Chapter 12
With the concert over, it was time to tie up a loose end.
Suiryu was waiting in the village square with the other farmers. They kept the look on their face of utter defeat, as Suiryu ordered. The businessman arrived on time as he bore a devious grin. "Ah, have we come to settle? I'll be honest, the value of your land has greatly diminished in the time it took for you to respond."
Suiryu peered at him, but then smirked. "Has it? Funny thing, I got a friend in law who stated that the land around here… is protected and sacred. If that's the case, then how could it possibly go up for sale? As well, there is a generation clause written in the deed of the land from the farmer's grandparents. As long as the land is inherited, it cannot be sold." Suiryu said. "But what do I know. I'm no lawyer."
The suit froze, his smirk vanished for a moment, but quickly recovered. "Damn right you're no lawyer." He said and smiled victoriously.
"But he is!" the farmers parted as a tall man with a rather unusual face came before the suit. "Let me introduce to you a friend of my brother's. Hiromi Higuruma. Sir, if you please…" Suiryu stepped aside but prepared for the fireworks.
Higuruma has a look on his face that he is tried of it all, tired of the rat race he is forced to run constantly and appeared to want to get things over with as soon as possible. Yet, with his appearance, it catches those off guard when he starts handing them paper work, can perfectly explain the clause in each contract, land ownership, protected lands among other things. The man in the suit soon had his arms full of documents and papers. "Now, that we got the nitty gritty stuff done, we can go to the more server items on the docket."
"WHAT!?" The businessman demanded. "What do you mean this is the nitty gritty stuff!?"
Higuruma, without batting an eye explained. "What I just presented to you is all the legal documentation on every square inch of this land, the farmer's and what is considered protected and sacred land. You will have to go over, survey each section with a surveyor appointed by the government to verify what we are saying at your own expense, there are roughly twenty rural farm areas within the first few miles of this place alone that you were aiming for, that's just the north of us. SOUTH of is has a different geography, East…"
Suddenly, the papers dropped, the man in the suit glared at Higuruma and Suiryu. "You… none of you could have afforded this! This is all legal filler to get me to spend more money!"
"Yes and no." Higuruma said gently. "The survey of the land has been done, here's the documentation on that, we went through a third party system as well as a very long distance surveyor so there would be no conflict of interests. Ours came from Tokyo, you are more than welcome to speak with them on the matter."
"None of these farmers could afford such a thing!"
"But I could," said Suiryu as he bore a devious grin. "Do I not look familiar to you or something?"
Suiryu took the taboo off his face, when the suit realized who he was, his face went pale. "If this a battle with yen, you're going to lose to me. I don't like to lose, and I got enough money to go toe to toe with the likes of you. So, with that being said. You want to continue this fight? OR are you going to compensate my friends here for the mental damage you have caused them and their families?"
"Mental damage?!"
"Indeed, for months you have caused my friends mental anguish at the thought of losing their precious family land that has been in their family for generations! You can't possibly think I am going to let you go scotch free on this…" Suiryu began to look at him with a rather stern and yet, demonic look. "That or I'll take you to court myself."
"TCH!" the businessman sneered. "How much…" he muttered.
Suiryu paused to think it over. "Higuruma, how much did he offer to buy their land for?"
Higuruma took out the paper work. "Hmmm, this isn't right… by his report here, he was willing to pay only 3,000 yen per square kilometre… Now we had the land appraised, in fact some of these farmers grow a very rare crop here, by the value of that alone, the land is worth over 1 million yen per square kilometer."
Even the farmers were stunned to the news of this, but then they glared at the businessman who suddenly looked very nervous. "It was a… honest mistake…" he tried to choke out.
"No, it wasn't, it was business." Suiryu said in an annoyed tone. "SO, as such, here is what you are going to do… Mr. Suit. You are going to be giving my friends here a gift. Since my friends here are not the least bit greedy, you are going to offer them a one time apology gift of ten million yen…. EACH" he emphasized the last part.
"But…"
"Or I take you to court, and take EVERYTHING you got. And trust me, I will… because I'm greedy." Suiryu warned.
Ah, the look of utter defeat!
He sighed off on many cheques. Handing them off to the farmers reluctantly before he was forced to turn tail and run. When he was out of sight. Suiryu turned to the farmers. "Let's go into the city, get that in your accounts NOW," he insisted.
The farmers were moved to tears. "Is… is there anything you want?" they asked of him. "We can give you half…"
Suiryu waved it off. "If anything, whatever is surplus from your farms after making your profit and covering all living expenses, if we can have the extras you grow… I'll be grateful."
The farmers froze.
"That's… that's all you want?"
"I don't need a lot of things," Suiryu said.
They were reduced to tears, they promised to grow plenty this year. With the task done and over with, Suiryu made his way back to the domain with Higuruma close behind him. He was actually smiling. "I didn't think that would work."
"Get to know me, a lot of stuff that shouldn't work, does." Suiryu said with a proud grin on his face. "Thanks for your help on that, Yuuji was right to pick you as his guardian."
"Still in training, by the way I got to go back now, no doubt Kitsune is waiting for me… until then..." There was burst of black smoke, then a little fox appeared in that smoke but vanished shortly after.

Suiryu just returned to the domain when there came a commotion. "You've changed… you're stronger… HOW!" apparently, Sukuna has noticed the change in Yua. He sensed it too after she had Shin and was able to recover from childbirth.
"I don't know, okay? Back off!" Yua snapped back.
Suiryu got in a little closer as Gojo tried to keep the peace in a sense. "Fight me Tooru!"
"I'm not fighting you!" she snapped back.
"Actually…" Suiryu said aloud. Sukuna froze as he came between them. Suiryu looked over Yua once more before looking to Sukuna. "You sure you want to do that?" he asked of him. "You know she's stronger than before… is this really a good idea on your part?"
"Suiryu…" Yua said nervously.
Sukuna on the other hand was grinning from ear to ear. "Are you suggesting she's STRONGER than me?"
Suiryu smiled back. "No. I'm not saying that at all. I'm just saying you're weaker than her."
His eye twitched.
Suiryu has woken the beast now, his glare turned back to Yua. "Fight me… here and now to prove he's wrong!"
Yua hesitated, yet as she looked to Suiryu, he smiled to her and nodded his head. "He's asking for it, you may as well kick his ass."
She took a deep breath. "What are the rules?"
"YUA!" Gojo protested.
Sukuna smiled victoriously. "It won't be to the death, since apparently I am not permitted to kill you. I would be happy with first blood." His smile continue to grow.
"Your funeral." Suiryu muttered. "But if we are going to do this, let's do this right…" he stepped away from them for a moment, taking a deep breath, Suiryu roared aloud. "SORCERER FIGHT! COME WATCH IT NOW!"
His voice echoed in the domain, but, before long, those within had gathered…
