Ayumu leaned back in her chair and listened as Present Mic announced Midoriya and Todoroki's match.

Todoroki was the first to attack, ice shooting straight for Midoriya the same way he had attacked Sero earlier. Midoriya raised his hand and the ice smashed to pieces causing frigid wind to blow over the stands.

"Woah! Midoriya managed to break Todoroki's insane opening move!" Present Mic announced.

Again, ice flew at Midoriya and again he sent the frozen wind into the stand as he broke the ice again. Then for a third time.

"Oh, crap! I'm missing it!" Kirishima came rushing down the stairs toward field, stopping next to Bakugo.

"Hey, nice job making it to the second round Kirishima." Kaminari congratulated.

Kirishima's attention was pulled away from the field and he looked down at Bakugo beside him, "Thanks, man. It looks like I take down Bakugo next."

"I'll kill you." Bakugo didn't bother sparing Kirishima even a glance.

Kirishima laughed, but kept his eye on Bakugo, "Ha, yeah sure. In your dreams. No, but seriously it's crazy how you and Todoroki both have moves that blast the whole stadium. Must be pretty nice."

"Plus you don't have to pause between attacks." Sero added.

"It's not as easy as you think, you morons. If you overuse your muscles, you risk tearing them apart. If you sprint too much, you run out of breath." Bakugo went quiet for a moment and examined his wrist. Ayumu followed his gaze to his hand, but as soon as she did he brought his eyes back up to the field, "Quirks are physical abilities, too. They can get worn out. You can't just use them nonstop."

"It makes sense when you put it that way. I wonder if that's how Midoriya thinks he's gonna beat Todoroki." Kirishima mused.

Ayumu shrugged, "I'm sure that's his plan. With someone as powerful as Todoroki I think you'd have to, especially if you can't really control your quirk."

"And we all know that damn nerd can't do anything without breaking his bones." Bakugo spat.

"You're just such a pleasant person, I can't imagine how you don't have more friends." Ayumu muttered and Bakugo shot her a glare, but turned his attention quickly back to the match just in time to see Todoroki catch Midoriya's foot in the ice.

"Don't act like you weren't thinking it." Bakugo noted.

Kirishima laughed and moved back to the seat in front of them. "I'm sure either way this will be an interesting match."

Another huge blast of air flew at the stands from Midoriya's attack against the ice. Midoriya had freed himself, but Todoroki was now encased in an ice prison. He stood up slowly.

Ayumu looked a little closer at the scene playing out, "Shouldn't someone step in? Midoriya's arm looks like it's completely broken." She mumbled to herself.

Present Mic laughed through the speaker, "Todoroki continues his overwhelming attacks! Could this be his finishing move?"

Ayumu covered her face as yet again another frozen blast of air filled the stands as Midoriya shattered the ice once more. Bakugo flinched back in his chair beside her out of surprise. When Ayumu uncovered her eyes she could see how close Todoroki had come to being blasted out of the ring from the force of the wind, but he still managed to stay inbounds.

Kaminari jumped to his feet beside Ayumu to get a better look at the scene below them.

"I can't believe he's still standing after that!" Kaminari breathed as Todoroki pushed his way out of the ice he'd made and faced Midoriya once again.

Ayumu nodded to him as he fell back into his seat, "I know they're both so strong."

After a moment, Todoroki sprinted toward Midoriya. Beside Ayumu, Bakugo leaned forward, covering his mouth. She studied him for a moment. You could almost see the wheels turning in his mind as he stared down at the match going on below. Ayumu considered asking Bakugo what he noticed, but decided to let it be. There was a chance they would be going up against one another and he deserved a chance to observe without her interrupting.

Ayumu turned her attention back to the match just in time to see Midoriya slam his fist into Todoroki's stomach only to pull back in pain. Todoroki recoiled, but recovered quickly and sent another wave of ice toward Midoriya. The two continued to battle: Todoroki sending ice toward Midoriya and Midoriya dodging and throwing punches, only occasionally landing a hit. All the while Present Mic continued his commentary.

"I know I said this earlier, but honestly someone should step in." Ayumu watched as Midoriya stumbled forward, but stayed on his feet. "I know Recovery Girl can heal basically anything, but she's gotta have a limit too, right?"

Bakugo groaned and shot Ayumu a dirty look, "Will you shut up and watch the match?"

Ayumu glared sideways at Bakugo, but leaned back in her seat just in time to watch Todoroki burst into flames. She could feel the heat from then fire even from the stands.

"Oh my God." Ayumu leaned back farther in her chair to try and escape the heat meanwhile Bakugo leaned forward.

"Yeas, Shoto!" All eyes turned to the stands closest to the field where Endeavor was walking closer to the field, "Have you finally accepted your purpose? That's it. Very good. This is the dawn of a new era for us. With my blood in your veins, you'll surpass me. You will live up to the reason I created you!"

"Endeavor suddenly shouts words of… encouragement? What a doting father." Present Mic announced, his tone unsure.

Steam began to fill the field as Todoroki began to summon the ice from his right side, still keeping the flames from his left side intact. Midoriya shifted his stance, seemingly ready for more.

Ayumu felt her heart begin to pound painfully in her chest and her stomach twisted in knots. This couldn't be good. Just as the thought crossed her mind, the teachers began to spring into action. Class 1-a's Literature teacher, Mr. Cementoss, used his quirk to try and change the concrete in the arena. Meanwhile Midnight pulled at her costume's sleeve to release her quirks, but it wasn't enough.

Midoriya rushed toward Todoroki just as he shot what could only be described as an explosion his way. Mr. Cementoss put up 5 cement columns in vain. As soon as they were erected, they were knocked together and completely destroyed by the blast created by the two boys' attacks.

Cement blocks flew out from all sides toward the stands along with the wind from the explosion. There were shouts from the stands as the wind. Ayumu shrieked and felt someone shoved her down out of the way to the hurricane-like winds.

"Get down, idiot!"

Ayumu looked up to see Bakugo holding her just below the top of the chair while still watching the chaos below.

Kaminari stood on Ayumu's other side covering his face as the wind continued to blow, "This is crazy!"

"What's happening down there?" Yaoyorozu shouted.

After what seemed like forever, the wind died down and the smoke slowly began to clear. Bakugo let go of Ayumu without looking at her and she pulled herself up into her seat. She opened her mouth to thank him, but nothing came out.

"What happened just now? And what the heck is up with your students?" Present Mic's voice came over the speaker"

"The air around the ring cooled down throughly, and then rapidly expanded when heated up." Aizawa explained.

"Wait, that's what caused the explosion? How hot did that fire get? Jeez, I can't see a thing! Is the match still going on or what?"

Through the smoke, Midoriya's figure appeared, still standing near the wall. After a moment, he fell to the ground.

"There. Midoriya is out of bounds." Midnight's strained voice came through the smoke. "Todoroki wins! He advances to the third round!"

As the field was cleared there was a murmuring through the crowd. Bakugo leaned back and growled. Ayumu shot him a glance and stood up.

"Where the hell are you going?" Bakugo snapped as she jumped over the back of the seats into the top row.

Ayumu shrugged, "It's going to be a while before they fix the field so I'm just going to walk around for a little bit. Do you want to come?"

Bakugo turned back around in his seat and crossed his arms, "No."

"Alright, suit yourself."

Ayumu headed up the stairs and walked down toward where the stands were selling drinks and snacks. She walked through the rows of stalls looking at the different things to buy, occasionally glancing back at the display screen to check that the next match hadn't started yet.

"Ayumu?" She turned at the sound of the voice to find Shinso. He motioned his head toward the other side of the stadium, "Let's go for a walk."
