Proton let out a large sigh as he unlocked the door to his condo. His golf game had been nothing but a bust yet again, after his coming out about his younger male lover. Sure, his close friends didn't give a damn, but many of those around them, including family members did. Especially, because he'd pushed away his wife that just fought off cancer. Little did they know he risked losing his current lover completely to aid her in her recovery. Those people wouldn't care if he'd even gave his own soul to save her now that he'd left her. He was the cancer in their mind now that he finally embraces his true self, he never thought that he'd ever be able to be. They only saw his, and Randy's, age difference. And that they were the same sex. They were degenerates... perverts. They type to hind your children, and pets, from because they'd do anything just to get a taste.
"That which you don't understand must be evil..." Proton thought as he drove home, but found it not being totally lost on himself. There was a lot of evil in the world that was trying to be played out as normal, and he disagreed with it whole heartedly. He disagreed with a lot of what the so-called gay agenda stood for, not that that was even near half of the filth trying to take over the world. "I just want be happy with my fellow adult partner privately. Leave us alone. I don't want to be seen for that. And I don't WANT to be known for that. That isn't who I fucking am! It's merely one of the many pieces of myself." Proton seethed to himself. "We're not hurting anyone! We're not pushing our ways on anyone!"
Proton than thought of Randy's unborn child. As both of his own children where already grown, so this sat on him a bit different. "Should we lie to them until they are older?" He wondered. "Is it ok if we are chastely open about our love for one another?" He wasn't sure as all the ideas played through his head as he shut the front door and tossed his keys and wallet on the end table in the entry way.
"Randy?!" Proton yelled more in panic than anger as he walked into the living room to find his lover nearly naked on the living room floor mumbling to himself.
"No!" Randy managed to call back in a cry of panic while trying to crawl farther into the wall his head was already pressed against. Only to give up in less than ten seconds and dropping on his belly and moaning in agony. "No..." He whined a little more while now lightly crying.
"What on Earth?" Proton asked as he looked at his boyfriend, completely shit face, like he hadn't seen him in over a year. "Why?!" He now demanded, yet knowing full well the other man likely couldn't answer at the moment. He wanted to let that fact hold back his anger, but knew full well it wouldn't. Likely he'd leave Randy in the living room, on his belly, like a pathetic beast... like so many times before. "He was doing so well. How did I go wrong? How did I let him down?" Proton asked himself knowing no matter what he did in the end... Randy was going to do what Randy wanted to do... no matter who it hurt. "You have a child to think of Randy!" Proton shouted before making his way to the master bedroom and slamming the door. Rehab was now a MUST in the elder male Electro's eyes.
"Help." Randy barely breathed while laying his face on the hardwood floor below him. He was beyond the point of knowing what was going around him. Yet still was coherent enough to feel his own suffering. Even he if he couldn't recall it after waking up, but that would still be holding a world of pain for him, as sober Randy well knew.
Proton was shocked to see Randy wide awake settled into the couch and staring off blankly. It was 5 in the morning on Sunday, and the younger man had been seemingly to the point of brain damaged from drinking at 7 o'clock the night before.
The older squirrel pushed off the still smothering coals of his anger, in his mind, from the night before as he opted out of going in the kitchen to make coffee, and confront his lover. His seemingly unavoidable altercation never manifested as Proton just took a set next to Randy. He too looked ahead off into nothing... hoping like hell his boyfriend would try to defend his actions, but he knew that was highly unlikely as Randy was never one to peddle in bullshit.
"Was it worth it?" Proton asked casually in reference to the youngers over-the-top relapse from the night before.
"My folks said I'm dead to 'em. But..." Randy let out his long breath quickly as Proton looked at him with heavy sympathy that wasn't there even a second before. "I think I was always dead ta 'em, anyway."
"Randy! I'm so sorry!" Proton moved closer to his boyfriend, who was only in his underwear, and pulled him in close to try an comfort him. "I had no idea. Please forgive my ignorance." The older squirrel kissed the younger on the cheek while petting his head and back. "My God... I'm so sorry." Randy leaned into his lover and stayed silent as he was hungover badly and still unsure of how to feel because of being so numb for some many reasons. "I'm so sorry." Proton whispered again while holding Randy tight.
"It's ok." Randy sighed back to his lover as he lightly held onto him. "At least I still got you." He mumbled as if not sure if that was really true.
"Always!" Proton reassured Randy as he moved in to kiss his lips before nuzzling his snot between his check and neck. "We'll always have each other." He continued to press before kissing on his boyfriend's neck, as he knew full well it was one of the youngers man favorite forms of foreplay from his older lover.
"Sorry I got drunk last night." Randy apologized between light moans.
Proton repositioned himself so the two men's foreheads were pressed together while they continued to cuddle. "I thought you were going to wait to talk to your parents until I was home to support you." The older squirrel questioned seemingly shocked his boyfriend opted to take on such a stressful task alone.
"I didn't want ta bring ya down, plus..." Randy tailed off before letting out a sad laugh. "We both know I'd just end up drinking after it either way, and I thought it'd be better if I was bad before you were home ta save us on just one more fight." Randy looked down while Proton still held him close to comfort him.
"I would have preferred the chance to try and save you from your vise, but I completely understand you wanting privacy when confronting your family on this matter. I'm just sorry I wasn't here to aid you. To reinforce that you're important and needed in my life. I'm so sorry that being with me has caused you so much turmoil, in your own life."
"You are muh life, babe." Randy lightly stated as he glanced at his boyfriend and smiled softly before the older man pulled him in aggressively for a taste of his mouth.
"As you are mine!" Proton proudly spoke loudly before pulling Randy in again for a shameless make out session.
