Chapter 13
Arriving in the village that they saw in the Lacrima, Genki, Loke, Wendy and Carla all walked into the town together.
Rain swept through the area, with Wendy and Carla holding an umbrella to cover themselves. Genki and Loke didn't seem to bother with the umbrella at all, and walked forward into the town.
Upon doing so, Juvia was on an errand for Angel, and so was also making her way through the small town.
Noticing the town wasn't that big, they thought they'd be able to clear this up rather quickly.
"Are they still here?"
Loke wondered towards Genki.
Genki took in a deep breath through his nose, and smelled the air, immediately he could detect the scent of Angel, he'd never forget it.
"Yeah, she's in this town."
"Great, then lets find her, and rescue Aries."
Genki nods, seeing the determined eyes of Loke, and then continued on.
"Right. But Loke, when we do find her, allow me to speak with her first, to see whats going on."
Wendy nods, she really did like that about Genki. He was ready to brawl with the rest of them, but he also was smart, and a kind person who wished to not always settle things with fights, if it could be avoided. Though he also knew when the time came to fight when words would be meaningless, it was a quality that she admired, and was happy to see it as she went along with him.
"...Right, we shall try it that way. But if it comes down to it..."
Loke wondered aloud, so Genki assured him, and the others.
"Of course, if it comes to a fight then so be it. But, I think that at least trying would be good. I don't think Angel-san is truly all evil, I think there's more to Angel-san than she lets on."
Wendy and Carla nod, as the four of them begin walking through the town.
As they did, the rainfall became heavy, with Carla noting as such.
"Odd, wouldn't you say Wendy?"
"The rain?"
Wendy asked back to Carla who gives a single nod of her head.
"Looking over out of the town, its as clear as day, but as we go into the town, its dark rain clouds. Is it usually like this around here?" Genki shakes his head. "Then, what would be causing this situation to be happening?"
"I think it might be a Wizards doing."
Genki revealed.
"A pretty strong one though, right Genki-san?"
Genki inclines as Wendy as townspeople pass them by, commenting on the bad weather that they were having around.
Juvia herself also happened to be walking through the town, gathering some stuff for Angel.
As she did, she saw the four moving towards her, in her general direction, as they spoke about the weather.
"It really is heavy rain though, why would someone cause such rain to fall?"
Wendy began, speaking in a manner that didn't mean to sound negative, but to Juvia, it did, and caused her to turn her head down.
"Aah, I don't think the rains bad at all."
Juvia paused when Genki said that, and looked towards him from the distance. It wasn't a long distance, she was in hearing range for sure, but she wasn't in his immediate vicinity either.
"You like it Genki-san?"
Wendy mused, Genki nods strongly.
"Yeah, I really like the rain~"
While he said it, Juvia placed a hand on her chest, where the little homemade doll Teru Teru Bozu was stationed, and ran her fingers across it.
"Juvia hasn't met someone that likes her rain before...someone, likes Juvia's rain?"
The young woman thought to herself, completely distracted as people went by her.
As they did, someone knocked into her by mistake due to the crowd, her doll came flying off of her outfit, and landed on the muddy ground.
Juvia narrowed her brows, when she went to try and pick it up, it accidentally got stepped on by a few people passing through, causing Juvia to turn her face downwards.
Suddenly, a hand reached out, and took the doll, lifting it up, and presented it to Juvia.
Juvia looked up, and saw that it was Genki, who had gave it her back.
"Here you go." Genki said gently, as he ran his magic across the doll, which in turn removed the dirt off of it, causing Juvia to become wide eyed. "This is yours, isn't it?"
Juvia felt a pulsating sensation from her heart, as she looked towards Genki's face.
She then looked at the doll, nodding a single time.
"Yes...this is Juvia's."
"Teru Teru Bozu, right? They're used to wish the rain away, so I guess you want the rain to go away huh?"
Juvia looked at the doll that was now in her hand thanks to her reaching out for it.
She then gazed towards Genki's face, who in turn continued to smile in her direction.
Juvia felt as if she saw sparkles surrounding the young man, and she couldn't contain her face from turning a bit red.
"Do you, hate the rain?"
"The rain...no, can't say that I do. Do you?"
Did she hate the rain?
She had thought about that often, and usually, the answer would be yes.
But right now, at this moment, she didn't truly have an answer for him, only being able to speak her thoughts.
"Juvia thinks that the rain is what makes it gloomy. Do you not think that?"
"I haven't ever thought about it like that. Usually, I think of rain as a good thing, it waters crops, trees, flowers and many other things. Its just as important than the sun is, right? A good balance is what's needed."
Juvia let out a small gasp when he said it, such words she hadn't heard before.
Usually people thought the rain she brought was gloomy, and caused people to not want her to be around.
As she thought it, the heavens parted ever so slightly, with the clouds beginning to turn away.
Juvia turned her head away from Genki, with the young man raising a brow.
"J-Juvia needs to go now. Thank you for Juvia's doll!"
With some steam beginning to come out of her ears, Juvia turned around and rushed out of the area, leaving behind a perplexed Genki.
"Genki-san, wasn't she with Angel?"
Wendy asks, Genki nods.
"Yeah...but, I didn't get any kind of bad feelings from her. If anything...she seemed a bit depressed. She also talked about the rain, maybe she could be the one who causes it...though she seems to hate it as well...perhaps she has no control over the rain..."
Genki gave a wondering look as Loke moved forward.
"If she's with this Angel, shouldn't we go?"
"Yeah lets go towards them now."
Loke nodded in thanks, and the four of them began moving forward once more.
Juvia rushed all the way back to Angel, who was dazzled when Juvia ran past her, and buried her head into her hands.
"Erm...are you, okay Juvia?"
"Juvia has just met the man of her dreams!"
Juvia squealed out, Angel became shocked.
"Y...You have? When I said go out and find a guy, I didn't think you'd find one this quickly."
"Neither did Juvia! But Juvia has done, and all Juvia can think about is this man now! The man that came to Juvia, and gave Juvia kindness!"
Angel became bewildered, seeing Juvia act quite unlike anything Angel had ever seen before.
"So, who is this guy huh? What's he like?"
"He is dreamy, with golden locks like the sun! Such beautiful eyes that cause Juvia to feel deeply within her heart! And best of all he loves Juvia's rain!"
"Right..." Angel sweat dropped, seeing Juvia wiggle side to side. "...So, what's this guys name?"
Juvia paused, and thought about it.
Then her face dropped, and she became pale.
"Noooo! Juvia forgot to ask!"
Angel threw her head back, and placed a hand on her forehead.
"Honestly, you get so excited Juvia. Well, he's probably still in town, so why not try and find out his name?"
Angel offered some advice, with Juvia thrusting her hands up to the sky, the rain water washing over her skin though Angel noticed that the clouds were parting a little more with each happiness moment that Juvia was displaying.
"Yes, Juvia could do that. Juvia wants to do that, is that fine Angel-san?"
"When we find what we're looking for, then sure. Until then, we've got to find what we can."
Juvia feels her eyes light up, and she looks towards the heavens themselves, though it still rained down on her, Juvia felt a little brighter, and she couldn't help a feeling beginning to emerge within her being.
This feeling Juvia didn't know yet, but she was certain that she would be able to have some kind of fun with this new feeling.
Finally, after searching for a short time, the group came across Angel herself, surrounded by some subordinates.
When she saw Genki, Angel was taken aback, and looked visibly stunned yet excited to see him at the same.
Juvia herself saw Genki, and became surprised, happily so, and her face began to heat up ever so slightly.
One of Angels members said "Should we take them out?" who was wearing a hood, only for Angel to wave her hands.
"Quiet, let me handle this." Angel pulled forward, moving past the bewildered Juvia, and gained a pleasing smile on her face. "Darling, did you come all the way here just to see me?"
Genki steeled himself for this confrontation, he didn't know how he was going to get out of this so quickly.
"Angel-san, always a pleasure."
Genki responded, with Angel taking it in a positive direction.
Angel blushed lightly, turning her neck towards the right.
"Ooh Darling, causing me such happiness, you truly are delightful~" Angel played it off for laughs, as she noticed Carla. "Oh, little cat. Its been sometime."
Carla looked uncomfortable, so Wendy this time began speaking up.
"Y...You wont...get Carla."
Angel gave an amused look towards Wendy, Genki noticing that Loke was getting agitated.
"Please, I am past the point of such things as kidnapping. But, I am willing to make an enticing offer for you. Cat girl, don't you want to come to the Messengers?"
"What are the Messengers?"
Carla asked, bewildered as she saw Angel as a dangerous being.
Angel held up her finger, directing it towards those that were around.
"The Messengers of the Angel of course, those that follow me." The young woman embodied happiness as she turned to Genki with a coy look. "By the way Darling, what do you think of that name? I thought it suited a group that are dedicated to me, their Angel, and the name, I thought it would roll off of the tongue."
"I have to admit that it is pretty good." Angel smiles in approval. "But Angel-san, I want to speak with you about a key that you hold. In the case of Aries-sans key, I want to discuss more about that key, and the possibility of releasing the key and give Aries-san a chance to find her summoner she desires."
Angel showed a less than pleasing smile.
Genki guessed she wouldn't do it so easily, so he was thinking of best how to express his emotions.
"Darling, you know that I would want to please you as you would with me, but I can't be giving away keys now. That would be silly of me to do such a thing, wouldn't you agree?"
As she said it, Loke pulled forward, and aimed his finger at her, but Angel paid little attention.
"How did you get Aries's key?"
Angel glanced at Loke, intrigued for a few moments, then turned her head swiftly away as if she didn't care, something that infuriated Loke a bit.
"Sorry, who's this less than stellar young man?" Angel asked towards Genki, completely ignoring Loke who was showing an annoyed face. "I was speaking to my Darling, so if you could keep your lips tightly shut, it would be appreciated."
Loke didn't like that answer, and went to take a step forward, when Genki placed his hand out, murmuring "Don't worry, we'll get the key." and though he would fight if necessary, he didn't see the need to do that if they could help it, as he was thinking of ways to speak with Angel.
"Angel-san, that key, I want to settle this peacefully, and give Aries-san a chance to live on her own terms, and give her the chance to pick someone that she wishes to be with."
Angel looked towards Genki, her brow furrowing more and more as time went on.
"Darling...Aries is someone that you've become attached too perhaps?"
"Its a bit more complex than that. I want her to be able to choose who she wishes to be with Angel-san. I have heard of her past, and I am doing this, for someone I care very much about. I would like to ask you to allow Aries-san this freedom to choose who she wishes to be with, Angel-san."
Angel furrowed her brows, as she thought about the best way to go about this now.
"Freedom, I see...that is why Darling..." Angel put on a sultry expression, surprising the likes of Wendy and Carla. "I took your words to heart, during our first encounter. Because, I want you to understand the depth of my feelings. It is why I am gathering my Messengers, and treating them as good subordinates who do my bidding. Team work makes the dream work, isn't that a saying?"
"Yes, I guess that it is. But, that is why, I am asking you, please give Aries-san that chance to find her own path, so I can find Aries-san someone that she wishes to be with. She's been through enough already, I want her to be happy. I don't want to fight you Angel-san."
Angel bit her lower lip, while Juvia looked towards Genki, hearing his genuine declaration.
"Juvia is feeling something…" Juvia began, her hands cupping her chest. "This feeling...his words for this spirit Aries...he truly cares for this spirit girl...what is this intense feeling inside of Juvia? Could something be awakening within Juvia?"
Juvia wonders in her mind as Angel contemplates his words.
So she slowly begins to nod, as a small smirk appears on her face.
Then one of the members of the group promptly turns and yells "We have to fight everyone!" causing most members to begin getting into a battle position, causing Angel to glare towards the figure that said that.
All apart from Juvia, who stares towards Genki, who in turn gazes towards her.
Juvia turns her face, hot from intense feelings bubbling inside of her, with Angel giving questioning eyes.
"Juvia?"
Juvia looked towards Genki, and saw sparkles dancing all around him. She didn't know that it was his magic that was beginning to power up all around him, and it only enhanced the feelings that were inside of Juvia already.
So she turned around and began walking away.
"It seems that you have won this battle, goodbye for now."
Surprised by this turn of events, Genki looked towards the bewildered Angel.
"Eh...seems like your Messenger is going somewhere else."
Angel was gob smacked at how Juvia had given up so easily. Though Angel herself didn't want to fight, to see Juvia turning from a fight astonished her.
"J-Juvia...Why are you walking away?"
"J...Juvia cannot do it!"
Said the water woman, who cupped her hands to her breast, and looked down at her rapidly moving chest. Heat pooled to her face, and her body shook side to side.
"W...Why?"
Juvia turns back to Angel, and declares boldly.
"Because that is the person Juvia likes!"
Genki and Wendy did a spit take, Loke and Carla looked to one another incredulously, seeing Juvia shifting side to side.
Angel on the other hand ground her teeth.
"It can't be Juvia, he's the one you like?"
"Yes, it cannot be stopped Angel-san, he is the one who displayed kindness to Juvia, and Juvia simply cannot do battle!"
Angel looked tired, and placed a hand on her forehead.
"Are you for real Juvia?"
"Yes, Juvia is real!"
Angel looked quizzically towards Juvia, seeing that she was giving off serene eyes.
"I-I didn't mean…" Angel momentarily paused, and looked towards the blushing Juvia, trying to comprehend what it was that was going on. "W-What I meant is that you actually want to be with my Darling?"
"Juvia doesn't know, but Juvia is feeling a new sensation that Juvia hasn't ever felt before for...erm..." Juvia pauses, and looks towards Genki. "Excuse me. What is your name?"
Genki and the others face fault while Angel murmurs "You don't even know the name of the boy you have affection for?" but it didn't deter Juvia for even a moment, who stared with hopeful eyes towards Genki.
"Eh...Genki."
Giving her his name, Genki saw Juvia shift her lower body side to side, something that troubled Wendy a good deal.
"Genki-sama...Genki-sama...t-then if it is Genki-sama, then Juvia cannot do anything to fight against him..."
Juvia repeated with Angel looking bewildered.
But then she exhaled, as she began thinking of something else that she would want to do.
"Okay, I have an idea." Angel turns towards Genki, and shows an enthusiastic smile. "We shall talk about you acquiring the key of Aries from me Darling. On one condition."
Genki was almost afraid to ask what it was that she wanted.
"Yes, Angel-san?"
"Hand over the cat, and I'll give you the key."
Carla made an X with her arms, and said strongly "Denied!" with Angel furrowing her brows.
"Angel-san..."
Genki began with a raised eyebrow, so Angel waved her hand in his direction.
"I kid, I kid. Okay, if you really want this key, I will give it to you, for a kiss."
Genki gave her strange eyes, while Juvia looked at her with widened eyes.
"Angel-saaaaaaaaaaaaan….!"
Sweat dripped from Angel, as she looked towards Juvia, seeing that she was looking towards her intensely.
"Okay, calm down Juvia, I understand...then for a single time tonight, I want to go out with you, Genki-kun!"
Wendy, and Juvia became slack jawed, while Carla looked tired. Loke couldn't believe that this was happening, as he never thought that Angel would do something like this.
Genki on the other hand looked towards Angel, and saw her earnest expression showing itself on her face, so he pulled closer.
"I'll go out with you, Angel-san."
Angel giddily swayed side to side, cupping her hands to her chest, and looked rather thrilled.
Juvia tightened her hands, and looks towards Angel, who in turn was showing a bright and bubbly expression on her face.
"Great, then I'll go and get our stuff ready...but, not in this town. There's a big city to the north of here, lets go there on our date~"
"Okay, I agree."
Genki nods slowly as Angel clicks her fingers.
Her Messengers gather around her, and she looks towards Genki with a bright smile.
"See you soon, Genki-kun. I hope you are dazzled by our evening together~"
Angel takes off, with one of Angels followers looking towards Genki, and then towards Loke. The hooded woman stared towards them and focused upon the pair of them, before turning around and beginning to walk away.
After they had vanished, Loke was giving Genki a confused face.
"She might be trying to get away. Genki, we have to stop her."
"She wont get far, I know you're apprehensive about it, Loke. But, when we talked then...I got the sense that she was willing to hear me out. I promise, I will do my all for Aries-san. If it comes down to it, then I will fight. But, I have talked with Angel-san in the past, and I do think there is a chance she would give me the key peacefully. Besides, if she tries to run, then I can track her easily enough, don't worry."
Loke was okay with that, if Aries was going to be out of harms way, then he was willing to wait a little while longer.
"Okay...as long as Aries is safe, that's what I care about. But, you honestly think she's going to go along with giving up her key?"
"Honestly, I think she could do, she is someone that loves the idea of freedom, and when I brought it up, I saw her for a moment ponder my request deeper than she had been. Either way...I have a date huh. Wonder how Mira-san is going to take that?"
Wendy giggled awkwardly, she also wondered the same thing.
Meanwhile with Mirajane, travelling together with her siblings, Mirajane suddenly paused, and looked towards the sky, with Lisanna giving off a curious look.
"Something wrong Mira?"
"Huh...I dunno, I suddenly got a weird feeling inside of me that something is happening with Genki."
Lisanna gave her a strange look.
"I am sure that he is fine."
"Yeah, big bro is totally the toughest and strongest man around big sister! Do not worry about him!"
Elfman said with such certainty that Mirajane already knew that would be the case.
"Yeah, I get that. I have no doubt that he's fine as he's strong. But this felt like something different. Hard to explain...aah well, it doesn't matter. King of Monsters, better watch out for the Strauss Siblings! We're going to tear it a new one!"
""Yeah!""
Lisanna and Elfman both cheered as the trip went forward together.
Mirajane showed an excited face, she truly was happy to be able to go on a mission like this with her siblings, and defeat a strong enemy.
After conveying everything that was going on to Virgo, the pink haired spirit herself told the news to the bewildered Aries.
"S-So Genki-sama really is with Angel-san now?"
"He is, and my Prince has expressed he will do his best for you, to make sure that you have the choice to go with whoever you want to go with. He told me he wishes to do his best for both you and Angel, as he believes that Angel could be willing to give over the key without having to fight."
Aries pokes her fingers together in a shy manner.
"Genki-sama has done a lot for me...going through all this trouble for me, and I haven't even met him yet..."
"You shall get the chance to meet him soon enough. Then you can speak to him about many things. Though, if you're worried and wish to say sorry, then it isn't necessary, because Prince wishes to see you get a better chance to be happy now, Aries."
Aries felt truly grateful regardless.
Because it was Genki doing this much for her, trying to help her when not even knowing her, and going out of his way to help Loke out as well, it truly was a situation where she was able to feel a good deal of emotions that couldn't help but think about.
Her eyes went towards Virgo, who in turn gazes back curiously.
"V-Virgo-san...a-after I am free...who do you think I should go to? Is there anyone...you think would be good?"
"My bias says the Prince would be the best as he'd take care of you. But, its your decision Aries, I cannot say one way or another what would be best for you. But as I said, the Prince would take care of you. He takes care of me, showing me and others his kindness, empathy and love, especially for those that have little choice."
"Virgo-san...you make him sound really wonderful. I wish...I had Genki-sama as my key holder."
"Then, you can do. I would share the Prince with you."
Aries showed a small smile on her face, as Virgo looked on towards her.
Virgo was glad to see that Aries was beginning to smile again, after going through so much in her time, and wished for her to be happy. Now with Genki, she would be able to be happy.
A short while later, the hooded member of Angels Messengers, went into a room together with Angel herself.
Angel looked over her appearance in a mirror, and began brushing her hair, while the follower stared at her in wonder.
"Angel-sama, are you really going to give the key away to that boy?"
"I do know what I am doing. Now, while I am away, I want to send a good gesture to my Darling, and have you all leave town."
The follower gave a shocked face.
"Leave you unprotected Angel-sama? It can't be."
"I wont be unprotected. You see, Genki-kun is a good man, and he would let nothing bad happen to me."
"Forgive me for saying this, but isn't that reckless?"
Angel shakes her head in disagreement.
"I know much about Genki-kun, and this is the best opportunity for me. So, take the other Messengers, and leave the town. I have some assignments for you elsewhere. But, do not cause trouble in any circumstance, understood?"
The follower winced, and nods a single time.
The follower then leaves the room after Angel explains what she wishes to be done.
"I can't let Angel-sama be blinded like this. Not after everything...no, I have to do it. I have to call in the professional to take care of Genki, and take his spirit key for ourselves. To add to the collection. Tch, that will teach anyone trying to get in our way."
Thinking that darkly, the young follower goes into a different section of the living quarters that they had.
They then pulled out a communication Lacrima, and calls upon a certain someone.
[So, what do you need of me?]
The follower that answered was a young woman wearing a kimono, so the follower showed a sadistic smile.
"I need you to do a job, and to bring some friends."
[I can only bring some of my disciples with me. My usual teammates are out on another job. Is that fine with you? Though these disciples are stronger than typical Mages, they do not reach to S Class, yet hold great strength in numbers. I am making you aware of everything before we come to an agreement. If you would like the number, then let me know, and I shall tell you.]
"That's fine, I am sure you will be more than enough, anything else is a bonus for me. The woman that can beat many opponents, I have heard of your legendary skill, and I wish for that to come. Who you brings matters little to me, as long as you can get the job done."
[Then we can begin coming to an agreement, and a price. So, who is the target?]
The young woman in the kimono asked, the follower grinned.
"Genki of Fairy Tail."
The kimono wearing woman widened her eyes ever so slightly upon hearing that.
[Is that so? He has quite the reputation. My sword, is dying to see him, to drink his blood.]
The follower entangled her extreme smile, and fearlessness into one single look, something that the kimono wearer shared.
Later on after dark, having made it towards a nearby town, sitting within a hotel room, Genki had finished getting ready for his...date with Angel, Wendy and Carla sat on the bed, with Wendy noticing that every once in a while, she saw a flicker of blue coming from the window.
But when she looked, she saw nothing stood there.
"So, this date, what do you think will happen? Do you think she will ambush you?"
Carla asked, with Genki shrugging.
"Haha, I don't think she will, but I will keep my guard up all the same, promise."
As Genki said it, Wendy noticed once more that a flash of blue came from the night drawn sky outside of the window, so she looked intently towards it.
"It seems that Loke is worried that it wont work."
"Valid concerns, but we've got our back up plan in case this doesn't work."
While saying it, Wendy saw once more a flash of blue, so she went towards the window.
Genki noticed and questioned.
"Something wrong Wendy-chan? You've been quiet."
"I...I keep seeing something outside. I don't know what it is."
She said truthfully, and stood at the window.
But because it was so dark, even she couldn't see anything of note.
She just saw the town lights, and not much else.
She went to turn, when the same blue flashed before her eyes, so she turned fully like a bullet, and stood there, was Juvia, with rain pouring all around her.
Juvia, who was gazing towards Wendy, showed a near emotionless stare and a ghostly look as a flash of lightning illuminated Juvia, the young blue haired Dragon Slayer girl paled a good deal, and gasped.
"Aaaaaah!"
Wendy pulled away from the window, while Genki gave amused eyes.
"It does seem that Juvia-san has made an appearance."
Wendy cringed, and jumped onto the bed, shaking side to side as she saw Juvia's eyes on her form, while Genki himself went towards the door.
Opening it, Juvia appeared at the door, Wendy and Carla looked on with widening eyes at how fast she shot for the door.
"Its nice to see you Juvia-san. Is there something that we can help you with?"
Juvia gained an embarrassed look to her face, and turned her eyes to the south.
"Juvia...Juvia was thinking that...if Genki-sama is not busy, then Juvia and Genki-sama could have a moment to talk."
"Yeah, sure. I'll be right out."
Genki grabbed some stuff that he had, and then left while exchanging parting words with Wendy and Carla, and went out with Juvia.
Juvia and Genki walked towards a nearby park, and sit down on a bench. Because of the rain, the area was rather vacant. Juvia looked around, and then turned her head towards the night sky, only to see clouds, and rain dancing down towards them both.
Genki noticed that, and turned towards her.
"The rain, it really bothers you, doesn't it?"
"Juvia has only ever known the rain, Genki-sama." Explaining swiftly, Juvia continues. "Juvia only sees rain, because of Juvia's power. No one wishes to be beside Juvia, so its odd that you would. Especially in the rain. Isn't it gloomy, Genki-sama?"
Genki shakes his head.
"I don't think rain is gloomy personally. Some people do, and some don't. It really depends on the person I guess."
Juvia showed a slight blush on her cheeks, her eyes fading into the sky for a few moments.
"Juvia is surprised, no one has ever said anything but yes to Juvia when Juvia asks that." Juvia stares at the storm clouds above her, and her eyes fall into wonder, and yet sadness at the same time as she stares at the rain dancing down towards her. "To see what is after the clouds, the night sky, and the beautiful sun. Juvia would really want that to happen."
Genki hearing that, furrowed his brows.
"Juvia-san, you know that the rain is your magic. I'm gonna guess based on what you've said, you don't really know how to control it."
Juvia shakes her head.
"No, Juvia doesn't know how."
"I see. May I ask you another question?" Juvia nods her head. "Why are you with Angel-san? Not to say I think Angel-san is completely evil or irredeemable or anything like that. But I am curious on how you both met one another, and why you decided to go with her."
Juvia cups her hands together, and peers towards Genki, feeling her heart beat rapidly increasing her heart beat.
"It might seem strange, but Angel-san...she came to Juvia, and though she said she thought the rain was depressing, she said Juvia was funny. That Juvia was someone that was useful, and had strong powers. She said she'd put up with the rain for Juvia's sake."
Genki was quite happy to hear Angel say such things, it was pretty interesting from Genki's perspective anyway.
"So, you followed her, because she offered you a place, where you fit in?"
"Yes. Before, no one accepted Juvia her entire life. No one wanted Juvia around, Genki-sama. But, Angel-san did want Juvia around, Juvia felt accepted, by someone...for the first time, ever. ...It felt good, to be wanted. At first...maybe Angel-san did want Juvia's strength, but now, Angel-san and Juvia...we talk often about many things, it feels like Angel-san, is Juvia's friend."
Genki gave a gentle smile towards the young girl, and pulled closer towards her.
When hearing her earnest words, he fully understood why she did what she did. Wanting friends, being accepted, Genki could see that meant a lot to Juvia, and hearing her backstory a bit, it made total sense why Angels offer seemed to be a good one.
"I can understand that well, Juvia-san. Wanting to be accepted, being an outsider. It can be difficult, huh. You have a power that you can't control, I am sorry for the ignorance of others against you Juvia-san. They shouldn't have treated you like an outcast."
Juvia lightly flushed at his words.
With each passing word, Juvia could feel a heat building inside of her.
Filling every desire that she had, and her body reacted with intrigue as well.
She understood what this feeling was, and she was glad that she was able to feel it more and more.
"Genki-sama, you don't have to feel sad for Juvia...but, it makes Juvia happy...to hear your words..." As she said it, Genki noted that the sky was drizzling less and less, the clouds were beginning to slowly part. "Finding someone else who understands, makes Juvia strangely happy...to know someone can understand Juvia."
"Yeah, I can understand that. Your power over the rain, people might see it as depressing or whatever, but its your power Juvia. You can affect the weather, something that is incredible. You're amazing Juvia-san."
Juvia was taken aback, and let out a single breath.
"Juvia is…amazing?" Juvia repeated within her mind, her flush growing on her face. "Juvia is amazing...Genki-sama said that Juvia is actually amazing. Can it be...that Genki-sama truly sees Juvia as something other than depressing? Juvia...is amazing to Genki-sama...Juvia, is amazing..."
As she thought it, the rain was disappearing more and more.
In fact, Juvia was being moved to tears with such simple words. Simple, but powerful to Juvia who hadn't ever been called amazing in her entire life. No one ever praising Juvia, and giving her such confident sounding words.
"Is something wrong, Juvia-san?"
"Juvia is just, thinking about what Genki-sama said."
She said, as she began brushing under her eyes.
Genki gave a compassionate smile as he turned his head upwards to the sky.
"Huh, looks like its stopped raining, Juvia-san."
Juvia gasped, and looked to see if it was true.
What she saw...was no cloud in the sky.
All she saw was a cloudless sky, with the big bright moon shining down towards them.
Stars twinkling in the sky.
A beautiful nights sky.
Her heart set aflutter, and Juvia couldn't help but look at the clear sky with happy eyes.
"So...that is what the sky is like..." Juvia placed a hand over her heart, and pulled super close to Genki. To the point their hips were touching one another's. "Juvia sees...so, that is why the rain stopped...yes, Juvia understands, because Juvia was able to be happy...you said...you liked Juvia's rain, no ones ever said that...and you said, Juvia is amazing..."
As she said it, Genki saw her leaning towards him, having a cute expression on her face.
Genki blinked as Juvia went completely red faced.
"Genki-sama...do you have a girlfriend?"
"Well..."
"Do you want a girlfriend?"
"Aah..."
"Genki-sama, if you had a girlfriend, would we go on dates towards amusement parks?"
Genki heard how she put that, and began to question it.
"Wait, are you my girlfriend in that scenario?"
"Ooh Genki-sama, you've accepted Juvia!"
Juvia tackles Genki on the bench, as he lets out a small surprised breath, while Juvia hugs him tightly while rubbing her face against his chest, causing him to go a little wide eyed at such a sight.
"Juvia-san!"
"Genki-sama!"
"Aah!"
Juvia flailed her arms, and made adoring eyes towards the young man, who in turn saw how excited she had gotten.
A while later, after his...encounter, with Juvia, he walked towards where Angel was, and knocked on her door.
He waited for a short few seconds, before the door fully opened, and revealed Angel in a quite beautiful dress. Pure white, with a feathery pattern running across the breast area, and the left hand side of the dress. Going down her body to her knees, the dress looked rather elegant on Angel.
Seeing her, he did think that she looked amazing, and saw how she herself was smiling towards him.
"You look...stunning Angel-san."
Angel notably blushed, as she stepped outside to fully view him.
"And you also look rather angelic."
"Haha, thanks. I don't think I did a good of a job as dressing for the occasion than you did Angel-san."
"Perish the thought, you've gone through a lot of trouble on such short notice. I appreciate the suit, it suits your gentle nature. The black contrasts with the white dress shirt. It gives me a happy sensation to see you. Now, how about we go to a restaurant? I have made arrangements."
"You did that rather quickly."
Genki noted, with Angel showing a delicate smile on her face, moving towards him, and took his hand within her own. She promptly gushed at the feeling, she loved how soft yet manly his hand felt. Gentle, yet protective and strong all wrapped up into one that she couldn't help adore.
When he didn't pull away, Angel took this opportunity to pull in closer towards him, and give him an enchanting smile on her face.
"Well, things can be difficult if you don't know the right people. I simply did what I thought was necessary, and they agreed."
"I see. Now, shall we?"
Angel gives a coy smile, and walks forward together with Genki, going down the street hand in hand.
They arrive at the restaurant and order what they wished to eat, along with some sake between them. Angel pours herself, and Genki a drink, which the latter takes in stride, and takes light sips of, Angel shows a refreshing smile.
"My, a man who knows how to handle liquor."
"I have Cana-san as a guild member and a Sensei that also drunk a good bit, so drinks like this I have learned how to handle~"
"Oh yes, that other woman that came during our first meeting. How is she?"
Genki found it odd Angel asked that, but he shrugged and answered.
"Doing well, and your group?"
"No clue, I haven't seen those idiot monkey Mages since we parted. They're probably off causing trouble." Genki slowly nods his head. "So, before we get into the business about keys, and what not, I have a question for you."
"Yes? What would that be?"
"Hmm, how to put this exactly..." Angel swirled her drink as she thought about how to ask the question. "...Celestial Spirits, they mean a lot to you, don't they?"
"Yes, but isn't that human nature to care about others?"
"Depends on the human."
Genki had to admit that she held some truth within her words.
"Then decent human beings."
"That is also true. But, you came here, for a spirit that you have no prior meeting with, all the way from Fairy Tail, to come and free her. Regardless if you knew it was me, or someone else, I have a feeling you would have fought a castle to come for her, wouldn't you?"
"If it came down to it, yes."
Angel bequeathed a smile.
"That is the Genki-kun I remember fondly. Truth be told, I had hoped we'd see one another again. Never thought it would be this quickly, I wished to show you some stuff before we met one another. Alas, it seems that circumstances didn't allow us to waste any time."
"What do you mean? What did you want to show me?"
Angel leaned forward ever so slightly, her breasts being pushed ever so slightly forward, almost teasingly so by Angel, as she continued.
"I really did take your advice to heart. You inspired me to create my Messengers. Take Juvia for example, she really was a lost soul, until she came to me."
"She told me that you were kind to her, by accepting her regardless of the rain. Something that's very touchy for her."
"Indeed I did, and it isn't just that."
Genki listened to her words, and felt them were actually genuine.
Like, she didn't want to really scare Aries, yet found it difficult in trying not to be like that.
"I am glad that you took my advice to heart Angel-san. But, I also came here to ask...why did you break out of prison Angel-san? You only had a month left, yet you decided to do it then?"
Angel lowered her eyes, and let out a breath.
"That, wasn't my choice, Genki-kun."
"Then someone broke you out, against your will? I always thought it was odd, so I suspected that you didn't have any plans to break out, and someone else wanted you out."
"Yes...hehe, honestly, I was willing to live out my sentence and then, I would be able to go and live however I want. But now, because I broke out, in the eyes of the kingdom, it seems that I will forever be a criminal. How could I return to a normal life, when my chances were snatched away?" Genki could hear her depressed voice, and he went to comfort her, when she spoke about something else. "Genki-kun, do you have any siblings?"
Genki thought that was an odd thing to ask all of a sudden.
"...No, why?"
Angel mused on her thoughts, but then continued on regardless.
"I was curious, if you had a younger brother, or a younger sister."
"Do you Angel-san?"
Angel paused, something Genki noticed.
Seeing her eyes briefly go down to the ground ever so slightly.
"...Probably not."
"Probably not? You mean..."
Genki paused his words, as he thought about what Angel said.
For a few brief moments, he saw through the facade that she put up about most things, and saw a true version of herself, a version that Genki was sure held some feelings for someone. A sibling, based on what she said.
"Darling, this isn't the time to be sad now." Angel said, trying to steer the topic away from such things. "What about parents? My parents weren't that nice to be honest with you. So I don't really think about them."
"No parents either."
"So you're alone."
"No, I wouldn't say that I am alone. I have plenty of people I care about in my life. Do you have that Angel-san?" Angel shrugs her shoulders, then briefly begins shaking her head, catching herself and stayed motionless. "Let me ask you Angel-san, what is your real name? Because that is a codename, right?"
"I don't use my real name anymore, Darling. I wish to be an Angel, for my prayer to be answered."
"What prayer is that?"
Angel cast her eyes out towards the sky, and gently smiled towards it.
"To go into the sky, of course. To fade into the sky, like an Angel."
"How about I take you into the sky?"
Angel paused when he said that.
"...What?"
"Not to fade into it. But how about you and I go into the sky tonight?"
"To go...into the sky with you..."
"Did you notice anything about the sky tonight Angel-san?"
Angel looked confused, and looked out of the restaurant.
She thought about it for a few moments, before her lips curled upwards.
"Its not raining. Then that means, Juvia..."
"Yes, it seems something happened with Juvia-san. Not just me...but I think you did good for her, Angel-san." Genki stood from the table, and offered his hand towards Angel. "Want to see what this city looks like at night? From up above? I can't turn you into an Angel or anything, but for a short time, we can look into the sky together."
Angel felt her cheeks beginning to turn red at the feeling of being able to ascend into a Heaven like state together with Genki. To be able to go into the sky, together with him.
As that was going on, Loke, Wendy and Carla waited within the hotel room, wondering how the date between Angel and Genki was going. While Loke thought about Aries, Wendy wondered about the date itself, only for Carla to look towards the reddening faced Wendy curiously.
"Child, is something wrong?"
"W-What?" Wendy said with some shyness. "N-No, of course not...w-why would there be?"
"Because you have a face on that tells me something is going on with you. Are you thinking about the date he's on?"
Carla, referring to Genki, Wendy shook her head with her face becoming a little more redder than normal.
"R-Really, it is nothing...G-Genki-san is only trying to make sure that Angel-san is going to give the key to him...s-so it is okay..."
"Child, honestly."
Carla could see through the words Wendy used, and saw how she truly wished to know what was happening on the date.
However, just then, Juvia came into the room.
They all came to be on alert, only for Juvia to dreamingly walk towards the bed, as she spoke "Juvia has never had a dream come true, until Juvia found you." looking towards the place Genki's clothes were briefly, falling onto the bed, and hugged her upper body, drawing very confused looks from all three of them.
Carla and Loke looked to one another, before ushering Wendy to speak to Juvia.
Wendy shook her head rapidly, but Carla wagged her finger, and poked it towards the lying down Juvia.
Wendy made a worried face, and looked towards the happy Juvia.
"Erm...Juvia-san?"
Juvia looks towards Wendy, and shows a happy face.
"Yes?"
"...Are you...okay?"
"Juvia is more than okay, Juvia is very happy. Genki-sama, helped Juvia with the rain, and then spoke soft words to Juvia. Giving Juvia a happiness Juvia hasn't felt in such a good...ever. The first person Juvia has ever met that wished to know so much about Juvia. Which is why, Juvia is here. Wendy-san, are you dating Genki-sama?"
"N-No..."
"Then, until Genki-sama comes back, do you wish to have some conversations about Genki-sama? Juvia would love to know about his hobbies, hopes, and dreams. His likes, his loves. His passions. Everything about Genki-sama."
Wendy was bewildered by what was going on, trying to comprehend what Juvia was thinking about.
However, just then, Wendy felt something at the door, she smelled a new presence, one she hadn't seen before.
So before anyone could knock, she said "I will get the door." only for the door to be sliced right through, causing all four people in the room to leap back, as the pink haired swordswoman came into the room.
Her katana blade swung around the room, Wendy and Carla could feel that this woman had great magical energies. Juvia also could feel it, wondering who this was, while Loke grit his teeth and felt like this was a bitter truth.
"Hello, I have been made aware that while Genki is out this day, these kittens are here to play."
Saying it with a cold tone to her voice, the young woman used her sharp swordsmanship to force all four of them towards a corner of the room by rapidly spinning and slashing all of the other areas at the same time, the beds, and the chairs, and other things within the room got destroyed, all four of them got into fighting positions, including that of Juvia which surprised Loke, who thought that this was Angel, and Juvia would be aware. But from how she was acting, it didn't seem to be the case that Juvia at least knew about this.
"Angel, she's betrayed us, and attacked us while Genki's away."
Loke said that, but Wendy didn't know if that was the case, even more so for Juvia who found it odd that Angel would do such things, and didn't even tell her about it.
"Juvia isn't under the impression that Angel-san did this."
Juvia expressed to Loke, who in turn furrowed his brows.
"If not her, then why is this woman here?"
The woman herself stepped forward, and began drawing her sword ever so slightly. The light from the lights within the room reflected off of the blade, and shined towards all four of them.
"All of you, give me some entertainment, before I kill Genki before your very eyes."
Wendy and Carla grit their teeth, Loke tightens his hands, while Juvia...looks quite angry.
To the point that she had a full on scary expression that even caused the pink haired woman momentary pause.
"You...wish to kill Genki-sama?"
"Nothing personal. But, he would fetch a good bounty-"
"Nobody hurts Genki-sama!"
Juvia suddenly unleashes a strong blast of water right for the pink haired woman, who in turn briefly looks surprised, before smirking, and twirling her sword, slicing through the attack as if it was nothing, and looked through all of them, before getting ready to fight them all off.
Back with Angel, and Genki, a little before the others were being attacked, the pair stepped outside together.
Genki spreads his arms to either side, and allows his moonlight to shine. Angel dazzled with the light, stays close as he announces "Moonlight Butterflies." and creates the light paper thin like butterfly creations out of his Dragon Slayer Magic.
They circulate the pair of them, around their feet in particular, and then come together, allowing the pair to go into the sky together. Angel was taken aback by such a development and saw them going higher and higher into the sky.
They got so high that they could see the towns lit up status, the beauty of the lights dazzling the eyes of Angel. What's more, she also saw the size of the moon increase, giving off the illusion she was higher than she actually was, closer to the heavens that she had dreamed of.
She knew it was simply an application of his magic, but she didn't care for this night as to her, it made her feel very good deep inside.
For this night, it was a place where she felt the most satisfied.
"Darling...this is amazing..."
"Yes, its a good town isn't it?"
"I wasn't speaking about that Darling. I was speaking about, being up here, so high, we really are soaring in the sky right now. Flying without wings."
Genki showed a gentle smile on his face, pulling closer towards Angel.
"Yes, I guess it is quite like that."
Angel looks towards the moon, and her hand reaches out towards it.
"We are so close, we can practically touch the moon Darling."
"Yeah, looks like that huh."
Angel bequeaths a small smile towards Genki, her eyes looking up and down the young man.
"Darl...no, Genki-kun." Angel turns fully to face him. "You gave me a chance tonight. Why?"
"Because, I saw good in you Angel-san in the past, and I wanted to see, if I saw was truth, and I think that it is."
"You must be looking at someone else then Genki-kun. Not at me."
Genki shakes his head.
"I am only looking at you, Angel-san." Angel gushes, her face tinging red. "At first, I was hoping not to have a fight, honestly wasn't sure how it would go. But, I saw some good in you, Angel-san, and speaking with Juvia-san, has helped me understand. You took that girl in, to be her friend, didn't you?" Angel shifted her eyes away. "You don't have to answer me, just what Juvia-san has told me, is enough to know that I believe I am right."
Angel cupped her hands together, her fingers rubbing ever so slightly, trying to keep her gaze down on them, rather than look towards Genki, as she knew that she probably would speak the truth.
"...This key, is important to you...well, maybe I could part with it, if it went to someone like you."
Genki's face lifts up, showing his gratitude.
"You mean that?"
"Hmmm, yes, I do. Besides, you'll compensate me, wont you?"
"Yeah, so you want money or..."
Angel ran her hand across his chest, and peered into his eyes, giving off a dazzling look.
"Well Darling, I am sure that a few things can be arranged..."
As she said it with a hint of lust, Genki suddenly stopped her, and felt something.
He looked down to the town, and towards the area where the others were.
"A large power is going towards the hotel."
"That isn't my doing." Genki gives Angel a confused face who holds her hands up. "Just saying, it isn't me."
Genki nods slowly, and takes the pair of them down.
As they do, they suddenly see two people leap off of houses, and came at them with swords, so Genki places his hands out, and yells "Moonlight Blades!" swinging his arms, and creates fast moving moonlight energy crescent moon shaped blades, clashing violently with the two incomers.
Dispersing the butterflies beneath their feet, Genki and Angel land on the floor that was a small distance from the area they stood.
As they did, the two that attacked them, along with another two appear behind them, the four of them showing their deadly swords towards them.
Angel and Genki stand back to back, the former showing a dangerous smirk.
"Ooh my Darling, looks like we've got some uninvited guests."
"Seems so."
Angel snickers, twirling a key within her hand.
"Its time to show them not to mess with Celestial Wizards then, wouldn't you say?"
"Yeah, lets show them the power of two Celestial Wizards."
Angel and Genki glance back at one another, give a single nod, before preparing to fight…

So, this chapter had Juvia and Genki meeting, and she began to fall for him when he complimented the rain, and gave her doll back to her, continuing on later as they managed to speak with one another, and express his thoughts to her, helping her feel better about the rain, even complimenting her. Angel also expressed her thoughts to Genki, and began explaining about a few things regarding her. And it seems one of Angels followers isn't thrilled about Genki and Angel coming together, who that is shall be revealed down the line, so they summoned a certain pink haired swordswoman that we will see more of next chapter, who has gone for Wendy and the others, while Genki and Angel have been jumped, and now the pair are going to team up to fight off these new enemies.
