While Professor Professor was having his stag do at Knowhere Special, Doctor Doctor was having her hen party over at the Infernos discotheque, getting ready to indulge in food and drinks and maybe do some karaoke while they were at it. It was mostly Titania's idea to have the hen party here. After all, this was where she and Leoffled got to hit on people together. Besides Doctor Doctor, Titania, and Leoffled; among the hen party group were Anita, Lucy Woo, Tushika, Behati, Oluremi, Hermione, Wulfrun, Kowalski, Dr. Hypno, and Crystelle. They were all sitting and trying their best to have a good time.
"It's so nice of you to take us here for the hen party," Lucy said. "I haven't had a nice night out in a while."
"Me neither," Crystelle rejoined. "It's so nice to get some time away from the kids."
Titania chuckled. "I know what you mean. Now then, who's ready to order some drinks?"
"Well, I certainly am," Tushika piped up. "Can you blame me, though? These last several weeks have been hell for me."
Everyone else just spoke up and talked about their own work experiences as of late. As reluctant as Doctor Doctor initially was to do this, she had a feeling that this had been the right call to make. It certainly beat wallowing in self-pity and regret. Anyway, everyone within the hen party group all ordered their drinks and food and then decided to kill time somehow. Hermione decided to FaceTime Lucas to ask how his day at work went while Leoffled and Wulfrun asked Doctor Doctor how the wedding planning had been going for her and Professor Professor.
"Pretty well, for the most part," Doctor Doctor replied. "Recently, we finally decided what kind of cake we wanted to serve at the wedding."
"Ooh, really?" Leoffled asked, curious. "What kind?"
"Well, it's not so much a cake as it is three different cakes stacked together as tiers. We decided on Butterkuchen, bird's milk cake, and then a Charlotte russe on top."
"Nice, I've never seen three cakes served together like that before, let alone at a wedding. By the way, is there any way you can get Maestro Maestro to talk to me? I'm too nervous to do it myself."
Before Doctor Doctor could give an answer to that, Titania interjected with, "Perhaps I can help with that. I'll just ask him to talk to you about something and see what happens from there."
Leoffled's face lit up. "Ooh, that sounds like a good idea."
"Hey, Doctor Doctor, are you nervous at all?" Wulfrun asked her. "I mean, this is a pretty big deal for you guys."
"I'd be lying if I said I wasn't," Doctor Doctor replied. "These kind of occasions tend to be the most stressful for people. There's a lot that can go wrong, you know."
"I get it," Anita chimed in. "That's why Victor and I married at the courthouse instead. We already had our hands full with Liam and Millie. We didn't need to deal with an extravagant wedding on top of that."
It was Tushika's turn to chime in now. "I mean, it's different for everyone. My spouse Domino and I got married in their parents' backyard, and it was just wonderful. Of course, getting married in the U.Z.Z. base is perfectly fine, too."
So the women continued to talk amongst themselves about what their weddings were like and how they spent their honeymoons and what not. Dr. Hypno, in particular, was recounting the time she and Zac Meadows got married within just a few days of falling for each other. All of a sudden, they heard someone come into the discotheque from behind their table. To Doctor Doctor's surprise, it was Sainte Geneviève.
"Sainte Geneviève?" Doctor Doctor asked. "What are you doing here?"
Tushika turned to look at Doctor Doctor. "Wait, you know her? I mean I knew you'd know her given your history with U.Z.Z., but do you personally know her?"
"Da," Doctor Doctor replied. "She saved my life back in North Korea."
"Ah, I see. What was she doing over there, though? I don't think she ever said-"
Sainte Geneviève cut Tushika off. "Never mind what I was doing over there. What happens in North Korea stays over there, and besides, 'Sainte Geneviève' was my name months ago. As I'm sure you're already aware, for reasons of security, my name is Changed Daily. Today, you may call me..." Her cellphone beeped. "Eustadiola."
"Nice, like the founder of Moyen-Montiers?"
Eustadiola nodded. "Exactly."
Everyone else in the hen party group agreed with Tushika's assessment.
"What are you doing here, Eustadiola?" Doctor Doctor asked again. "Don't you have duties to take care back at your branch of U.Z.Z.?"
"I just wanted to drop by and wish you well on your wedding, that's all," Eustadiola replied. "After everything we did for each other back in Kaesong, I want nothing but the best for you."
"Okay, um, thank you." Doctor Doctor wasn't quite sure how to react to this, especially in front of the rest of the hen party group. "You didn't need to do this. A simple text or message on Facebook would've been just as good."
"Don't worry, it was the least I could do." Eustadiola gave her cyan-hued friend a smirk. "Good luck with everything."
After several hours of eating, drinking, partying, and even doing some karaoke, it was time for Doctor Doctor and the rest of the hen party to part ways. She came home to the flat she shared with Professor Professor, drunk and somewhat tired. She looked around to find him passed out on the couch from all the drugs he took with Oberon and the rest of the stag do group. She then proceeded to lean back against the couch next to him.
"Moy Bog, what a night," Doctor Doctor murmured to herself. "Definitely one for the ages."
Suddenly, Professor Professor came to, and he lifted his head up to see that Doctor Doctor was already home.
"Hmmm..." Professor Professor muttered. "Susan, when did you get home?"
"I just did," Doctor Doctor replied. "By the way, do you need me to take you to bed or anything?"
"No, I'm good. Oberon offered me and the rest of the men some ecstasy and we got high and went on a rampage. Oh, and we also got a lifetime ban from Knowhere Special, so that's something."
"Okay... are you sure you don't want me to take you to bed?"
"I'm fine, Susan. Thank you."
Doctor Doctor let a small smile tug on the corners of her mouth, but said nothing more. She opened the door to the bedroom and flopped down onto the futon bed where she immediately fell asleep. The hen and stag parties she and Professor Professor had weren't exactly the ideal kind for soon-to-be spouses, but they were certainly ones for the ages.
