True Love

"Ron, you just don't get it!"

"But you haven't told me what I'm supposed to have done!"

"Aghh! This is exactly what I'm talking about – you just don't listen!"

Harry & Ginny watched in amusement as their two best friends argued about who knows what for the umpteenth time – it's amazing how many times two people can fight over the same topic (absolutely nothing).

"You know those two are so crazy about each other – it's almost sickening." Whispered Ginny

"I reckon, maybe we should do some thing about it – get us, & the rest of Hogwarts, some peace & quiet." Harry replied also in a whisper.

Harry & Ginny sat for a few moments not saying a word, just listening to Ron & Hermione screaming. Then suddenly a huge grin spread across Harry's face & Ginny knew that he'd come up with the idea they were looking for.

"Harry, don't you dare do anything – without telling me first." She laughed.

Harry leaned over & whispered into her ear, as he did so a grin, identical to Harry's, spread across her face. Then they both turned to the arguing pair, who were completely oblivious to their scheming friends, Harry held up three fingers & counted down silently.

"Love, true love!" they both exclaimed at the same moment, attracting the attention of not only Ron & Hermione, but also everyone in the common room. Many of the Gryffindors in the room immediately understood the situation at hand, but a few – especially the younger ones – looked totally bewildered.

"Harry/Ginny how could you, you promised not to tell!" both yelled at the same time.

"Wait a second," Ron said, turning to Hermione. "You like me?"

"You like me?"

"Please you two, get on with it!" exclaimed Harry.

Ron was speechless & for once Hermione was also unable to think of anything to say, then before anyone knew what was happening Ron took Hermione's cheeks in his hands & kissed her. The entire common room cheered.

'Yes" thought Harry, 'there finally together. Damn it I'm so happy I could kiss Ginny – hmm, not a bad idea.' Without a second thought Harry leaned over & planted a small kiss on Ginny's lips, he pulled away swiftly, but Ginny pulled him back. It took a few seconds for the common room to catch up with this new turn of events, but when they did the cheer was louder than it had ever been when they'd won the quidditch final or the house cup.

Why is it the couple in question are always the last to know?
