Gregory opened his eyes after he heard the loud bang of the 9mm round leaving the chamber.
He was still there, nothing happened to him. But his ears were ringing from the sound of the gunshot.
He saw Elizabeth on the bed in her nightgown with the Beretta M9A1 that had belonged to Luis in her hand aimed at Luis' head that she would pull the trigger on if he even moved an inch.
Luis was down with two bullet wounds to the chest.
Gregory felt a presence behind him. He saw his mother Vanessa, in her t-shirt and black shorts. She had her Beretta 92FS, the same one she used during the PizzaPlex lab incident, was once again in her hands, the smoke still fresh from the barrel. She saved her son's life.
Luis never got to fire a single shot.
"Mom!" Gregory embraced his mother tearfully.
"Gregory!" Vanessa held him putting the gun down.
"I almost could have…." Gregory said.
"Shh…shh it's okay honey, your safe now. Mommy wasn't going to let anything happen to you." Vanessa said as her own tears were coming down her face, caressing his hair as he buried his face in her shoulder.
Luis was slumped against the nightstand of the guest room lifeless.
Marta, Lance, and Fifi made their way upstairs and saw Vanessa and Gregory in the doorway. She heard them behind her, approaching her as she held Gregory.
For Gregory the whole moment went by in slow motion. Lance was checking the pulse on the body as is standard, before calling it for Luis. He was dead. Lance then called his team at OAS and to get a unit to come pick up the body.
Marta, Vanessa's best friend, was hugging both Vanessa and Gregory himself. She just as relived as that the boy and his mother was okay.
Elizabeth was relived that her blood relatives would be okay, but she also knew her time as a free woman ends tonight.
She was implicated at the Fazbear warehouse raid for killing the nightguard Ken, with fellow Fazbear Tactical team members Jet Wolf and Jenny Wolf as witnesses during the attack. Even if she was following Vanny's orders, she still must pay for the crime of killing the man. And Vanessa knew it was inevitable, even if Elizabeth is trying to make up for what happened that night, she still must accept the consequences of her actions. This does mean, she can no longer help Vanessa in the fight to stop William Afton her father and Vanessa's grandfather.
She's thankful that she told her niece last night that William was back so at least she knew about it now.
Elizabeth held her arms out for Fifi Mouse from OAS to put the cuffs on her and make the arrest. Elizabeth no longer had her superhuman powers, they wore off at this point completely. The serum dart she was shot with by Vanny months ago finally finished the job.
Gregory was in too much shock to say anything to protest. Vanessa didn't say a word, she knew Elizabeth was going and had to go, Vanessa did not want to be in a situation where she could be considered an accessory, since after all it was a Fazbear facility and Vanessa, VP of Security herself, saw the footage with Freddy.
As Fifi walked Elizabeth out with her hands behind her back, Elizabeth asked if she could speak with Vanessa one more time. Fifi stopped to give her the chance for a moment.
"Vanessa, I'm sorry it ended this way and as for Luis, I didn't know he would…" Elizabeth tried to finish until Vanessa cut her off.
"Luis duped us both. I used to think he was a nice guy back when we used to work together…but now I'm convinced he was a monster the whole time. It's not your fault Elizabeth….but what happened at our warehouse compound is….I'm sorry, but this is where our reunion ends." Vanessa said.
Vanessa then looked at Fifi and Lance.
"Just make sure you go easy on her okay?" Vanessa said.
Lance and Fifi just nodded and Fifi continued walking Elizabeth out the door and downstairs before calling a squad car to come pick her up and transport her to a maximum security facility run by OAS specifically for the humans involved in robot related crimes. Elizabeth may not have used any robots to commit a crime, she can't really be taken to a traditional police station for booking at the moment. Primarily this is being handled in this manner, because technically Elizabeth doesn't exist in any database. They will have to legally undo her death certificate she had as a child and re-issue her an identity in state and government databases. Also Lance did not want to just hand over Elizabeth to FBI just yet due to some of the information Chica brought forward.
Elizabeth Afton's rebirth adventure in her new body cloned from her niece, ends here….for now.
She was thankful she at least got to meet the niece and grandnephew she would have never met had she not been reborn from ex Fazbear CEO Jason Tyler's experiments.
Vanessa would have to carry on the fight to stop her own grandfather once again like that fateful night at the laboratory and the intel Elizabeth left behind for her would help accomplish that.
As Fifi walked out Elizabeth out the front door on the first floor, Chica walked by coming into the house noticing Elizabeth going out. Chica was about to run upstairs until Marta, Vanessa and Gregory came downstairs. She could see the state they were in emotionally and joined Marta to support them. With Chica hugging Vanessa and Gregory in a tight embrace, headed to the living room to sit down and talk things out.
Marta while Vanessa's best friend, still needs to do her duties as an officer, and takes Vanessa's and Gregory's statements, before she will go outside to take Elizabeth's.
She tells Marta everything. Marta then tells her she will be right back while the family has a moment alone, with Chica on one side of Gregory, and Vanessa on the other on the couch. The three of them holding each other.
Marta takes Elizabeth's statement and tells her and Fifi all the intel on what Luis had been doing with his company and how all the info she managed to get on a flash drive she left on the nightstand in the guest room, including warning them about William Afton returning, something that made all 3 law enforcement officers nervous. Lance recovers it so he can have Cove, his technical expert at OAS can look at the contents. Vanessa also has a copy of the data on another flash drive Elizabeth left for her separately to aid in her fight against Afton.
6:00 AM
After the scene had been processed and cleaned up by a crew Lance called in for Vanessa, all law enforcement left her house with Elizabeth, a tow truck came and took Luis' BMW, with the keys being given to the tow truck driver by Marta. It will go to the Hurricane Police impound lot where eventually it will be auctioned off. Lance, Marta and Fifi already combed the car for evidence, it was clean.
Everyone else left, but Chica opted to stay behind and stay over to sleep in with them, Gregory was not going to school today, Vanessa would be making sure of that calling in for him as his mother.
The three of them sharing a bed in Vanessa's room. Vanessa had kept a charging pad in her house for if any of the animatronics came to stay over and didn't have theirs. She laid it out underneath her own bed for Chica to receive a charge while she slept with them.
Chica got a phone call on her iPhone from Freddy.
Freddy, Roxanne and Mangle made it out of the old JR's restaurant okay, but the place was now torched with fire crews putting the fires out, and they delivered the unfortunate news that Vanny and her crew had managed to escape with the nightmare animatronics.
Mangle confirmed her original model no longer exists after her battle against it.
The three were returning to their apartments at the Pizzaplex to rest, while Chica will rest at Vanessa's house. Much like Gregory and Vanessa, these four glamrocks would likely be taking the day off to rest after what they had been through. Before hanging up, Freddy told Chica that he and Roxanne are on their way to Vanessa's to stay with them as well. Roxanne plans to make them all breakfast once they all wake up.
Family always takes care of family.
Mangle as much as she loves Gregory, would be headed back to Foxy's apartment in rockstar row. She really needed to be with her favorite fox right now. Freddy and Roxanne understood especially after her fight with essentially herself.
