Author's Note – I have just been thinking about it and decided to put it in a fic. I don't know if there are other fics like to think of it, let me go check...[ a few minutes later ]...uhm...I don't think i've found any, but if there is...well...I'm posting it anyway! This is what I hear- all I hear every second of every minute of every hour of every day. If I'd received a Knut for each time I had heard that name, believe me, I'd be richer than rich and richest than richer by now.

Everywhere I go, it's Lily this and Lily that. You'd think that I'd be at least at peace in my bath...but even then I hear her name.

Why?

Because my best friend loves her.

Lily Evans.

Long, fiery red hair and unearthly green eyes. The stars meant nothing to her – they're a mirror.

She's smart and sweet, lively and gentle. She's all every guy would ever want...

...but they won't have her.

She's still all that I hear of. James talks about her constantly. When it comes to Lily, he's unstoppable. But even when he's not talking about her, or even when I'm lying alone in my bed, I hear her name.

James left an echo of her name in my head.

Then, I see her face in my mind's eyes.

She's happy.

Because my best friend loves her.

I don't know how you did what you've done...but somehow, you've managed it. You have succeeded in getting not one, but two men obsessed about you.

I'll never admit it. I'll never admit that through all the denial and annoyance at James' obsession with her, I have fallen for her since the very first day.

I'll never admit that I've always secretly wished that she'd choose me over him. Never.

Author's Note – Don't get me wrong, I really like James and Lily together. But I just wanted to put myself in Sirius's place. The one where he loves someone, but can't have him because his best friend loves her. It wasn't really hard – I can relate...
