At The Hazbin Hotel
Charlie's POV
Two months passed since the hotel received its makeover and new name. Business was going well or so I thought.
"Damn it" I muttered seeing the bills for this month.
"Bad?" Vaggie asked looking up from her paperwork. I nodded and showed her my calculations.
"F**k" my girlfriend swore. "We don't have the money to pay those amounts"
I slammed my head against the desk. If we didn't pay what was owed the hotel could be closed permanently. Since Alastor's makeover and Nyssa's arrival, we had a few patrons. But it wasn't enough to make ends meet for this month.
"What are we going to do?" Vaggie wondered.
Nyssa's POV
"WHAT THE F**K?!" I roared and I literally sent fire everywhere.
The entire patio area was now covered with ash and smoke due to my outburst. I had just finished watching the last episode of Game of Thrones and the ending sucked. A door opened and out peered a worried Charlie and Vaggie.
"You okay Nyssa? You sounded mad" Charlie asked coming over to me.
"As well as scorching the patio too, it's a good thing the furniture is fireproof" Vaggie added.
My skin and hair returned to normal.
"Yeah, I'm fine just pissed at how one of my favorite shows ended" I confessed. Niffty chose that moment to appear.
"Oh man, this patio is a mess!"
The adorable cyclops demon began to clean like no tomorrow and I couldn't help but smile at her. I then noticed Charlie and Vaggie's demeanors.
"What's up? You two looked worried about something"
Charlie sighed before showing me the amount of money needed for the hotel to be kept up and running.
"Holy crap that is a lot"
"And we only have a short time period to earn those funds" Vaggie explained. "Even with Alastor's upgrades"
"Sounds like we need a meeting"
Vaggie groaned and Charlie agreed. An hour later we were waiting in the hotel's meeting room reserved for staff. Husk was dealing with a hangover and Niffty was dusting the room. All who was left to appear were Angel and Alastor. Despite being a partner with Charlie the Radio Demon had other things to tend to. Angel decided to be a member of staff for the hell of it. I think the main reason was to meet cute demons. No demon had caught my interest since arriving here except for Alastor.
Whenever he entered the room my heart would pound like a damn drum and I did my best to keep my composure. But damn it the Radio Demon was hot and now I was having dreams about him too.
"Hey sorry about being late" Angel apologized entering the meeting room out of breath.
"Had a date?" I teased the spider demon with a grin. Instead of getting mad, Angel smirked and I only chuckled.
"Just where is that jerk?" Vaggie growled referring to Alastor.
No sooner had she said those words did the Radio Demon make himself known.
"I've been called worse my dear"
Both Charlie and Vaggie jumped since Alastor had been behind him.
"Alastor remember what I said about not sneaking up on people?" I reminded him.
The last time he did that he pissed off the demon he spooked.
"It's a habit dear now what is the purpose of this meeting?"
Charlie showed Angel and Alastor the paperwork.
"Shit! How the f*"k are we gonna earn that sort of money?!" the spider demon yelled.
"With the right motivation of course" was Alastor's response. Sometimes I wish his smirk wasn't so freaking sexy.
"Oh ya? And what sort of motivation did you have in mind wise guy?" Husk growled.
"Something that will draw attention to the hotel of course!"
I then had a light bulb moment.
"What about a show or event of some sort?" I suggested.
"You mean like a concert or something?" Vaggie wondered.
"Something like that" I then flashed Alastor a smirk of my own. "Said Radio Demon has a sense of humor and I'm sure if it was advertised demons will be swarming to see him"
"I have to agree with you on that one" Charlie added before looking to Alastor. "What do you think?"
"I think it's a splendid idea!" Alastor replied with enthusiasm. "But I shouldn't be the only one to draw in attention"
"I could do a performance of my own" Angel suggested seductively moving his eyebrows.
"No way" was Vaggie and Charlie's comeback.
Angel pouted for a minute before suddenly smiling at me.
"Nys, what about you singing or playing an instrument?"
Not that wasn't a bad idea at all.
"I'm on board with that but that alone won't raise the funds needed"
"How about adding a win-a-date option?"
Everyone looked to Niffty when she said that.
"Yes! Please yes!" I winced at Angel's enthusiasm.
"I can't believe I'm saying this but she's got a good point" Husk interjected.
"Well, then ladies what do you say to Niffty's idea?" Alastor inquired.
"It might just work but I'm not participating in the dating pool," Vaggie said firmly.
"Neither am I, but it's a good plan" Charlie added.
Alastor then shot me a look.
"Sure why the hell not? And I'll volunteer as tribute, or in better terms, I'll be a candidate for someone to win a date with"
Angel, Husk, and Niffty also wanted to be candidates. But to be on the safe side we would offer other spots for other potential candidates.
"Hey, Al what about you?"
Alastor only chuckled darkly. Meaning he had no desire to participate and I didn't blame him. He was a heartthrob for many demons alike. With the meeting concluded Charlie and Vaggie left to get to work.
"Ooh, I hope I find a nice guy or two" Angel notified me.
"Your always on the prowl for a boyfriend" I reminded the spider demon.
"True but you should be too Nys"
I was about to facepalm when Husk suddenly growled.
"Get off my tail"
"We can't help where we land fur ball!" a familiar voice scolded the cat demon.
I hurried to where Husk was and glaring back at him were Pain and Panic.
"What did you just call me you fatso?!"
"Fatso?! Look who's talking Kitty Cat!" Pain snapped.
"Nyssa!" Panic shrieked before he jumped into my arms and hugged me.
"Your Prettiness!" Pain added before he joined Panic in on the hug and I fell over. I laughed and hugged both imps back.
"Hey, Nys? Who are these two?"
"I'm Pain!"
"And Panic!"
The two of them then said in unison.
"Reporting for duty!"
"They're my Dad's minions" I answered Angel while shooting the two imps a grin. "Speaking of which what are you two doing here?"
"Your Dad wanted us out of the Underworld for a while, saying we were being useless" Panic explained.
"You look useless" Husk mumbled.
"HEY SHUT UP!" Pain spat at the cat demon.
"Rayne thought you might use some company hence why we're here" Panic continued.
"Well I'm glad you two are here I missed you"
"Aww we've missed you too Nyssa" Pain added with a blush.
"I'm outta here" Husk growled before leaving.
"I gotta clean some more but nice meeting you two"
The cyclops demoness had been eying Panic in interest.
"So your Hades' personal minions?"
Pain and Panic jumped and hid behind my legs when Alastor snuck up on them.
"Ya, what of it?" Pain griped. He and Panic were shaking in fright from the Radio Demon.
"Nothing it's just nice to see Nyssa has someone from her home to be with her"
That got me to blush and the imps noticed.
"Well, I must be going if we're going to pull off our events here at the hotel until then!"
And with a blink of an eye, Alastor was gone.
"Who was that?" Panic demanded.
"He's the Radio Demon"
"No shit! That's him?!" Pain yelled.
"Yep and Nyssa likes him"
I gave Angel a glare and the imps proceeded to wolf-whistle while I finally face-palmed.
