Richard sat in his quarters. He thinks for a moment and begins writing something on a piece of paper. The scene fades to a young woman, her auburn hair braided and a dragon tattoo on her face. She's reading the letter and thinking back to times before. The scene shifts back to Richard as he walks through the halls of the Scaled Spectre.

Dear Madison I hope you know
That I'd start a war to free your smile

An image of Kaya, the woman, fades in to the side of Richard. She's standing on a balcony, the wind whipping through her hair as she stares out across the city. She turns slowly and heads back into the room, it looks as if it's her quarters. She picks up a letter and sighs. It looks like the same letter that Richard was writing.

I'd gladly stand and demand of a thousand red coats
Give me freedom or take my life

An X-wing fighter zooms by, with Richard in the pilot's seat. He's in combat with some TIE fighters and doing pretty well. Taking out one...then another, with support from the rest of the squadron. His thoughts shift to Kaya, with her running through the streets. There's a frantic expression on her face as she looks behind her and then she runs into something and falls flat on her butt.

So come with me and we'll be free on our own
Take my hand and we'll be fine

Kaya looks up, eyes wide as she tries to think. She had run into Richard who is now offering her his hand to help her up. She hesitates and then takes it.

I believe in simple explanations to these situations
But it may cost our lives
Madison I don't have all the answers
But I'll take my chances
We'll make it this time

Richard takes Kaya's hands in his and reassures her that he'll be back. Kaya shakes her head and gets ready to argue but Richard will have none of it. Richard waves to Kaya from the transport. He was leaving her at a school where he felt that she could stay out of trouble. Kaya sighs as she turns, and gets ready to move what she has into her quarters. She bites her lip and hazards a look back towards the transport as it take off.

Dear Madison is what I wrote
Cause for once all of this makes sense
I sit right here with the tears at the back of my throat
Yeah I believe in a little rebellion
I agree we're better off on our own
Take my hand and we'll be fine

Kaya is back in her room, the letter laying on her table as she begins packing her belongings. She glances out the window to see a ship launching from the spaceport. She nods resolutely to herself as she stuffs the last of it into her bag. She slings the bag over her shoulder and doesn't even look back as she leaves. She walks through the streets and looks at the people around her. There are so many different races. Her thoughts float to a way to find a transport to the Scaled Spectre.

I believe in simple explanations to these situations
But it may cost our lives

Kaya is standing at the Spaceport, talking to the captain of a transport. She looks from side to side and offers him some money and then he nods. She fully understands that there is no looking back now. She is leaving this life behind.

Madison I don't have all the answers
But I'll take my chances
We'll make it this time

Kaya arrives on the Scaled Spectre, eyes widen with curiosity at the bustling activity of the landing bay. She hurries out of the bay and off to find Richard.

Dear Madison I hope this finds you
And finds you well my friend
Cause now we're free and you will see
They'll never take that away

Kaya leaps into Richard's arms to say hello. There's a look of surprise but also happiness there. Now what the future holds for the two of them is unknown, but they'll be approaching it together.
