Hello everyone. This time I'll only clarify two things so you won't get confused.
First, please assume that if something happened in the original Pokemon: Sun and Moon anime, but wasn't directly mentioned in this fic, then it also happened here in unchanged form. I mean, episode scripts for this series are VERY hard to find and the same applies on a smaller scale to episodes with English subs (Or whatever you call the white text at the bottom of the screen in these). I hope you understand.
And that second thing is... Naming, apparently.
You see, I decided that I'll stick to English names in this Fic with the exception for Ash/Satoshi, who will have the one from Japanese version (Satoshi).
I do it purely because the mamę 'Ash' is, you know, similar to word 'ash'. And given that I can forget about the capital letter on such a word, I don't want to make dialouges confusing.
I hope you understand.
If you do/aren't discouraged enough to stop reading, then here is new chapter.
Narrator pow:
"Alright, Scout is gone for his daily socializing session." Engineer said, closing the doors in the late morning as he was left alone in the apartament with Dawn and their pokemon. "Now we can start." He added, giving her into hands what looked like a shotgun with cylinder magazine attached to it's front.
"What's that?" Girl asked him, while Aron and Magnemite went to the side of the room out of caution.
"This is a variation of a shotgun I use, it's called Panic Attack." Engineer explained, showcasing a stock shotgun for comparison. "Quick switch speed and consistant firing pattern for lower damage outside of close range and decrease in accuracy with every consecutive shot. But even with that, it's rather good for progressive learning when you try hard enough." He added before taking out one of his pokeball and throwing it all the way under the opposing wall, whete it opened up and revealed a shiny Scizor with confidently crossed arms resting on his front.
"How many pokemon do you have?" Dawn asked, for some reason dazzled by the variety in BLU Team's merc team.
"Too many, and the fact this little fella wants to stay with me isn't changing that." Engineer responded, patting Aron on the head before touching it with his pokeball and reserving him for himself. "I hope you don't mind switching your pardner so quickly."
"Of course not! If he wants to stya with you then I don't mind." Dawn responded, looking back at the Scizor who only extended his right pincer towards her as if it wanted to shake her hand.
"The moves she knows are as follows: Quick Attack, Double Team, Iron Defense and Protect. She also has calm nature and was trained by me for defense and speed since she was my third catch. Have fun at the ladies training session." He added before he and Magnemite went out of the apartment and closed the doors shut behind themselves.
"... Sooo, I guess you are my trainer then, how ironic for me." Dawn said, as she and her Scizor were left alone. "Now then, where do we start?" She asked right afterwards, to which her pardner responded by walking up to the wall on he right and pressing barely sticking out part of plaster, which after a while of removing the coverage revealed itself to be a blue button with white words 'tr_walkway_rc2' slapped on it.
"Walkway, huh? I guess no targets stay still when shoot at." Dawn commented, remembering her experiences during the pokemon contests and battles, where waiting for the attack to his was an easy way to losing. "I trust you on pressing it Scizor." She added as her pokemon gently pressed the button and the two were instantly teleported into what looked like a mix of the restroom, industrial warehouse and operation planning room. "... Might aswell start the training then... "
"Hmm, that will be useful, especially against Rock types." Scout said to himself as he picked up his pokeball with his new catch while simultaniously retrieving his Eevee back into the other one.
"Hey Scout! How's it going?" He heard a feminine voice from behind.
"... Oh, Mallow! How are you doing?" BLU Team mercenary asked in response, turning around to see his green-jaired schoolmate with Bounsweet resting happly on her shoulder.
"Answer my question and I'll answer yours!" She responded grabbing him by the arm and forcefully dragging him behind herself towards The Pokemon School.
"I caught a Butterfree, now tell me your..." Scout added, ending the speech as he saw rest of the class walking back and forth around the school with their respective pokemons and viarous decorations.
"We're making an invitation party for you two, shame that you came so soon." Mallow responded, giving him a polite glare.
"No problem! It's not like I enjoy parties to begin with." Scout responded, making her and Bounsweet look at him with confusion. "Tell you what, how about I join you guys and we make it a welcome party for Satoshi alone?" He added, walking away from her towards the others.
"Sure thing! Just wait for me to discuss the details!" Mallow called after him, following quickly to not be left out from the preparations.
"Phew! That was good!" Dawn said, looking at her target shield with several gun marks, most of which happen to be located on the center. "Is it always so easy to just pick a gun and shoot it?" She asked her Scizor, who only shaked her hand left and right with squinted eyes. "That's weird, but I guess it shows your skill as a training partner." She added with a smile, making her pokemon slightly twitch her wings.
"You know what? Let's end for now, I can see you're getting tired." Dawn added, taking out her pokeball and retrieving passively agreeing Scizor back into it. "And now the travel part." She added, walking ul to the control pannel and pressing the return button on it.
"Oy, Satoshi! Remember your initial thought at Sophocles challenge?" Scout asked, standing on the opposite side of the table as the whole school gathered for a lunch.
"Yes I do, what's up with that?"
"Mine challenge for you is battle, assuming you will be able to at the end." BLU merc responded, taking a hard bite at the steak.
"Sounds awesome, but..." Satoshi replied, but paused as the loud pokemon cry sounded around the party members. "That sound..." He said to himself, as the whe gathering turned to see a curious-looking pokemon floating just above them.
"It's the guardian diety of Melemele Island, Tapu Koko!" Lillie exclaimed with concern, standing up from the table.
"It's my first time seeing it." Mallow added, astonished as well.
"Diety, huh?" Scout asked out loud, but wasn't given any attention as Satoshi walked up to Tapu Koko himself.
"I'm glad I got to see you. I didn't get to thanks you for the Z-ring." Kantoan boy added, stopping at the breathing distance since any step further was a fall a condignation or two below his current level.
"..." Pokemon didn't responded as he instantky teleported behind him much to the shock of everyone around.
Well, almost everyone, as he was hit in the back of the head by a small, white baseball.
"Hrmm?" Tapu Koko grunted with a mix of anger and confusion as everyone changed their obsered target, now switching to Scout who rested a wooden baseball bat on his right shoulder while tossing the same baseball up and down with his left hand.
"Diety or not, stealing isn't a right thing to do." Mercenary teenager said, shrugging his hips twice and allowing his white fur-less Eevee and Butterfree to stand on his sides.
"D-sid you just... Attack Tapu Koko?" Kiawe asked him, being the first to break the concerning silence.
"Yeah, what's up with-!" Scout boasted, but was quickly shut by Tapu Koko's Dazzling Gleam hitting him in the face and sending him flying all the way down to the edge of the nearby forest. "It didn't hurt!" Scout instantly added with optimism, jumping back in feet just to take a full Steel Wing to the face as Tapu Koko opted to just do his thing and run with Satoshis cap away.
"Get back here!" Satoshi shouted as he rushed past alongside his Pikachu to chase after the pokemon.
"Playin' tough, huh?" Scout asked out loud as he stood up with a double barrel shotgun with revolver magazine. "Butterfree! Help me beat this champ!" He added before cracking up the can of canned drink labeled BONK! and rushing after others with a constant trail of after images behind him.
"Prrr!" Butterfree squeakes happly, following after him as quickly as possible alongside majority of the other party members.
"Hee?" Eevee squeaked in confusion, seeing his trainer straight up abandoning him with, well, people he saw for the first time.
"Woof, woof." Rockruff barked calmly, as he, his owner - Professor Kukui and Lillie stayed behind out of confusion.
"Lillie! Please keep the two in check until we return!" Kukui barely could respond as he rushed towards the forest after Sophocles for a sake of helping him to navigate inside of it.
"Wait, what!" Lillie exclaimed, looking back and forth at the forest and Rockruff trying to have any conversation with Eevee, who just rolled himself up into a circle and lied under the wall with empty eyes.
"I Azumarill that you need some help." Samson Oak added, walking up to her with a polite smile.
"Y-yes, actually." Lillie responded, looking at the floor with resignation. "You know that I can't touch pokemon-?"
"Then why don't you try now?" The school principal asked her, looking at the curled ball of brown fur. "This little guy could use a caring owner now that I look at him."
"... Are you sure?" Lillie asked again, her hands shaking while Rockruff backed down to the Samson and shaked his head in a manner roughly equal to 'I did all I could.' with unsatisfied eyes.
"Absolutely! In between of making pokemon-based puns there is also a time for a serious approach." Samson nodded, giving her a pat on the shoulder. "Besides, judging by his eyes he fears you as much as you do him."
"..." Lillie didn't responded, taking several deep breaths before making a step forward. "I guess trying won't hurt." She finally said, slowly approaching the shy Eevee who opted for seemingly lifeless lying on the floor.
"Eeerrgh?" Eevee hoarsed in suprise, seeing her come up to him so close that his tail could touch her if moved right.
"Can I... Touch you?" Lillie asked him, tiliting her head to the left. "Nobody will hurt you here, I promise." She added, closing her eyes for a moment as she crouched down right in front of him.
"... Ep." Eevee responded, modding slightly while making a sound similar to very quiet clock alarm.
"I take it as a yes." Principal Oak said, taking Rockruff into his arms and cuddling him. "After all, everyone is a family in Alola." He added, making Eevee rise his head with what could only look like disbelief on his face.
"You want to have a family?" Lillie asked him, reaching out to him with her extended arm. "I'm sure mine would like you." She added, eventually placing her hand on Eevee's head.
"Eevee!" Pokemon squeaked happly, before standing up and ended up in her full embrace.
"I guess you aren't afraid of touching pokemon anymore." Samson added, while Rockruff began panting and shaking his tail left and right.
"Heheh, not all pokemon. But..." Lillie paused, looking down at Eevee's brightened face. "... I am on a good course now. I'm sure of it." She added, taking him up and placing him on her shoulder. "I wonder however how Scout will react, he isn't exacly cautious, as we just saw..."
"Got you now, fatball!" Scout laughed as he rushed past Satoshi like a wind and kicked Tapu Koko in the back with straight leg, then he bounced back and landed on the the edge of cleared area on a middle of the forest.
"Huh? Now what's that?" Satoshi asked, as he and the rest of the team made it to the place.
"It's an obvious arena." Scout said, hiding his guns as his Butterfree flew to his right side. "He wants to battle you because I'm too muc for him." He added proudly, only to be hit with the Steel Wing again and getting knocked back to the rest of the group. "Hmph, coward. But you can have it your way" He added, standing up while his pokemon went back to him out of necessity and a quick talk with the island's guardian.
"So, do you actually want to battle us?" Satoshi asked, looking forward at Tapu Koko's stale face.
"Krrr." Pokemon responded, nodding before pointing at Scout with his left 'hand' and then to the left of him, where a very angry Arcanine took his stand before letting out a trail of smoke from his mouth.
"Seems like Tapu Koko will fight Ash and Pikachu first, then Aiden will have the battle against Arcanine." Professor Kukui said, making Scout smile instantly. "An odd choice, but I'm not the one to question Tapu Koko's choice."
"Whatever, not a first wild pokemon I encountered." Scout said, earning several doubtful looks as he walked to his right towards the second clear path separated from the first one by a few rows of trees. "Let's do this at the same time while the big boys do their own thing." He added, walking towards his new destination with Butterfree following behind him while Acranine followed him, encoiraged by Tapu Koko's silent approval backed by a hand gesture.
"What is your goal here?" Kukui thought, looking after his overconfident student who casually pulled out what looked like a purple soda can.
"That guy is no good with that attitude. no A-crystal for him, that's for sure." Kiawe assured himself, turning his attention back to the fight Satoshi was about to have.
As for the others, they were too focused on Satoshi to have seperate thoughts on Aiden and his behavior. At least at the moment...
"How are you feeling?" Dawn asked, approaching kneeling Scizor after a second round of her gun training, this time ended earlier due to health concern.
"... Gnnn..." Pokemon responded, standing up while dusting it's frontal armor from the bullets who got stuck in it.
"Yeah, I'm sure it hurts by a lot." Dawn added, taking out an opened bag of Pewter Crunchies. "Lucky us that Engineer keeps the fridge full." She added with polite smile while Scizor grabbed the bag in her pincer and began eating them. "Now that I think about it, I do wonder how he gets the money for all of it..."
"Yee-haw! Job well done!" Engineer laughed, as he, his Aron, Magnemite and ended their way up to the Recycling Plant, both of them carrying plastic bottles and other plastic elements that belong in designated trash cans.
"A second one today! What do you fly with?" One of janitors asked him next to the entreance gate while his Alolan Grimer attended to take the cargo from the two.
"I swim, not fly." Engie corrected him, adjusting his goggles. "I have Remoraid, a Spheal... And two Mantines, sounds good enough?"
"Wait, both your Mantines were evolved by you?"
"Exacly." Engineer smiled, handing his hold to the Grimer. "I decided to keep Remoraid because it fell in love with my Spheal and made him evolve into a Sealeo. An odd story if you ask me, really." Engineer added, adjusting his bright blue shirt with barely visible BLU Team insignia hafted onto the left chest.
"Four water types? Yeah, that sounds good for traveling between islands." Janitor responded, opening the gates so Grimer could walk inside the facility. "You'll be coming here often?"
"Heck yes!" Engineer responded while his Magnemite and Aron scored a high-five behind him. "Pardners like to swim a lot, trash will always have to be taken out and I have whole loads of free time. Just not everyday, given that random events can happen." He added before turning around his joyful duo of porters.
"I guess that counts, hope to see you soon!" Janitor responded, walking back into the site.
"I guess that counts boys, how about we go home?" Engineer added, making his pokemons nod in agreement before they all began their return journey by the walk to the docks. A walk that was passively observed by more active than usually assumed Tapu Bulu.
"Feeling better?" Dawn asked, stretching her arms while Scizor gave her a thumb-up, or rather the equivalent of Such gesture with pincers. "Great to know, I was worried for a second there." She added before walking away to the window and looking outside at some Team Skull grunts rudely behaving in a middle of a town square, much to the other's trouble. "Hey, you jerks! It's not nice to do such thing you know?"
"And who are you to talk, yo?/Some sort of glory seeker yo?" Two of the grunts talked back with their typical fashion while the other two opted for stealing of pokemon.
"Whatever! I'm getting down there and taking you down! Let's go Scizor!" Dawn responded with prideful tone, jumping out of the window and catching her grip on Scizor's back before they landed on the ground, intimidating their opponents enough to have them take two steps back each.
"Yeah, yeah. Your type is always a big talk." First grunt smiled undeneath his bandana, taking out his pokeball and letting out his Spearow to have a battle.
"And no one talks to Team Skull like that!" Second one added, throwing his pokeball with Ledyba inside of it, turning the battle into 2v1.
"Wait for us, yo!" Another one added, as he and the fourth grunt added their pokemon to the mix, making the battle into a 4v1 with addition of Mankey and Rowlet.
"Four on one, huh? Lucky me I was just done training." Dawn smiled, before taking protective battle stance. "Scizor! Use Quick Attack!"
