Chapter 9
Concert time.
Sukuna was forced to attend because Suiryu ordered it, at the same time, he was revolted by it all. The knock off wore his robe, displayed his curse marks for all to see and yet, he was oddly conservative tonight. "I was requested by the monks of the temple near by not to bare so much flesh tonight… I'll honor the request but damn, this thing is going to get hot…"
"You disgust me." Sukuna said with a sneer.
"In other words my look is perfect, thanks for that!" Suiryu announced as he decided it was time to get the show started.
He has been wondering why he was dragged to this, perhaps it was partly because of the incident with Kiyoshi. But, he won't call it a victory just yet. Sukuna knows there is much work to be done and he doesn't have the boy's trust completely. But it grows slowly, each and every day. It won't be long now until he can take the child for his own needs.
Finally a vessel that not even the brat or knock off would destroy!
He jumped out of his train of thought when he heard the speakers suddenly turn on, the feedback alone was tormenting until he was able to use jujutsu over his ears. Sukuna peered out and saw there were thousands of humans here. "What amusement is this? They come to see him for what?" he muttered.
The show soon started. Suiryu commanded the stage with such an aura, Sukuna was even stunned to feel that as well. Yet, as he continued to sing, there was something… off about all of this. He felt curse energy suddenly surge and then… vanish.
"That's not possible…" he muttered.
Throughout the night he felt this sensation surge out of the humans, this curse energy and then… it vanishes. Nothing forms, no curse comes to feed off of this abundance of energy, it… just disappears without notice.
"Why… does this feel familiar to me?"
He kept trying to figure out this phenomenon, until a song caught his attention. Suiryu was quick to explain to the crowd this new one he has. "If any of you know anything about me… you know I have a twin brother." He said. The crowd cheered and clapped. "However, my bro has been through hell more times than anyone I know, more times than I care to know and yet… he still stands as strong as ever. This next song is for him, and to those who tried to bring him down and take him out! HIT IT!"
The lyrics came out of him, fast and furious. Sukuna knew they were directed at him, they were too on point in his mind.

The humans ate it all up.
They were screaming his name, cheering him for the offering of this strange music, and yet…
"I didn't think he would play that one so soon…"
He turned and saw Satoru Gojo smiling from ear to ear. "He really hit you with that one huh? A little threatening and yet empowering my Itadori."
"Who cares," Sukuna snapped back. "Why is he even doing this? What is the purpose of making a spectacle of yourself? For humans no less…"
"Well, perhaps I shouldn't be telling you this. But this is a plan Suiryu wanted to test out. After all, curse energy is negative emotions and what not released into the world. Sorcerers don't do such a thing and yet, they fear your name more than anything else. NOW, considering humans outnumber sorcerers, he wondered if your name was celebrated like this, cheered and releases positive energy… would it affect yours?"
He was silent on the matter, Sukuna said not a word as he continued to try and understand what was happening before his eyes.
None of it made sense anymore.
"This is impossible…" he muttered. "Curse and divine jujutsu cannot be used together for they are opposites, this is divine energy isn't it?"
"Nope!" Gojo said with a proud smile. "I would know, my wife gave me a blindfold that allows me to see divine energy, this isn't it."
"Then it makes even less sense!" Sukuna protested. "What is going on here…"
He continued to watch on, trying to observe and understand what becomes of the curse energy dispelled by these humans, but he couldn't fathom the significance. He spent hours trying to understand, and yet…
"What the hell is going on…" he growled.
The concert came to an end, but the grand finally just disgusted Sukuna to his core. "Before I leave you here tonight, I have an announcement, but first…" he paused and looked about the crowd, his face contorted to that of a wicked look. He licked his lips before jumping from the stage and into the crowd. "Oh where, oh where are they… AH! YOU!" the mortals stepped back, revealing his prey.
That damn woman with the orange hair!
He said nothing more but grabbing her suddenly and hoisting her on to his shoulder! He then walked back up on stage with the girl, before he set her down. She turned red out of embarrassment. "Oh please, this isn't embarrassing for you. But this will be…" he got on one knee!
The mortals erupted into cheers as he did, the girl was stunned beyond belief as the knockoff reached into his robe and took out a small box. "My light, my love, my Nobara… Standing before me, basking in the light and beauty of this land. I humbly ask you, not as a rock star, not as a model, but merely a man in love. Will you marry me?"
Of course, she said yes.
The sights alone sicken Sukuna. He never would have…
BADUM
His heart… why does his heart ach again!
"Damn it!" he cursed and had to support himself against a wall. Why… why the hell does his heart hurt so much!? "I knew there was a reason why I didn't care for that organ…"
"Ooo heartache?"
He sneered, nearly forgetting the six eyes has yet to leave him. "None of your concern…"
"Actually it is… Suiryu and Yuuji mentioned it, the binding vow over your heart, but here's the kicker… there's more than one."
He paused. Sukuna turned and glared at the six eyes who had his blindfold off and stared at the left side of his chest. "Yep, there is more than one, but they are laced together to form a rather strong bond over your heart. Whoever did that, really wanted to ensure that stayed there… but here's the thing, that's not your curse energy, which means. You didn't do that to yourself. Someone did it to you."
This… didn't make sense.
Who would be…
He paused to consider it, but Sukuna's mind… his head began to throb!
Visions came to mind, someone standing before him, stating. "You've been held back long enough… let me do you a favor…"
Sukuna suddenly gasped, as he broke free from the memory.
However, the six eyes stared at him, bewildered. "What's wrong with you?" he asked curiously. "Something just… spasm in you…"
"Tch, it's nothing…"
"Really, for a moment, you appeared scared to death."
"SHUT UP!" he snapped back. "If this event is done, I am leaving…"
He decided to leave while he could, before any more heart complications came up again. Still, this has never happened to him before, and they are getting worst. "Time is not on my side… perhaps it's best to strike sooner than later…"
