The Shinra Electric Power Company, also known as Shinra Inc. Despite being a power company they had their fingers in many different pies. There would be some people that wonder what the electric power part was even about. They were more of a ruling party that had control over most of the world rather than a mere company instead.

It was what started as a normal day at Shinra Inc, it started to change when at a meeting. Discussions about something that had been brought up before but was brushed off.

"Are we talking about the theft of materia in and around the Western Continent?" the Shinra officer asked.

"They are no longer on that continent anymore as they have moved to this one. After doing so they have seemingly picked their pace when it has come to stealing materia from others" the agent informed them "Though we still don't know who they are exactly. We have learned that the thief is a female Wutai native"

"What would someone from that defeated nation want with materia. Most of them realized the mistake of not taking Shinra as nothing more than a mere company" the officer declared.

"Then would not be prudent to take care of this problem before it can have the chance to get any worse than," a voice said

It was a woman with a white scientist coat over a long sleeved red dress. One with sleeves so long they were covering her hands and she wore flat red shoes as well. Her long black hair meets at her forehead in a widow's peak. While no one could see her eyes because of the dark glasses she wore

"What would you know about this as we don't have the time to chase after one lone thief after all? Bigger problems are going on around here recently" the officer told them.

"You mean the rumors about the return of Avalanche," the woman said

"How did you know about that? As that unconfirmed information that has even been verified yet" the officer said.

"That is not what I am here for today as I have the plan to deal with both problems at once. So merely leave them both up to me to deal with as I have managed to perfect a materia that would be perfect for dealing with these problems as well as make so that they will be paying Shinra back for the trouble they have caused," the woman said.

"Who are you anyway to just bust into this meeting anyway," a second officer asked.

"I go by Falna Aremis," she told them "I used to be a professor that dealt with scientific research for Shinra but have switched to materia research and production"

"Why did you switch making your materia then," the first officer asked.

Falna did not respond to this.

Just had someone that she had brought with her give out the plan that she had for the materia thief.

According to the report that you have all been given the materia thief we are after is one Yuffie Kisaragi. The daughter of the leader of Wutai, Godo Kisaragi. Falna said "however you will see that in the report it states that this merely Yuffie acting on her own and that is not on the will of her father or even a mission given to her by him either"

"Wait in this report it says we are to let her steal more materia rather than stop her" the second officer exclaimed.

"Of course as the best way to have to make contact with my materia is for her to steal it along with others" Flana answered.

"What if she manages to get away with all the materia if you plan to fail," the first officer asked.

"My plan will not fail as her desire for materia will be her downfall," Falna told them

A few days later...

It took some time and planning but Falna had managed to lure Yuffie to the storage area of her lab. It was not located in the Shinra Main Office building but still within Sector 01 of Midgar. Leaving enough information about how to get to Falna's lab and even into the materia storage area for them as well. Though a thief being at the level they were would not fall for something this obvious normally. However, it was set in a manner where the advantages to the thief were in their favor and the information they need to gain was indeed earned by them.

"Stop you Materia thief. You will never get away with this" Falna yelled at her

When the Yuffie struck of course Falna plays her part and looks visibly angry over the fact that her materia was stolen.

"Looks like I already have though. Thanks for the materia" Yuffie said as she just kept on running away.

Yuffie was too busy trying to get away with her stash which might have seemed small since she only had one arm full of materia after all. Though each one was far more powerful than she ever has seen before though.

Grinning like similar to a cat as she made her way out of the lab that she had snuck into. Yuffie then left a sudden spasm in her right arm that causes her to drop all the materia she was carrying. It was then that she notice that there was a grey materia that was sinking into her hand.

"What the!?" Yuffie yelled "This is not supposed to happen. Why is it sticking to my hand"

The materia vanished fully into her arm freaking out the ninja as she then looked over herself to see where it could have gone to. Looking down she noticed that it had replaced her belly button and that from that point metal substance was spread and taking over her body.

Having never seen this type of materia before Yuffie starts to panic as the process though continues to spread across her body. Though shortly after it starts she collapses to the ground unable to stand anymore.

"No! No! No! This is not good" Yuffie said.

"Must Focus Must...Not...COMMENCING SHUT DOWN IN 3...2" Yuffie stated as the process converted most of her body and now the only parts left were her arms. legs, and the right side of her face.
