To be honest, Rimuru probably blanked out for a bit after that. Partially because he was trying to figure out how on earth- or wherever they were- a person could rise to be a god slayer.
I mean, it wasn't as if God/God's made their existence well known outside of fables, and sacred texts and books around the world.
So, the fact that Ichigo managed to face not one, but two Gods, and somehow miraculously managed to kill them both while still a human teenager...was a bit beyond his ability to wrap his mind around.
Especially since it was a feat that only another immortal- according to those same fables and sacred texts- was supposed to be able to do.
Which begged the question, was Ichigo actually an immortal too? Or was she something else entirely?
Both were very good questions. And desperately needed answering for him to completely understand just what he was going to be attaching himself to once he married the girl. However, he was a bit reluctant to ask since he wasn't sure how he would react to the answer.
Ichigo must have realized his predicament somehow, and so she simply said. "By destroying the two other's I've essentially become a god of creation." Which stunned him so much that he literally allowed his human form to melt into a puddle in reaction to her words as she went on to say, "I may live as a human, but I have a great deal of power. Power that can create life- or utterly destroy it. It's...why I have to be careful about who knows what I can do. If I fell into the wrong hands- the world itself and everything in it could perish..."
He was quiet for a while as she fidgeted on the couch, looking more and more anxious for him to say something. Anything really to let her know that he understood the position that he suddenly found himself in as her future husband.
It took him several moments longer to turn the information over in his mind, because holy hell that was one heck of a thing to drop on a guy out of the blue! But he eventually got it and slowly retook his human form and said carefully. "Well...that's a lot to digest. But it also makes a lot of sense. If I were capable of killing Gods, I'd probably have to take the place of the ones that I killed too."
To maintain balance in the world. Went unsaid between them, but Ichigo's relieved expression told him volumes as all of the pieces of the puzzle finally clicked into place for him.
Ichigo's wariness, secrecy, need for privacy, and her reluctance when it came to fighting- everything about his Queen finally made so much more sense to him now. And since he was marrying her- those things were now his burden to bear as well.
What a mess. He thought, though not unkindly as he reached out and took possession of her hands and swore, "I won't ever tell anyone. Not unless you say it's okay."
She looked slightly taken aback but gave him a nervous smile after a moment or so. "I know. I wouldn't have told you anything if I believed that you would."
"Alright then. Now that I know everything; what do you want me to do?" He asked curiously.
"Huh?" She said unintelligibly, wondering what he was talking about.
"I'm assuming that since you never want anyone outside of just me, you and..." Rimuru paused for a second before slowly saying, "Wait. Do any of your friends know? About you being..."
"A god. Yeah, they know. The truth of the matter is that they were with me when it happened. So, it was a mite difficult to hide certain...things from them. Outside of them though, I've only trusted the information with the rest of our friends- and you."
"I see," Was all that he could think to say as he turned that information over in his head for a moment before then saying, "That makes sense. Especially given how protective they are of you." She nodded her head sagely as he then asked, "I'm assuming that you never want me to tell anyone? Not even my most trusted-"
She cut him off there and reached out to frame his face with her hands as she said. "Rimuru, listen to me very carefully. As a lord you are in a position where having such important information could mean all the difference between life and death. Not just for you, but for everyone else as well. I understand this very well and have no real issues with you telling specific people. Friends or allies. Just...please, for both of our sakes, make sure that you can trust them implicitly not to abuse the information that you give them."
Rimuru searched her face for a moment before slowly nodding his head in understanding and deciding to shelf the conversation there for the moment.
He would need a bit of time to think on whether or not he could trust anyone with her secret given the nature of it and all of the risks that went along with it.
"I understand." He said after a moment or so of silence while leaning his head into her touch a bit more before asking her, "Do you feel better now that you've unloaded your secret on me?"
"A bit," She admitted as she started to run her fingers through his hair. "But not entirely. As much as I dislike lying. I'm always going to feel really anxious about what is going to happen now that you know what I am. It's simply something that I can't help."
Rimuru laid his head in her lap with a sigh, feeling pretty anxious himself. After all, it wasn't every day that a guy learned that he was going to marry a god instead of a god slayer.
And he had a pretty strong feeling that there was going to be no end of trouble now.
Sighing, he closed his eyes and allowed himself to relax a little bit more while she continued to run her hand through his hair. Though it didn't stop him from trying to come up with a plan of some sort- an explanation as to why she was so powerful. Just in case his friends and allies began to inevitably ask questions about just how powerful Ichigo was.
