Yazmina felt uncomfortable riding in the back of a vehicle. The van shook and rumbled as it drove down the narrow road. Yazmina clung to Bumpy, who groaned. Finding the inside of the vehicle as uncomfortable as she did. Kenji glanced back at them from the front.
"Yaz, you doing okay back there?" he asked.
"Black Dinosaurs stomach strange. Bounces around so much." Yazmina said.
Bumpy continued to groan as Yazmina held her tight in her arms.
"Don't worry, we should be at the genetics lab soon." Kenji said.
There was a static sound as Kenji's radio went off.
"Kenji, I'm tracking a ACU van on the move. Please tell me that's you." Mr. Kon said over the radio.
Kenji reached down and pulls the Radio from his belt.
"Hey, dad, it's me. We're on our way to the genetics lab!" Kenji said into the speaker.
"We?" Mr. Kon said.
"I'll explain later. Right now, we're on our way." Kenji said.
"Had a close call back there. There's some kind of strange dinosaur out here!"
"Listen to me, that dinasour you saw is called the Indominus Rex." Mr. Kon said.
"It's a Hybrid Dinosaur!"
"I thought you voted against doing that with the board." Kenji said.
"It doesn't matter. Just get to the lab as soon as possible. I'll meet you there." Mr. Kon said.
"No problem, Dad." Kenji said.
Placing his radio down over his belt, Kenji glanced back at Yamina and Bumpy, who continued to moan in the back.
"Can you get her to stop moaning back there?" Kenji asked.
The two then heard a familiar bellow from behind. Yazmina glanced back, where through the windows of the doorway, she saw the Indominus chasing after them.
"White Jaw behind!" Yazmina exclaimed in warning.
Kenji glanced out the side window, where he saw the Indominus rex behind them in the rear view mirror. It's jaws gaping wide.
"Hang on back there!" Kenji exclaimed.
Kenji turned the wheel as he swerved off the road just as the Indominus caught up to them. Yazmina started to panic as the crash started to come back to her. Memories of herself in the aircraft, clinging tightly to her seat. Hearing a strange voice telling her to hold on. Only to be snapped out of it by Kenji voice, saying the same thing.
"Yaz, hold on!" Kenji said.
Kenji turned hard off the road as the Indominus failed to attack. Plowing through the foliage, the van emerged from the jungle before crashing through the trees. Kenji quickly slammed on the brakes, slowing the van down before it crashed against the tree. Kenji gasped as he stood up in the driver seat.
"Yaz, you okay?" Kenji said.
He then cocked his head back at Yazmina, who was laying over the floor of the back of the van. She was scared stiff, shuddering as Bumpy tried to help her.
"Yaz?!" He exclaimed.
Kenji unbuckled himself as he hoped over the seat into the back. He came up to Yazmina.
"Yaz, Yaz, are you alright?" Kenji asked, shaking her shoulder.
Yazmina looked at Kenji, utterly terrified.
"K-Kenji?" Yazmina said.
"Don't worry, Yaz, I got ya, Yaz. He said, hoisting her arm over his shoulder.
Kicking open the back doors of the Van, the two emerged to find they arrived at the Genetics lab.
Kenji helped Yazmina inside the lab, finding a birthday cake with lit candles on it over a small cart. Kenji and Yazmina exchanged a curious glance to one another. When suddenly, a man wearing a lab coat suddenly emerged from behind the cake, shining a light at them. Only to come down upon seeing it was two kids.
"Not dinosaurs. This is the worst birthday ever." The Scientist sighed, leaning over the countertop.
Yazmina let go of Kenji's leg and walked to the cake, examining it curiously.
"I can't tell you how relieved I am to see you, man." Kenji said as he came up to the scientist.
"You two weren't followed, were you?" The scientist asked, rushing over to the door.
"Is that thing still out there?!"
Kenji glanced back at him.
"Uh, no."
"Are you sure?" The scientist asked.
Kenji exchanged a look back at Yaz and Bumpy, who were eating a piece of cake.
"I mean, we saw it a while ago. But we managed to get away." Kenji asked, curiously.
The scientist shifted his gaze to him. Only to then glanced back at Yazmina and Bumpy.
"Uh, what's the deal with the teenage jungle girl?" He asked, curiously.
Kenji glanced back at Yazmina, who was sniffing the cake, curiously. He then shook his head.
"Don't worry about her. She's... uh... just curious." Kenji insisted.
"Look, do you know what's going on?"
"The powder keg ignited that's what!" The scientist exclaimed to them.
Kenji and Yazmina gasped at the scientists sudden outburst.
"Instead of Dinosaurs, Wu started making monsters." The scientist continued to exclaimed
"And after all the work I did for the other guy, that jerk..."
"Wow, wow, wow, what do you mean monsters?" Kenji said.
"Mazrani wouldn't let that happen."
"Mazrani?" The Scientist exclaimed.
The man broke out into an insane laughter, earning the nervous glance from both Kenji and Yazmina. Kenji shook his head.
"Laughter aside, the park has a plan right." Kenji asked.
"We drove all the here to find..."
"Wait, drive...? You kids drove here?!" The scientist said before turned and stormed out of the lab, leaving a confused Kenji and Yaz.
Only for Kenji to gasp in realization.
"Oh, no!" Kneji said.
Yazmina followed Kenji as he raced out to the van. Racing out of the building, they saw the man rushing over to the van they drove here.
"Hey, he's stealing the van!" Kenji exclaimed.
Just as he was about to go after him, Yazmina attempted to go after him. Only to be stopped by Bumpy, who came up to her. Yazmina quickly slid to a stop.
"Bumpy?" Yazmina said.
Bumpy glanced up to her, groaning, seemingly panicked. Yamina gasped.
"White Jaw?" Yazmina said.
Just as Kenji had caught up to them, Yazmina tackled Kenji into some bushes. He landed over top of him as he glanced up to her.
"Yaz, what are you…?" Kenji asked.
Only to have Yazmina place her hand over his mouth, shushing him.
"Shh, White Jaws!" Yazmina asked.
Just as the scientist was about to start the engine, the indominus emerged from the foliage with a loud bellow. It charged the van just as the scientist turned and glanced out the passenger side window. The Indominus struck the side of the van with it's large head, knocking over the van. Where it the proceeded to ravage the vehicle.
Yazmia and Kenji watched in horror from the cover of the foliage. Hearing the screams of the scientist inside the vehicle. Yazmina grabbed hold of Kenji's hand, tugging on it.
"Come!" She said.
She then turned and pulled Kenji along into the jungle. The three plowed through the jungle, putting distance between them and the Indominus. They then emerged from the jungle, where they glanced back in the direction of the genetics lab. The sound of tearing metal and the bellows of the hybrid dinosaur.
Kenji took a deep breath and exhaled slowly, narrowing his head.
"I think we lost it." Kenji said.
The two suddenly heard a faint rustling sound from the nearby foliage. Yazmina glanced back and noticed something in the brush. It was coming toward them. Yazmina narrowed down as she readied herself for whatever was coming next.
Only to then see a kid the same age as them, wearing a white t-shirt and jeans with a dinosaur tooth around his neck. The kid brief a sigh of relief.
"Oh, thank god." He said.
"I've been looking all for help."
"Who are you?" Kenji asked, curiously.
"I'm Darius." He proclaimed.
"What are you guy's names?"
"I'm Kenji and this is Yazmina." Kenji said, glancing back at her.
Yazmina came up to Darius, who leaned back from her. The jungle girl then began to sniff him curiously. Darius leaned back from her, his eyes glancing from side to side. Feeling weird out by this girl who was smelling her.
"Uh, what is she...?" He asked,, glancing up to Kenji.
Kenji came up as he pulled Yazmina back from him.
"Sorry about that. She's uh... kind of wild." He said.
Darius glanced to them, curiously.
"Okay..." he said.
"Lucky you found us when you did." Kenji said.
"What are you doing out here by yourself?"
"I got lost from my tour group. Either of you know the way to the main park from here?" Darius asked.
"Blue Mountain?" Yazmina asked, curiously.
Kenji and Darius glanced to her, curiously.
"You know where the main park is?" Darius asked.
"Yazmina know where. Yazmina been there before." The Wild Girl proclaimed.
"We get there fast through trees."
"Let me first call my dad and tell him where we're heading." Kenji insisted to them.
The three heard the bellow of the Indominus nearby.
"I'll hurry." Kenji said as the four of the rushed into the foliage.
None of them knew that the electric fence were down and the dinosaurs were breaking out, including a vengeful Toro.
