Chapter 26
Assassin Deku
Now it's time for the climax of Venetian conspiracy. So to speak. In this one we'll meet those who will aid Izio in his latest attempts to free Venice from the Templars. And will start to learn more of what his family was wrapped up in. So, on with the show.

"I wonder what Izio's going to do next?" Koda asked with some worry. A thought many others mirrored after the end of the last video. "I know what you mean. He's likely to have the guards hunting for him. And now there's a templar….. Doge? What is that?" Mina says with a touch of confusion.
Momo abates it by explaining that the Doge was an elected noble position in Italy. "At least during these times. In fact there were multiple of them leading to the term 'crowned republics' given what was involved.
Nezu then notes and agrees that there were some complications Izio would have to face. "He'd need everyone to be disguised or pretending to be others to walk around safely." Nezu says while sipping his tea. Aizawa snorts before saying there was no way that was going to happen. As the screen lights up again.
Izio makes his way back to Leonardo's shop while dodging the guards. And subtly noting the decorations going up around the city. He knocks on the door and is quickly let in by his friend. "Izio! Dio Mio! You're alive! Is it true? They say you killed the Doge?"
"Of course, he didn't! How could he believe that!? He doesn't, that's why he's asking him about it. Still, it sounds like he doesn't trust him," some of the teens say with some trepidation. Others wonder about the decorations they can see in the city. "Hmmm. Could it? Well, that's convenient!" Nezu says with a smile.
Izio shakes his head before saying, "I was trying to save him, Leonardo. But the truth matters little. I failed. And now I'm the most wanted man in Venezia." Leonardo smiles before saying, "well, perhaps you're in luck! It's Carnevale in Venezia! This is the time when everybody goes without a face!"
Aizawa face faults a bit before saying, "of course! He just happened to be that lucky!" Midnight laughs before mentioning it wasn't a bad thing. "Now he may have a way to get to the dirty Doge and try to help the city."
While the students were laughing at Aizawa's annoyance, others were interested in how he would go about sneaking around the city. "What is Carnevale?" Torru asked with a scratch of her head. Ibarra takes over and explains that it's a celebration before the period of Lent. "It is a way to have extra fun or celebrate before the sacrificial period."
Izio nods and asks if he had a mask he could borrow and Leonardo does. It's just buried in among his inventions. "Grazie amico mio. And I have something for you." Izio says before handing Leonardo the Codex page.
"Ooohh! More of the Codex! Aha! This one is quite complex….. Hmmmm. It's a new design, my friend. A mechanism for your wrist, but not a blade. In fact it seems to be a kind of arma de fuoco. But as small as a hummingbird!" Izio questions if it was really possible, and Leonardo just says he'd have to build it and find out.
Some chuckles were had at Leonardo being disorganized, but more were interested in the new piece from the Codex. "C'mon new blade! Gimme a new blade idea!" Kamakiri says excitedly. Only for him to rage in a bit of frustration at what the new weapon turned out to be.
While everyone else was surprised that Izio would be getting a gun that small. "Wrist guns? Back then? No way it actually works…. Right? This is Leonardo Da Vinci. If anyone can make it, he probably can."
It takes a few hours, but Leonardo does in fact build the weapon. With the barrel running parallel with the Hidden Blade itself. Izio's smile is large as he puts on the bracer and says, "you've done me good brother!"
A few smile at the quick interaction of the assassin and the inventor. "He's one of the few people from before his life fell apart that are still there. Sure Eri is around, and so is his mom. But Leonardo has been a good friend and partner to all of his missions to avenge his family." Bakugo says with a slightly pensive look. But that and he calm demeanor talking about it worry the rest. Especially when he doesn't freak out or explode at them afterwards.
Leonardo returns it and says, "ma certo. But I'm sure your return was not just to play with new toys. Is it about this terrible new Doge they've installed? Marco Barbarigo?" When Izio confirms it is, Leonardo tells him to speak with Antonio. "I've seen him quite a bit lately at a… um, mutual friend's. I'd look for him there. In the Dosoduro district. Ask for Sister Teodora Shiozaki."
A few are interested at hearing Ibarra's name and expect this to be her counterpart. "If she's a sister, does that mean she's a nun?" Kinoko asks with a look to her friend. Who has a light behind her as she says, "it seems I aid those in seeking peace in their lives and hope in their hearts. Perhaps I even listen to Antonio-san's confessions to his own crimes. Even if they are for the good of others."
Some from 1-B sweat drop at her statements and the light but agree and wonder if she was operating an orphanage or something while in the city. Kan though beams at the idea of one of his students helping to fight the injustices of the Templars. Even if it's just as an informant.
Izio looks at Leonardo funny and asks about the sister part. With his friend looking uncomfortable and saying she was a sister in a way. Before warning about his weapons and giving him the mask. The assassin makes his way toward the district Leonardo mentioned with some trepidation. Luckily most don't pay attention thanks to it being Carnevale.
"He really is kind of lucky that it was festival time. Everyone is focused on that rather than him." Shoji notes with a scratch of his chin. Tsuyu agrees and wonders how he could or would deal with the Doge. "Even with people relaxed, since they know he's in the city he make sure he keeps his distance or is always protected."
"Okay. I think this is the place." Izio thinks aloud before opening the door. And there he sees Antonio sitting with a pair of courtesans as another looks on. One with a white cloth covering her green braided hair. And wearing a relatively modest blue dress that shows of her cleavage and a cross around her neck.
Spit takes fly once more and Eri's eyes are covered when they realize where Izio had walked in to. With Shiozaki herself blue screening and collapsing to the side out of her chair. And all of the perverts of both classes ogling the woman and quietly comparing them to the version in their world.
With Vlad King confused and blushing at the appearance of his student. 'No. NO! Do not think about that! She is your student you disgusting fool!' Kan screams to himself as he slaps himself a bit. With Midnight humming and intrigued by this version of the holy student. "Let's see where this goes!" she says with a rubbing of her hands together.
Izio removes his mask to talk to Antonio and he is happy to proclaim his friend's name. "Teodora, meet the most… ahem… talented man in Venizia!" Izio bows to the woman and says, "Madonna…. Ah! Sister Teodora Shiozaki…" And more of the sister is seen, including her dark green eyes.
"Hello beautiful holy maiden! Please guide me to guck!" Kosei says with a big smile across his face. Only for Itsuka to smack him since Ibarra was still out of it. And the rest of the perverted members of the hero classes were thinking the same. But they didn't vocalize this right now.
"I never pictured you as the religious type." Izio jokes and Antonio laughs while enjoying a drink. "It depends how you understand religion, my son. It's not just men's souls that call for soothing," the sister says with a slight wink.
Midnight hums with a sultry smile before saying, "indeed my little sister. Sometimes it takes many things to sooth those who are dangerous. You've felt that, eh Hanata?" Sero blushes while also smiling and slightly remembering laying on the teacher's lap.
Antonio tells Izio to join him for a drink, but a scream distracts everyone. Another courtesan runs in and cries, "MURDERER! BUTCHER! He sliced Lucia and stole her money!" Teodora looks toward Izio with a firm glare and says, "so Messer Izio, lets see just how talented you are. After him!" Izio nods before running out.
Some are shocked by what happened and angered at the perpetrator. Enough to where Ibarra shook out of her blue screening. "Please stop him and keep him from killing others." Ibarra says with a slight tear in her eye. And then praying for the soul of her… sister at that business.
Izio sees the man and he is threatening another courtesan. Saying if he gets any closer he'll cut her. 'Alright Bastardo. Then lets use this.' Izio thinks while holding his hand out to seemingly appeal to him. Only to line up his shot and kill the man with a bullet to his head.
Midnight and Aizawa nod at the way Izio is handling the matter before him. "He's being patient and keeping his distance. Given the threats the man has made," the two analyze with a nod.
With the students though, some of them are angered by the killer's shallow claims of innocence. "No way man. You took a hot woman from this world just because of your pride? You deserve to go down hard!" Mineta says with rage burning in his eyes. Rage that some compared to Bakugo's at times. And for once the girls don't want to smack him. "At least he's angry for a good reason." Jiro says begrudgingly.
The whole audience cheers a bit as Izio deals with the killer and stops him from taking another courtesan's life. "Well done young Izio. You made good use of the weapon and power you were given." All Might says with a nod.
He brings back the money and leaves before the guards arrive. And when he makes it back, all of the courtesans are mourning their sister. While Teodora comforts and Antonio paces. "You have our gratitude Izio." Teodora says.
Ibarra bows her head and says a prayer for the courtesan again, one for the murderers in that he would see some light, and another prayer for Izio that he would find peace eventually. And while not believers, many of the others in the audience feel the same for the courtesan and Izio.
"Why is it that wherever you go, trouble follows?!" Antonio asks with some annoyance. Izio moves past that and discusses the matter of the Doge with the two. "We did this once already! And this new Templar Doge is a bigger culo than the last. Nevermind that he NEVER leaves the Palazzo."
"And we probably can't use the flying machine again. The Templars are probably ready for that, and it would take too long for Leonardo to build another one. Not to mention him probably having more guards on the roof and escape routes ready….." Izuku starts before mumbling in analysis.
For once though, no one tries to snap him out of it. As a few others were trying to think of ways to get to the villain. Some even consider their quirks before remembering that they wouldn't have them in that world.
"Yes. Except for tonight. Marco wouldn't dare miss Carnevale." Teodora says with cunning look. Izio asks how she knows that, but she doesn't answer right away. "In fact he's throwing the biggest party of them all. But getting in won't be so simple. You'll need a golden mask for entry. And before you think about forging one, keep in mind, each mask is numbered."
A few chuckle and then Setsuna says, "well it seems like the other you knows how to take control of the situation. Guess there's a reason she's in charge of that brothel." Ibarra blushes at that but does take some of the compliment given her other self.
"Fortunately for you, I have an idea. Let's see if we can't WIN you a mask." Teodora says before escorting Izio to the game area. Along the way, Izio asks her about why she wears a nun's habit but operates out of a brothel. The lady laughs and notes that she is truly married to the Lord.
"How I choose to practice my faith – what I choose to do with my body. These are my choices to make." She notes how she grew disillusioned with the 'believers' of the city and sought to help men to hold god in their hearts as much as gold or women. Seeking to teach love this way.
"I believe sister! Please let me join your church and guck!" Mineta cried out before getting vine smacked by a red faced Ibarra. And while they didn't say it, she could see the more…. Sinful thoughts of a few others. And Kaminari, Kosei, Sero, and Awase joined him.
With Midnight though, she says that she respects the sister. "She stays firm in her belief and in what she can do and teach to others. And she is not one to deny those who enjoy the pleasures of the flesh. Instead, she celebrates them and the way to grow closer. Even if only through physical means."
Teodora said that no church would agree with her. "So I created my own. It may not be traditional, but men's hearts grow…. Firmer in my care." Izio has a small laugh before saying "among other things I'm sure."
A few snorts of laughter are had at Izio's joke. With Izuku himself blushing at the thought of what was growing firmer. Midnight herself laughs again and says she's proud of the other Ibarra. "Keep those boys in control and soften or harden what you need to!"
Upon reaching the games area, Izio is presented with his challenges to win the golden mask. Snatching ribbons from the ladies around the square, a footrace, a capture the flag match and then a fist fight.
The latter of which grows increasingly dangerous as the bodyguard of Marco and Silvio Barbarigo, Dante Moro, steps in as well as a set of armed guards. But Izio handles them all. Leaving the men groaning in pain on the ground. Even those who used weapons against him.
Most of the audience snorts at the ease of some of the challenges. Even without their quirks they could be capable of completing a few of them. "The snatching the ribbons challenge seems to be the hardest." Shoto said with a contemplative look.
When it came to the final game there were a few choice words for the Barbarigo tactics. "Cheating bastards! Unmanly! You really think you're gonna stop him?" some of the boys comment as the fight escalates for Izio. And most of the girls agree with them. Though a few are less crass than others.
When the organizer is planning to hand it over to Izio, Silvio coughs and glares at the man. Basically, forcing him to hand it over to Dante. Izio grumbles with Antonio back at Shozaki's bordello, until one of the courtesans reports that they had spotted Dante.
While Izio initially intends to kill the man, Antonio stops him. "If you kill him, they'll cancel the party. And Marco will retreat back to his palazzo. We'll have wasted our time again. Steal the mask instead. Quietly."
"Why didn't they just do that from the start!?" Bakugo shouts in annoyance. A few of the other teens agree and question the same. Nezu shrugs before noting that she likely wanted to do this legal since they would be committing an act of murder. "Better to not to draw too much attention and have others on the lookout."
Teodora mentions that her girls can distract Dante to give Izio his chance. Getting his chance and swiping the mask. Despite an annoying bard constantly singing in his face. Who kept following him until Izio punched him in the face.
A few snorts of laughter were had at the bard's expense, with some wishing that Izio had done it sooner. "He was really out of key and tune the whole time. It was getting irritating." Jiro commented while rubbing her ears.
Once close to the party's location, Izio swapped his mask and made his way inside. Meeting Teodora inside. She notes where Marco was and tells Izio to use her girls to keep himself covered till he can get close. Needed as Silvo and Dante had just arrived to warn of the infiltration.
But this changes when a man announces the Doge. The man himself is staying on his boat within the canal. And Izio can't get to him. "Merda! He's not leaving the boat. I'll have to swim out there." Izio says while Teodora stays close to him.
A few of the students are tense as Izio weaves his way around the party and the people. All to get close to his target. Only to be for said target to be just out of range. "Even if it's a party day, I doubt anyone would buy that he's just a drunk who happened his way there." Ida says while taping his foot.
She stops him from swimming out and taking the direct path. "Wait!" she says while looking up at the fireworks that were going off as Marco was giving his speech. "That's it! Your pistola! The one you stopped the murderer with. It's as loud as those explosions. Time it right, and you'll walk out of here unnoticed."
"Nice catch Sister! Uh do you mean that- Not now Setsuna! She's right and it's a good call. Izio just needs to line up the shot," some of the students say (Itsuka and Setsuna starting the conversation). Some of the ranged specialists lick their lips a bit as they think about how they would try doing it. 'Though with our quirks, that would be more detrimental,' most of them think given quite a few of their powers would give them away. Especially Aoyama's.
"I like the way you think Sister." Izio says with a smirk under his mask. He eases up to a position close to the boat Marco is on. Using a few of the girls for cover. Subtly taking aim as the man continues to speak. And the girls continue to dance around him. 'Three…. Two…' Izio counts to himself before pulling the trigger on his pistol. Putting a bullet through the heart of the Templar.
Ibarra nods as Izio makes use of her girls to get close to the barge he was on. The audience watches the sky as much as Izio with bated breath. As they subtly hear him counting after hearing a firework be launched. And then strike down the puppet leader.
While all were panicking at the attack and death of the new Doge (looking for his killer), Izio can make out the man's words as he passes. "No! It's too soon! I'm not ready!" Marco says sadly. Izio sighs before quietly saying, "we rarely are. Che la morte non sia crudele. Requiescat in Pace."
"That is very true young Auditore." All Might says as he hears him note that few are ready to die. Before thinking coldly about his old enemy and how he ran from death in anyway he could.
While the students paid subtle respects to the dead as he passed, others were wondering what could happen next for the city of Venice. "Another Doge will have to be chosen." Aizawa says with a scratch of his chin. Mic agrees and wonders if it will be someone independent or allied with Izio's group.
With the matter done, Izio slips out and back to Teodora's bordello. Where the girls greet him warmly. With Teodora coming forward to speak with him. "You must be exhausted. Come. Relax," she says with a coy look.
Mineta and the other perverts grumble at Izio's luck with women as well as the look the other Shiozaki was giving him. While their own Shiozaki was blushing and muttering, "shameless! Scandalous!" in embarrassment.
Antonio comes in next, though he is having to quickly adjust his pants to be speak properly. "Ah! The savior of Venezia! What can I say? Perhaps it was wrong of me to doubt so readily. Now we'll see where all the pieces fall." Antonio says with a pat on Izio's back.
Snorts of laughs are had at Antonio having to put his pants on as Izio walked in. "You probably should have asked if he washed his hands." Mineta says with a snort. And while some feel the urge to smack him, others did find it funny and agree.
Aizawa sighs before saying, "well he is right. Nothing to do but wait." Mic meanwhile snorts before saying, "and enjoy a few of the pleasures of the flesh? Right?" Only to get an elbow to his ribs from his old friend.
"Enough of that now. You've worked hard, my son. I feel your tired body in need of comfort and succor." Shiozaki says firmly and then seductively. "But I have such aches and pains, sister. I may need a great deal of comfort and succor~." Izio responds with look towards the Sister and a hand upon her breast. Teodora just says matter of factly, "oh that can be arranged. Girls!" And thus leaving it to them to "take care" of Izio.
Ibarra sighs before saying, "well at least in this case, I'm not the one comforting him." Itsuka then thinks of something important from the previous video. "Wait! Wasn't Izio with the other me at this time?!" Hearing that makes a few of the teens annoyed at Italian Assassin. Even Izuku himself.
A couple of days later, Izio meets with Antonio and a new important figure. "Ah! There you are! Come, Izio. I'd like to introduce you to an associate. This is Agustino Barbarigo. Soon to be Doge of Venezia. Thanks to you." The large man bows to Izio as Antonio introduces him.
A few eyebrows were raised at the fact it was another Barbarigo that was being put into power. "Weren't they all working for the Templars?" Ida questioned with a scratch of his head. Juzo agrees before saying, "maybe….. he didn't agree with the plans? So, he separated himself from them?"
"If that's the case why didn't he try to stop them or change their minds?" Bondo says with a tilt of his head. A few hum before Nezu brings up a likely scenario. "It could be that even if he tried, they would have denied him. Maybe even imprisoned or 'removed' him to make sure he couldn't go against the plans." Hearing that makes a few shiver at the evil of the Templars of this time.
"E un onore fare la vostra conoscenza, illustrissimo. I'm sorry for the loss of your brother." Izio says with a bow as well. Agustino brushes it off with, "he had it coming. He was bought and paid by the Borgia, a mistake I have no intention of making."
"Wait….. Borgia? I thought I heard….. something else?" Izuku says with some confusion. Some others agree and question why it was changed. For Ida and Momo though they are wide eyed and unsettled by what they started to put together what it could mean. With Nezu piecing the matter together a bit quicker than them, but no less unsettled.
Antonio then invites Izio inside to discuss matters. Namely that Silvio Barbarigo had barricaded himself inside of the L'Arsenale district. "You're Doge now. Can't you command them to stand down?" Izio questions. Agustino shakes his head before saying, "the committee of 41 has yet to confirm my ascension. And this little stunt of Silvio's has only made things worse. He has an army at his command!"
Aizawa scoffs and mutters, "politicians. Always lagging or dragging their feet." Kan agrees and hopes that Izio and the rest can stop the man. Given the 'proper' authorities can't.
"Then help me to raise my own." Izio says with a gesture. Antonio expected this and tells him who to seek out. "Bartolomeo Tetsu D'Alviano is the man you seek. He and his men have little love for Silvio. He resides in the military district. Southwest of L'Arsenale."
"Wait Tetsu!?" Kirishima says with a smile growing on his face. Matched by said iron head himself. "Bro! You've got your own counterpart! And it look like I'll be backing our sneaky bro up in this situation!" the two say with their arms over each other's shoulders.
Izuku smiles and says, "glad to be working with you. And I'm betting just like the you here, your other self is ready for a fight!" He then holds up his fist to bump it with Tetsutetsu. Who does just that and sits down with some excitement.
Izio agrees and goes to seek out the man. When he arrives though, he finds one of Bartolomeo's men injured. "What's happened here? Where is he?" Izio questions. The man replies by saying, "Silvio's thugs….. attacked…. Took him… deeper into the district… north of here." These are his last words as the man dies from his injuries. "Requiescat en Pace," Izio says as he closes the mans eyes. Silently resolving to make sure the man's death was not in vain.
Tetsutetsu nods before quietly thanking the assassin for the blessing to his soldier. Most of the audience thinks the same and hopes nothing has befallen the other version of their classmate.
He finds the man he is looking for relatively easily. Hard to miss or ignore a man who is constantly shouting and challenging his guards. Calling them cowards or unmanly as he rattles the bars of his cage. He is a large well-built man for the times. With silver hair and piercing eyes on his face. With his frown topped by a silver moustache.
A whistle is let out at seeing Tetsu's counterpart and Kirishima calls his moustache 'extra manly'. "Maybe I need to grow one of my own," both hard heads think aloud. Some of the other male members think this, but a few agree it wouldn't look good.
"About goodamned time! I don't know if I should kiss you or slap you. Maybe both. Just to be safe!" Bartolomeo exclaims as Izio starts working on the lock. Izio backs up with a chuckle and introduces himself. Saying he is there to rescue the man. Who just chuckles before saying, "hah! Let's see who winds up rescuing who?"
Izio is confused and asks what the man means. Only for his question to be answered by the returning guards. "Find me a face to put my fist in!" Bartolomeo exclaims and he attacks one of the men even unarmed. Knocking one out but having to evade the sword of another. He then picks up a broom and uses that as a makeshift sword to disarm one opponent. While Izio deals with three more.
"HELL YESSSS! Time to kick some asss! Tetsu shouts until he's smacked over the head by Vlad. He nods to Eri who seemed nervous about how loud he was being. He coughed and apologized but was still excited, nonetheless.
As were the other teens in the audience. While Tetsu was getting a quiet reprimand, the others were praising the other version's skills. "Now that is the way 1-B fights!" Monoma says and just as he was starting to degrade Izio, Itsuka knocked him out. Kirishima though brags up his 'manly other bro's skills' and thinks about copying them a bit for his own fighting style.
Once the guards are dealt with, Izio advises that they leave. "Agreed! There are still more heads to be smashed!" Bartolomeo exclaims. But Izio advises avoiding conflict for the time being. And when Bartolomeo questions if he's afraid, Izio says, "no. Just practical, given they outnumber us 100 to 1."
A snort of laughter is let out with Sero commenting, "that sounds more like a Bakugo thing to say." Though the teachers agree with Izio's suggestion of avoiding conflict. "It does you no good to fight every guard you come across. Especially ill-armed as he is. Agreed, better to get to a different area and regroup," Midnight, Mic, and Aizawa say between themselves.
"As you wish bella mia!" Bartolomeo says in a teasing tone. They keep their distance from most of the guards, with the larger of the men getting antsy as time goes by. "Must. Break. Bones!" he mutters to himself as they make their way to his barracks. And he gets his wish as a group of guards are waiting for them.
Laughs are had again at Bartolomeo's agitation and wish to hurt someone. "And he pulled an 'unmanly' comment out when Izio advised against fighting." Mineta notes with a smirk. The two hard heads, 'gurk!' at him saying that and let out dry chuckles while quietly agreeing. Kamakiri smiles as the guards come out and says, "looks like the other you gets his wish!"
When the guards tell him to stand down if he wanted to live, Bartolomeo has an impassioned opinion about the matter. "Never! What good is a man's life if it's not lived free eh? I'll not go back into a cage!" With that the pair take out the guards that are around them.
"Damn right other me! Better to live by your own code and pride rather than back down! And the other me will show you how to live by that!" the hardheads say with huge smiles on their faces. Before Ida and Itsuka reign the two in and tell them to take it down a notch.
Once inside, they can see how the place was ransacked. Bartolomeo meanwhile was panicking about something. "Bianca! Bianca!" he calls out while digging though the wreckage. When Izio asks him if he was alright, Bartolomeo snaps at him. While still worrying about Bianca.
Setsuna perks up at that and wonders if this 'Bianca' had a counterpart on their side. 'It'll be perfect teasing material!' she thinks with a slightly devious smirk. The rest though applaud him for being so worried about a woman who could have been hurt. But they do question why it was so hard to find this girl.
"Ah-ha!" Bartolomeo says when he checks behind his desk. Reaching down and pulling out a very large sword. "Oh my darling! Thank God you're alright! Izio, meet Bianca. Bianca, Izio," the man says before gesturing with very large blade towards Izio's face. "Charmed," the assassin says while gently pushing the blade to the side.
The entire audience face faults and anime falls over at seeing what Bianca really was. "Oh come on!" Setsuna roars before she gets told to bring it down a notch. The rest though laugh at Tetsu's other self, naming his sword and treating it like a girl. "Think it's a metaphor? Maybe?" Mineta and Kosei say before the hard heads smack them. The others who recovered wondered if he'd be just as protective if he had a wife.
Bartolomeo then questions why Izio was in the district and helping him. And Izio tells him that he has business with Silvio and was told Bartolomeo could help. "Ah! It would be my honor," the man says with a big smile. Izio then notes that, "it's going to take more than the two – er three of us to weaken his forces. How do you suggest we proceed."
Another laugh is had at Izio's comment about the sword, but others are excited to see what the assassin will do to tip the scales in their favor. "Think he'll go after the captains or commanders? Maybe he'll focus on recruiting," are among the thoughts voiced as the video plays.
The silver haired man nods before saying, "I'll go and ready my men for battle. While I do this, I'd like you to rescue those who were captured during Silvio's assault. I cannot in good conscience leave them behind." Izio nods and will deal with it at once.
"Manly." Tetsutetsu says with a pat of his chest with his fist. He then says, "I'm with him. No way I leave any of them behind. Or any of you behind." Both members of the first-year hero classes smile and return the sentiment. Well the hero classes and one gen ed student.
As Izio frees Bartolomeo's men, some of them stay with him to keep up the fight as they free their brothers. Disarming or taking the weapons of fallen enemies as they keep freeing the others.
Tetsutetsu does a fist pump at seeing his men taking the fight to their captors. And respects Izio for his help in the rescue of his men and fighting alongside them all. 'That might be what it's like when we all go pro. And I'll have all their backs if they need it,' the metal teen thinks while looking at all of his classmates.
When Izio returns to the barracks, Bartolomeo and his men are ready for the fight to come. The assassin questions how they should proceed given the larger man has more experience. "We'd be massacred at the gates. I have something else in mind. Take my men and plant them throughout the district. The trouble they cause will force Silvio to dispatch most of his guards."
"And with the Arsenale drained of mercenaries, I can move in for the kill." Izio finishes with a smile. Bartolomeo agrees and notes he'd be unopposed. With that Izio guides the men to various regions through the district and when he is in position, he fires off a firework from the highest point to signal the start of the battle.
"A wise plan. Thin the enemy ranks and send in the most efficient member to finish the job." Nezu surmises while sipping his tea. Tetsutetsu preens a bit at the praise, and as Monoma build it up.
Then telling his classmate to give some respect to Izuku's counterpart as well. "Fine. I do agree that…. The assassin is the most efficient and best choice in this situation. Your sword alone would bring about some complications." Monoma says with a grumble.
Before he goes to Silvio though, Izio spots Bartolomeo in trouble. He leaps down to give him aid. "Care for some company? By all means!" the two banter as Izio engages Dante once more. Forcing the man to retreat. "Cuicciami I coglioni, muso da mona! Porca puttana! Come on, Izio! We need to stop that grassone Bastardo!"
A few snort at yet another very foul mouthed version of a 1-B student while Nejire covers Eri's ears. "We thought the prez was bad, but this version of Tetsu might be worse!" Setsuna says with a laugh directed the metal teen's way. He just shrugs and notes that his other self is a fighter. "No place for pretty words in a fight! Even less in a war like that!" Tetsutetsu says with a proud nod. One mirrored by his 1-A best bud.
Silvio meanwhile taunts from the top of the battlements while telling Dante to return. Bartolomeo tells Izio to go after the man. "That brute will no doubt lead you straight to his master!" he says while staying with his men to impede the guards.
Nezu doesn't have to comment on the wisdom this time as Tetsutetsu and Izuku saw it before anything was said. "You are the fastest among the troops. So, who better to deal with those guys. Agreed. And you would be best to lead your men against the last of the guards." The two say back and forth.
As Izio makes his way along the rooftops, he hears Silvio talking about trying to reach a boat. Worrying about it leaving without them and what treasures it will lead them to. "You won't escape that easily!" Izio thinks aloud before leaping from the top a building just right. And coming down up both me with his hidden blades.
A minor 'oohh' is let out at seeing Izuku's other self basically crashing down atop the fleeing villains. "But good way to finish it. Didn't have to fight anyone else and you made sure they couldn't get away." Bakugo compliments. Kamakiri says much the same while wishing he could figure out how to make a pair of blades just like Izio's.
This is when Izio questions what is going on. "What's happened here? Why the boats? I thought you sought the Doge's seat?" Silvio is defiant as he dies and says, "just a distraction. We were meant to sail…" But he refuses to tell where their destination was as he fades.
Dante though feels no more loyalty and tells Izio that Cypress was the destination. He tries to tell what they were after, but he life ebbs away quickly and cannot finish the statement. "Non temete l'oscurrita. Accettate il suo abbraccio. Requiescant in Pace."
Tetsutetsu nods and respects the final act of his former foe. "He fought for them and it cost him his life. But at the end, he chose to give some respect to his opponent and maybe get some minor redemption," the steel teen says before bowing his head at Izio's quick prayer.
With that, the Venice conspiracy was dealt with. And Bartolomeo and his men celebrate the victory. But Izio is unsure and uneasy about what has transpired. "I fear my work has just taken a rather strange turn." Izio says before explaining about the distraction and Silvio's attempts to leave. "I need to find out why." And the screen cuts to black.
"Well that's a bit unsettling to leave off on." Kaminari comments with a slight shiver. While most agree with him, others start to piece together what or who could be the villain that was controlling everything in this story. Predominantly, Momo, Ida, Jurota, and Juzo. Nezu meanwhile had surmised a few likely scenarios.
Before more discussions could be had about the end scene, the screen lights up again. It shows Izuku once again, but this time he seems to be holding up items to summon something. And another scene shows him alongside a duo of animal like humans before the timer comes up.
Eyebrows were raised and some were unsure of what to think before going for refills and bathroom breaks. "What other strange occurrences could happen to young Midoriya in the universes out there?" All Might thinks aloud before excusing himself.
Okay, lets be honest; it was too easy and too much fun to put Ibarra in the position of Teodora! I mean come on! And I was honestly going back and forth on whether to make Kirishima or Tetsutetsu into Bartolomeo. And when it came down to it, because of how much louder the iron head is, he seemed perfect for the role.
