I don't own VA or any lyrics used. And for the record, I plan on doing every song lol

Midnights

Maroon

RPOV

"Preeeessss plaayyyy!" I sang to Lissa. She laughed and complied. I slid off of Dimitri's lap, so I was sandwiched between him and Lissa.

"We didn't get to do this with the last two," Lissa said, slightly sad. I nodded in agreement, squeezing her hand as the song played over the room. The second chorus made my chest tighten as I gazed back over at Dimitri as he listened intently.

And I lost you

The one

I was dancing with

In New York

No shoes

Looked up at the sky and it was

The burgundy on my tee shirt

When you splashed your wine onto me

And how the blood rushed into my cheeks

So scarlet, it was maroon

The mark you saw on my collarbone

The rust that grew between telephones

The lips I used to call home

He saw me looking at him and took my hand to kiss the back gently. I leaned into him once more as the bridge played.

And I wake with your memory

Over me

That's a real fucking legacy, legacy

Dimitri rubbed my back and kissed the side of my head once more as the song wrapped up and Lissa once again pressed pause.

"Are you sure you're not Taylor Swift, Rose?" she teased, nudging my shoulder.

"It was probably willow that first tipped you off," I nodded, solemnly before we both erupted into giggles as our boyfriends watched us with raised brows.

"Are you two going to be ok?" Dimitri asked, eyebrows furrowed in thought.

"NO!" Lissa and I shouted together.

"Miss Swift has reemerged once again to make us sorrow-filled school-girls, regardless of now being sorrow-filled college girls," I explained, dramatically.

"She's very relatable," Lissa added. "It really makes you feel all of the feelings."

"Do you think she'll finally tour again?" I asked suddenly, grabbing Lissa's arm. She squealed.

"If she does, no doubt it'll be a stadium one!" her excitement shown in her eyes. Christian cleared his throat.

"Do you think it's a good idea to take the queen of the entire vampiric world to a stadium concert?" he tried to reason. I glowered, mostly because he was right.

"We'd have to bring ninety percent of the royal guard, and a couple fire-users to be safe, but it really shouldn't be a problem," Dimitri pondered next to me. I turned to him in shock.

"I'm sorry," I placed my hand on his forehead, checking for a fever. "Who the hell are you and what have you done with my man?" He chuckled.

"You and Lissa still deserved to have fun sometimes," he told me, eyes locked to mine. "And there are safe ways to do it."

"The royal guard wouldn't be happy," Lissa grimaced.

"Isn't the queen's happiness more important?" I teased, her green eyes snapped to mine.

"No," she said firmly. "We would have to compile a list of guards that wouldn't mind going. And you would be off duty and simply there as my friend." She tapped my nose to drive her point home. I smiled at her.

"This is a hypothetical tour at the moment," I reminded her. She beamed at me.

"Best to have a plan, in case it doesn't turn out to be hypothetical." I couldn't help but grin back at her at the thought of doing something as normal as going to a concert with her.
