Clean pair:
Joyce raced into the hospital entrance with one thought on her mind "Buffy". As soon as she entered she walked past all the casualties, she knew where she was going off by heart.
Giles was the first to see her, "Joyce, over here." His voice never wavered; she always noticed that in these situations.
"Mrs. Summers" Willow gave her a hug and Xander nodded, his arm in a sling and an ugly bruise on his face.
"Where is she?"
Giles pointed to a room behind them. "She's in there, the Doctor is seeing h-"
He was cut off when the Doctor walked out of room scribbling on a chart.
"Are you the family?"
"Yes, how's Buffy, Can I see her? Will she be alright?"
Joyce started to Babble, Willow put a hand on her arm to calm her as the Doctor stepped forward.
"I need to talk to you before you go in."

Buffy saw the light change as the door opened, and a lone figure slowly stepped into the room. She could not see, but she could hear.
"Mum?" she tried to sit up.
Joyce quickly sat down holding Buffy's hand "Shhh, Buffy, don't try to move, you lost a lot of blood."
"I'll be fine, sorry to scare you." She drew breath slowly. "Mum, I have to tell you something"
"It's ok sweety, The Doctor told me" She wiped a way a tear "He said you were wearing clean underwear, I'm so proud of you." She hugged her daughter
"I love you Mum."
"I love you too Buffy."
