On Today's Episode: Corvus has betrayed Boogie Gus and James by sending them back to the present day, but he's also kidnapped Kana in the process, so the spies head downtown for the final showdown to both stomp Corvus and get Kana out of his skeevy clutches. But what new tricks has Corvus learned since the last time they crossed swords, and can the spies defeat this dark magician before anything happens to the city?

Act 3: The End of Time

8:28 P.M. – Downtown Beverly Hills

The spies looked around to see where Corvus had gotten away with Kana.

"Where the hell are you, Corvus?!" Sam growled, obviously fuming that her future daughter had been spy-napped.

"Don't tire yourself shouting, Sam," Mat replied. "I'm pretty sure he's going to show up eventually."

"But it could be a trap," Future May replied.

"Lo and behold, you were right!" Klee exclaimed to Mat.

As it turned out, Corvus came out of hiding with the most sinister smirk on his face.

("Somewhere I Belong" by Linkin Park plays)

"So glad you could make it, spies," Corvus sneered. "And here I was thinking you were going to leave me high and dry."

"Not when you've got our daughter in your grimy clutches, you bastard!" Sam screamed. "Now give Kana back, or else!"

"Totally!" Mat proclaimed. "We'll fight like hell to get our honey-buns back!"

"And what, exactly, are you going to do about it?" Corvus taunted, as if he wasn't afraid of anything.

Future May took that taunting as a green light to hurl a warning shot at Corvus via her trusty anchor.

"Oh, we're very glad you asked that, freak show..." Nick replied with a smirk of his own. "Because you've crossed yet another line with your overconfidence that WILL cost you!"

"Oh, we'll see about that," Corvus laughed as he raised his hand, causing dark energy to explode outwards from his fist in a shockwave that forced most of the spies to scatter. Nick, Klee, and Future Nick all protected themselves with psychic barriers. "This won't be the same as last time."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, we've heard it all before," Alex taunted as Corvus rushed her surrounded by a dark sphere. Alex raised a Sonic Disintegrator Boombox to blast Corvus back and break the bubble.

"Now YOU TELL US WHERE KANA IS!" Sam screamed.

"Now, my dear, why would I do that?" Corvus chuckled, only for something to land on his shoulder. Corvus only had time to notice that it was a Baron Bunny plushie before it exploded in his face, sending him reeling.

"Wait, who's throwing exploding plushies all of a sudden?" Nozomi wondered.

Klee suddenly broke out into a wide smile when she realized who had just assisted them. "I think I know who," Klee giggled. "You're right on time as always, Amber!"

The spies looked up just in time to see the other members of Klee's spy team, Amber, Mona and Sucrose, jumping down from a nearby rooftop.

"Well, we heard that this little nutball was on the loose, so we figured we'd come to help you out, Klee," Amber responded.

"We've got a slight problem, though," Klee stated. "Cloak boy here kidnapped Kana before we caught up to him."

"Well, then, we'll hold him off so you can go and find her," Sucrose proclaimed.

"Yeah, we can handle this joke!" Mona laughed.

"A joke, am I?" Corvus growled, slamming his hand into the ground and causing spikes of dark energy to erupt from the ground and thunder towards Klee and her team, only to be stopped by a psychic barrier from Nick. This allowed Klee to fly up into the air and start searching for Kana.

"Yeah, you're a joke in a cloak," Nick taunted. "Does that nickname bring back memories, Corvus?"

"You'll learn to hold your tongue, boy, before I rip it clean out of your smartass mouth!" Corvus exclaimed, surrounding Nick with spikes of dark energy. Alex was over there in a flash to deploy an All-Weather Umbrella to deflect the spikes.

"Not today, buddy!" Alex shot back.

While Corvus was distracted attacking Nick, Amber threw two more Baron Bunnys towards him that exploded on contact and stunned him, allowing Sucrose to send him into the air with a Tornado in a Can of Hairspray. Mona flew upwards to send Corvus crashing back to the ground with a blast from her Ultra High Pressure Water Cannon.

High above the city, Klee extended her psychic radar out as far as she could, hoping to find Kana before anything happened to her.

Thankfully, it didn't take her long to find who she was looking for, and Klee took off past the Central City Radio Tower and into an abandoned warehouse just outside the tower area.

"Ah, an abandoned building," Klee chuckled as she psychically ripped the door off of its hinges so she could enter the warehouse. Only a short jog away was Kana, trapped inside a bubble of dark magic. "Good ol' rules for villains number twenty-two strikes yet again. You doing okay, Kana?"

"About as well as I could be, really," Kana quipped as Klee fired a Final Shine Attack to shatter the bubble surrounding Kana. "I just had no idea Corvus was gonna snatch me like he did."

"Trust me, he's gonna get it for that," Klee replied. "Now let's get back and join the others."

Kana jumped into Klee's arms so she could fly both of them out of the warehouse and back towards the scene of the battle.

"Actually, Klee, can we make a stop at headquarters?" Kana asked.

Klee just nodded, knowing what Kana was suggesting.

"All right, I've had enough of this," Corvus proclaimed as he glided backwards to avoid a pair of Incendiary Earrings thrown by Clover. "It's time to end this fracas once and for all."

"Oh, is that so? And what can you possibly do without your little cult?" Future Nick taunted.

Corvus just grinned evilly and raised his hands, his body beginning to glow with an oppressive dark sheen.

"Sadly, I can no longer access my full power without my cult, thanks to the likes of you," Corvus admitted. "But I have retained one gift, thanks to that little witch you destroyed."

A transparent image of a gigantic creature resembling a large, white mechanical angel with a Holy Grail-shaped body, a halo above its head, and a pair of large golden red wings sprouting from its back appeared behind Corvus.

"Wait, is that...?!" Sam shouted. Indeed, it was a transparent image of the Demiurge, the final form Corvus had taken in their last showdown by sacrificing members of his cult to absorb their power.

"Oh, who thinks this is going to end well?" Clover quipped, bracing herself for the worst.

"RAYS OF CONTROL!" Corvus shouted, thrusting his hands forward to unleash a storm of golden rays of light on the spies before either Nick could shield them, sending them all crashing to the ground.

After a couple seconds, Corvus laughed in triumph as Future Nick was forced to move closer to Corvus.

"Now tell me where your wife is," Corvus proclaimed.

"Go... to... hell," Future Nick sputtered, using his psychic abilities to resist as best he could. "You're getting... nothing from me."

"Oh, that's too bad, because if you don't tell me, I'll find her myself, and then what would happen to your incoming progeny?" Corvus taunted.

Before Future Nick could form any sort of retort, a large golden ring of light washed over the spies, dispelling the effect of the Rays of Control and allowing them to move under their own power again.

"Hey, I can move again," Melissa quipped.

"Me, too," Mat stated. "Who did..."

"Well, well, what do we have here?"

The spies all turned around to see Klee floating behind them, the seven Psy-Stones floating around her, and Kana standing on the ground right next to her.

As Sam and Mat both ran up to hug Kana, Klee couldn't help but grin.

("Throw Away Your Mask" by Lyn Inaizumi plays)

"Doesn't this bring back memories?" Klee giggled as the Psy-Stones began to spin around her body as she clenched her fists and prepared to absorb them and their power much like Nick tended to do.

Nick and Future Nick projected a psychic barrier to block Corvus from getting any closer as the Psy-Stones absorbed themselves into Klee's body and she threw her arms out, creating a massive explosion of light.

When the light cleared away, Klee was now surrounded by an utterly gigantic aura of pure aquatic-blue light, almost like a stage curtain of energy instead of the simple body-glow it normally was. Klee's hands were surrounded by spheres of blue light, and her eyes had changed from bright red to a deep aquatic blue. Klee had also fashioned two glowing blue angel wings made of psychic energy from her back.

"You should have stayed in your cell where you belong, Corvus," Klee proclaimed. "Because now you're really in trouble."

"Go stomp him one, Klee!" Amber shouted.

"That was always the plan," Klee quipped as she began advancing on Corvus.

Corvus began flinging multiple dark constructs at Klee, but they all bounced harmlessly off of her aura. Not one to be deterred, Corvus continued to fire every spell that he could, only for everything to be fruitless against Klee's super-powered self.

In one last-ditch effort, Corvus once again unleashed his Rays of Control, but Klee simply waved her hand and conjured an aquatic-blue barrier of light that stopped the attack cold.

"Okay, now this is just getting sad," Klee sighed, spreading her psychic wings wide. "I'm just gonna end this so you'll stop yapping."

"You don't scare me, little girl!" Corvus shouted as he charged towards Klee, but when he got close enough, she simply punched him in the stomach before channeling her boosted powers into her fist.

This caused bright blue light to shine from practically every part of Corvus' body for a couple seconds. When it cleared away and everyone could see again, Corvus had fallen to his knees, the dark glow surrounding his body having disappeared.

"What... what did you do, you brat?!" Corvus gasped.

"I thought it was obvious," Klee quipped. "I used the power of the Psy-Stones to take away your powers, just like papa did with Psykos."

"Wait, is that something you can only do with those gems, Nick?" Alex wondered.

"Yeah, I could only do it with the massive power boost the Psy-Stones give me," Nick answered.

"And look at that, Corvus, you lost again," Klee taunted. "I figured you'd learned your lesson from your last defeat, but I guess you're no better than the rest of our rogues' gallery, really. Now how about you stay in your containment cell this time? Just once?"

Not waiting for an answer, Klee raised her hand to encase Corvus in a psychic bubble, then flicked her hand upwards to send him off to containment. Once he was gone, Klee relaxed her stance and allowed the Psy-Stones to leave her body, returning her to normal.

"And that's the way the cookie crumbles," Klee quipped.

"Way to stick it to him, Klee!" Alex laughed as she and Nick moved to hug Klee.

"Thanks, mama," Klee giggled. "Now how about we check in with Sortiliena so we can wrap this whole shtick up?"

"Sounds like a plan to me," Nick responded. "And considering what Clover said was probably going to happen soon..."

Sam and Alex looked at each other with giddy smiles on their faces, just in time for Nick's X-Powder to beep and Future RiCO to pop up.

"You would be right, Nick," Future RiCO replied. "It was during your battle that Future Mat beeped me and said Sam and Alex started going back into labor about a half-hour ago."

"Are they..." Sam started before Future RiCO cut in.

"Sortiliena's sent out the W.O.O.H.P. jet to bring you," Future RiCO cut in.

"Maybe they did..." Future Bridget replied with an optimistic smile at Sam and Alex.

With that, they all boarded the jet and were taken back to W.O.O.H.P. to see if the inevitable DID happen... or not.

9:02 P.M. – W.O.O.H.P. Headquarters

Future Clover and Future Blaine were there in the waiting room.

"We got here as quick as we could!" Future Nick replied, all of a sudden showing real concern for Future Alex.

"Glad you did," Future Blaine stated. "Mat's already in there with Sam..."

"And Future me?" Alex wondered.

"We don't know," Future Clover replied. "After Future Mat went in, that was the last we heard..."

"Uh-oh," Mat commented. "This could go either way..."

That was when Future Mat came back into the waiting room with a relieved look on his face.

"Well?" Future Clover wondered.

"It's all over," Future Mat started. "My honey-buns gave birth, but she's a little exhausted; Future Alex... the same."

"Mom's okay though, right, dad?" Kana wondered.

"Yes, she's fine," Future Mat told Kana. "Outside of the exhaustion of course."

He then motioned to everybody to follow him.

"By the way, Alex fully understood why you couldn't be there, man," Future Mat told Future Nick.

"When you're dealing with nutballs like Corvus, you have to be extra cautious sometimes," Future Nick responded.

"I feel ya on that one," Nick quipped.

At then, Future Mat led everybody else to where Future Sam and Future Alex were. Naturally, Kana ran to hug her mother, who was holding her new baby.

"You're an older sister, sweetie," Future Sam told Kana.

"It turned out to be another girl," Future Mat told everyone. "I was hoping a boy, but I'm happy either way."

Mat and Sam were certainly beside themselves, too.

"Congrats, guys," Melissa replied, obviously overjoyed for them.

Both Nick and Future Nick got a good look at the little girl in Future Alex's arms, and they both knew.

Though she obviously didn't have pink hair, those eyes couldn't lie.

It was Anya.

Future May was the first to scoot over and hug Nick as he let a few tears fall.

"I knew it would happen eventually," Future Alex giggled.

"She did say she'd always be with me," Nick stated.

"Hate to interrupt," Future Sortiliena stated, walking into the room. "But the Time Twister's ready to take the spies back to their time."

Everybody gave their good-byes before they left through the Time Twister.

The Spies' Penthouse

Present Day

The ten spies were sent back to the penthouse; May, Haruka, and Bridget were there and they looked like they just showered.

"There you are!" Haruka gasped.

"Yeah, sorry, guys," Mat replied. "There wasn't any way to get in touch with you after we had to go to the future."

"No doubt," May stated. "I had to call Jerry to find out that you got sent there via the Time Twister."

"Well, to be fair, this isn't really déjà vu from before..." Melissa deduced logically.

"I know – Nick and I had to go to Jam by ourselves the last time," May groaned.

"And we had the water polo game, too," Bridget added, knowing they couldn't have been WOOHPed themselves.

When Bridget, Haruka, and May were told of everything that happened – including Future Sam and Future Alex giving birth to their second babies – they were taken aback and then some.

"Holy smokes, and we weren't there to see it..." Bridget groaned.

"Anyway, how'd the water polo game go?" Alex wondered.

"We must be the good luck charms," May giggled. "We won 9-1! The other team only scored in the second quarter."

"Bravo!" Clover quipped.

"Hey, hold on just a second here," Nozomi stated when she realized something they'd probably forgotten. "We know that James and Boogie Gus got yoinked back to our own time, but where, exactly..."

"No need to worry, everyone," RiCO proclaimed from Nick's X-Powder, as she showed them a video feed of James and Boogie Gus sulking in their containment cells. "Whatever mister cloak boy did, he sent them right back to their cells."

"...okay, good, that's a load off my toad," Melissa sighed in relief.

2:04 P.M. – The Spies' Penthouse

The Following Afternoon

After a night's sleep, nobody had classes the following day. It was after Nick woke up and had breakfast that he remembered about treating Alex, May, and Nozomi to dinner.

"Okay, here goes nothing," Nick stated to himself.

"What's up, buddy?" May quipped, startling Nick slightly as she walked by.

"You'd think me being a psychic would let me see that coming," Nick chuckled. "And... how did you know I wanted to ask you something?"

"You've just got that look on your face that says you have something on your mind," Alex answered. "So, go on, ask away!"

Deciding to finally banish this stuttering fool that was suddenly controlling him, Nick calmed himself down and looked at Alex, May, and Nozomi.

"Okay, here goes," Nick stated. "I wanted to invite all three of you to dinner tonight."

"There, now was that so hard?" Nozomi teased. "Serious talk, though, where did you have in mind?"

"I was thinking of Dreaming of Paris, since I know you and May haven't been there yet," Nick responded.

"Ooh, just wait 'til you two see it, that place is amazing," Alex giggled.

"I guess we'll have to take your word for it, huh?" May chuckled.

5:45 P.M. – Dreaming of Paris Restaurant

("Diamonds" by Rihanna plays)

Of course, May was absolutely awestruck by how gorgeous the restaurant when all four of them arrived at the restaurant.

"Holy crapbaskets, you weren't kidding!" May gasped.

"You said you've been here with Alex?" Nozomi asked.

"Once or twice," Nick replied. "Probably would have taken her more often if not for random capers, but I savor every chance I can actually do it."

Once the four spies had been seated at their reserved table, Alex couldn't help but chuckle at May's wide-eyed surprise at the menu items.

"Oh, trust me, that was totally me the first time Nick and I went," Alex giggled.

"How do you even read some of these names?!" May proclaimed. "I can only really speak English and Japanese, not this baffling bunch of accented letters!"

"French is a really tricky language," Alex laughed. "Believe me, I speak from experience."

"You'd think Clover would know some decent French, given how much she used to swoon over mister baguette guy," May responded.

"I wonder if Mali-U has a French class?" Nozomi wondered. "Maybe then you could learn how to speak it."

Nick helped May out with what she wanted to order, giving suggestions and seeing what she wanted to try.

"Hey, Nick? Thanks for taking us here," Nozomi proclaimed.

"Hey, it's no problem at all," Nick answered. "Just because Alex and I are engaged doesn't mean I love you two any less, after all."

Nick reached over to hold Alex's hand (the one with her engagement ring, obviously) as May leaned over the table to kiss him and Nozomi did the same from the other side.

"Trust us, Nick, we're never going to forget that," Nozomi stated proudly as their orders finally came to their table, allowing all four of them to start chowing down.

Totally Spies: Future Frenzy

~The End~

Final Author's Notes from Mat49324: Well, that's all for Future Frenzy. I have to admit I guess I did surprise The Blue Time Ranger with this synopsis I'd thought up, which led to this story. I just knew I had to pit James going after Sam again since those particular fics earned a lot of views – particularly Secrets Near & Dear, and Elements of Happiness. Anyway, we're moving on to our next project, which will involve the series' only alien villain, Sagan Hawking. What's going to happen there? Even I don't know! For now, here's The Blue Time Ranger for his final thoughts.

Final Author's Notes from The Blue Time Ranger: And that's all she wrote for this Marty McFly trip! I honestly wasn't expecting Mat to be the one to suggest another trip to the future, but like I mentioned, when he told me that James would be our big villain (even if Corvus kinda stole the spot in the end), I couldn't possibly refuse. Any excuse to beat down on James is a win in my book, after all.

And with that officially out of the way, let's talk about what's coming up next on Totally Spies: The New Adventures! Our resident alien-napper Sagan Hawking is back in town, and not only does she have some of the spies as hostages, she actually caught an alien, because Momo's in trouble, too! Extraterrestrial shenanigans and madness abound next time on Close Encounters of the Freaky Kind, which will be posted by me. So, until next time, have a fantastic day, don't listen to the screeching morons, enjoy this preview of Close Encounters of the Freaky Kind, and we'll see you next mission!

-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-

Momo hopped along the roofs of the buildings of downtown Beverly Hills, still glad she could jump around as well as she could before she'd fled her home planet. Finding herself on a different planet thankfully hadn't dulled her skills.

As she continued to hop across the rooftops, she thought back to her home planet, wondering if she was ever going to see it again.

Considering the way her father had been acting, she doubted she'd be going back any time soon. His misguided stubbornness was the whole reason she'd left in the first place, after all.

At least here, she had allies she could rely on if things ever got tough. Who would have thought the first Earthlings she'd run into would be welcoming of an off-worlder?

Then again, given what they had all been through in their lives, maybe aliens weren't such an off-the-wall concept anymore.

Momo continued to think of the rest of the family she'd left behind on her homeworld, her thoughts leaving her oblivious to the strange shadow that was approaching her.

When she did notice something off about the area, though, Momo skidded to a stop on one of the rooftops and extended her claws, ready to rip apart whatever was pursuing her.

Two small beacons flew to either side of her, and before Momo could make a move to slash them apart, they conducted electricity between them, shocking Momo into unconsciousness.

Someone stepped onto the roof and grinned at Momo's unconscious form.

"Ah, a splendid specimen."
