Coffin Dance

On the airship from several chapters ago, several loud noises, mostly consisting of Klings! and Klangs!, were heard throughout the ship.

One notable person was visually pissed off at such, with said person being Bardock, the low-class Saiyan who was known to bear the Super Saiyan God form.

"Jesus Christ, who the fuck is making that noise?!" Bardock questioned from where he sat in the lounge, with several others.

"I don't know, but it's fucking annoying," Cell said. "I hope it also stops as well." He took a sip of some coffee he had.

"You drink coffee?" Villain Izuku questioned.

"I'm part Namekian, I can survive solely off of liquids," Cell stated. "And yes I drink coffee! I need it if I'm going to deal with you assholes."

Bardock shook his head, not really caring about the fact Cell drank coffee. "I'm going find out what the fuck is going on. Anyone want to come with me while I complain to Lego?"

"I'll come," Cell said.

"OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHOOOOOOOOOO!" Zarbon moaned in the background.

"That was a weak setup," Bardock said to Zarbon, "and you know it."

"Oh…" Zarbon depressingly said.

Rolling his eyes, Bardock and Cell eventually found their way to where the commotion was coming from, and found Lego, Android 21, and Mei Hatsume from AQQAAD (the same place where 21 and Bardock were from) building what looked like a device to open portals, judging from the platform, and the large ring in the middle of it, likely where the portal would form.

"Oh, hey guys," Lego said to Bardock and Cell.

"You just got sent to another dimension, and you're building ANOTHER PORTAL?!" Bardock questioned. "Why?!"

"Modern Warfare 2 is coming out, so I thought I'd go do some shenanigans within a Call of Duty world," Lego admitted. Bardock and Cell's jaws dropped at that. "Might also have the Terminator show up."

"Wait, the Terminator?" Cell questioned. "As in, T-800? Arnold Schwarzenegger?" Other than Lego, everyone else was confused as to who Cell was talking about.

"Yep," Lego said. "I have him unlocked in Vanguard too. As long as we're in the Aether Storyline, we can probably find him." This caused Cell and Bardock to look at each other, and then back at Lego. "Listen, you moppets could either join me or not. Which it gon' be?"

"Is that a Captain Price reference?" Cell questioned.

"I'll take that as a no," Lego said as he went over and picked up a gun that was a bright purple color and had a diamond coated texture to it off of a table with a few guns. Lego looked at if, nodded a bit, and said, "Fuckin' love the M16." He picked up a canister off of the table that had a light blue glow to it, and had some sort of plasma energy floating inside of the canister. It was almost similar to that of a firefly flying inside of a jar.

"You're seriously doing this?" Bardock questioned.

Lego looked at him and merely gave a shrug with a look on his face that showed his commitment to this. "I'm committing to the bit." He held the gun up and on his shoulder. "And you aren't gonna stop me."

"Opening the portal!" Mei said as she turned on the teleporter, and it summoned a portal, from which a portal with a light-purple and blue glow appeared, with a thick black outline to it.

"See ya boys later," Lego said, before he put on a beanie. "Bravo-6, goin' dark." And then he walked into the portal, which closed after he entered it.

A loud inhuman groan was heard, as well as rapid footsteps on a metal floor. "Adler, are you done using the Mystery Box?" Came the yell from a man with a light Israeli accent, being chased by the inhuman creature, though it looked like a dried up human that was somehow still walking around.

"Hold on, still trying to get a weapon!" A man named Adler said as he stood in front of a mysterious box that was glowing on the inside, with several guns floating above it while it was opened, though the guns were changing rapidly. "Aaaaaaaand… finally." Adler picked up the weapon he got from the Mystery Box, which was a Ray Gun. "I got a Ray Gun?" He holstered his pistol and looked at the Ray Gun a bit. "Tech gets better every day apparently."

"Just give Lazar a fucking break! The zombie has been chasing him for a good bit, he needs a break," another operator said. "Not to mention Park is busy with that other weapon she got. The D.I.E. or whatever."

"I kinda just want to see if this Ray Gun is the real deal," Adler said. "Sims, go tell Park we're gonna off this guy." The operator from before rolled his eyes.

"If I die before I get back here," Sims began as he looked at Adler, who merely waved him off.

"You'll be fine. You got Park and the Wonder Weapon up there," Adler told Sims, who merely nodded and went up.

"To think there was a Nazi facility that could open a portal to another world," Lazar commented as Adler got the last zombie's attention and started running around with it.

"Yeah, fuckin' insane. If they unleashed this during the second world war, we definitely wouldn't have won," Adler commented. "But it seems like they didn't know how to control it in the first place."

"If they did, we'd be in much deeper shit, that's for sure," Lazar replied. "The whole world might be under the rule of the Nazis."

Before they could continue their conversation, Sims came back downstairs alongside Park, who held the D.I.E. Machine. "So, you boys are ready for the next wave?" Park asked Adler and Lazar.

"Yep," Adler said, before turning around and shooting the zombie with the Ray Gun, with said zombie actually blowing up. Adler was a bit surprised by the effectiveness of the Ray Gun, but also by how it stung him a bit, as the zombie had been close when he shot it. "Damn, this thing hurts as well."

"Well, regardless, we're ready for the next step… hopefully," Park said, holding a golden ball in her hand to show her fellow operators.

"What do we need a golden ball for?" Lazar questioned, not seeing the use of it.

"I'm going to check in the Medical Bar area," Park said. "Hopefully, something in there needs it. Or we've hit a deadend."

"Fair enough," Adler said, before looking around. "...hey, where're the zombies?"

"There is no way we killed them all," Sims said as he looked around, aiming his Krig 6 assault rifle around. "I refuse to believe it."

"Could just be taking them a bit longer to appear," Lazar said. "We don't know too much about this Dark Aether or whatever."

Eventually, however, they heard something. It was the sound of footsteps that sounded human enough. The four American Operators turned to see a certain male holding his M16 walking around, whilst looking around too.

"So DIE Maschine is where I appeared," Lego commented. "Nice…" He turned and saw Adler and co, before saying, "Shouldn't you all be hunting Perseus?"

Everyone raised their weapons at Lego. To be fair, they didn't know who he was, or how he knew Perseus, a Russian asset who almost started another World War, and set off the nukes underneath every major European City, planted by the USA as a part of Operation Greenlight. "How the fuck do you know Perseus?!" Adler questioned. Perseus wasn't even something known to the public, but only to the military.

"Cross-dimensional stuff, something you'd know a little about considering you're holding a Ray Gun, and Park has the D.I.E. Machine," Lego said. "Now stand down. I'm not an enemy. At this current moment in time, I'm pretty much an ally."

"How do we trust you?" Sims questioned. "You could work for Omega Group."

"Because the Dark Aether has plenty of secrets you don't even know about yet," Lego began. "And I'm pretty sure you'd want to know everything you could about it."

Adler lowered his Ray Gun slowly. "If you're lying, we'll take your head," he stated.

"Get PhD Slider first," Lego said to Adler. "And then you might stand a chance." Walking up to them, Lego said, "Alright, what's the plan?"

"If you know stuff about the Dark Aether, then tell me, what the hell is going on with these zombies?" Sims said as he got close to Lego, putting the barrel of his gun to his forehead.

"In the Dark Aether, things are corrupted in a sense. It's the dark side of the Earth, and it's been at war since the dawn of creation. Every negative quality is there in that world, and is a defining aspect of every creature there," Lego said. "The elder gods of the Dark Aether especially, and most of all, Kortifex the Deathless. He is the one capable of raising the dead as you've seen."

"Gods?" Lazar questioned as he walked up to Lego. "You expect us to believe that?"

"Explain the box then," Adler said, pointing the Ray Gun at Lego's head. "The one that randomly disperses weapons."

"That's the Mystery Box," Lego said. "It does just that. Gives a random weapon and then disappear to another location after a few uses." Lego sighed. "Shouldn't y'all be asking things like, oh, how does the Pack-a-Punch work? Why are there these weird hounds that explode? Who is the stranger dishing out orders from the Trial Machine?"

There was a silence, before Adler said, "Hold your fire." He lowered the Ray Gun… again. "Why should we believe you?" Lego's hand lit on fire. It shocked the operators a little bit, but they merely took that as a sign. "...alright then."

"You said hold my fire," Lego wittingly remarked.

Adler just straight up smacked Lego, who merely rolled his eyes, before heading to the Pack-a-Punch and upgrading his M16. "Perfect," he said as grabbed it.

As Lego grabbed the weapon, and the operators had a little discussion amongst themselves, Adler had to radio to his commanding officer. "Adler to Weaver, we got an interesting development."

"This is Weaver, how copy?" The voice of Weaver, a CIA Special Agent and the Special Operations Officer of Requiem, responded.

"We got a boy over here who claims to know things about the Dark Aether, although he appeared out of nowhere," Adler answered. "The boy mentioned a name. Kortifex the Deathless. Aside from that, he knows about Perseus, as well as our mission hunting Perseus for that matter."

There was a hum that had a slight bit of concern in it. They were in risky territory, and with Omega Group potentially being ahead of them in technological advances, weaponizing whatever they got from the Dark Aether… they needed intel. If the boy could provide intel, they should take the risk.

"Monitor the boy. If he's sent by Omega, bring him in for interrogation," Weaver said.

"If I'm allowed to chime in," Sims said as he radioed Weaver as well, "then I'm pretty sure that the boy would put up more of a fight than we might expect. He magically made flames appear on his entire hand. If we had to fight him, I think that he's not bluffing when he said that we might stand a chance against him, especially if Adler got… what was it? PhD Slider?"

"Yeah," Lazar said as he watched Lego as he looked at his gun.

"Yeah, that," Sims continued.

"...keep an eye on him, and continue with the mission like normal," Weaver told them, and they remembered what the mission was. Disable the Cyclotron at Projekt Endstation, the location they were at now. Although the zombies were making it a bit hard… though they haven't appeared for a while.

"Copy," Adler said, looking over at Lego. "But just in case, have Raptor 1 standby for evac."

"Roger that, Weaver out."

As soon as Weaver went silent, they heard the undead groan of some zombies. Lego perked his head up at that. "Shit, I didn't get any perks yet," he said.

"Don't worry, we got you," Park said as she held out the D.I.E. Machine. "Now, let's dance."

I admittingly tried to get this out in time for the release of Modern Warfare 2 (2022), or at least to celebrate its release, but this one is a bit late. Also, we can expect to see some more zombie antics in future chapters.

As for whether or not I'll include a few certain someones from crossovers that happened in the lifespan of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War… we'll have to wait and see.
