Author's note: I wanted to make a fan fiction about Kairi's past and her times with Riku and Sora, so here is my best shot

Chapter One: Memories

Kairi sat alone in her darkened room, no light could be seen from any corner of her room. She loved it this way all the silence and calmness. All the years after Sora was gone she did not mind being alone. Of course when they where around she was never like this she always loved being with people and never liked the dark or being alone. Now, there was no one to get excited to see. Tidus and Selphie moved to the city and Wakka switched schools so now he never has time for his favorite sport, Blizball. This is what she did instead of visiting Destiny Islands. Kairi lay on her bed curled in a ball and closed her eyes.

Flash Back

"But, Daddy I don't want to leave!"

"Kairi, honey it is for the best we need to move on we have lived in that house too long and now you get to meet new friend doesn't that sound fun!"

"No, I like all my old friends like Katie and Alexis!!"

"Well, let's just try to make the best of it ok?"

"Ok" Kairi said with a sigh. She really did not want to leave. She had just finished kindergarten and wanted to have a fun 1st grade with her best friends Katie and Alexis. At resses Katie, Alexis and Kairi used to play tag and she loved it. The thought of finding new friends made Kairi very nervous about this new situation..

"Ok honey we are here!"

"Really" ok now Kairi was really nervous. They drove up to her house and got out and unpacked a little.

"Hey Kairi I hear that they have a island where all the children hangout it called something like umm oh yes Destiny Island, yes that's it. Anyway do you want me to take you?"

"Um sure" Now Kairi had to meet all the children.
