Chapter 29 Senate Hostage Crisis
Its been a couple days since the Multiversal Alliance increased greatly.
With it added new technology and soldiers to the Legion to help end the Clone wars.
Right now however though the Council was putting the Vote into place for it's Leader.
"All the votes have been counted and solidified. The choice is made." Tarkin said.
"Senator Organa will be placed as the first and official leader of the Legion. Effective Immediately." Sean said getting agreements from everyone but one.
"I cannot accept this. I demand a recount." Krennic said.
"You didn't get a single vote." Tarkin said.
"I don't believe that. This is clearly rigged. I should have won!" Krennic yelled.
"Why would anyone vote for you?" Anakin asked.
"This war is all your fault." Sean said.
"MY FAULT!" Krennic yelled outraged.
"Who revealed my identity to the whole galaxy? Who blabbed about it like it was his secret to reveal? Who gave the Sith a reason to come out of hiding? YOU!" Sean roared making him glare knowing he had no retort for that.
"I'm starting to wonder if he should even be allowed within the Legion to begin with." Reznov said.
"Same here." Julia said.
"Be quiet!" Krennic yelled.
"You first. You have contributed nearly nothing to the Legion. That Tie initiative was pathetic. No shields and low laser power. The armor you submitted was pathetic as well. It couldn't take a single shot and the helmets were flawed as well. Nothing you've submitted to the Weapons program has been useful at all." Sean said.
"Which is why you weren't given the Military director position. If you can't submit something of value within the end of the year...Your rank will be lowered or better yet be forced to leave." Tarkin said making him glare.
"Oh thats not going to happen. Mark my words." Krennic said leaving.
"What a pathetic loser." Reznov said.
"I'm seriously thinking he should be kicked out. And with my Mutant Counterpart's abilities he can erase his memories with no fear of him blabbing to the empire." Sean said.
"Yes, it's one of the major benefits to this alliance. But thats a matter for later. Organa is now the Leader of the Legion." Tarkin said.
"How long do these terms last?" Reznov asked.
"Technically it's less of a term and more of a permanent position. As long as the results are satisfactory for all he or she will remain in office till the current leader decides to step down. This is based on public View so we know the people are satisfied." Tarkin said.
"I say that will suffice for now. Unless Krennic tries to pull something." Sean said.
Later
"I'm honored you all selected me to lead the Legion." Organa said in his seat in the old Chancellor office with the position now known as Chairman of the Legion.
"You won the vote by a large Majority." Sean said leaning on the wall.
"Who was second?" Anakin asked.
"I'd bet it was Padme." Korra teased making him smirk.
"Uh no actually. Suyin was second place. I guess because people prefer Earth because of our abilities and her family history." Sean said.
"She still said even if she won she would turn it down since she didn't want the responsibilities." Tarkin said.
"Now regarding our move on the Senate because of Taa." Sean said.
"Actually I have a different idea that came from General Lyon of the UNSC." Organa said.
"Oh?" Thrawn asked.
"She mentioned at one point they have regular questioning using Lie detectors on their military and government leaders. It's to weed out those who have turned. I propose we do the same to make sure what happened with Taa never happens again. And from now on New Senators will be elected by those the Council inspect first before allowing elections to take place. This way no more already self interested individuals are elected in." Organa said.
"It is a sound plan. I can approve of this. But senators still need to have their power within military restricted." Tarkin said.
"In certain events yes. In times of War they have little say on matters as that will belong to the council and myself. In times of Peace however they can make suggestions but those suggestions must be discussed before being put into action." Organa said.
"Agreed." Thrawn said
2 days Later
After Organa was put into office the War had been pretty much the same against the Empire.
With Titan Technology the new Star Forge was making ships far faster than the Matter transforming factories on Raxus Prime did.
And those from the Gods Universe were proving how valuable they were against the Empire.
Right now Sean was in Chuchi's office.
"I'm generally surprised you and the council decided to elect a leader this quick. I thought after the war you would." Chuchi said.
"Public opinion made us decide now. And besides theres always got to be one leader anyway to make major choices over the council since most of it is military. Besides the fact Organa has major support he's also from royal blood. That also makes him a good candidate for the position." Sean said.
"I suppose thats true." Chuchi said.
"So whats going on right now?" Sean asked.
"Many senators are not really thrilled by some of the news rules the Chairman of the Legion has made regarding us. Particularly the questioning part of them since they feel like it's an act of mistrust." Chuchi said.
"And you?" Sean asked.
"I think it's necessary. Too many senators have abused their positions in the past and always did what they did for themselves for power and profit." Chuchi said knowing past Senators did this to current ones.
"Thats true. Still it's also to make sure we have no more traitors in our ranks. After Taa was exposed to be taking bribes from the Empire to let them invade his home world it made it clear that the Senate is too easily corruptible. This solves the problem of finding those who are on that list." Sean said.
"I know. Still I can't help but feel this will push many of them to leave the Legion and attempt to join the empire." Chuchi said.
"It wouldn't matter since by law No system can leave the Legion unless the people support the motion. And there are nearly no Neutral systems because of the results we get." Sean said.
"True." Chuchi said before yelping as he pulled her up.
"So since everything is slow. Why don't we enjoy ourselves?" Sean asked making her grin.
"And how shall we enjoy ourselves?" Chuchi asked.
"Ahem." Padme said making them freeze seeing her with Suyin both looking amused.
"Should we give you two some privacy?" Suyin asked making them groan.
"What do you two want?" Sean asked annoyed.
"Chuchi needs to attend a meeting regarding some of Organa's polices. While we agree with them some don't." Padme said.
"At least his ideals let us keep our jobs." Suyin said. Granted she understood why some on the council felt the position was no longer valuable after so many abused the position some had actually done the job right.
After Chuchi left Sean pulled out a holodisk as his father appeared.
"Care to explain why you're not at the current meeting?" Tarkin asked.
"That one does not require my attention for even a nano second. It's just regarding using the Transfiguration Matrix to tear down the slums of Coruscant and rebuild them into factories." Sean said.
"Hence why you should be here." Tarkin said.
"Please. I got more..." Sean tried to say before the lights flickered making him frown behind his mask.
"What is it?" Tarkin asked.
"I'll get back to you on that one." Sean said shutting it off and rushed off.
Arriving where Chuchi and the others were at he spotted one Dead Senator and a bunch of bounty hunters before spotting one in particular.
"Bane?" Sean asked before leaving without being seen.
Arriving in a communication room he managed to hack into the counsul before contacting Organa's office.
"Organa do you read me?" Sean asked.
"I'm glad to hear from you my friend." Organa said.
"What is going on? Why is Bane here?" Sean asked.
"You know this criminal?" Organa asked.
"We have some history. What is he doing here?" Sean asked.
"He's holding the Senators hostage and demanding we hand over Ziro. The Last Hutt." Organa said.
"Ahhh. So the rumors are true." Sean said.
"Rumors? What Rumors?" Organa asked.
"Rumor has it that the Hutt clans every year would place 20 percent of their riches in one location to store. Incase their empires fell they would be able to rebuild using this massive horde. Bane must be after it. Ziro is the last Hutt alive after we purged them from the galaxy. So he must want him to reveal it and take a portion of it with him." Sean said.
"He would be set for life." Organa said.
"We could use this to our advantage." Sean said.
"I don't follow." Organa said.
"Listen carefully." Sean said..
Later
Sean watched from the shadows as he waited for Bane and the others to leave before they placed some explosives around the Senators before leaving.
Sensing they were gone Sean walked out.
"Sean? How long have you been in the Shadows?" Suyin asked.
"The whole time. I was just waiting. Why waste energy fighting an enemy when you can just avoid it and have better results?" Sean asked disabling the bombs.
"But they're getting away." Padme asked making him grin as he took off his mask.
"Are they?" Sean asked confusing them.
"Wait...Your up to something." Suyin said crossing her arms.
"Oh believe me. What I have in store is much more appealing than killing them." Sean said.
"What are you up to?" Chuchi asked curious.
"Oh you'll see soon enough." Sean said.
"Just so long as those bounty hunters end up captures or dead I don't care." Suyin said.
Later
Ziro led the Bounty hunters to where the treasures were being held before a casket opened up.
"My father always wanted to be buried here." Ziro said.
"Thats nice. Wheres the treasure?" Aurra asked.
"Down below it." Ziro said before a stair case opened up.
"Perfect." Bane said before.
"So."
Everyone turned seeing one from the god Universe behind them with tattoos on his body.
"This is where your riches are. Good."
"Who are you?" Bane asked.
"Name's Baldur. Son of Odin of Asgard and Freya of the Vanir gods. And from another Universe. Still getting used to that." Baldur said before Aurra aimed at him. "Oh you don't wanna do that." Baldur said.
"Oh yeah? And why not?" Aurra mocked before several Asgardians showed up.
"Thats why. I'll give you a choice. Surrender and live. Or die." Baldur said.
"Neither." Bane said shooting but their armor blocked every shot.
"Death. CHARGE!" Baldur yelled as they charged in before Bane flew off while Aurra jumped off a cliff with a grapple.
"I don't even know why they even try." Baldur said as Ziro was sliced up before he went down to see the treasure.
Arriving in the Chamber room he whistled seeing a whole large amount of it.
"Oh yeah. This is gonna help out big time." Baldur said.
Later
"So only Bane and Aurra escaped?" Sean asked.
"Yup. But we got what we wanted. Thanks to that tracker we placed on Ziro when we let him go we got all the treasure inside. Theres a whole mountain full of it. Enough to fund your Legion for gods know how long." Baldur said.
"Excellent work." Tarkin said ending transmission. "Now that the Hutts treasure Vault is ours we have an enemies amount of finance to pay for countless requirements." Tarkin said.
"We already did before when we found Salai's fortune after the Basilisk incident." Korra said.
"And this adds more to it. We may never need to worry about any issues on any world now because of this." Tarkin said.
"Aye." Sean said before looking at something.
"What is it?" Tarkin asked.
"I Notice that the Empire hasn't made any moved on major sectors in a while since the Battle of Ryloth." Sean said.
"So?" Korra asked.
"So, it means they're gearing up for something big." Kenobi said.
"And we still have no idea what Hiroshi is making." Korra said.
"It has to be something that would give them an edge." Sean said.
"We'll find out soon enough. In the meantime I consider this a major win. The Last of the Hutts is dead and their fortune now belongs to us. Fortune we can use to not only rebuild after the war but make things even better." Sean said.
Meanwhile
"What do you mean your research has hit a stop?" Malgus asked Mister Sinister.
"I mean I can't make Mutants of my own design by creating them the way I tried. It's not working. And even if they do survive the process they're flawed. I need...People who are heavily connected to the force. Preferably children to continue my research." Mister Sinister said.
"You think if they have a better connection to the force they have a better chance of surviving and possessing the X gene?" Malgus asked.
"It's my theory yes. The Problem is locating children of the Force. It's difficult." Mister Sinister said making him chuckle.
"For us yes...But not the Jedi. You don't think they find younglings by chance now do you?" Malgus asked.
"Meaning?" Mister Sinister asked.
Authors Note: And with that the Hutt clan has lost everything and are no longer a species in the galaxy anymore. Next Chapter is the Holocron heist with some special surprises in store for everyone.
