Author's note: The time has come, everybody! The Hero's Rumble is here!
"Your attention, ladies and gentlemen! We are about to arrive at our destination! Make sure to pick up all of your belongings and hold your kids by the hand. Thank you all for flying with Air Olympus today!"
The loud voice snapped Logan out of his thoughts. Looking out the window, he could indeed see that he was finally arriving at his destination. As soon as the doors opened, he grabbed his sports bag and stepped out of the Greek carriage being pulled by pegasi, and onto the ground made of clouds. Logan walked past breathtaking pieces of Greek architecture, most of them being statues of legendary gods, goddesses and heroes, until, at last, he arrived in front of the gigantic stadium where he was expected.
The Olympus Coliseum.
Even seen from the outside, the sight of the famous place of birth for many heroes brought a smile to Logan's face. It was still pretty early - Logan had awakened when it was still dark to get ready for the competition - but there already was a long line of people, both guests and characters, that stretched from the stadium's entrance and far beyond Logan's sight. Each one of those people came to watch the Hero's Rumble, which potentially could be the event of the year.
"And I'm gonna be the one to win it," Logan silently mumbled to himself. Temporarily pulling his sports bag down, he used his Magical Sketchbook to turn into his cute snowy owl form and flew all the way up to the top of the coliseum's wall. From there, he had a perfect view over everything inside. The Olympus Coliseum had changed quite a bit alright: the usually small, square-shaped arena from Kingdom Hearts had been turned into a circular one that had a pit as big as the Sorcerer's Arena's and with enough place for at least 20,000 watchers. The stands were slowly getting filled up with the same fans Logan saw lined up at the entrance. "Yup, this looks very much like the Sorcerer's Arena Tournament," he mused to himself before flying back down.
After retrieving his sports bag, Logan walked around the coliseum and headed for the entrance that was reserved for the participants. Just as he took his ticket out of his pocket, a voice called him from behind: "Hey! Logan!" He turned around to see four figures coming his way.
"Destiny? Della? Jim? Scott? What are you guys doing here?" Logan asked as his friends approached him. "Did you come to watch the event?"
"Yes, but most importantly, we came to support you," Della answered as she took the young man's hands with hers. "How are you feeling?"
"I'm not sure." Logan stared down at himself. "My heart is beating fast and my body's trembling a little bit. Not sure if it's by fear or anticipation... Maybe a little of both?"
Jim placed a hand on his friend's shoulder. "Don't be afraid, Logan. I may not know who else will be taking part in this competition, but I'm sure that if you play your cards correctly, then you can come out victorious." The young space marine smiled a little bit. "There was a time I, too, believed I wasn't good enough to accomplish anything, but then, Captain John Silver believed in me and helped me overcome my self-doubt. That's how I become a soldier of the space marines."
"He's right; sometimes, all it takes to succeed is determination and friends to back you up," Scott nodded in agreement. "Most of the MCU fans think I'm the Avengers' joke, but how many times did I prove them wrong? I'm planning on doing it again soon, for my upcoming movie."
Taking her boyfriend by the cheek, Destiny kissed him on the lips. "Just promise you won't do like what happened in the Magical World Grand Prix; give your best and make sure to have fun for all your time in the competition, okay?"
Logan shook his head. "No, Destiny; this time, it's different. I'm tired of only receiving credit for having great teachers like Master Yen Sid or Riku, and being the only Dream Defender who has yet to accomplish anything remarkable on his own. Remember what Rachel told me: I have to stop feeling sorry for myself and making excuses for receiving good participation rewards." He gave his friends a bright, determined smile. "Just you watch! Today's the day I actually win something for myself without having to rely on Gabriel, Rachel, or anyone else! No matter what I have to go through, I will leave this coliseum a different man than the one I am right now. It's my time to shine and prove to everyone that I deserve to be a Dream Defender!"
All four of them stared at Logan with a smile; they had never seen him so confident and determined. "Yeah, that's the spirit!" Della beamed, giving Logan a friendly punch on the shoulder. "Go out there and show everyone in the Magical World what you're made of! I'll be cheering for you the loudest!"
Everybody walked away, except for Destiny. "You're sure you're ready for it, Logan? Not a single piece of doubt in your mind?" the anthropomorphic whale asked her boyfriend for good measure.
"Don't worry, Destiny; I've been preparing for this day for the last months," Logan replied. "With all the new tricks I learned, this competition better have some strong guys to stop me. And this time, I will not succumb to my inner darkness... Like I did during the MWGP and during our fight with Data Roxas. This time, I'll do things right, I promise." Rising a thumb's up, the young man gave his girlfriend a reassuring smile.
"That's fine by me, then." Destiny exchanged one last kiss with Logan before turning around. "Have fun out there, and be careful!"
Now more pumped up than before, Logan turned to face the coliseum, his facial features twisted by determination. "Alright, time to go claim my big moment!" He made his way to the participants' entrance, presented his ticket, and was then allowed to enter the building.
A few hours later, the Olympus Coliseum was filled to the rim with watchers, all of them excited for the event to begin. Zeus (the animated Disney movie version of the character) suddenly appeared with a strike of lightning on a platform made specifically for him on the upper levels of the coliseum, from where he would be able to see everything. "Ladies, gentlemen, children of all ages, I, Zeus, ruler of Olympus and God of thunder and skies, welcome all of you to the Olympus Coliseum!" he thundered, receiving cheers and claps from the crowd in response.
"We are gathered here today for a very special event that is sure to be remembered for ages to come: the Hero's Rumble! But before we begin, let's make a quick run through the rules once again: forty of the bravest, strongest, most courageous warriors of the Magical World will compete in an intense struggle to see who deserves to be called the greatest of them all!" Zeus once again marked a pause to let the crowd cheer. "In just a few moments, the participants who drew the entry numbers one and two will make their way into the fighting pit, and the Hero's Rumble will begin! Then, from that moment on, every three minutes, another participant enters, and the match continues! Elimination occurs when a participant is projected outside the fighting zone that is delimited by this red, magic barrier you see on the rim of the pit! The last participant remaining in the zone after all forty individuals have entered will be declared the winner and earn the right to call himself or herself the Champion of the Magical World! Of course, he or she will also receive a special reward to serve as proof of the accomplishment. Show them, Hephaestus!"
The Greek God of Blacksmiths stepped next to his fellow Greek God with an object in his arms that was covered by a sheet. Removing said sheet, he held the item high above his head for all to see. Some angels flew near with cameras to show the item on a temporary magical screen above the arena to those who were too far to properly see. A championship belt like those you usually see either in combat sports or pro wrestling. The strap was made of the highest quality leather with five plates on it, the biggest one located in the very middle being made of gold and having Disney Castle marked onto it with the Disney logo just below the castle. Other plates included one made of sapphire that had the Pixar Lamp marked into it, a ruby one with the Marvel logo, a topaz one with the 20th Century Fox logo into it, and an emerald one with the Lucasfilm logo.
Everybody in the coliseum let out cheers and gasps of amazement. A magnificent belt fit for the one who would deserve to call himself the best combatant of the Magical World. "Now, without any further due, we will discover who drew the entrance numbers one and two!" Zeus announced as Hephaestus walked away with the title belt. "Everybody watching, LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE!"
Once the next cheers died down, everybody remained silent whilst looking at the fighting pit's entrance, eager to discover who would be the first one to enter the match.
('My Last Breath' by Evanescence)
As the song began, the lights were turned off, plunging most of the arena in the dark. A countdown of black numbers on a purple background starting from 10 appeared on the titantron (the huge screen above the pit's entrance). It ended at the same moment the hard part of the song kicked in, and then went from 1 to 10 in rhythm before exploding and becoming 'Logan Jindrak'.
The audience exploded in cheers as they recognized the name of the Dream Defender who saved their world in the past. A spotlight shone on a female snowy owl who appeared near the pit's entrance. She opened her beak and started singing.
Female owl:
Hold on to me love
You know I can't stay long
All I wanted to say was
I love you and I'm not afraid, ooooh!
Before she could sing the next lyrics, a figure walked through the pit's entrance; nobody could see who it was due to a combination of the white towel covering its head and shoulders and the lack of light. It made its way to the female owl and firmly stood next to her as she resumed singing.
Female owl:
Can you hear me?
Can you feel me in your arms?
As soon as the song kicked in, the arena came to life with snow-white lights as the figure removed its sheet, revealing none other than Logan himself! The young Dream Defender was clad in his outfit that allowed him to use Drive Forms, with his headband, shorts and even Anubis' Khopesh strapped to his hip. He pushed motivated screams at the audience as he started making his way toward the fighting zone.
Female owl:
Holding my last breath
Safe inside myself
Are all my thoughts of you
Sweet raptured light,
It ends here tonight!
Instead of directly entering the fighting zone, Logan used his Magical Sketchbook to turn into a little snowy owl and started flying over the stands to exchange high-five with the fans. He even got to encounter some of his friends of the past, such as Luz Noceda or Jack Russel.
Female owl:
I'll miss the winter
A world of fragile things
Look for me in the white forest
Hiding in a hollow tree (come find me)
Landing back on the ground, Logan couldn't help but chuckle as this part of the song quite perfectly described the fact that his totem animal was the snowy owl. Re-assuming his human form, he finally stepped into the fighting zone with a decided expression on his face.
Female owl:
I know you hear me,
I can taste it in your tears!
Not letting the momentum fall down, Logan began performing fighting moves not only to get himself warmed up, but also to get the audience fired up, which worked to perfection.
Female owl:
Holding my last breath
Safe inside myself
Are all my thoughts of you
Sweet raptured light,
It ends here tonight!
As the female owl ended the song there and left the arena, Logan once again used his Magical Sketchbook to summon a green X made of magic above his head. Everybody in the stands cheered, but not as much as a certain female duck. "Let's go, Logan! This guy's my friend and the teacher of my little boy!" Della beamed. "Come on, show all those people how awesome you are!"
Far from looking embarrassed, the underdog hero gave a confident grin in Della's direction before rising a thumb's up. He turned his attention to the pit entrance where he just came from and gave a very serious look whilst doing some more warm-ups and waiting to see who he would get to start the match with. After what felt like an eternity to him, the sound of swords clashing blasted through the arena, and a song began.
('Push Me, Pull You' by Alexz Johnson)
Oh, oh, hmm, yeah!
I don't want a lecture
I had enough
You think you're so tight
You think you're so tough
You want to change my world
Say that you know best
Baby, look in the mirror
Take another guess
While the song played, mist started filling the arena. A lone figure appeared from seemingly out of nowhere in the middle of it, its identity impossible to guess due to the mist hiding most of it.
Your nuclear reaction
A minor distraction
Your positive is negative
There's no attraction
Then, at the same moment the mist faded enough to reveal the figure, three swords clashed on the titantron with the participant's name appearing between them all...
... Rachel Goodfey!
The audience exploded in excitation, immediately recognizing the second-in-command of the Dream Defenders. However, none of them looked as surprised and shocked as Logan Jindrak himself. For the occasion, the young woman was dressed in a black swordsman outfit with long boots and metal protections on her forearms. She addressed a friendly smile to everybody before brandishing Maleficent's Bane and showcasing her swordsmanship.
Think you're tall as a building
Your just a little stump
Think you move like a earthquake
But your just a bump
Once she was done wowing the audience, the Sword Mage stopped on the spot, pointed her blade ahead of her, more precisely, at Logan, and planted it in the ground at her feet. In a five-foot radius, the earth levitated off the ground, taking the shape of a plateau. She made this 'plateau' float forward to the fighter's pit.
You want to change my world
Say that you know best
Baby, look in the mirror
Take another guess

When she got close enough, Rachel performed an impressive moonsault and gracefully landed in the fighting zone on her two feet. She gave a little grin in Logan's direction, amused by his dumbfounded expression.
Push me, pull you
I can see right though you (Get over it!)
Mover, shaker
Learn to be a giver not a taker
Baby!
Rachel sent the platform back to its original position before swiftly turning around and showing more of what she could do with Maleficent's Bane, probably to get also warmed up for the big match.
Push me, pull you
I can see right though you (I can see right though you)
Mover, shaker
Learn to be a giver not a taker
As the song came to an end, Rachel stuck a confident pose with some pyro exploding around the coliseum, that then burst into cheers. Once it all died down, she turned her attention to her friend, who still looked like he saw a ghost. "Surprised to see me?"
"W-What are you doing here?! You never told me you were going to participate!" Logan exclaimed.
Rachel chuckled a bit. "Dude, I wasn't going to tell everybody I know about my participation; the whole point of this match is to keep the identity of the participants a secret so that everybody wonders who's gonna be here. You didn't want me to ruin the surprise, did ya?"
"... True." Logan looked away with a frown. "Cheese and crackers! Of all the people I could've started the match with, it had to be the one girl I never managed to beat! Why does the universe hate me so much... No, stay focused, Logan. You knew there would be strong people here; it doesn't change anything!"
Resting her sword on her shoulder, Rachel raised a curious eyebrow. "What's with this face? Is my presence in this competition making you doubt your chances of winning?"
"Not at all! Remember what you said, Rachel: if I decided to come to this competition, then I had to do so with the intention to win and nothing less! That's exactly what I intend to do, even if I have to go through tough guys like you!" Logan declared with unfazed determination, reaching his fist forward.
"That's exactly what I wanted to hear," Rachel stated with a grin. She reached her own fist to exchange a bump-fist before stepping a few feet away and assuming her fighting stance. "Now, show me how much you've progressed since our last sparing match!"
She didn't have to ask twice. Logan summoned his Owl Buster and assumed his own fighting stance. The two Dream Defenders walked around in circles for many seconds before they both charged forward and clashed their swords, marking the beginning of the Hero's Rumble.
The blades collided with sparks flying everywhere, the two first participants of the event seemingly on equal footing. However, it quickly became apparent that Rachel was the most experienced of the two, as she forced Logan to step back on the defensive. The Owl went for a swing that the Sword Mage deviated with ease and delivered a kick to his stomach that pushed him away from her.
"No offense, Logan, but I defeated warriors that are more skilled with a sword than you are. I suggest you pull out one of your new tricks, if you want a chance to even land a scratch on me," Rachel advised as she pointed Maleficent's Bane toward her opponent.
Unfortunately, she said the truth. No matter what he did, it seemed that Rachel had a parry and counter for each one of Logan's attacks. After getting knocked to the ground for the hundredth time, Logan realized it was time to change tactics and pulled his Owl Buster away. Instead, he assumed a stance with his legs spread and his arms extended, ready to grab.
"Why did you abandon your sword? You don't actually intend on fighting me bare-handed, do you?" Rachel asked.
"Believe me, it's gonna be more than enough to defend myself," Logan assured.
Not without hesitating due to her confusion, the Sword Mage was the one to charge forward this time, going for a non-lethal sword strike. To her surprise, Logan swiftly ducked her attack and wrapped his arms around her waist, lifting her up with ease. He slammed her on the ground before catching her in a front facelock and delivering a few knees to her face. When Rachel managed to get back up, she went for another swing that Logan ducked once more and body slammed her on the ground, jumping a few feet away afterwards.
"What the heck? Where did you learn unharmed combat?" Rachel asked as she got back to her feet.
"Did you forget? I'm the first ever pro wrestling coach in the Magical World," Logan said with a proud grin. "Where you've spent most of your life mastering the sword, I mastered drawing and pro wrestling... Of course, it'd be hypocritical for me not to mention my slightly unfair advantage." He pointed at the khopesh tied to his hip.
Rachel looked in surprise as she quickly recognized the sword. "Hey, that's the khopesh that Anubis gave you after your wrestling match against Baymax and Stitch, back when Hex was invading the Magical World! I thought you had lost it?"
"True, but I managed to find it again. Now, I can not only lift things with ease thanks to the super strength it grants me, but I also have access to Anubis' powers. He has become one of my teachers, teaching me spirit magic," Logan explaining, pulling emphasis on his hip tattoo.
"Very interesting." With a grin on her face, Rachel assumed her fighting stance once more. "Alright, my swordsmanship against your wrestling expertise; let's see which one wins!"
Logan avoided more of Rachel's swings before catching her in a full nelson submission hold that she escaped by stomping on his foot and hitting him in the face with the back of her head. She then smacked him in the side with the flat side of her sword to knock him a few feet away. Before the two Dream Defenders could clash again, the timer reached zero, meaning the next entrant would be on his way.
('GlomTales')
Life is like an evil scheme, here on GlomTales
Sharks and bombs and Scrooge's screams, it cannae GlomFail
The two participants immediately stopped fighting and gave odd looks at the entrance gate upon hearing what sounded like Ducktales 2017's theme song with different lyrics. Soon enough, a duck came walking through the gates... but it wasn't Scrooge McDuck. "G-Glomgold?!" they exclaimed in unison.
Cannae top my grand plan, to beat that Scotsman
GlomTales!
Technically I'm Scottish as well
GlomTales!
Scrooge's nemesis laughed maniacally as he entered the fighting zone, expecting to receive cheers from the audience, but only got met with a confused silence. "You all know me! You all love me! And you know that I will win this competition! The Master of Schemes, Flintheart Glomgold!" Everybody just silently stared at him. "... What?"
"... What the cheese are you doing here, dude?" Logan asked.
"And how did you get that ridiculous ripoff of a song back? Didn't McDuck Enterprises sue you for it?" Rachel interrogated with a raised eyebrow.
"Ha! You really thought Scrooge would keep my own creation away from me forever?! Like I'd ever lose anything to him!" The other participants crossed their arms at him, making the duck sigh in annoyance. "Fine, he doesn't know I'm using this song!" He pointed at Logan. "And you, lad, what do you mean by 'What the cheese are you doing here'?!"
Logan rubbed the back of his head. "With all due respect, which means none at all, you weren't in the top 50 characters I was expecting to see in this competition. Nor my top 100... Or even my top 500 for that matter." Rachel nodded in agreement at that.
Glomgold's face turned a bit red. "Argh, you whippersnappers are doubting me? I'll show you that all Flintheart Glomgold does is win no matter what!" He charged with a battle cry and began delivering wrestling chops to Logan and Rachel... who didn't flinch and simply gave blank stares at the duck - though he didn't notice them. "Come on, you young frightened folks! Show the richest duck in the world what you're capable of!"
The two Dream Defenders exchanged blank looks before Logan delivered a chop to Glomgold's chest. Not only was it hard enough to knock him to the ground, but it also echoed across the coliseum, making the watchers wince. The rich duck squirmed in pain, removing the upper part of his vest to reveal a red mark on his chest. Logan and Rachel then grabbed Glomgold and tossed him outside the fighting zone for the first elimination of the match.
"Flintheart Glomgold has been eliminated!" a voice announced.
"What was he doing here in the first place?" Rachel questioned.
As everybody in the coliseum looked at him, Zeus chuckled from his platform. "This greedy duck offered a million dollar to the staff of Olympus Coliseum in exchange for an entrance ticket. He seemed really serious about participating, so we accepted his request. I must admit I was expecting a... better performance," the King of Olympus admitted as he watched Glomgold yelling in protest as the staff members carried him out of the fighting pit.
"You really don't know him well, then," Rachel remarked with a chuckle. Whilst she looked at the greedy duck being carried away, the Sword Mage was surprised by Logan, who wrapped his arms around her head from behind, catching her in a sleeper hold.
"Shouldn't have let your guard down around me, Rachel!" the young man exclaimed. Not matter what she did, Rachel could not break free of his grasp; he was going to pull her to sleep! At least, that's what he thought before a fire spell suddenly hit him in the side, forcing him to let go as he got pushed away. "Ouch! What the cheese?!"
Taking a moment to recover from almost passing out, Rachel rose her hand to show her sword. But it wasn't Maleficent's Bane anymore; it was a sword whose blade was half-destroyed. Some fire was still emanating from it.
"Hey, I know that! It's the Broken Sword, from Irvine's Weapon Wonderland!" Logan exclaimed, recognizing the sword.
"Yup; it's one of the swords I decided to buy that day," Rachel confirmed with a grin as she twirled her new weapon around. "I didn't have the chance to get accustomed to all of them within a week, but you were right: equipped with Materia, this thing becomes a true little wonder."
The Owl slapped himself on the forehead; he had completely forgotten that his friend had new swords! "Well-played, Rachel... But I must remark that this fire spell wasn't particularly painful; it must be its most basic form."
"Oh, you think? Fire!" The Sword Mage shot her fire spell once again. But this time, Logan made his Anubis tattoo glow and shot a ball of green fire that easily overpowered her spell and forced her to roll out of the way. "Right, I forgot you could also use that green fire thing. Let's see who can burn the best!"
The two Dream Defenders played a game of shooting fireballs at each other until the timer reached zero once again.
A firm, imposing song was blasted through the coliseum, the lights around the entrance gate being turned off. It almost sounded like the anthem of an army about to invade the place. Soon enough, a symbol appeared on the titantron, Logan pushing a gasp as he recognized it. "T-That's the symbol of the CIS, from Star Wars!"
Indeed, a figure walked through the arena's gates with two Magna Guards at its side. This figure removed a black cover sheet to reveal a droid that everybody instantly recognized. "G-General Grievous?!" many people in the audience exclaimed in shock.
The Jedi Hunter walked into the fighting zone with the intimating song matching very well his imposing presence, his two arms crossed behind his back during the whole way. Once inside, he ran his creepy, reptilian eyes over the two other participants. "Surprised to see me?" he asked before giving a chuckle that transitioned into a hacking cough. "I was told that I would get to face some of the strongest warriors in the entire Magical World here, but all I see is a bunch of kids."
"I'M NOT A KID; I'M A YOUNG ADULT, DUMB ROBOT!" Logan exclaimed in anger. "You know this guy, Rachel?"
"Isn't he the droid with multiple lightsabers that Obi-Wan defeated in the Star Wars Prequels?" Rachel asked.
Groaning angrily at the reminder, Grievous slammed his robotic foot on the ground. "That isn't everything there is to know about me, young girl! Have you seen everything I have accomplished during the Clone Wars?!"
"I do." Logan crossed his arms, giving a firm glare. "Kit Fisto is my personal favorite Jedi, and I don't really appreciate that you eliminated his student in cold blood."
"Hmm? Oh, yes, I remember him. I still have his lightsaber in my collection." The Jedi Hunter pulled out a blue lightsaber alongside three others before splitting his arms into four, turning all the blades on. He made them spin before assuming his fighting stance. Logan decided that his pro wrestling style wasn't going to be helpful in this situation, so brought back his Owl Buster sword. In the same vein, Rachel made the Broken Sword disappear to bring back Maleficent's Bane.
Logan and Rachel attacked the evil droid together, their solid swords clashing with the lightsabers. Grievous had thought that his own blades would be able to cut through his opponents, but was surprised to discover it wasn't the case. Despite having more swords than the two Dream Defenders, he quickly found himself on the defensive against their combined swordsmanship. He stepped back and kept spinning and twirling his glowing blades all around, not letting a single attack pierce his almost perfect defense.
At one point, the Jedi Hunter caught Rachel's head with his clawed foot and performed a backflip to toss her away. Now alone, Logan exchanged a few strikes before clashing his Owl Buster sword with all four of the droid's lightsabers at once. "I must comment the skills of you both, kid. But it still won't be enough to take me out," Grievous said with another hacking cough.
"You wanna know something funny, Grievous?" Logan asked. "As a kid, I watched the old Cartoon Network's Clone Wars on TV all the time. The way you managed to single-handedly defeat large groups of Jedi on your own and succeed in capturing the Chancellor was nothing short of impressive to me. I sincerely thought you were the coolest villain in all of Star Wars." He then gave a disgusted frown. "If only I knew you were going to be a wimp who can't win on his own and always run with his tail between his legs from difficult fights."
"It's called being willing to win at any cost!" Breaking contact between their blades, Grievous raised his hands above his head, forcing Logan to jump back as the lightsabers left deep marks in the ground.
The two fighters led an intense duel, Logan's fierce spirit matching perfectly against the Jedi Hunter's. Eventually, the young man jumped back and took out his Magical Sketchbook to summon a metal shield that he tried to toss at Grievous like Captain America... only to fail and send it out of the arena. "Aww, man!"
"Looks like you're better with a sword than with a shield, boy!" Grievous mocked, only to groan in pain as he received an electric spell from Rachel, who attacked from behind. The two Dream Defenders clashed their swords with the general around the fighting pit until the countdown once again ran down.
('Surface Pressure' from Encanto)
I'm the strong one
I'm not nervous
I'm as tough as the crust of the Earth is
Walking through the entrance gate of the fighting zone was none other than Luisa Madrigal, the Rock of the Madrigal Familia. She juggled with huge boulders like they were nothing but tennis balls.
I move mountains
I move churches
And I glow, 'cause I know what my worth is
After juggling with them long enough, she tossed all the boulders in the air, making them pile together one over the other. She then destroyed them all with a headbutt before entering the fighting zone. "Hey, I know her; she's that girl with super strength from Encanto!" Logan exclaimed.
"It's Luisa Madrigal," Rachel informed her friend. "Wanna go test your super strength against hers while I have fun with Mr. Spider-Robot over here?"
"That's a good idea." Whilst the Sword Mage resumed her duel with Grievous, Logan went to meet the super woman, who looked down at him with her fists on her hips.
"So you're my first opponent, huh? Hope you're strong, because it's been a long time since I actually faced any true challenge!"
"Don't worry; I can guarantee that you won't be disappointed," Logan informed with a grin as he pulled Owl Buster away and assumed his wrestling stance.
The two participants locked in a clinch that saw them struggling around for a bit. Eventually, they both pushed back, the struggle ending in a no contest. "Wow, for such a small guy, you're pretty hard to move. Must eat well and do your workout!"
"Yeah, you can say that," Logan agreed whilst holding back a chuckle. However, the funny moment didn't last long, as Luisa suddenly rammed into him with a shoulder tackle that flipped him around like a pancake. "Ouch!"
Using her super strength gift, Luisa lifted Logan off the ground and above her head with one hand before dropping him down with a Gorilla Press Slam followed by an elbow drop to the young man's back, momentarily cutting off his breath. She then got him on her shoulder and attempted a running powerslam, but Logan broke free and wrapped his arms around her waist from behind, slamming her on the ground with a German Suplex.
"I don't know what that kid's been drinking before the match, but I want the same thing!" someone in the audience said.
Logan caught Luisa from the side and lifted her up for a Gutwrench Suplex before momentarily turning into his snowy owl form and taking up to the skies, so he could become human again and hit a diving elbow drop. Following this combo, he waited for Luisa to get back up by kneeling down and glaring at her like a wild man, rubbing his hair with a malicious expression (another one of his pro wrestling references). Once she was up and turned around, he ran at her for a Spear, but the Rock of the Madrigal Family countered him with a Thrust Spinebuster, slamming down hard on the ground. The audience winced as they felt the impact, even from afar.
Cracking her neck a bit, Luisa proceeded to grab Logan and toss him around the fighting zone like a bag of potatoes multiple times. "Come on, don't tell me you're already out of juice, kid!" she yelled after tossing him for the third time. She charged for a clothesline, only for Logan to make her flip over his shoulder with a back body drop.
Logan delivered two successive running knee strikes to Luisa's jaw after she got back up, trying to follow up with an Exploder Suplex. Luisa, however, resisted and caught him by the neck to hit a Chokeslam that made cracks form on the ground beneath the young man. "Cheese and crackers! At this rate, my back'll be turned to dust by the half point of the match!"
Picking up a good momentum, Luisa charged into Logan with a shoulder tackle that knocked him many feet away. She then grabbed the young man and held him in a wrist-lock from behind, which she tried to transition into what would've no doubt be a devastating short-arm lariat. Logan, however, acted first by jumping and hitting a knee strike to her face. As she clutched her jaw in pain, Logan took the occasion to German Suplex her three times in a row before following with two standing sentons.
Whilst Logan and Luisa were having their little wrestling contest, Rachel was leading her raging duel against General Grievous, clashing Maleficent's Bane against his four lightsabers. The deadly droid made his upper hands spin at tremendous speed, rolling his lightsabers like buzz saws - just as he did against Obi-Wan in Revenge of the Sith.
"You are doomed, young girl! Piercing through my sabers at this speed is near impossible. Even some of the most renewed masters of the Jedi Order couldn't do anything against it! I suggest you start praying-"
SLASH!
Grievous widened his eyes as one of his spinning hands was cut off clean with one swing of Rachel's sword. "Forgive me, but seeing those glowing blades spinning nonstop was getting on my nerves." She rested her sword on her shoulder and grinned. "Sorry for interrupting you; you were saying something about me not being able to pierce your little technique?"
Pushing a growl of anger, the Jedi Hunter charged once again.
Author's note: The competition's off to an interesting start, don't you think? With a few exceptions (like Logan), every entrant is randomly chosen, meaning I have no idea how most of the match will play off. It's a bit worrying... but at the same time, so exciting! I understand why TheDragonSaver does it for each of his competitions.
Here are the entrants so far:
-1: Logan
-2: Rachel
-3: Flintheart Glomgold (2017 version)
-4: General Grievous
-5: Luisa Madrigal
And here are the eliminations:
-Flintheart Glomgold: eliminated by Logan and Rachel.
