Episode 8: Sinister

(Night)

I decided to get out of Amanda's head for a little while, and go explore this beach city that she lives in. I get bored at the show sometimes. Oh, I forgot to mention, this isn't you regular amanda. This is the show version, and you're my audience.

Anyway

As I was walking down the board walk, I saw lights in the sky, and they were all different colors. I could hear the faint sound of music and the roars of the crowd. I began to walk in that direction. All the shops and restaurants were closed, that's how I like it. I've always liked the night. It was breezy, nothing was open, and it left so much to the imagination. The waves of the ocean are completely different at night then they are in the daylight. At night they are calm, but deadly. But the funny thing about drowning in the ocean at night is, you feel like you could float forever. I've drowned once, and it was an amazing feeling.

The blue color engulfs you; your hair is floating; everything is just so amazing. The fish are calm too, even better. The ocean in the daylight just messes everything up. The waves are too frantic and drowning just feels like you're in danger. Then a random person has to come and save you, it's just a hassle. Luckily, I don't have to worry about that.

(Time Skip)

As I walked into the party, I saw a crowd full of people with different color glowsticks. The music was loud, but it wasn't bad. The people looked so happy. As I walked further into the party, someone bumped into me.

?: "Hey, watch where you're go-, well hello baby girl. Care for a dance."

Amanda: "No."

?: "Well, you look like a cool person. You don't deserve to dance with those lame people over there."

Amanda: "Who are you again?"

?: "Well, my name is Kevin. But you can call me: Kevin the Great."

Amanda: "Well kevin, I don't dance with jerks. Go pick up someone else."

He could only scoff as I walked away. As I started to dance, I began to get lost in the music. Alcohol would be great right now, but I can tell this isn't that kind of party. I didn't feel alive, but I do feel like I needed to get away for a while. My arms were in the air, my hips were swaying, my body was rolling, and everything felt fucking fantastic.

A different song started to start, and as I opened my eyes, I saw that everyone was looking at me. I only chucked. Their eyes looked as if they were gazing, gazing in astonishment.

Amanda: "I take it, you've never seen someone dance like that?"

When those words came out of my mouth, the gaze was broken. A few of the boys shook their heads to start focusing again. They also started to blush a little.

Cute

As I walked off in another direction, I could feel a pair of eyes staring at me. I looked in that direction and found a short purple person, or shall I say gem. Amethyst. I sauntered over to her, almost in a seductive manner. When I stopped in front of her, she could only stare. Maybe It was my dress that got her looking.

Amanda: "Hi amethyst."

Amethyst: "Woah dude, I didn't know you could dance like THAT."

A laugh erupted from my throat.

Amanda: "There's a lot of things you don't know about me."

Amethyst: "I mean, you looked so graceful even with your body swaying in different directions. I've never seen anyone dance like that. I guess that's why everybody was staring."

Amanda: "Including you."

Amethyst turned her head while scratching her neck. She mumbled a 'yeah' and was blushing. I put 2 fingers under her chin and turned her head so that she could face me. I was kind of close to her face as I did this. When her eyes met mine, her face kinda twisted in confusion. She was checking my facial features, and she noticed that I looked a twinge bit different from regular boring amanda.

Amethyst: "Dude, you look different than before."

I know

I then pulled her in for a kiss. She melted into it like ice cream, and oddly enough, she tasted like grape. The kiss was slow and sensual, like it had so much meaning. We looked as if we've been a couple for 2 years. That's how passionate it seemed. But the truth is, I didn't feel a single thing. Sure, I may have looked like it, but there's a difference between looking like it and feeling like it.

As I pulled away, amethyst just looked at my smirking face in shock. Then she brushed over her lips with her fingers.

Amethyst: "Y-you kissed me."

Amanda: "I know. Did you like it?"

I really didn't need her opinion, but it was just fun to ask.

Amethyst: "Y-yeah."

Amanda: "Good."

Those were the last words I said before I gave her a wink and walked out of the building. And that's how you do it. Call me evil, but it was entertaining. Just by the look on her face, I could tell she wanted more. That's the funny thing about getting drunk off emotions, especially the exotic ones. Take kissing for instance, that's a form of love. I enacted the kiss, but I didn't mean it. Amethyst obviously felt something, she's the type to catch feelings quickly. I can tell. Love is so exotic to the point that it could kill. It's like alcohol. Faking passionate things like is not that hard. For some, it's difficult. For others, it's easy. For me, it's natural.

(Time Skip)

As I was walking along the beach, the water brushed up against me. I looked down at the ground and I saw a shadow of myself. I then looked up and saw the moon. It was big, bright, and just purely magnificent. But it wasn't enough. I wanted to see the moon's light beaming down on the water lightly. I wanted to get lost in the calm and deadly waters on the ocean. So, that's exactly what I did. I started to walk in the water until I was fully under. I didn't swim, I just let myself float. I didn't need to hold my breath or go back up for air, I just floated. I could feel my body descend lower and lower into the blue abyss. But it was slow.

I could stay like this for hours, but then the beautiful night would end. I opened my eyes and saw just what I wanted to see, the moon's light ever so slightly shining through. Blue and white fusing together to make this wonderful sight. As much as I love to see this, I wanted to have more fun. I wanted to dance. Sometimes, I love to dance with someone under the water. I used to do it all the time a few years ago, so why not now.

With a snap of my finger, a man appeared in front of me. He had on a pair of burgundy dress pants, he was barefoot, and he was shirtless. His electric blue eyes looked at mine with such desire. He held his hand out for me to grab, and I grabbed it. We both looked at each other with smirks, he then instantly spun me around then we started dancing. Even though we were both floating, we danced like we were on flat ground. When he dipped me, he just stared at me. One of his hands that was in mine, gently came down and stroked my face. He lowered his head down, and he placed his lips on mine.

I kissed him back. His hand that was on my waist started to travel to the small of my back. He then pulled me back up so that we were both upright. He broke the kiss, then we started dancing again. One, two, three, one, two, three. He twirled me again. Then he started all over again. He was a true gentleman.

We were just two people who wanted to dance under the water, with the moon shining lightly above us. The kiss, the looks at each other, passionate dancing, it was all just fun. Nothing serious. And nothing romantic. In some people eyes it was just

Fucked up fun

(Time Skip)

Once I got out of the ocean, I snapped my fingers, and I was instantly dry. That's the great thing about being in between real and not real. Like I said, consequence free. I then heard a click of a camera, as I turned in the direction of the click, I noticed a man. He had on a shirt with flames at the bottom of it. His hair was also shaped like french fries. Then I realized who it was. Ronaldo.

He began to walk in my direction, eventually stopping in front of me.

Ronaldo: "Did you just drown then come back to life?"

Amanda: "No, I was alive the whole time."

Ronaldo: "Woah, then you must be a mermaid or an undead mermaid. An 'Unmaid'. I have got to post save this for my project. Would you mind if I interviewed you?"

Amanda: "Yes I would mind, and I'm not a mermaid."

'This idiot'

I turned around and started to walk away. But apparently, he couldn't take the hint that I was done with that dumb conversation. He also kept taking pictures of me and asking me questions.

Amanda: "Stop following me."

Ronaldo: "I can't believe I'm in the presence of an actual mermaid."

I turned around once more and grabbed the boy by his throat. He instantly started to lose air.

Amanda: "Understand and understand me well boy, stop following and taking pictures of me. What I can do is none of your concern. So, unless you want to be choked to death and seen laying lifeless on the beach, I suggest you back the fuck off."

He nodded his head a little then began slipping out of consciousness, but right before that happened, I let go of his puny neck. He fell to his knees, coughing endlessly as he tried to regain his breath. I then walked away, but not before I snapped my fingers, and his phone was shattered into a million pieces.

I paid no mind to the whimpers her let out as I headed back to Amanda's house. I think she'll be glad to see me again. As I opened the door, I realized all the lights in the house were off. I shrugged as I turned them back on. I started to get a taste for alcohol, and I'm not talking about wine. I went to the liquor cabinet and grabbed the bottle of scotch. Don't ask me how I know she keeps scotch.

I placed the bottle of the kitchen island and went upstairs to Amanda's room. I opened the door and I immediately saw amanda's sleeping form. I walked up to her side of the bed and began to shake her awake. She groaned, but eventually started to stir. Her eyes fluttered for a moment before they finally opened. Once she realized who it was hovering above her, she jolted back, headed the headboard.

Amanda: "W…what are you doing here?!"

'Ugh, I'm so sick of hearing that question'

Show Amanda: "Is that the only word that flies out of your mouth when you see me? It's starting to get annoying."

Amanda: "Do you realize what time it is?"

Show Amanda: "Yes, I do, but that's why I woke you up. You're coming downstairs to have a drink with me."

Amanda: "And why would I do that?"

Show Amanda: "Because if you don't, I'll drag you myself."

Amanda: "Fine, I'll drink with you."

Show Amanda: "Good"

I headed back downstairs and into the kitchen, waiting for her. She eventually came down and entered the kitchen. She looked hesitant, like I was going to do something.. I smirked at her before I turned around and grabbed some glasses. I grabbed the glasses and set them down on the counter next to the scotch, ready to pour.

Amanda: "I take it we're drinking scotch, how classic."

Show Amanda: "The classics never go out of style, especially for an occasion like this."

I began to pour amanda's and myself a glass.

Amanda: "And what occasion would you call this again?"

Show Amanda: "A night drink. But by the way you're looking, it might turn into a horror show."

I handed her glass over to her, and I took a swig of my drink.

Amanda: "I see your ability to be cruel hasn't hindered your humor."

Show Amanda: "You know it."

She paused for a moment before she asked me another question.

Amanda: "Have you been out all night?"

I took another sip from my drink. I then slowly turned my head in her direction. By the look in her eyes, I could tell she was serious.

Show Amanda: "When will you learn that I don't have to tell you anything?"

She then took a sip from her drink, then she let out a frustrated sigh.

Amanda: "Why must you be so difficult?"

I only looked at her with amusement before I gave her an answer.

Show Amanda: "Are you always this nosey? When you were younger, I don't remember you being so nosey. I guess everything really does get worse with age."

Amanda: "You must be referring to yourself. When I was younger, you weren't like this."

Show Amanda: "Oh. My. God. Can you just stop."

Amanda harshly put her drink down and marched to where I was standing, then she stood in front of me. She looked angry.

Amanda: "Are you kidding me right now? You think that you can just waltz in my house, wake me up, and think that you can have a drink with me like everything's fine?!"

I turned around and poured my some more scotch, then turned back around to face her. At this point, I could care less about what she's saying.

Amanda: "I don't know if you know this, but I have feelings too you know! You just keeping screwing everything up. It takes a lot for me just to get up in the morning. Knowing you exist scares me, and you want to know why?! It's because, I don't know what either of us might do. Part of me believes that your still my best friend, but another part of me just wants this to be all over. I hang out with my friends and family so that I can erase those thoughts. Like I said, my friends and family are part of the reason why I am who I am today, and I couldn't be more grateful. So, fuck off!"

I broke out into a fit of laughter.

Show Amanda: "Nice speech, truly! But there's just one problem, I don't give a damn about you."

Amanda: "What?"

Show Amanda: "Well don't sound so flabbergasted, you knew this. You just chose to live in your own delusional world. I'll admit, I get stuck there too sometimes, but I pull myself right back out. You… you just bought a fucking house there. Tell me, is it a fixer upper.

She could only sit and listen.

Show Amanda: "The day I met you, I started playing you like a violin. Each time you got older; I added more instruments until it became one big orchestra. And guess what? The orchestra is never gonna stop playin no matter how many friends you invite to the show. In my opinion, I don't think that I'm friendly material. A penny for your thoughts?"

Amanda stayed silent, while I took a swig of my drink.

Show Amanda: "This scotch is really good; you should get some more."

Amanda: "Why do you have to make everything into a game? Why can't you just by normal?"

Show Amanda: "You make it seem like I'm just like you. Same personality, same interests, same everything."

Amanda: "I'm not saying anything like th-"

Show Amanda: "Yes you are. Can you look me in my eyes and tell me what a normal person looks like?"

Amanda: "No."

Show Amanda: "Exactly. Everybody isn't always normal, so I'm just trying to figure out why would you think of me that way. Hypocrite."

Amanda: "Excuse me?"

Show Amanda: "Cut the bullshit amanda. You are not normal, you may live your life as such, but I see through your façade. Gosh, you know sometimes it's hard to talk to you sometimes. One thing I hate in a person, is that they act like their whole life is about to end if they admit who they are."

I took the last swig of my drink before I refilled.

Amanda: "Who would've thought that you were the complex type."

Show Amanda: "What the fuck are talking about now?"

Amanda didn't say anymore after that.

Show Amanda: "Listen, I know who and what I am. I flaunt the good and the bad, but mostly the bad. If I didn't, then that would just set me up for disaster. And we can't have that now can we."

I gulped down the last bit of my scotch, then phased off, leaving amanda to look dumbfounded.

Hi, it's me. I'm not gonna lie, I had to rewrite parts of this chapter to get it to how I like. This may by a off the wall chapter, but hey, I tried.

P.S

I know it's past Halloween, but I'm going to put the chapter out anyway.

Toodles!
