Musutafu and take a break, you earned it. The only thing I need from you right now is a bakery update for Marinette that I want you to give her in 4 days' time. The other important parties will be there as we can prepare for the new year as the students get to go home for New Year's Eve and then they will start their second work studies in the new year. I'll need you again for that though."

"I am here to serve." Fei said. "Though I will enjoy a little break and some proper food during it. Anything else sir?"

"One thing, a potential problem that may require our intervention in our official capacity as a hero agency." Mage said. "An international threat might come to Japan, one that only we have the proper authority to deal with."

"We still do that stuff?" Fei asked.

"Yes we still have an actual job that we must do whenever it comes up." Mage said. "And I just got word from Umbra two days' ago that there's been a sighting of a wanted fugitive, one who is number 6 on America's most wanted and number 22 globally as she fled the US some time ago. That fugitive seems to be heading towards Japan at the moment so we'd have to deal with it should it make landfall."

"I think I know who you're talking about, the one who was once a hero student in America if I recall." Fei said. "Who your all-American sidekick BB has some issues with if I recall."

"Correct so she'll take point if that fugitive appears in Japan but only for apprehension as she's not the most subtle tracker especially as a westerner in Japan." Mage said. "The fugitive was spotted in Singapore last week and Umbra sent a team of sidekicks to catch her, but they failed, and the fugitive escaped. She's in southeast Asia, they got a tracker on one of her lackies, and her path is taking her towards Japan for some reason. I've left the information in your apartment for you to look over and keep an eye on her movements in your spare time."

"I can do that; this one is one that betrayed the side of heroes because of her own issues, an incident that made her unqualified for a hero license, and arrogance if I recall." Fei said. "I'm just surprised that Umbra didn't go herself to get her. She is a Guardian after all, and Singapore is our only other agency in the far east that is manned by an actual Guardian. That could have been our best chance at catching this fugitive."

"You know how subtle Umbra is." Mage said. "Her choice of a one-handed battle hammer as her weapon is not just for show, that woman is a hammer with a penchant for leaving utter destruction in her wake. It's part of why she's based out in Singapore as the rules there keep her in check."

"You'd thing that the Guardian of Darkness would be, you know, sneaky and subtle by nature." Fei said. "She isn't though."

"No hence why she didn't act directly as the Quirk this fugitive has is also a destructive one and she's always had the scorched earth approach hence why she's been so hard to capture." Mage said. "It's why I want you to take point on her should she make it to Japan. BB is a door knocker and head breaker not a tracker and planner. Well, Ben is but when it comes to battle it will be Beth and she's about as subtle as a sledgehammer to the face and that's on a good day."

"She's built for that but can do." Fei said with a nod. "But if that is all I really should be going, I have a date with my bath, and you'd better make sure there's a ton of junk food and good beer and wine for me there."

"It will be by the time you get there." Mage said. "You've done well Fei, thank you for doing this."

"I pledged myself to the Guardians and accepted this role, I will do it until someone is strong enough to kill me in battle." Fei said. "And let us hope it doesn't come in the coming engagement."

"Agreed." Mage said. "I will see tomorrow to get your memories and then again with the bakery update in a few days. Until then rest, we won't have much more of it if a war is truly on the horizon."

With that there was an intense gust of wind and the snow swirled in a flurry around Mage wiping his cloak around him and obscuring him for a moment. When it faded he was gone, and Fei was alone just as she'd expected to be. It had been a hectic few weeks here, but she'd done her job and found out more than she could have expected. With her intel they could assist the heroes in getting ready for what was to come, and she was pleased with that.

Now, though, she had a proper meal, bath, and bed waiting for her and she transformed into the eagle form to fly off to her apartment to enjoy a rest and prepare for what was to come. Fei wasn't sure what exactly would come but she was sure of one thing, it would be a battle unlike any Japan had seen in decades and would likely change hero society forever regardless of how it went down.

Well, there it is, the update to what happened in Deika and Fei's mission there to give some background to what is going on around Japan and have a nod the My Villain Academy arc as this is the most we'll see or hear of it until the aftermath is shown when we reach the Paranormal Liberation war arch in about 27 Parts' time. There really isn't much more to say to this chapter, it was simply a recap of the events in Deika as best as Fei could tell them as well as setting up something that will be original content to fill out the Endeavor Agency arc as the second work study will focus on Marinette and Adrien's work study with the Guardian Agency and leave the rest to happen as is with one exception. All in good time though as it is time to bring this chapter to an end, next up the penultimate of the transition chapters which also has set ups for future chapters in it. That is all I have for y'all, so it is time to leave this chapter off here. As always, if you like it or have any questions please let me know in reviews or PMs, I will try to answer them as best I could and post any questions asked between uploads at the start of the next chapter and do follow and favorite this, so you are alerted to future uploads. Do keep the reviews coming as I like hearing from y'all as you enjoy my work, it motivates me to keep producing the best work I can for y'all to enjoy. Until next time.
