A/N: A rather demented, incredibly short piece. I hope you can work out why it rains so much. And I hope that you can work out what the rain is. And I hope that review or even flame, and I hope that you enjoy this.

WARNINGS: Angst, rain, abuse.

Never Stops Raining

Harry is beautiful and Draco's always hated rain.

He hates the way it makes its way down his face, so fast and strange and silent.

He hates the way it pours rapidly, as though it were a waterfall and his face was the canyon.

He hates the way it flows down his face like water from a tap, soaking his shirt.

He hates the way it never stops raining every time Daddy's heavy boot meets his side and Daddy's fist meets his face and Daddy forces Draco to – Harry's beautiful – yet again.

He hates the way it never stops raining every time Mummy gets so disorientated and can't remember who her baby dragon is and screams at him to get out of her room yet again.

He especially hates the way it never stops raining every time Harry rejects him yet again.

He offered him his hand, and Harry said no.

He offered him money, and Harry said no.

He offered him power, and Harry said no.

He offered him his heart, and Harry said no.

What else could he offer?

He offered him his body, and Harry said-

Harry's beautiful, but he doesn't realise it. It often rains when Draco is trying to convince Harry just how beautiful he is. It is a lost cause, however, as Harry doesn't believe him and just gets angry and uses and bruises the thing that Draco offered to him.

And always, throughout the time that Harry is – Harry's beautiful – it never stops raining.

Sometimes it doesn't stop for hours. The rain. How Draco hates it.

Harry, on the other hand, loves when it rains.

He says that Draco looks so beautiful pinned under him, so gorgeous with that water running down his face and soaking his skin, and feels so wonderful when he – Harry's beautiful – and the rain falls harder.

Harry is beautiful, and Draco hates how it never stops raining.

Harry is beautiful, but it still goes on and on and on and doesn't stop until the early hours of the morning.

It never rains during the day, during Draco's lessons, though, thank Merlin. That would be too awful ... his eyes would go all squinty and red from the water, and he'd look ten years older.

He always does when it rains.

It never stops raining during the nights. Ever. It always, always, always rains during the nights.

Because sometimes at night, that is when Draco has a chance to think.

Daddy's pleased, but Daddy needs his fix.

Mummy's crazy, but Mummy doesn't know.

Harry's beautiful, but Harry doesn't care.

Daddy makes him – Harry's beautiful – and then he is pleased.

Mummy screams at him and – Harry's beautiful – and then she is calm.

Harry just – Harry's beautiful – and then he is satisfied.

And when Draco is alone in his room, in his bed, and his curtains are wide open and there are no clouds at all in the clear night sky ... it never stops raining.

End.
