It was the biggest party of the summer. Or at least it was for me. I wheeled up the ramp of the Haunted Star.
I was wearing a blue velvet dress.
I looked around as the seinors and juinors were dancing.
I picked up a cup of pop just as Andy Reed came up to me.
"Hi Alyssia. What's up?" he asked.
"Uh...nothing." Suddenly my hand started shaking. I dropped the cup; spilling all over me. Fear washed over me.
The whole junior and senior class laughed at me.
I wheeled out of there. Faster and faster. The faster I wheeled, the harder I cried. I almost missed the ramp.
I hit the docks and put my head in my hands. Sobs overcoming my body.
Suddenly I heard footsteps behind me. It was senior, Jase Morgan.
"Alyssia, are you ok?" he asked softly.
"Uh, yeah. I'm fine," I answered.
"Then why are you crying? What did Andy say to you?" Jase put his hand on my shoulder. "Let me take you home."
"I...I just don't want to deal w-with them right now!" I cried.
I leaned into his arms and cried until no tears were left.
"Shh. Shh."
Finally the tears stopped.
"Come on. I'll take you back to the dance. I'll make sure no one bothers you," Jase offered.
We went back inside. I went into the bathroom to cleanup.
When I came out I smiled at what song was playing.
