Chapter 36: The Grand Scheme of everything Part 1

Eddie's Mindscape

"Venom, you are taking this too far!" The voice of Eddie Brock sounded, "Why do we involve the innocent?! We never involve the innocent; we swore to protect them!"

The symbiote has grown weary of the constant nagging of Brock, especially when it comes to the innocent. This was its plan to get back at its former host Peter Parker. At first, it fooled around with the idea of infecting others after doing it twice with Kafka and Watson. It began to be more of a sound idea, so the Klyntar replied to its host, "Yes, we have sworn to protect the innocent from evil as well from the evil that is Spider-Man."

"Then why are we infecting them? There is no reason to infect them, we had Mary Jane, and with her on our side, we could have taken down the bug!"

Again, if Venom had eyes, he would be rolling them, "Don't chicken out on us now, Eddie; we both agreed that we would get revenge on that accursed bug. He ruined your life, and he rejected mine. This is the better way to go. Need we remind you, Brock, that you agreed to our plan?"

"Yeah, I was on board for a time, Venom. Yet that went south quick with his sidekick butting in, prompting us to seek out Ashley yet seeing how the innocent are being taken? This going too far! Mary Jane was supposed to be our meal ticket in getting back at the webhead. We agreed that a small army would be enough to take him out!"

"But the redhead isn't on our side, is she now?" Venom retorted. "Thanks to Kafka overestimating her chances and the interference of Silver Sable, that plan is null and void! Even with our new allies, they still have one up against us with the so-called Superman. We need him on our side if we are to win this war!"

Brock asked himself a hypothetical question mentally: How can you stop someone who moves faster than the eye could blink, shoot lasers from his eyes, or even punch you halfway across the city?

"Don't worry about this Superman character; he will fall as well as the bug. In time Brock, you will see the glorious splendor of TRUE SYMBIOSIS. Once New York is finished, then we move unto the rest of the world."

It was one thing to infect a few people to get back at his arch-nemesis; after some consultation with the other, he was convinced to grill the stupid bug. But to infect an entire city, let alone the world? That is something he hadn't anticipated would happen. Sure they found one of Connors's old labs in the sewer, thanks to Parker's memories. They have taken some plants from a local Walmart to experiment with the symbiote to spread the infection quicker, specifically, Venus's fly traps. It has shown great success in capturing people with the help of the Klyntar. Now with some of the LIFE foundation members trying to 'help out with the promise of being able to control their symbiotes, the plan works well a little too well.

There is no doubt in his mind that Sylvia Silver Sable will be looking for revenge after putting her through torture and forcing her to wear a symbiote. With the kidnapping of a foreign leader of Symkaria, Eddie knows it is only a matter of time before she comes looking for him. According to Phage, Superman burned the symbiote from Sable like butter. There was no way to infect her with a symbiote unless he did it to her again.

"Venom, you know this is wrong!"

"Morality, Eddie? I think we are past the point of principles concerning the distinction between right and wrong or good and bad behavior."

Eddie snarled at his partner,"I may hate Spider-Man for everything he has done to me, but that doesn't mean I am going to allow you…."

"And to that, we say, who cares?" Venom interrupted, "We are done listening to you, Eddie; we noticed your hesitation for quite a while when the conquest began. So, for now, Eddie, we'll be taking over this operation ourselves; just enjoy the ride."

Eddie is stunned, shocked that his symbiote would undermine his authority; they were partners! This act of betrayal is something Brock couldn't comprehend; after all, they both shared a common hatred for Peter Parker, their arch-nemesis. Parker destroyed his life; he rejected the symbiote, made him look like a fool in front of Jameson, and lost all creditability for journalism, thus labeling him a liar! On top of things, a piece of the other now is bonded to him, only getting stronger! Now the symbiote stuck by him is going on a warpath, not only consuming all the innocent he swore he would protect but promising a utopia as a hivemind.

The symbiote begins to stir, clutching his head. When Ashley's face comes into view, she is unmasked and concerned for her beloved, "Are you alright?"

"We are fine." Venom then begins to sit up and look at the destruction before him. Many bodies of the LIFE foundation littered the floor, but a few were controlled by the symbiote. "What happened here?"

"I tracked you down using the symbiote you gave me, Eddie. What happened to you?" Ashely asks in concern as she hugs him.

Venom doesn't respond to the hug, "We need plans to subdue Superman."

Ashley is hurt by this; Eddie has been very obsessed with this invasion of the symbiotes, and not once has he shown his face to her, not since she first saw that serial killer symbiote burned off by that blur. Sure, she wants to get back at Spider-Man for ruining her love life, but she would like quality time with her now-supposed boyfriend.

"When things settle down, She-Venom, and we crush our enemies, then we can focus on the future." He responds as if he can read her mind

She crosses her arms, "Pfft, that doesn't mean we can't start early, Eddie."

Venom wanted to gag and vomit; he didn't know how long he would keep up the façade of impersonating Brock. Yet the clueless Ashley would do anything for her beloved, so why not play the part? Venom looks unto Agony then too, um…who was that again? He looks at the redhead symbiote-controlled woman who is flexing her hands.

Rubbing his chin, Venom goes up to her placing a finger on her forehead underneath a triangle-shaped gem. He establishes a link between the two, and he reads her memories, though, through the bond, Klyntar can feel the blue-skinned woman struggling for control; he scoffs at this. Her name is Mystique, a mutant shapeshifter, "How interesting…so mutants do exist; they just been hiding underneath our noses."

Venom searches her memories; it is apparent that she works for another mutant name Magneto the supposed master of magnetism who controls the Brotherhood of Mutants. He continues to pry and stumbles upon another group of mutants called the X-Men from her memories. The symbiote pauses for a moment. This could work in his favor if he can find this Magneto and the so-called X-Men.

And what's this? He pries into her memories of a man wearing a red helmet facing off against the X-Men, known to be the unstoppable being. A being called the Juggernaut. "Well, well, where are you hiding, our friend?" Venom continues to search the blue mutants learning the location of this being. "Ah!"

"What?" Questions Ashley as she looks over to the shapeshifter, "What are you doing?"

"We are going to Rykers."

"Why? What's at Rykers?" Anxiety asks, crossing her arms

"Apparently, a super mutant is being held there in maximum security. He is located underneath the facility." Venom smiles with a look of a predator, "We are going to even the playing field."

The Lizard Lair-Venom's Hideout

Somewhere within the sewers of New York, Venom and his group have taken over the laboratory of Doctor Connors, turning into a symbiotefied lair with goo all over the place moving to signal that it is alive. Three former LIFE foundation mercenaries gathered around their poker table playing Go Fish. Sure, they could be out in the city trying to get more people infected, but they also could use some rest and relaxation from time to time.

"Carl, do you have any threes?" Ask the maskless Trevor Cole, a former Life Foundation security force officer.

"Go fish, Cole." The man, now known as Carl, replies.

This irritates Trevor profusely, "You know you have threes! Give me your threes; you are lying, cheat!"

"Cheat! HA! You barely have a poker face. Your calls are so predictable…." The man says with a roll of his eyes, "You start getting giddy when it's your turn."

Trevor growls and is about to retort when another man interrupts them, "Knock it off, will ya? Let's not fight amongst ourselves and save our strength and powers for those who deserve it."

"Yeah. Speaking of deserving, do you think Brock is going to us to control our symbiotes?" Ask Trevor, "He did promise, and in return, we agreed to help him off Spider-Man."

"Tch…" Carl scoffs, "Please, Spider-Man is the least of our worries. We already lost Anxiety to Superman by him staring at her and melting her away with laser vision. I don't know, but something about that man scares me."

"Please, I think you're still exaggerating a bit here, don't you think, Carl? I mean, Eddie said the same thing about the red symbiote. No one is that powerful."

Since the orange symbiote man returned with the news that they lost Silvia Sable, Venom has been alarmed but has kept silent. Nobody knew what was going on in his head at that time. He only said he would investigate the matter and judge for himself to see; after all, the man saw the blur from afar burning away the red symbiote from an unknown person who killed people they didn't know was Cletus Kasady at the time. Some feats made Trevor and Carl doubt if it was possible, but they were cautious.

That was the case for Carl until he experienced a bit of his might when he rescued that white-haired woman and defeated a large horde of infected civilians. Yet, what unnerved him was the gaze he got when the man saw his companion in pain, helpless in their clutches. His features changed as a shadow cast over his face and red eyes gleamed at them with teeth bared as Superman commanded them to let the woman go.

Mind you, he burned off a symbiote from another man before his confrontation with a wave of intense anger to show that he is not someone to be trifled with. The words echo in his mind as he remembers the intensity of how he worded it; "I'm going to say this only once: Let…her…go!"His voice is deep, low, and dare, he adds angrily.

Phage shuddered; this didn't go unnoticed by the other two. "What's got you spooked?"

"Don't tell me you still thinking about that encounter?"

"If you would have faced him, Ramón, you wouldn't be speaking otherwise. You two-faced two normal beings in which one of them has a symbiote. From whom? Is anyone's guess, but this Superman does put fear in me, and to be honest, I rather not face him again, even though I vowed the fight has only begun." Carl says, looking at his cards, "Leslie, as well as Ashley, didn't have any luck facing another fire-powered being or the Silk spider girl. Overall, if we are going to have this plan work, then we will need to do something drastic, which leaves us with two options…." He pauses, looking at his fellow mercenaries, "Number 1: We kill them, or number 2: we force them to join us…."

Suddenly another voice, "Well, I do hope we can enjoy the first option, don't you think, brothers?"

Alarmed, the three men get into fighting position masked up as they see a man with red hair and two women. One with blonde features wearing a maid outfit while the other woman with black hair, white skin, and a skintight leather outfit barely left anything to the imagination with a black diamond on her left eye.

"Who the hell are you?!" Demanded Trevor as he stared at the man coming closer to them, "And how did you find us?!"

The red-haired man cackled, "It was quite easy. I absorbed enough symbiotes from the good people of New York City to make myself stronger. Thanks to this, I could sense where my siblings are; after all, don't we all have a common parent figure?"

The three men look at one another, "What kind of insane talk is this?" Ramon says, unleashing his tendrils from the back, "Whoever you are, you are not welcomed here!"

The man lunges for the red-haired man; he smirks as he grapples with the green symbiote transforming himself into his alter ego. This surprises Lasher as he is quickly tossed back to Phage and Riot. The Dark Blue symbiote growls as he gets up from the ground, quickly closing the gap between him and this mysterious red symbiote man.

"Wait a minute!" He pauses as he realizes this is the same symbiote Eddie was talking about, "You wouldn't happen to be the red symbiote, would you?"

"Ah, I see that my reputation proceeds me." The red symbiote man grins manically, "The names Carnage brother, my host Cletus Kasady. I am spawned from the same symbiote that you came from…."

"You are the symbiote that was defeated by Superman."

Carnages snarls, baring his teeth, "Yes… I'm looking for payback…." He clears his throat, "Behind me is my servant, the good Doctor Jennifer Pournelle, and my girlfriend Shriek; just don't touch my maid or my girl, and we'll get along just fine."

The three men glanced back at one another, shrugging, then Phage spoke, "Hmph, I am Phage host Carl Mach…."

"Riot is the name while my host Trevor Cole…."

"Lasher host Ramón Hernández, we have another; her name is Agony. Her host is Leslie Gesneria, but she is with Venom and She-Venom, as well as Mystique now. We are mercenaries or ex-mercenaries from the LIFE foundation."

"Interesting, very interesting…." Carnage laughs, "So you guys are behind the symbiote invasion takeover of New York?"

"It was Venom's idea to do so to get rid of Spider-Man."

Shriek rolled her eyes, "Please, ridding Spider-Man wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't for his allies. Believe me, we tried, but Carny here wanted to say something else."

"Oh, we know about his allies which is why we are. I wanted to join in on the fun and enjoy the chaos that looms outside."

The three looks at each other before looking at their 'brother' symbiote, "Tell us, Kasady, why should we or, as matter-of-fact, Venom allow you to join us?"

"Come on, fellas, don't be like that." He says, getting chummy with Riot, placing an arm around him and Lasher. They both stare at Cletus's arms as an offensive limb, saying, "I can play ball and help you guys with this invasion. I can even get Spider-Man if you like. After all, I made him lose his cool once, and I'm willing to do it again."

Removing his arms, both Lasher and Riot move over to Phage and then to a secluded part of the lab to discuss Carnage joining, said man watches them as they converse in hush tones. Shriek comes over, wrapping her arms around Cletus briefly.

"What are they discussing?"

"Meh, who cares. As long we can join and have our fun, then let them talk it out."

The conversation is brief, or at least they try to make it quick, as they steal some glances at their guest. They are very uneasy with Carnage; something about him makes their skin crawl, and they don't know if he is one of the infected civilians. Venom had told them that the red symbiote was destroyed by Superman, but it looks like this isn't the case. Which led to how did it survive its encounter?

"Well, what do you think?" Lasher asks, folding his arms, "This could be our chance to recruit another person like us. After all, we cannot recruit Scream or Anxiety back."

"We don't even know if he likes us or is just a civilian!" Riot comments

"You can't be stupid, Riot! This guy is Cletus Kasady. Didn't you hear the news this man is a wanted psychopath?"

"Are we really going to allow a murderer to join us? We don't know anything about this guy!"

"Hey, to be fair, we are thugs for hire with a code of ethics…." Phage points out, "We just go to the highest bidder."

"Yeah, but there is no telling with a psychopath! Besides, something about that guy creeps me out…." Riot looks back to Carnage, who smiles and waves at them. He stares at Shriek; the woman has the doctor in a hug from behind, her arms draped around her. The blonde looks uncomfortable and sad, almost to the verge of tears. Shriek catches Riot staring at her, then smile cruelly as she gropes the doctor, "Ergh…see what I mean…."

Phage rubs his chin, "We wait for Venom and see what he says. For now, keep them on watch."

Breaking their small huddle, Phage clears his throat, "We cannot decide what to do, so for now, make yourself at home for the time being while Venom comes back to decide your fate."

"Sure, then we can have one big happy family reunion." Cletus smirks, "I might as well make myself at home for the time being."

The three watch as he leaves to separate part of the lair. They didn't know if allowing Cletus here was a good thing or a bad thing, and hopefully, they would get this resolved. However, what is taking Venom, She-Venom, Agony, and that new symbiote-controlled mutant freak so long to return? It was supposed to be a quick recovery mission, what was taking so long?

Meanwhile S.H.I.E.L.D Helicarrier

Nick Fury's lone eye scans the document that Black Widow has sent over regarding their interdimensional guest. Apparently, he has been throwing Ms. Marvel and Natasha around like rag dolls, only calmed down by the smooch of Xavier's weather manipulator. He shook his head; a kiss from a woman calmed him down…unbelievable…Fury was right to be cautious; he didn't know the extent of this man's powers, nor was he going to underestimate him, which was his first mistake.

This a mistake that he was not going to make again. If Carol's reports were accurate, he had to make a few calls to get the right person for the job. Fight fire with fire if you want to tame someone who says you cannot control them. Although the issue with Ultron Fury was confident that the Avengers would be able to take on the self-aware rogue program, something else was nagging him as well, that supercomputer had disappeared after its message. This came after the attack on the headquarters in Stark Tower. The Avengers had their brief R&R, even with the symbiote invasion.

Even his best technicians are at a loss as to where this AI program went; Fury frowns. Right now, he had other big fishes to fry, and one was red and blue, as well as an alien invasion. Ultron will have to wait. Carol also filed a report saying that Corey made a contingency plan to defeat her by using a strand of her hair. His tech was highly advanced enough to figure out a potent to neutralize her, which alarmed the former WWII veteran. She also reported that Spider-Man made a deal with King Pin and was doing some type of errand for him.

Fury sighed, wondering what was going through the head of Richards's kid. He made a few phone calls to inquire about a forgotten hero who was gold and blue named the Golden Guardian back in the 80's to the early 2000s; he retired after destroying a dark entity to live peacefully with his wife.

"I heard you were looking for me…." A voice sounded behind him

Nick turned to find a man staring at him, dressed in jeans, a red short-sleeve shirt, and blue sneakers. He is a tall man similar in height to their interdimensional guest. Well-toned and muscular with an excellent build to him. Fury greets him, "Robert, it's good to see you again."

Robert Reynolds, a former meth addict, once broke into the laboratory of an unnamed professor. It was there that he discovered the Golden Sentry Serum. Consuming the compound, Robert Reynolds gained the power of a 'million exploding suns.' The professor made him more of a mixture per his request.

The unnamed professor, appalled at what their irresponsibility had wrought, called Project Sentry into effect as he persuaded Reynolds to let them test his powers at their facility. Still, they could not contain him for long nor curb his desire to use his powers for the greater good. After trouncing the school bully who had tormented him, Reynolds sewed together a costume and made his debut as the heroic Golden Guardian before dubbing himself The Sentry.

The man, now identified as Robert, crosses his arms as he looks sternly at the Director of SHIELD, "Can't same Colonel Fury, cannot say the same. What in the blazes do you need me for? After all, don't you have the famous Avengers? It must be urgent if you need my help after all these years."

"Over 20 years of silence, you haven't aged a bit." Fury steps up to the man shaking his hand, "Unfortunately, your right. This isn't a social call. The Avengers have their hands full with an AI sentient being called Ultron. I'm sure you are aware of the threat that he poses."

"Two months to live? But for a being like myself, good luck with that." Robert says, rolling his eyes, "If that robot decided to go anywhere near Lindy, it wouldn't end pretty for it."

Fury nods, "I know you said you wouldn't pick up the mantle again for fear of bringing back The Void, but I need your help."

The man frowns deeply, "Don't mention that name…." Then he looks at Fury with keen interest, "Though I'm listening."

"There is a new kid on the block, an interdimensional being with powers like yours. SHIELD has recorded some of his feats to make you aware he is throwing around my agents like ragdolls, and not even Ms. Marvel is a match for him, that is if she doesn't absorb some energy to reach levels that are beyond her temporary." Robert hums, rubbing his chin. Fury adds, "I also called you out of retirement to help with this symbiote invasion as a backup plan in case anything else should fail. Black Widow and Ms. Marvel have informed me that there is an uncanny way to deal with this, but for now, I want you to observe this man. If he steps out of line, intervene."

Fury then gives him the briefing and picture to go along with it. While that goes on, Robert looks at the photo of Superman. He can tell he is well built and happens to be young mid to late 20s, to be exact. Before anything, he wants to see what kind of being this is that can cause the Director of SHIELD to be spooked, "You said you have video footage? I want to look at it, so I may know what I'm dealing with here."

"I'll have one of my agents escort you to one of the rooms; use it as you see fit." With that, Robert leaves Fury to his thoughts as he informs one of the agents. Now out earshot folds his arms behind his back, "Alright, Corey, game on. Let's see how you will weasel out of this one."

Greeley Square Park

Spider-Man and Spider-Cat are appalled when they first encounter the scenario. As they arrive at the small park, they see four massive symbiote towers that looked infected lampposts coming alive with electricity bouncing between them. About 10 stories tall, it is a sight to behold, yet the pods concerned them as one of the slashers walked towards it and became an electroling. They knew they had to work fast, but another obstacle presented itself where Electro's hidden location?

With the main culprit missing, the two arachnid heroes knew he needed to be flushed out from where he was hiding, wherever that may be. Spider-Man split the task between the two; while he went after the plant's pods, Spider-Cat went after the electrolings. Future Felicity nods as she charges at them, they were annoying little buggers, but they got the job done.

Spider-Cat slams down on an electroling using a tendril before she unleashes a web line to zip towards another one and jump kicks it into the air before grabbing the ankle and twirling the symbiote-controlled person to the ground. Her father is taking care of the pods, but she can see that he is about to be swamped with electrolings. Thinking quickly, she spins another web ziplining to his position before split-kicking two electroling away from her father.

"These pods are more trouble than they are worth!" Spider-Man says as he rips the pod in half absorbing its content. "What the?" Spider-Man paused to pick up the left behind plant substance, "Curious, and curious…a Venus Fly Trap!"

An electroling tries to slam its fist into Spider-Man's back, but the web-slinger symbiote reacts by grabbing onto the other and slamming it away. Symbian voice rang in his head, 'Beware of your surroundings, Parker! You were ignoring your duality sense!'

Pocketing the plant in his suit, Spidey gets up and sees his future older daughter handling a swarm of electrolings by rodeoing them around. She throws one into another group, but they are not to be deterred. He snares an electroling before it can jump his daughter and chokes the symbiote before absorbing it into his suit. The freedman is let go as he runs away for dear life.

Spidey wonders where Electro is, but more importantly, how in the world did symbiote change the appearance of the regular lamppost to symbiote lamppost even if it wasn't a thing to be called. Symbian had to sigh, 'You really are slow when I tell you that Venom has powers that would make you pee your pants.'

Spidey looks at the structure, briefly dodging an electric current, "If this is supposed to be scary and 'make me pee myself,' then I'm sorry to say that this utterly failed at doing that."

'This is only a sample of the other's power. This isn't close to what Venom can do. Tendril attacks, the ability to self-replicate is only the tip of the iceberg.'

"The day he shows other signs of potential is when I stop being Spider-Man; still, I will be on guard. Venom has been able to surprise me in the past, so I wouldn't put it past him if he is holding back." Spidey finds another plant pod and begins to absorb it.

'You don't even know half your potential, and you're only beginning to understand it. Plus, with this new nanotech upgrade, you can be more amazing than ever. This I will promise to make you a better version of yourself.' The symbiote vowed this; after all, Peter's desire was to be the best that he could be so no person would have to suffer the same way he did with losing someone close.

Before Peter could respond, the symbiotes stopped attacking, and soon the ground began to shake. As this happened, the electric current from the vast pods began to pulse rapidly. His spider senses ran, and his attention towards the center of the symbiote platform. Spider-Cat witnessed these creatures gather around towards the center platform and began to bow down or do some type of worship towards it.

Felicity witnessed this on two occasions; this meant that the group leader was coming. It was the same thing that made her shudder when these creatures would stop attacking, and her father would make an appearance as they bowed to him. She learned over time that these creatures were connected to one another like a hivemind, and she prayed that she would not be part of this hivemind.

"RAARGHH!" An electrical current is unleashed, shorting out anything electronic; Electro has appeared.

"So Sparky was hiding from us this entire time?" Spidey meets up with his future daughter, "Alright, continue with the pounding of Electrolings. I'm going to deal with our little firefly soon enough."

Spider-Cat stops her father, "Dad, please let me handle Electro."

Spidey shakes his head, "No, I don't know if you're ready for this, neither do I know if you did face any of my rogues in the future."

"I faced plenty of simulations…."

"Simulations are one thing Spider-Cat; this is the real deal." Spidey interrupted her, "I will not see you get hurt, not on my watch." Spider-Man is not about to have no daughter of his face, his foe, especially since Electro has the symbiote on him. He can never forgive himself if Felicity gets hurt. It was bad enough that her younger self was with the symbiote.

"Dad, don't underestimate me; you don't know what I'm capable of." The future variant says crossing her arms

"Maybe, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to protect you. Besides, Electro is mine; I got a score to settle with our lightning bug, given what happened the last he broke out of prison." He punches a fist in his open palm.

Cat gave an annoyed tsk; she was told by her aunt Teresa that her brother is overprotective of anyone close to him, especially his family. She only met him for less than a week, and the sandy blonde hair time traveler is starting to like his father's protectiveness, unlike a specific figure she knows in her future.

Spider-Sense tingle and they soon dodge a lightning bolt coming their way. "Well, well, well, what tangled web we weave. Like the look wall-crawler?"

"Yeah, sure. That is if you like people staring at your ugly mug Sparky, what big teeth you have."

"Joke all you want, Spider-Man. I have the power I didn't dream of having, though it doesn't compare to the Nexus device. This will be enough to finally shut you up!" Electricity cackles around Electro's wrist as he demonstrates his power to create an arch above his head. Symbiote Electro fires a bolt at the wall-crawler, and soon Spider-Cat latches onto the former electrician with a tendril. But the moment it locks on, Electro sends a current toward Felicity which causes her to shriek from the sudden jolt forcing her to let go and push her back. Spider-Man follows up with him, straddling Electro and pinning him with one of his knees before unleashing a beatdown on his face.

Soon the downed symbiote-controlled man unleashes a pulse which sends Spider-Man flying back. At the same time, Spider-Cat stands up from being knocked down and fights off two electrolings dodging some currents as she does this. She unleashes a tendril whip catching one of the electrolings by the neck before absorbing it into her suit.

Spider-Cat lets go of the unconscious man before she attacks the other one. The electroling snarls at the Cat spider-themed vigilante before it swipes at her. She dodges the attack before doing a one-two hit combo staggering the creature. She pounces on the shoulder of the symbiote creature before tossing it to the ground. She does two web lines before slamming her foot on the beast's abdomen before it loses consciousness. As she did with the first electroling, she absorbs the symbiote into her own symbiote, feeling herself get more robust and her suit.

Her spider senses tingle, and she dodges a bolt heading in her direction; the time traveler notes that her father is locked in combat with Electro. She watches as he dances and weaves with great precision the bolts of electricity that were trying to kill him. Whenever he dodges lightning attacks, Electro changes to electricity and tries to outmaneuver Spider-Man. She frowns; perhaps her father was right about some of his rogues. After all, the young woman only spent a few hours occasionally dealing with a simulation of her father's rouge but never really had the experience of dealing with most of them.

Spider-Man punches Electro back to his stand, and he is in a daze, but soon the electrolings begin to do something strange. Outstretching their arms from the lamppost they are on, they feed Electro the energy he needs; soon, the former electrician floats into the air, "Power! More, MORE!"

"Oh great…" Spider-Man mutters under his breath, "More what? More words, yeah, that makes sense."

"POWER! I NEED MORE POWER!"

Spidey could see that dome was surrounding his foe, and he knew that he was limited time before Sparky would unleash it. Spider-Cat lands next to her father, "What's happening?"

"As you can see, our battery sucker here is gathering energy from the electrolings; take them out, and he loses his way to charge up."

Spider-Cat nods and is about to attack when suddenly, a blur knocks them out. When the blur stops, it is revealed to be Super Storm, "Hey, can I help?"

"What are you doing here?!" Spider-Cat hissed

"I got bored, and I wanted to do something." The grey-haired teen says; she looks towards Electro, who glares at her, "Oh, I can help; let me help!"

"Thanks, but no thanks, Super Storm. I have the situation under control." Spider-Man says as he is about to charge at Electro. Unfortunately, someone has to step in and zap Electro with an electrical current, thus making the villain stronger.

"MORE! MORE! I NEED MORE!"

"Super Storm, stop!" Spider-Cat quickly moves the girl's hands, thus forcing her to cancel the attack, "Great, you just made the villain a lot more powerful! Mini Storm, don't you think before you leap!"

"I just want to help!" The girl cried out, "Papa never lets me do anything! You don't let me do anything; when will I get to do something?!"

Spider-Man pinches the bridge of his nose; he doesn't want to waste more time. He walks up to the younger girl placing his hands on Savanah's shoulders, "Look, I can understand your frustration of being sideline, but something tells me that you are new to the superhero business. Stay with Spider-Cat and help me clear out the symbiotes. Can you at least do that?"

Savannah looks away, angered, but he does have a point. Indeed, she hasn't complete control of her abilities yet, and she is still in training. Her father made sure that she trained to handle her Kryptonian superpowers, she knew enough to know when to unleash her full strength or when not to, but always when they tried to teach her powers, an interruption happened. Unlike her older brother, he had more experience as he spent more time with their parents before their mother passed. She only had the basics, not total control of her weather powers.

She crosses her arms, glaring at the wall-crawler; her eyes flash red, and Spider-Man's spider senses tingle, but Cat motions to her shaking her head from side to side. Her eyes went back emerald before she kicked Spidey in the shin harder than usual.

"OW! Geez, what the heck was that for, kid?" He rubs his shin hopping on one foot angrily, staring at the pseudo-grey-haired pre-teenager.

The young girl huffed, but she flinched when Spider-Cat glared at her, "Was that necessary?" Felicity is annoyed with her younger friend; however, she responds not to her.

"Heh, heh, how amusing a little squabble between allies? Tell me, wall-crawler, how does it feel to be the most hated superhero to exist in New York?"

After setting his foot down, he got into a fighting stance, feet shoulder-width apart with his arms in the chamber, fist clenched, "How about I feed you your teeth instead? Then we'll see if your pain will match the mood; I am with all the Big Apple turning their backs on me."

Spidey takes off faster than the eye can blink, Electro sends out a stronger current, but our hero twists his body, avoiding the lightning blast, and proceeds to web zip to his foe. He punches the ground, causing a shockwave to the earth and knocking Electro off his platform. The man growls; he turns his body into electricity and sends out another voltage to fry his nemesis.

The young arachnid cat-themed time traveler focuses on the electrolings hanging around the lamppost. No doubt in her mind that they will be a nuisance later, Cat turns to her friend, "Clear out any pods you see with heat vision, be aware of your surroundings, and try not to get infected."

"As if they can touch me." The young time traveler boasted

"Tch, yeah, that's what your father said until he got captured. We had to free him." That took her down a peg as she flinched, "Enough with your childish antics Savannah! We are here to stop this invasion and change the future! Don't forget that!" Felicity points her finger at her and says, "Help me with the pods; burn them to a crisp to take out these towers. Do you think you can do that? I don't want Electro to gain more advantages over us."

She nods her head and super speeds away to get the task done. With that out of the way, Felicity turns her attention to the Electrolings; she spins a web toward one of them, flies into it, and bounces off one to the next. She kept repeating the cycle until she landed on one and absorbed the symbiote of the civilian as she did this, Super Storm incinerated the symbiote towers that were up. There were a lot of them, but hopefully, they were making a difference in the timestream; who knows what will happen. Speaking of, would they fade away if they succeeded? She hoped it would not be a multiverse timeline where the timeline is alternated due to this interference, but would her time remain the same?

Those were questions that she didn't know why were coming up. Her uncle knew that sending someone past would be tricky; he mentioned that his mentor at one point created a timeline called Flashpoint, an alternate reality where a series of events didn't take place. However, that event cannot be made as she was told since the day he arrived, his connection to the speed force was severed that ruled out the possibility of a Flashpoint, but for his namesake, wouldn't it be a Super-point?

Felicity paused a moment after she handled another electroling; why were these thoughts coming now? She groaned; perhaps the sandy blonde-haired woman thought it was due to the pressure she was under. 'I mean, it's not like if we fail, then things go south anyway. Yet the changes have been slow….' The ground shook as it meant Super Storm was doing her job as the older time traveler turned her attention to the girl uprooting one of the towers.

"NO!"

"Not so fast, Sparky!" Once again, Spider-Man shoots a web at his enemy, but Electro is not falling for the same trick twice and shoots an electrical current at the hero. With spider-sense blaring, he dodges the attack, but he will not be deterred. Spidey unleashes his repulsor blasters, knocking Electro back before speeding up to give him another beat down.

Electro unleashes a force field of electric energy, pushing back Spider-Man. Peter growls in annoyance, his nanotech down for the moment; he doesn't say anything but zooms to Electro with great speed. One lightning bolt after another, despite Electro's best efforts, Spider-Man is always one step ahead of him.

"RAAGH! Hold still!"

Spider-Man blasts another repulsor beam toward his foe, knocking him before descending upon him with a mighty punch to the face.

At the same time, Super Storm is not impressed by these symbiotes, as she burns down another one with her heat vision. They were annoying; even though civilians were behind their alien suits, it still stunk that they couldn't be more productive in society, but given who was behind the invasion, she hated them. Her anger became evident as she thunderclaps them away, thus effectively removing the suits from the host.

The young girl looks at the tower before her and uses her heat vision to burn the offending object down. She would grit her teeth if it wasn't this stupid invasion created by Venom; she would still have her mother with her to this day. The tower reacted to the intense heat as it began to melt, the Electroling screeching in a fury, blasting the invulnerable girl with their electric blast. She is unfazed by the attacks as she burns the goo; the tower begins to wane and sway like a drunkard.

Super Storm cuts the power and watches the tower collapse forward, but before it touches the buildings, she quickly catches it with minimal effort. She looks towards the sun, and an idea forms in her head as she smiles. The source of her powers is nothing more than a flaming hot fire gas. Chuckling, she hurls the tower out of the earth's atmosphere with great effort.

Electro stood utterly shocked by the feat of strength this little girl demonstrated. Feeling his eyes on her, she flicks her hair placing one hand on her hip and looking smug at the man. It was enough of a distraction that allowed Spider-Man to get the drop on him, "ELECTRO!" Punch! "You!" Punch! "Unbelievable loser!" Punch! "Fight this thing!" Struggling with all his might, Electro tries to get his bearing with some heavy enforcement from Spider-Man, "Reject it!" Spider-Man continues to wail at him, "Tell it to let you go!"

After some hard knocks into the electrician's skull, the symbiote could no longer be attached to its host. The symbiote slithers only a few feet away, ready to pounce at any moment. Groaning, Electro groggily gets up. "W-what happened?" He looks over to where the black slime is, "What is that thing?!"

Spider-Man looks towards the symbiote slime, then points at it, saying, "That thing? That thing almost took your sister."

Max paused just a moment, then looked at his foe; a fury began to bubble within him, "What was that?" He looks over to the symbiote gurgling and rising to match his height, "You…took…my SISTER!" With a yell, he blasts the symbiote causing him to scream in anguish at being electrocuted, "DIE, YOU FREAK!"

The two of them walked over to the small campfire, "I need some payback for that!" The former electrician growled, "Tell when and tell where I'll fry them. I'LL FRY THEM ALL!"

"Cool your jets, Sparky. You'll get your chance soon."

"You can't be serious!" Spider-Cat lands in front of Spider-Man, "Are you seriously considering joining forces with Electro? Have you lost your marbles?!"

Another tower collapsed as the trio heard a small tear of the earth before a yell that sent another one into space. Spider-Man looks into his future daughter's optics, "I don't expect you to understand now, Spider-Cat."

The young girl gave an annoyed tsk, "I understand perfectly; how do you know this isn't going to bite you in the butt?"

Electro growled, getting into her face, "Listen here, freak! No one uses me as a puppet and lives to tell the tale. I am no one's fool!"

"Uh-huh, you just happen to make yourself look like one all the time."

Electro turns to his foe, "Shut up."

"I can't believe this…." Cat threw her hands up in the air, "You have enough superhero help to fight Venom, and you are going to enlist the help of one of your rogues!?"

Spidey knew where the conversation was headed, so wrapping an arm around her shoulder, they went a few feet away from Electro's prying ears to have a small chat, "Look, it's a little unorthodox, I know, but we are going to need all the help that we can get here. Besides, I'm not going to argue that we have plenty of people who want to help end this invasion just as much I do."

"But do you really need his help?"

"Don't worry about Electro. I want to ensure that he isn't causing harm to anyone but Venom or his allies." The last bit was said a little too darkly

Cat shoulder sag, 'We aren't making a dent in this invasion, and it hasn't been a few days either. I don't know if I can tell him or do I hold unto this.' Her thoughts drift to Carol, 'Uncle did say that Carol was acting too much of a soldier instead being a human being. Not to mention her reaction when I told her I didn't condemn anyone.' She looked at her father, 'Let alone dad….'

Another hour passed, and the area was cleared of symbiotes and towers. Just then, Peter's communicator goes off, "Spidey here, go ahead…." He listens as Superman explains that Tinker is willing to help them and knows the final piece of the superweapon puzzle for ending the symbiotes: "Finally, some good news. Alright, we will rendezvous at Fisk tower; we're finished with the symbiotes and freeing Electro from the symbiote control."

"Um, not quite."

Rykers Maximum Security 1:00 am

The trip to Rykers was quiet; She-Venom and Anxiety didn't understand why they were here at Eddie's old prison. Venom explained that Mystique knew of a powerful mutant held at the prison, and they were going to bust him out of it. It would be glorious to see this unstoppable Juggernaut in action. When they arrived, they saw a lot of damage done to prisons and the construction crew and knew they had to be sneaking in, but coming out would be a treat.

Using their camouflage and chameleon abilities, they snuck into the prison undetected. They managed to get to the elevator and take it down. When they came to a halt, symbiote Mystique saw a guard and mimicked him.

"It is time to introduce ourselves, no?" Venom says, "Excuse us, sir?"

"What the!" Before the officer can do anything, he's consumed by Venom and released into a symbiote slasher, "Go and spread the infection."

The lone slasher roars as it crawls out of their presence, they hear other security guards screaming and guns being shot out. Now that the guards are being held busy, they can walk freely. They went through a hallway with multiple bar gates, followed by a unique locked door in need of a special key to unlock it.

Agony volunteered to bring their newly infected friend back; it didn't take long to find the freshly infected guard to come with another four to five infected guards. Venom looks at them, "Which one of you has access to the other side of this contraption?"

They looked and hissed at each other before; finally, one came up to the lock pulling out a unique key to open the door. They entered as the blast door swirled out of the way, going down a narrowed hallway to another security terminal, this time with a hand scan presented before them. Whoever this Juggernaut person is, requires a lot of security to be held in place. It wasn't long before they appeared before an eye scanner.

"This is getting annoying. What type of maximum-security needs three features to keep one person at bay!" Venom roared

"You don't understand; this is no ordinary person we are dealing with." Symbiote Mystique says, "Cain Marko, better known as Juggernaut, is a long-time enemy of the X-Men. Marko's father married Xavier's mother after his father's death, and he is Xavier's stepbrother. When he grew up, Cain used a secret mystic energy from the Gem of Cyttorak to awaken his dormant X-gene, turning him into the unstoppable Juggernaut. Cain hates Xavier with a passion, though no one knows the reason why."

"Are we supposed to be impressed by that story? What makes him unique?" Venom growls

"I'm getting to that!" Mystique hissed, "The Juggernaut possesses virtually limitless superhuman strength, along with no fatigue toxins during physical activity, granting him unlimited stamina in all physical activities. In addition, he is virtually invulnerable to all forms of physical injury. As far as I know, Cain can only be harmed by high-level mental attacks, which is why your current problem is to make sure that Xavier does interfere, for if he does, you will lose your most powerful asset. I already lost Sabretooth, so you better ensure you do something about that when the time comes."

Venom is unimpressed well in the later part by the claim though he begins to ponder. He will want to see this Juggernaut in action, so why not unleash him with a symbiote in hand against his most hated enemy. So why not free him when they are least suspecting it, right?

"Let us get through this first, then we'll see how good this guy really is." Venom motioned towards the eye of the scanner. Again, the symbiotes hissed and growled at each other until one stepped up to the machine; with one eye uncovered, the machine scanned the eyeball, and soon enough, the chamber rotated.

The room was spacious, and in the center was a large tube connected with wires that looked like it was covered so no one could see what was in it. Symbiote Mystique grinned madly as the mutant went to the terminal, pushing a few buttons. Soon enough, the room comes to life as the now tube rises with another clear glass tube taking its place. Venom crosses his arms as he watches the woman from the back place her hands on her hips with an evil smirk on her face not seen on her face.

On the other hand, She-Venom isn't too keen on this person as the tube is revealed, and inside sleeps a man of great height wearing some type of red armor chained; she studies his face, and it looks like he is asleep. Not wanting to voice her opinion, she watches as the liquid drains from the tube; the man's eyes begin twitching as he slowly opens his eyes.

"Wake up, Cain. I do believe your freedom is long overdue." Mystique then goes to the glass to tap on it, "I also believe that you are overdue for a long reunion with your brother Charles Xavier."

The man snapped at attention, his eyes full of hate at the mention of his stepbrother. Agony says, "So what exactly is this liquid draining?"

"This is Cellular Paralyzes Biofluid. Very effective, especially when it stopped the unstoppable."

"We thought you said to keep him away from Xavier. Why are you insisting on bringing him to this person?"

"Understand Venom. We must avoid Xavier and the X-Men, but with your symbiote, you can the unstoppable do whatever you like." She responds gleefully, then turns her attention to Cain, "It'll be a few moments before you can move, so in the meantime, sit tight."

"Err…who…are you…" The man voice sounded hoarsely

The quietness of the park is alarming, with the sirens of the emergency personal wailing in the distance, it is the only the only thing that echoes through the empty park. Though the park is not without inhabitants of a symbiote walkers, slowly walking with a limp. The moment of the quietness didn't last long as the atmosphere shifted, sparks began to form, the wind begin to pick up and soon electricity began to come all electrocuting walkers.

A silent whoosh is heard as a blue sphere came and went destroying anything in its path leaving behind a smokey atmosphere. Yet it leaves behind a figure who is hunched over, the figure soon rises to her full height and her eyes scan the area. Her face is impassive, her hard blue eyes are cold, wearing a symbiote suit with the white spider emblem with a lightning bulb in the middle of her chest but then she flips her wrist over a hologram appears.

She smirks, "This is the date, perfect. I must find my past counterpart, should be easy enough. Cindy death must occur, then the master will be mostly please." She giggles perversely thinking about something raunchy what the master would do to her, "Oh, Felicity you poor naïve little girl. You though you could go into the past and deny you father his rightful claim? You haven't won the war yet. But first things first I must help Venom as distastefully as I don't want to."

The blonde-haired woman places her hand down and looks up crossing her arms, "I also need to be extremely careful of those two." She growls, "They may not look it but they are very observant of their surroundings mostly her and that stupid spider-sense of Felicity, if anything goes wrong then we lose everything." The woman takes to the sky, "I can't believe his daughter refused to be part of the something glorious, but master sent me back just as insurance to make sure everything goes according to plan."

"Relax, we are friends also bearing gifts as well." The shapeshifter went over to another compartment to retrieve his helmet, "You can say you scratch our backs, and we'll scratch yours."

The man hums, "Who are they?"

"We are recruiters, and you will be our ticket for global symbiosis."

The man scoffs, "No one uses Juggernaut, nor will you take me anywhere."

"You don't have a choice in the matter." Before anything else can be said, he pushes Mystique out of the way before he walks up to Venom after his helmet is clipped; with heavy foots pounding away at the ground, it causes the room to tremble ever so slightly. Everyone is tense as the two beings look each other square in the eye. The man Klyntar notices the man pushing seven feet tall, but he is not moved at this great stature, "What do you want?"

"Perhaps I didn't make myself clear, have I now?" He said, "No one can stop the Juggernaut."

"Your prison declares otherwise."

"A minor setback, but now that I am free, no one is going to stop me this time." He flexes his muscles and then points to Venom, "Now stand aside or face my wrath…."

Meanwhile, somewhere in Central Park

The quietness of the park is alarming; with the sirens of the emergency personnel wailing in the distance, it is the only thing that echoes through the empty park. Though the park is not without inhabitants of symbiote walkers, slowly walking with a limp. The moment of the quietness didn't last long as the atmosphere shifted, sparks began to form, the wind started to pick up, and soon electricity began to come from all electrocuting walkers.

LXD: Sorry for the delay, guys, work had me on my toes, and it was hard to know which direction I wanted to go in this chapter. In addition, I was reading a lot of Danny Phantom Fanfic, mostly Danny x Ember and Avatar the Last Airbender fic, which didn't help in trying to progress this chapter. Hope you enjoyed this installment.

SHWAT, as of 11/10/22, this message is specifically for you if you ever decide to advance this far in the story.

I already sent you a PM regarding your comment, but you…oh you…you are a class 'A' rude person, you know that? You may be entitled to your opinion(s) but what you don't get to do is come on my story to try to humble me like that as if I was a child and tell me that the bull that spewed out of your mouth. I know I have grammar issues, but unless you are willing to help me improve as an amateur writer, I would have preferred you kept your review to one or kept the second thought to yourself and moved on! 'You lost brain cells…' please…as if you had perfect grammar and no need for improvement!

I would like to see your stories, but I checked your profile. ZERO tales from you since you joined in 2018, 4 years of doing what?! If you had just said, 'Listen, man, I read a bit of the first chapter. It's hard to read, and you need to improve your grammar and handle Aunt May's situation a bit better or something along the line. I would have been cool with that. But no... 'You lost brain cells' when you read the first chapter as well; it was such a turn-off that pushed you away. What a bunch of baloney! I will reiterate what I said to you; it's reviews like yours that many new people will want to quit writing! You can't offer ways to improve; instead, you offer responses like that, which blows the confidence of a new or an old writer who is passionate about a franchise and wants to write. RUDENESS will not get people to improve, nor tell them to stop writing or off themselves because you don't happen to like a particular way of writing. Saying likes won't accomplish anything!

I say again what I told you before; you don't see the potential; you don't see anything at all. What you want is a perfect college essay! Need I remind you no one is perfect! Are you willing to help me correct these grammar errors as a beta? Probably not! Luckily, I have Grammarly, which helps me a lot more than finding a beta reader on this site.I had the privilege of meeting and working with one despite my various attempts in the past. I am grateful to her; she saw my potential, unlike you! But I will not hold my breath for a PM or an apology. Create your own story, and let's see if you won't get the same reaction you are giving me! Good day to you, sir!

Responses to the reviewers:

I'm sorry, fellas, but I don't think I will be responding to anyone's reviews of Chapter 35; this last comment from this guy based on chapter 1 irked me to no end, but I will answer reviews in the next chapter. Also, there have been some activities in the polls; please get your votes in. You have only today to vote before we move on to round 2. I think I gave plenty of time to get results in, and we have 9 votes in total, with Street Fighter in the lead by 2 votes and a tie with one vote for Assassin's Creed, Total Spies, M.H.A, Naruto, Invincible, and Star Wars. But please, as always, leave a comment; if I earned your subscription to the story, consider following; please favorite or follow, and I will see you next chapter.
