Yay, I got a review! Thanks! And here's another poem, from Kagome's perspective. Again, it's a bit long; one and a quarter (or so) pages when I wrote it on Word. Anyway, enjoy!

Why do You Run

In the past

In the past

There was that ill-fated wish

To live a transformed life

That brought anger, betrayal, despair

All hope fell from the air

To drown in the sea.

In the present

The present

I'm here with you

To help you learn again

To help you live and love again

Each smile you show I treasure

Before it melts into the snow.

Then you turn your head

I'm lost to you

You spring away

You disappear once more

How can I go on like this

Knowing your heart lies somewhere else?

Why do you run away?

Why can't you stay and learn

Of the heart that beats for you

That longs for what isn't felt

Why do you refuse to see

That all that's left of her

Is a spirit, a wandering spirit

That won't rest until you fall?

Stumbling upon you

My heart begins to freeze

Why can't you feel

The coldness of her hand?

Why can't you hear

The anger in her voice?

Can't you see

The sorrow in her eyes?

Why don't you know

That the one you knew

Is buried in the Sands of Time.

Coming back

Coming back

To me

Can't you see the faith

That wavers in these eyes

Can't you read the wistful smile

Bestowed upon you?

They echo my feelings

They reflect my fading hope.

Sailing through the blue of Time

For the last Time

I see your face

And shed tears over a love that is lost to me

Why couldn't you have seen

Why did you destroy my dreams?

So I take my heart

And lock it away

Until we meet again

Under the stars of Fate.

Hm, kinda angsty, no? Oh well, hope you liked. R&R!
