Chapter 4
Toga: OH! I missed you SOOO Much, Deku~! You're still as cute as ever, right Ochako~?
She was too shocked and drained to reply. It's a wonder how she hasn't passed out at this point.
Toga: And what do you think, huh? Am I still the adorable villainess you know and… TOLERATE…
Her left eye twitches from the phrase.
Izuku: On the contrary, I am very much annoyed by your actions as of late. I'm guessing the good prisoner act you were putting on was a farce from the beginning?
Toga: As if they can collar me like some rabid animal. Do you know how hard it was to sit still and act like a perfect little goodie-goodie? And don't get me started on those jumpsuits! SO not cute!
Izuku: Well then, we'll have to make sure that you're put into a sparkly, pink straight jacket when we go back.
Toga: Go back? HAH! You're hilarious Dek-
He grabs the head of "Mr. Manakin" and uses Overhaul to blast it apart.
Izuku: Does it look like I'm joking?
Toga's eye twitches a bit more as she starts to frown.
Toga: I… I don't understand… Why did you break out just to take me back? Why would you ever want to go back!? We're free! With our abilities, we can go wherever we want! Do whatever we want! KILL whoever we want!
Izuku: There IS no WE. Has it ever crossed your mind that I never wanted to be a killer!?
Toga: That's dumb! Why else would you join the League!?
Izuku: Because that's what they do! They scrape up the broken pieces of society and group them together with other bloodthirsty, homicidal, parental issued people and then are unleashed upon the world! I joined because I was bullied for being Quirkless! I was told by everyone that I couldn't be a hero! I only joined because I wanted to hurt the people who hurt me! I never wanted anyone DEAD!
Toga: Then… then why did you stay with us… for so long you stayed with us…
Izuku: Because I knew that if the heroes had any chance to stop the League, maybe I could help!
Toga: … You… HELPED… the heroes… You… you leaked our information…
Realization dawns on her as she looks back at everything they've been through. He had leaked to the heroes about the training camp, which resulted in the Wild Wild Pussycats still being a whole unit. He had leaked their location when they had captured Bakugo, resulting in not only All For One's defeat, but also Kuroguri's capture. He destroyed the Quirk erasure bullets after they had their run in with the Shie Hassaikai. He had sent all the information the heroes needed to round up not only most of the League, but the Meta-Liberation Army as well, during which Twice had been captured, and the League was forced to scatter. He had been the source of their downfall since she had met him. The reason why the League had been captured 1 by 1, including the doctor. He had caused the destruction of the armies of Nomu that were prepared. He brought about the capture of Gigantomachia. Everything was his fault.
Toga: It was you… this whole time… it was you… You tore us apart…
Izuku: The results would have been worse had I not been there. I managed to get the revenge I needed… All Might was forced into a quicker retirement, I got to show Bakugo I wasn't useless, but after that… If I had left, I knew things would have only gotten worse.
Toga: We could have had EVERYTHING.
She curls her fists as her eyes tear up.
Izuku: No, we wouldn't. That's what the League never got. The only answer you guys ever had to everything was to kill and destroy whatever was in your path. You wanted a new world order, but how was that going to happen after you all turned everything into ash!? If not you specifically, then the war with the heroes you'd go up against! Or whoever would be left to avenge everything you destroyed! It's a cycle of destruction and retaliation that I had to put an end to! I let myself be captured JUST so that the children of today didn't have to look over their shoulders in case a villain decided to attack! So that they can live with their families in peace! SO THAT A CHILD DIDN'T HAVE TO BE WITHOUT HIS PARENTS!
Ochako tears up, despite her weakened state. Tsukaeru listened intently, shocked at how much good a villain had accomplished.
Toga: … That's why… you did it… because of HIM… and because of HER!
She flings her knife towards Ochako. It would have nailed her between her eyes had some unknown force stopped the knife in mid-air. It slowly flew towards Izuku's hand.
Izuku: That was close… Thanks mom…
Toga pulls out 5 small vials, filled with blood in each, and quickly downs them.
Toga: I was saving these for a special occasion… I'm going to make you the not-cute type of bloody for everything you've done…
Her body starts to shift and morph in weird ways. An indented line forms down her forehead to her nose and parts of her hair become a yellower blonde, like Twice. Parts of her skin, including around her lips become dry and chapped as one of her eyes turns red, similarly to Shigaraki. Her neck and other parts of her skin take on a burnt appearance as black hair grows among the blonde, reminding Izuku of Dabi. She begins to grow taller, as tall as Mr. Compress was. Finally, her hands turn green and scaly with claws and her feet rip out of her shoes, looking similar. Her other teeth next to her fangs become sharpened as her other eye grows a slit. A tail grows from her skirt and parts of the rest of her hair sprout upwards and turn purple, just like Spinner's. As she speaks, it's like hearing several people talking layered over each other.
Toga: IzUkU… FoR CrImEs AgAiNsT ThE LeAgUe, I SeNtEnCe YoU tO DeAtH!
She rushes at him with incredible speed, forcing him to use Quick Surge before she can get her hands on him. She leaps off of what was left of "Mr. Manakin" and at him as blue fire shoots from her hands. Izuku makes an Air Wall to block her and the fire, but as she lands on the floor, she sweeps her new tail under him, making him fall and drop the Air Wall. She reaches down, but he manages to roll out of the way as she touches the floor, making it turn to ash as she uses Shigaraki's Decay. He kicks her back, forcing her to bring her arms up to block. She touches several of the manakins, turning them into marbles before throwing them at him and making them come back out. Using Bullet Laser, he shoots them to pieces before they can hit him, but it was a distraction as she makes 5 clones of herself with Twice's Double. They all battle cry as they charge him, now a 6 on 1 fight.
Izuku: This is getting out of hand! I need to direct this fight away from Ochako!
He Quick Surges backwards to lead her… them… away from the fake bar. They fall for the bait, clawing and blasting fire at him as others use Compress on objects nearby, just to throw at him. As they fight, Tsukaeru sneaks in quietly, sneaking into the fake bar to help Ochako.
Ochako: T-Tsukaeru… what… what are you-
Tsukaeru: I swear, mom, I didn't know that guy was Deku! He just told me he was going to help you and I let him into the apartment and I talked to him on your wall phone and-
Ochako: You need… you need to get… get out of here… call the… call the heroes…
Tsukaeru: I already called the police and gave them the location, but I couldn't just leave you here!
He managed to get the gloves off, but she was still chained down and weak.
Tsukaeru: C'mon… key… key… key, where would she hide a key?!
Ochako: Vest…
Tsukaeru: What? Vest?
She points at the manikin of Deku which had been shot apart. The vest was burnt, and from a pocket in it, he can see part of a metal key poking out. He quickly grabs it and gets back to work.
Meanwhile, Izuku was fighting hard against the Team of Toga's. They were as acrobatic as all the League members combined as they tried to burn, disintegrate, smash, and claw at him.
Izuku: She's trying to overwhelm me, but she's not the only one with multiple Quirks at her disposal!
He uses Pump Up on himself, growing to All Might's height and bulk as he slams his hands on the ground, making a spiked arena around them with Overhaul. They all leap from spike to spike, trying to avoid getting pierced as he starts shooting at them all with Bullet Laser.
Toga's: KiLl YoU!/ BlEeD YoU!/ MaKe YoU DeAd! TrAiToR!
He manages to grab a Toga clone by the arm and throw her into the air. He smirks as the clone explodes with the force of a powerful grenade.
Toga's: WHAT!?
Izuku: Something I picked up during your fight with Curious when we fought the Meta-Liberation Army!
Using Landmine, he had turned the Toga clone into a bomb. Because clones are weaker than the original with Twice's Quirk, that particular clone was now a gray mush, leaving 4 clones and the original Toga to deal with. They snarl hatefully as they all blast blue fire at him, forcing him to put up a new Air Wall to block. He tries to keep track of them with Heat Seaking, but because of the fire, he couldn't see that Toga prime was making her way back to Ochako and Tsukaeru. His son had managed to free Ochako, but Toga was quickly catching up to their position. Ochako saw this and grabbed Tsukaeru. With all her strength, she tossed him across the room as blue flames hit her back. She screams in pain, reaching Deku's ears. His eyes glowed brightly as his arena of spikes exploded outward. His Pump Up makes him swell 3 times All-Might's height as his clothes rip and muscles become exposed. With the swing of his hand, he used Overhaul on all the clones in the way before using an Air Wall to springboard back to the bar like a human cannonball, slamming into Toga with a monstrous roar. Using Overhaul again, he broke her down and built her back up before using Landmine on her and then building her back up again. He started to ruthlessly beat her down with hatred, even using Bullet Laser at close range, just to keep beating her over and over again. He prepares to use Overhaul 1 more time on her, not planning on using it to bring her back this time, when a shout rings in his ears.
Tsukaeru: MOM!
He pauses, looking over his shoulder to see Ochako fall to the floor, back smoking. He turns back to Toga, knocking her out, before rushing over to the burnt hero, ceasing his use of Pump Up.
Izuku: Get her on her belly!
Tsukaeru, too in shock to argue, does as he's told. The burns are deep. With her blood loss, and lack of proper care, this would be fatal.
Izuku: You'll be ok, Ochako! Just stay awake! Just stay with me!
Focusing all of his energy, he uses the only Quirk left that he had managed to take from Nine. He presses his hands to an unharmed part of her hand and green flakes start to sparkle up from her wounds.
Tsukaeru: W-What are you doing to her?
Izuku: A long time ago… There was a villain who attempted to steal a Quirk called Cell Activation from a citizen… The Quirk activates cells that enhance cell growth and encourage regeneration.
As he speaks, the burns start to go away, as well as the scars Toga had inflicted on her body. Even her flesh began to regain color.
Izuku: Unfortunately for the villain, the Quirk didn't work because the villain's blood was Type B… it wasn't compatible… But because my Blood is Type O-
Tsukaeru: Type O is a Universal Donor… which means that you're able to use the Quirk.
Izuku: Exactly… Although, there is 1 drawback to… to using the Quirk… on extensive damage like this… right… after a… fight…
His eyes start to flutter close as he finishes up repairing the damage to Ochako. Once he was done, he collapses to his side, passing out. Tsukaeru stares in shock, first at the repair done to his mom, and then to the man he didn't know was his father. The man who had escaped the greatest prison in the world, found and saved his mom, and stopped a super villain. A man many would call a super villain. To him, however… This man is his hero.
The police came soon after with the Pros of 1A in tow. They had heard that Deku, the criminal genius, had escaped Tartarus. They were going to split their efforts until Tsukaeru's call came in. They had rushed to the scene, late to the fight, seeing Ochako covered by Tsukaeru's jacket, Toga back to her original form and chained down by the chains used to hold Ochako, and the villain who had just escaped, laying on the floor, unconscious. Izuku and Toga were put in Quirk suppression cuffs as they were trucked back to Tartarus while Tsukaeru went with his mom to the hospital in an ambulance. Ochako, despite her torture and near death, was actually fairly healthy thanks to Cell Activation, but was brought to the hospital for observation and testing anyway. Tsukaeru stayed by her side as much as he could. He was told off by the police and heroes, for running off with a supervillain to find another supervillain, but he didn't care. His mom was back and he was happy she was alive. They wanted to take him home after Ochako was settled into her hospital room, but Tsukaeru was adamant to stay by her side as morning began to encroach on the city. Despite not having slept in what felt like forever, neither mother nor son felt tired as the events of the last few days were finally being digested. He sat next to her hospital bed as they decided to talk about what had happened.
Tsukaeru: -And… that's when we found you.
Ochako: I should be mad that you meddled in the affairs of the police and heroes and followed me to a villain's hideout and risked your life… but that would be hypocritical of me, considering my own experience from my UA days… despite your disregard for police and hero proceedings… I can't help but be proud of you… You solved a case that had everyone else stumped… Almost by yourself, as well…
Tsukaeru: Yeah… speaking of… What is the situation with Mr. Ya- I mean… Deku?
Ochako: Sighing He'll probably be put back in prison and given a longer sentence for escaping, destruction of federal property and child endangerment-
Tsukaeru: Not that… What IS he to you? You had a personal line with him in prison, he called you by your first name, he even risked his life and a longer prison sentence just to save you… Just, who is he!?
Ochako: … Jeez, I wish this was under better circumstances… Ok… Ok… I'll tell you… The man you know as Deku is named Izuku Midoriya… He was Qurikless before getting entangled with the League, where their leader, All for One, gave him a Quirk… which will be explained later. You've already heard about his sort of double agent thing he had with the League of Villains, if you can call it that, but through it all… he and I met. I was in my first year at UA and he had just started with the League. They came to blows with my class and heroes over the years, and then he specifically had run-ins with me and my class after we graduated… Whenever WE came to blows… it was different… we weren't fighting each other, trying to kill or arrest each other… sometimes, we just chased… the more we chased each other around, the more we talked… The more we learned more about each other from our pasts, to our fears, to our hopes and dreams… 1 day… after we had met up on a particularly bad day for him… I gave him some news which motivated him to do better… beginning with him turning himself in… After I told him the news… he walked straight to Tartarus… and surrendered…
Tsukaeru: … What was that news?
She takes his hands in hers, looking at him in the eyes, tearing up.
Ochako: I told him… he was going to be a father…
Once more, Tsukaeru's life had flipped onto its head as he realized one of the greatest villains in the world, the man who had helped him only hours previously, was the father who had gone missing from his life.
Tsukaeru: H-he's me… Deku is… he's…
Ochako: And you know something… I never regretted it… When I told him the news, his eyes shone in a way I had never seen before… and then he thought about what kind of future you would be subjected to… He and I talked and it was HIS idea to turn himself in. He said he wanted to make sure that you would have a normal life… Well, as normal as things can be in this world of ours, but the point is… he believed that if you were to have a happy, healthy life… he shouldn't be there to drag you down with his misdeeds…
Tsukaeru: He… he could have gone anywhere in the world… just… slipped out of society… but he decided to go to prison… just to make sure you wouldn't worry… and to make sure I would stay safe…
Ochako: Yes… I would call him once in a while to tell him about you…
She tears up and smiles a little.
Ochako: I know it's a lot to take in… but I want you to know, despite what you may feel about him… he is SO proud of the man you're becoming…
He starts to tear up as well, hugging Ochako as the duo start to sob together.
Back at Tartarus, Izuku didn't know why, but he felt himself tearing up. He was back in his cell under heavy observation and watched as a court hearing in the face of his escape was being put together. Meanwhile, further above, Toga was processed and began her long walk through Tartarus' maximum security ward, passing by her fellow League members.
Twice: TOGA! YOU'RE BACK! I MISSED YOU SO MUCH!/ Ugh, I can't believe you're back. You got caught so easily?!
Toga: It's all DEKU'S FAULT! HE SOLD US ALL OUT! ALL THOSE TIMES OVER THE YEARS HE'S BEEN LEAKING TO THE HEROES!
She thrashes around, escaping the grip of the guards before making her way to talk to a particular prison cell, and whispering.
Toga: It's done…
The figure in the shadows of the cell smiles, even as Toga was dragged away, still ranting about the leaks of Deku about the League.
