I'm home...at last...
With her brown hair whipping out behind her, Chocolat ran into the town. Her home, Palmacosta. She wove in and out of the crowd. She bolted straight to the item shop, throwing the door open.
"Mom?" She saw a woman standing behind the counter. Her brown hair was pulled back out of her lovely face, as she put the palma potion on the shelf behind her.
"Chocolat?" The woman stepped out from behind the counter, her eyes wide in surprise.
Chocolat threw herself at her mother, tears running down her face.
"Oh my Chocolat, you're safe. You're alive. Oh thank Martel." Cacao held her daughter tightly as they both shed tears of joy. After so many moons, they were finally reunited.
"How ever did you get away?"
Chocolat wiped her tears away, looking up at her mother. "The Chosen came and saved me. Her and her companions...and...Lloyd."
Cacao saw her daughter's pained expression and frowned. "Chocolat, The Chosen and her companions told me about grandmother. Lloyd had no choice but to. The Desians turned her into a monster. What was he to do? Let her run around and kill others? You know Marble never would have wanted that. What he did may sound horrible, but it was for the best. And then he saved you. You owe him your life..."
"Yes..yes, you're right, but...I miss grandma."
"I know, me too. But now, the Chosen will save Sylvarant. We will all be saved."
"Yes, she will save the world." Stepping out of her mother's grasp, Chocolat glanced around the store.
"How has business been?"
"Sales have dropped. There have not been any visitors since the Governor-General..." Cacao stopped.
"What happened to Dorr?"
"Dorr...is dead." Chocolat gasped. "He was secretly working with the Desians the whole time. Neil is the new Governor-General."
"Dorr was working with...the Desians...? How could he? We all trusted him."
"I know. But Neil has done a good job of taking over. He is a fair, kind leader. We must have faith in him."
"I know. So many things have happened since the Tower of Salvation appeared in the sky. Horrible things. When will it stop?"
"When the Chosen regenerates the world. Then things will be wonderful for us all."
The ground shook slightly as Chocolat launched herself at her mother.
"What's going on?!"
A scream was heard from outside. The ground jolted underneath mother and daughter as they heard more screams.
"Mom!"
"Don't worry. The Chosen will save us. Martel will keep us safe."
Tears appeared in Chocolat's eyes as she hugged her mother. "I love you mom."
"I love you too, my Chocolat."
The whole building shook as they fell to the ground, trying to find shelter. A crack appeared in the brick wall of the house. Chocolat screamed as the roof above them fell.
Her last thought was a prayer to Martel, asking for help. Then all went black.
Author's Note: Sad? Yes I know. I just thought as I played the game, wouldn't it be ironic if just as Chocolat got back to Palmacosta,just as the town was destroyed. Wouldn't that suck?? By the way, when Palmacosta is destroyed, does everyone in the town die?? Cacao, Chocolat, Neil, and everyone? That'd be sad. Poor Neil...he was cute, though I kinda sensed a homosexually thing between him and Dorr. Do you remember 'The Chosen destroyed the ranch for us'? Hehehe...Oh Neil...
