Chapter 18: The End of the Date

"Sure enough, I want you to take care of me!" Umaru said sincerely.

"Go away!" Shido gently pushed the other party away, then glanced at Mayuri next to him, and he was relieved to see that she didn't mind.

After all, it was his first date with Mayuri, so it would be bad if he gave her a bad impression.

"The other girl with her…is Rinne?" Mayuri looked up at Shido in a serious expression.

"Yeah, she's Rio's mother..." Shido said helplessly. If this was the case, he didn't know how to react.

"I didn't know Rinne had a daughter." Mayuri laughed suddenly.

"You know about her?" Shido asked in surprise, standing up on instinct.

"Yes, Rinne is just like me, an extra Spirit created by the Spirit of Origin!" Mayuri held out her lilac finger and pointed it upwards. "She's born to love you, just like me~"

Shido was flabbergasted by the breaking news, unable to make a response for a while. He suddenly felt a headache, as if trying really hard to remember the girl mentioned, but it seemed unsuccessful,

The atmosphere was silent in the Itsuka Household.

"Well, that's everything I know about her." Mayuri shook her head in shame. "After all, I only know her existence, but I don't know what happened between you two."

"It's okay, I guess it will take time to remember her…" Shido smiled, and quickly kissed Mayuri. Before she could respond, he had returned to his original position.'

Blushing deeply, Mayuri covered her kissed lips and stomped her cute feet.

"I didn't expect you to become like this, Shido." Mayuri lowered her head, pouting. "I used to think you were the meek type, but now you have become such a pervert!"

Mayuri's body started glowing in particles of light, and disappeared into the void. Shido knew that she must have returned to the world over there.

For some reason, the particles of light surrounding her figure were not in the color of gold, but pink.

Shido raised a smile, patted his face, and cheered up. Mayuri said that she wanted him to be happy and smile more, so he naturally couldn't turn it down.

By the way, Mayuri's way of coaxing him felt like coaxing a child, but oddly he didn't mind either.

Slowly opening her eyes, Mayuri saw herself on top of the Fuji Mountain.

What is this place?

Mayuri started examining the surroundings, and found a hut nearby. In front of its door, there stood a girl with pink hair, intense pink eyes, and slender figure. "Rinne?" Mayuri was surprised, holding out her hand as well. "Nice to meet you, Rinne-san."

The two Spirits shook hands politely with a smile.

"Nice to meet you, Mayuri-san."

The third person appeared from behind the door. It was a little girl with plum hair, and she had an easy-going smile on her cute little face.

"Oh, this is my daughter, Rio." Rinne smiled as she introduced her daughter to Mayuri. "She's very eager to meet you."

"The pleasure is mine, Rio-chan." Mayuri knelt down and smiled as she looked at Rio in the same eye level. Then, she flocked a golden hair behind her ears and asked:

"Mind explaining to me why Shido is in this world?"

Mayuri asked with a smile.

"Gladly, and…"

Rinne took off her veil, revealing her silky pink hair.

"We will help you reactivate your Angel, along with its special abilities."

Saying that, she handed Mayuri a tiny black sphere-like object. It had a pair of wings attached to its back, a huge eye in the middle of its body, and tremendous amount of energy on its surface.

"Kerubiel..."

Mayuri murmured in a shocked tone.
