Chapter 5
" I don't care if you trust me or not!" I yelled. " That is what the guy said." Sango's disbelieving look turned into one of sympathy.
" Katsu, Its not that we don't trust you" She said. "Its just that everything has got really weird since we met you. We really don't know what to believe." The others nodded in agreement. " I mean you have to see our point." Inuyasha spoke up. " You are telling us that you are almost sixty years old, and that after a fire that destroyed your village and killed everyone in it you do not remember anything, meaning that you don't know what you have been doing for the last forty years. That's a whole lot of crap to believe."
"Inuyasha!!" Kagome yelled. " Its okay." I said, saving Inuyasha from the long speech Kagome was obviously about to give him. " What he's saying is true." I stood. " I'm going to go to bed now. Goodnight."
So Kagome and Sango believed me. I was pretty sure that Miroku and the kit trusted me also. But Inuyasha was a hard one to convince. I would probably have to bend over backwards to gain his trust. But that was fine. With so much of my past hidden there was a lot that I don't know about myself. Maybe I shouldn't be trusted.
---------------------------------------------------
I was shaken awake in the middle of the night by Sango. " Sorry for waking you." She said. " But Naraku is close by, and Inuyasha doesn't want to leave anyone behind." Seeing the expression on my face she laughed. " I know he might not seem it but Inuyasha is not near as strict as he puts off. I talked to him and he thinks that with the training I gave you it will be all right for you to come." She handed me a sword.
" You know I'm not that good of a fighter Sango. So I'm not going to be much help."
" I know that. The sword is only to defend yourself if necessary." She smiled comfortingly. " Don't worry, I'll watch out for you."
---------------------------------------------------
Sometimes things happen for a reason. Sometimes things happen as warnings of what is to come, and by listening to these warnings we can save both ourselves and those we care about. But being the idiotic pathetic creature we are, we seldom see these signs. And even if we do see them most of the time we will just turn our backs and ignore it. This has happened to me many times. But one of the most memorable was when I went to fight Naraku with Sango and the others.
I rode on Kilala with Sango and Shippo. Inuyasha were running in front of us, and Kagome was riding on Inuyasha's back. Finally after a few minutes Inuyasha stopped and pointed to a darkened place in the sky. As we got closer I saw that it was really... insects?
" Naraku's around here somewhere." Sango said to me. Inuyasha was smelling the air, and after a moment grinned. He set Kagome down and jumped about thirty feet further into the forest. We ran after him and came into a clearing. In the middle of it Inuyasha stood facing a familiar looking man, though I couldn't place who he was. But I knew that he must be Naraku from the angry hate filled look on Inuyasha's face.
" What a unexpected surprise." Naraku said. " Unfortunately I have other matters to attend to."
Inuyasha snorted. " Your more stupid then thought you were if you think I'm going to let you get away that easy." Then he charged Naraku And swung his sword. Naraku dodged it easily, and turned toward the rest of us. I drew my sword as his eyes focused on me, and tightened my grip on the hilt of my weapon. But his attack came in a way I did not expect.
As soon as Naraku looked at me, time seemed to stop. I was overcome by a overpowering wave nausea and dizziness. There was an incredible pain in my head. I opened my mouth to scream but nothing came out. I forced myself to breath and focused all of my energy on getting whatever was causing this out of my mind. I heard something that sounded like laughter, and as quickly as it had came the feeling was gone. I was shaking from the horror of it.
No one seemed to have noticed what happened to me. Their attention was still focused on Naraku. I forced myself to do the same.
Inuyasha took another swing at Naraku, and as soon as the blade touched him, Naraku disintegrated. All that was left was a little statue with a hair wrapped around it. " A puppet again!" Shippo complained.
" Yes, but something is wrong." Miroku said. " Naraku was far to easy to find. He must have purposely led us to this puppet."
" Yeah, and your point is?" Inuyasha asked rudely.
" He didn't accomplish anything by leading us here." Miroku answered.
" Your right." Kagome exclaimed. " the puppet didn't even try to hurt us."
I really wanted to tell them what happened to me. But instead I just let them discuss what had happened. I thought I must be crazy, plus whatever it was hadn't seemed to affect me in any way. I couldn't explain what had happened to me. It was to weird. And they probably wouldn't believe me anyway.
------------------------------------------------
Inuyasha was tired from the battle. Usually he made himself stay awake most of the night to keep watch. But that night after everyone else was asleep he allowed himself to follow their example. And when he awoke a few hours later, Katsu was once again gone.
-----------------------------------------------
Miles away in the middle of a fog filled forest walked a woman. Her eyes were glazed over, and she had a lost expression on her face.
She walked purposely through the forest, occasionally turning to the left or to the right, but she always kept up a steady pace. Finally after walking for hours, she stepped out of the forest and faced her destination.
A huge castle. Parts of it were shrouded from view by a thick purple fog. The girl kept on walking up to the castle and through the doors that opened of their own accord. She walked through a maze of hallways and corridors, until she came into a large empty room. On one side there was a mat on the floor. A man rose from it. He had long black wavy hair and magenta colored eyes. His face stretched into a evil smile. " So you have come Katsu." He said in a low voice.
The lost expression on the woman's face did not change, but her mouth moved to form the words: " Yes, master Naraku."

Authors notes. Sorry it took me so long to make that chapter, but this week has been the first one in a two months that I haven't been freaking out trying to get everything done. And because of that I have been rather lazy this week. Please review, and I'll try to make the next chapter as quickly as I can.
