Race 13: Deadpool & the Toxic Fall
Stark Industries Headquarters, Los Angeles. Earth Dimension.
"Two races down, two more to go until its Finals time!" smiled Tony Stark, hanging out with Pepper Potts in his office as the two review footage of the Semi-Final races so far that starred Team Spiders and Team Heroes.
"Have to admit. Didn't think you could pull this off." Pepper said, standing beside him.
"Managing a multiversal tournament is no different from leading a multiversal army to save all reality." Tony quipped while relaxing on his chair.
"I can name a few differences. Like the Asgardians still haven't approved of your proposal." Pepper snarked about his secret plan to end this Grand Prix with a big bang.
"They will by the end of the Semi-Finals. Sure of it." Tony believed confidently, "Thor told me we need to leave quite an impression on his old man, and the last two races have stayed at the peak of awesome. We keep up the momentum and Odin will definitely want a piece of the action at his doorstep."
"And if he doesn't?" Pepper wondered if his boss has a backup plan.
"Then we'll host the Finals on the Moon. Course is set up." Tony answered casually.
"Oh my god…" Pepper chuckled, but is nonetheless looking forward to the remaining races that will no doubt end with cosmic ridiculousness beyond belief.

BGM-Sonic Free Riders OST- Get Ready for the Big Event
Forgotten Tomb Zone. A rocky canyon with ancient ruins. These mysterious ruins, set in the woods, are lined with traps to keep intruders from uncovering their secrets. Didn't prevent Stark Industries from converting this place into a makeshift racetrack for the third race in the Semi-Finals. Teams RWBY and Toxin are pumped to settle their rivalry for good. Team Future, consisting of Silver the Hedgehog, Blaze the Cat, and Espio the Chameleon, is calm while subtly excited to race for tomorrow. And both Cable and Domino of Team X-Force are eager out of impatience to get this tournament done and over and to never again hang out with their annoying immortal teammate, Deadpool.
"Annoying? Think you misspelled 'awesomely amazing'." quipped Deadpool, breaking the fourth wall as he loves to do, much to the forever confusion of friends and foes alike.
"Did you master the wind like I taught ya?" Sonic asked Ruby before the race begins in a moment.
"Not yet. But I'm getting super close. If it doesn't work out, we have other surprises." Ruby responded.
Smiling at the young huntress, Sonic nods, "Just feel the flow. You'll get the hang of it in no time." He shares a fist bump with Ruby telling her and her team, "Good luck! I'll be waitin' for you in the Finals!"
"Thanks!" Ruby smiled happily.
"I so cannot wait to shatter your ego when we win the championship." Weiss smugingly taunted the hedgehog.
"Looking forward seein' you try, Ice Queen." Sonic quipped while walking to sit alongside his own team as well as Team New Shepherds at the bleachers.
Team RWBY take their positions behind the starting line, located within an abandoned pyramid-like temple. As they do, the girls look to their left to find Team Toxin taking their own positions, with Cinder shooting at her rivals a cocky smirk that expresses, "Heh! Funny that you managed to make it this far with skills that pathetic."
Confidently, Ruby scoffs back, "We're not gonna lose today!"
"Those Remnant kids are going into this challenge think they'll win, but in truth, it could go either way. Nothing is final until it's Team X-Force going to the Finals!" Deadpool excitedly announced to his confused viewers, who thought he was just a racer.
"Hey!" Omochao suddenly appears swiping his microphone from the Merc with a Mouth, "I'm the fast-talking commentator here! I'll grant you that was a pretty cool impersonation, but stop butting in on my territory!"
"When else can I get to talk cool to the multiverse?" Deadpool quipped.
"WADE!" shouted Cable, angrily using his telekinesis to pull then slam his motormouth partner onto his hoverboard so they can begin the race.
"Maybe later…" Deadpool muttered in pain.
"That guy is weird…" Omochao commented on the annoying mutant, "Perhaps an exciting race through these ruins will straighten him out! Let's hope for the best!"

BGM-Sonic Free Riders OST-Theme of Forgotten Tomb
The timer is counting down to zero, and as it does a large Mayan-like statue up ahead crumbles from an earthquake caused by StarkTech to add a climactic flair to this race's beginning. Once the electric barrier was down, the riders were up to speed off under the remains of the ruined statue. This temple is massive enough to support their echoes and is clever with shortcuts, like a horizontal pole that both Yang and Mercury latch onto and spin around before jumping up to an upper path to clash.
"You better not go easy on me." Yang smiled while throwing a punch.
"You wish." Mercury laughed darkly, spinning a foot to meet her punch, creating a shockwave between the weapons that launches them back from each other. "Forget the Vytal Festival! Humiliating you in a multiversal race will be WAY too fun!" He grinned, eagerly to continue his racing brawl with the blonde huntress.
"It's no use, Duo 06! Racin' pass ya!" joked Deadpool, air sliding to get ahead of both Silver and Blaze.
"Duo 06? Why did he call us that?" Silver questioned, feeling adorably confused yet disturbingly nostalgic.
"Ignore him. He's insane." Blaze retorted stoically.
Outside, Ruby is alone riding beside the outer walls of the pyramid. She breathes deeply to relax herself, closing her eyes to help focus and hope to obtain the same marvelous speed boost that helped Spider-Man and Sonic win their respective races, 'Just feel the flow…Believe in myself to surpass my limits…Be free to be me in the wind…'
Ruby seems to be close in harnessing the wind, but unfortunately her concentration is interrupted by fireballs hitting her back. She glances behind in shock to spot, "Cinder! When did Cinder get here?" The smug Fire Maiden surpasses her speed. And not just her, but Espio as well speeding past the huntress, "That Espio guy! They're so fast!"
After a breathtaking trick jump off a ramp, Espio finds himself riding down the large pyramid to clash with Domino. "I'm going ahead!" Espio taunted her with a stern tone.
"In your dreams, Ninja-Nose! Luck's on my side!" Domino quipped before riding his slipstream. The ninja detective throw shuriken stars to get her off her back, forcing her to jump and fire a bullet that strikes a grenade she threw at exactly the right angle. All thanks to her mutant power of good luck, that trick maximized the damage that briefly threw Espio off his game and anger him into pursuing the laughing mutant that overtook his position.
The weather in this Zone is as cloudy as the rivers are murky, just as Emerald is as devious during her forest clash with Weiss. The jade thief rapidly fires shots from her dual revolvers to keep the heiress behind, long enough to race away from her counterattack with a cocky kick dash. Weiss is irritated, then immediately calms herself upon spotting both Silver and Cable nearing her. And as the trio nears a sharp turn, Weiss unveils a new technique in the form of using Gravity ISO-Dust in her rapier to negate gravity in the vicinity and cause various nearby objects and herself to be suspended in space, pulling herself in her chosen drifted direction at high speed for an instant using a quick shift in gravity that also knocked back her two pursuing rivals.
"She manipulated gravity like Grimadoom." Lucina commented on Weiss's clever new skill from the sidelines.
"Not to the same extent, but yeah. Must've picked up a few tricks from him." Knuckles noted.
"You're doing great, racers!" Owain cheered them on.
"Hang in there!" Tails cheered with an excited fist bump to the sky.
Quickly after, all the racers return to the temple's interiors to pass the starting line and enter the second lap. "Ah yeah, baby! Second lap time! The part of the chapter where things get interesting and spend less time describing the environment!" Deadpool broke the 4th wall again.
"Start shutting up, Wade! Ambush the opponents ahead with teleportation tactics! Go!" Cable commanded.
Deadpool salutes, "Yessiree, Cable sir!" By activating his handy dandy teleportation wrist device, the Mouthy Merc whisks himself around the racetrack to mess up his enemies' day with attacks and annoyance. "Burn, beautiful babe!" He joked while harming Yang with a bomb. "Porcupine looks like a Pothead! Promise we'll smoke in 200 years!" He joked while blinding Silver with Octo-Ink. "FALL TO MY BLADES! Get it? Because your last name is Fall? Is that your last name or were you drunk on egomania?" He joked even while clashing with Cinder and her symbiotic arm-blades.
"So annoying!" Cinder scowled, kicking him out of her sights just as she is reunited with Emerald to ask her, "Have this track memorized?"
"Yeah. Time to mess with their heads?" Emerald responded, regarding some secret plan that'll boost Team Toxin's chances of winning.
"Just the ones you can handle. Don't want you to collapse and slow us down." Cinder ordered stoically.
By harnessing the power of her Hallucinations Semblance, Emerald chooses Blaze to be her first victim. The Sol Princess drifts into a new path featuring pits, but because of Emerald messing with her head, she doesn't see any of them until it was too late, shouting a surprise, "WHOA!", while falling into a pit through a fake floor. "A booby trap…? No. Something felt odd about that." Blaze sensed someone was affecting her mind.
Ruby falls for a similar mind trap, accidently crashing into a wall where she thought was a clear road. Same thing with Domino, unknowingly triggering a booby trap that rains falling rocks she couldn't see or hear until she was buried beneath them. "Domino!" shouted Cable, liberating his teammate with his psychic powers, "Are you alright? How did you not notice that trap?"
"Think some asshole was messing with my head." Domino scowled.
"Think I know who. I can sense her power." Cable glares at Emerald up ahead, "I'll give her a taste of her own medicine." Suddenly his eyes glow with superiorly fearsome psychic power, as the Future Soldier telepathically projects the horrors of war into the thief's mind, hampering her motor control as a handy side effect.
"AAAAAAAH!" Emerald screamed with enough agony to paralyze her, causing her to trip and fall off her board.
"Emerald!" Cinder exclaimed in shock at her partner's defeat from the mind of the ultimate psychic.
"I got her!" Mercury shouted whilst grabbing his unconscious friend and her board at high speed, all while avoiding Domino's smirking bullet barrage, "You mutant freaks are annoying, you know that!"
"Haters keep reminding us!" Domino snarked.

Meanwhile at the forest area, Team Future have reunited for a combo attack on the pursuing Team RWBY. With Espio ahead providing a slipstream, both Silver and Blaze ride it while launching various attacks on the huntresses. "Take this!" Blaze exclaimed, unleashing a deadly flame tower that the girls narrowly evade.
"You're finished!" Silver shouted, hurling telekinetic debris that lands a hit that knocks back Weiss, only for the Semblance-wielding Ruby to hurry to her rescue.
"Thanks." Weiss said to her team leader, before they are forced to dodge more of Blaze's fire attacks.
"How's that? You can at most avoid it, but not get through it!" Blaze taunted them.
"At this rate, we'll cross the finish line first!" Silver smiled cockily.
BGM-Rockman. EXE Sound Navigation OST-Program Advance
But then Yang smirks, "I wonder about that. Gear Change: Bike!", before transforming her hoverboard into a hoverbike popping a wheelie to increase her speed and power.
"Gear Change: Rapid Dash!" Ruby exclaimed, activating the Gear Part that increases her speed when kick dashing.
"Gear Change: Ice Boost!" Weiss announced, activating a Part that surrounds herself with an icy aura that increases her top speed whilst putting the freeze on any opponent she hits.
A Triple Gear Change from Team RWBY. And by combining together their enhanced speed, the huntresses unleash a boost so powerful that they blitz past the mobian trio's teamwork, much to their surprise. "That can't be!" Espio exclaimed.
"Ruby, have you become one with the wind yet?" Yang asked her little sister.
"Not yet!" Ruby retorted, struggling to maintain her ultimate windy boost, "Just hard to clear my mind…!"
"Just use your Semblance and let the wind carry you! It should help!" Weiss advised.
"I'll give it a shot! Let's finish this! With our victory!" Ruby declared determinedly.
"YEAH!" Her teammates agreed.

BGM-RWBY OST-This Will Be the Day (Instrumental)
It wasn't long until the final lap commenced and the racers pushed themselves to the extreme in hopes of seizing victory. Cinder is in the lead, breaking through a barricade shortcut within the temple to better secure her position. Ruby takes a shortcut of her own, grinding on viny rails to quickly catch up with her maiden rival. "I challenge you in the next corner!" Ruby confronted her, slowly appearing by her interested side.
"Fine." Cinder accepted her challenge.
The Remnant Rivals near the next corner, where it is very difficult to drift unless you are a pro. "Not yet." Ruby muttered, preparing herself for that difficult drift.
"Not yet." Cinder muttered, also prepared for that sharp turn.
At the same time, both girls exclaim, "NOW!", and perform a seamless Air-consuming drift at high speeds to make that sharp turn that leads to them riding down the pyramid, unaware that Silver is tailing them.
"There's the gap. Here's my chance!" Silver grinned, enhancing his powerful boost with his psychokinesis to overtake the two girls.
"Silver!" Ruby reacted in surprise.
"Not bad!" Cinder complimented sternly.
Serious herself, Ruby scowls, "No more holding back!", before using the speedy power of her Petal Burst Semblance to aid her in becoming one with the wind, transforming into a horizontal tornado of rose petals that is flying down the road at inhuman speeds.
"I won't let you!" Cinder retorted furiously, manifesting her Toxin Symbiote to bond with it and transform into the Symbiote Maiden Toxin, unleashing a fiery burst of speed that turns herself into a destructive projectile that keeps up with Ruby's Extreme Speed.
"Deadpool, I know you have it! USE IT!" Cable fiercely orders his crazy teammate to unveil his secret weapon.
"HURRAY! My time to shine as the Dimension Star!" Deadpool quipped while revealing he was lucky enough to obtain the Dimension Star. The Merc harnesses its dimensional power, transforming himself into a deadly scarlet hurricane that moves and throws out shells, banana peels, bombs, Bullet Bills, just about everything but the kitchen sink to cause crazy chaos for all his enemies on the racetrack, "You didn't see anyone doing this in Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing! Or in Transformed!"
"Ruby, Cinder, Silver, and Deadpool have all launched their last spurt! Just which racer will lead their team to victory?!" Omochao commentated.
"I didn't notice Deadpool nabbing a Dimension Star. He's using it like crazy…which isn't surprising in the slightest." Sonic sweatdropped from the sidelines.
"You guys better NOT let that maniac beat you!" Severa cheered furiously at Team RWBY to win the race.
Back on the track at the forest, Ruby says, "I never thought…racing would be tougher than fighting…", while racing at her limit and alongside Cinder and Silver.
"It's making me thirsty." Cinder grunted.
"Here comes the last ramp." The leading Silver spotted the trick ramp that leads back into the temple, where the finish line is located, "I can do it!" But then out of nowhere, a Bullet Bill hits the psychic hedgehog and causes him to spin out of control and crash.
"Whoopsie! Sorry! Was aiming for the chicks!" Deadpool apologized to him after running out of Dimension Star power.
"Silver!" Espio shouted in concern for his friend.
"He's spun out! It's my chance! Into the gap!" Ruby proclaimed while speeding up.
"I won't let you! Into the gap of the gap!" Cinder retorted while speeding up herself.
Both girls jump off the ramp at once, performing one last awesome trick over the ruins before landing back inside the temple and clashing fiercely toward the finish line. "Give it your all, Ruby!" Yang cheered for her sister.
"Cinder, full throttle!" Emerald cheered for her leader.
Their leaders are grunting aggressively at the finish line. The end is in their sights. Just a few seconds away, yet both are neck and neck. That is until Weiss gives her friend a surprise wind boost from her rapier and at the last second, causing Cinder to shout, "NO!", as the power of teamwork helped Ruby win 1st place and herself come in 2nd.

"Which team won?" Domino asked as quickly as she and the remaining racers crossed the finish line.
A holographic screen is projected displaying the final results. In 4th place, it is Team Future. In 3rd place, it is Team X-Force. In 2nd place, it is Team Toxin. Meaning the team that won 1st place is none other than Team RWBY.
BGM-Sonic Riders OST-Race Finished
"Looks to me the congratulations goes to TEAM RWBY! They won themselves a date with Teams Spiders and Heroes in the Championship Finals!" Omochao excitedly announced to all, which causes many fans to cheer for the victorious huntresses.
"WE WON! WE WON!" Team RWBY hugged each other in overjoyous celebration.
"Knew they could pull it off!" Sonic snapped his fingers in happiness for his victorious friends.
"Should've seen this loss coming." Espio frowned stoically at his team's defeat.
"I did. I read the original story." Deadpool quipped.
"What story?" Espio dared to question the lunatic mutant.
"Transdimensional Racing. Fanfiction written by KingFrancisX. It sucked so he wrote this remake and included your team to give it more of an all-star feel. Or something like that." Deadpool answered casually, which simply sounds like utter nonsense to the chameleon.
"Why did I ask?" Espio sighed.
"Because you were curious." Deadpool snarked.
"This is some kind of mistake. How could I lose?" Cinder scowled angrily at her defeat by the skills of her childish rivals.
"Wow, three freak wins in a row…" The annoyed Mercury snarked at the girls.
"Are you guys really that blind to your faults?! Go home and work on your teamwork! THAT'S how we've been winning!" Yang mocked Team Toxin.
Cinder scoffs, "You'll regret lecturing us the next time we faceoff! I promise you revenge!"
"Can't wait!" Ruby quipped, "Until then, we have a championship to win! Sonic and Spider-Man, here we come! And Blake's team too when they win their race!"
"IF they win their race! Grimadoom's a part of it and they won't stand a chance at all!" Cinder mocked.
"Don't underestimate our friends! Grimadoom isn't all-powerful!" Ruby argued sternly.
"Compared to you weaklings, he might as well be. I don't care if he wins or loses, but I can count on him to give this Grand Prix a big bang that'll leave the multiverse quaking in its boots." proclaimed Cinder, ominously walking away with her team and leaving Team RWBY with the nasty thought of Team Supreme winning the race that'll cap off the Semi-Finals.

KFX Here: Still not a fan of Deadpool, but I know others are and he did help make this chapter unique. But anyway, three more chapters left. One more race to go in the Semi-Finals before the grand finale.
