–WFI–Chapter 27 Tuesday, August 31

The boys were trying to enjoy the last day of freedom, as they called it. Em was playing school with her stuffy and dolls. Logan left for work early. After the Shira incident, he needed to meet with his lawyers, Dillon and Ryan. He and Rory talked last night after everyone left. Logan is going to call Max Medina the headmaster at Chilton. He will be sending additional security. Logan has one person on his security team that is assigned to the school during the school year. This person also goes on any field trip or class activities the boys attend. This year with Em, he had already planned to add an additional person.

When Logan got to the office, John was already there. "You're early this morning John," Logan said.

"Yes sir. I got a call from Dillon last night about Shira being arrested. I wanted to get in early so that I could remind everyone of the need for security. I know that we get lax sometimes. I just wanted to make sure everyone is vigilant."

Logan nodded. "I need to set up a meeting today at their earliest convenience, with Dillon, Ryan, see if you can get Collin to fly in, if not set up a video meeting. I also need the police report from last night."

Rory was sitting out by the pool enjoying watching the kids play. This will be her last day of freedom also. Bailey was sitting at the edge of the pool, watching the kids. Evelyn brought lemonade and plastic cups for the kids. "I will fix sandwiches for lunch unless you have something else in mind." Evelyn told her.

"That sounds great. You can bring it out here. We will have a picnic." Rory told Evelyn.

Logan called Rory. Asked if she wanted to be in on this meeting. He advised that it was scheduled for 1:30 if she wanted to come. He also told her that Shira had made bail. Her new man posted bail. Bond restrictions state she is not to be within 1000 feet of any Huntzburger property. "Do you have someone at the gate?" Rory asked.

"Yes," Logan said.

"I'll call you if I decide to come." She told him.

Rory ate lunch with the kids and Bailey. After lunch, she told Evelyn that she was going to Logan's office for a meeting. She asked Evelyn to keep an eye out and call her if there is a problem. She then told Bailey not to take the kids anywhere and to have them ready to go to the open house at 5:00.

Logan moved the meeting to his conference room. He called Mitchum and asked him to attend. John was getting everything set up when Rory entered.

"Hey," John said. "Logan is still in his office," John told her.

Rory walked in and sat down and pulled a book out of her purse. "I will be fine right here. Thanks." She told him. Johns finished up and asked if she would like a cup of coffee. She nodded and he left the room.

Logan was on the phone when John entered his office. He left a note on Logan's desk that Rory was in the conference room. When Logan hung up the phone, he called John. "Why didn't you tell her to come to my office?" Logan asked.

"I did," John told him. "She told me that she was good. She is sitting in there reading."

Logan got up and went to the conference room. "Hey." He said.

Rory looked up from her book and smiled. "Hey yourself," She said.

"Why didn't you come to my office?" He asked.

"Because I wanted to relax and read for a minute. Is that not okay?" She asked.

"No, that is fine, are you sure nothing is wrong?" Logan asked.

"No, there is a lot wrong. My children start school tomorrow with a security guard. I am worried about Karson,"

Before she could finish, Ricky walked in. "I just heard the last part. I'm also worried. Since I have both of you here, We are delaying moving into the house. I have to go to London in September. I want her in the pool house. At least until this is sorted out." Ricky said.

"You and Karson are welcome to stay in the pool house as long as you want," Rory told him. "In fact, If you want to live there we can expand," she told him.

Logan and Ricky just smiled. "I don't think that will be necessary. Rory, we are only going to be in the house behind you. We will put a gate in the fence." Ricky said. Logan was trying not to laugh.

Dillon and Ryan showed up together. They had been meeting together. John came in with his laptop. He put Collin on the big screen. When everyone got settled, Logan stood up. "I believe everyone is up-to-date on the latest events. Shira showed up at our house last night and was arrested." Logan said.

"She is out on bond with stipulation restrictions 1000 ft from any Huntzburger property," Ryan said.

"So, she can come to my house and threaten my children, but still get out on bail?" Rory asked.

"She threatened the kids?" Mitchum asked. This was news to him.

"She made sure that I knew that she has seen Em," Rory said. Mitchum stood up, then sat back down. He felt like he needed to do something. He just didn't know what. Collin started asking lawyer questions.

About 4:30, Rory stood up. "The kids have open house tonight and we have a meeting with Max." She said looking at Logan. "I'm going to head home. Do you think you could meet us at the school?" Rory asked.

Logan nodded. Rory got up and left. When she was gone, Logan spoke up. "Somebody fix this."

"I think you should set up a meeting with Sheila Goodyear, Kimberly Mansfield, Tristan Dugray, and us. I think we all have questions that need to be answered." Ricky said.

"I agree," Mitchum said.

"Okay, I need as much information as you can find on Shelia Goodyear, her deceased husband Michael, and her deceased son Austin Michael. Also include information on Kimberly Mansfield and her husband. Not sure of his name. I need everything you can find. Go ahead and get me as much information as you can on Tristian Dugray also." Logan said and stood up. "I'm going to open house."

Logan was waiting in the parking lot for Rory and the kids. Bailey was with her. A black SVU followed her into the parking lot. Logan helped get Em out of the car. "Are you ready to meet your teacher?" He asked.

She smiled. "Karson said they didn't let her have me so I will have other teacher."

Logan laughed. "Yes, someone else gets to experience Emily Huntzburger."

The boys walked with them to meet Em's teacher. She was introduced. Her teacher, Ms. Gina told Em "Ms. Karson had told her all about you." Em just smiled. She was a little nervous.

While the para pro was showing Em and Rory her cubby, Logan was talking with Ms. Gina. "You have been briefed on the situation with the extra security?" He asked. She told him they had a meeting today. She has all the information. Logan made sure she had his number as well as Rory.

They had several teachers to meet with the boys. Everyone is aware of the extra security. After meeting all the teachers, Logan sent the kids home with Bailey. He and Rory have a meeting with Max Madina.

When they got to his office, he was ready for them. They discussed the extra security. HPG would have two security personnel at school at all times. The school will be hiring extra security also, sending the invoice to HPG. Everyone agreed.

Rory and Logan left to go eat before heading home. Logan tried talking to Rory. She was not very talkative.
