A Teddy Bear named Friendship

Miranda quietly walked up the stairs to her room, which she hasn't seen in a while. "Wow, a lot of things have changed since I left", she thought to her self as she opened the door to her room.

Miranda originally left for Mexico with her family for only a week, but her grandmother's illness forced Miranda, her father, and her mother to stay a while longer.

Since then, Lizzie and Gordo, her two best friends, have been dating; her rival, Kate Sanders started hanging out with the couple, Larry Tudgeman stopped wearing the shirt he's been wearing for years, and Ethan Craft was, well, still Ethan.

"I missed you room, at least you haven't changed a bit", Miranda glumly said, looking around. Her phone rang, and she quickly ran to pick it up.

"Hola, this is Miranda"

"Hey, I missed you so much!" a girl's voice replied. An Italian song was playing in the background, which meant one thing

"Lizzie? Oh, hey. I just got your letter a few days before I left, so I decided not to reply." Miranda stared at the ceiling, too sleepy to talk to people. She quickly glanced at her watch, which read 11:59, and a second later, it was midnight.

"No problem, so, do you want to go to my place for a few? I haven't seen you in two years! Gordo and Kate are here, too! I bet you want to see how Kate is nicer!"

Miranda really didn't want to, but she remembered all the times she spent with Lizzie and Gordo, so she agreed to visit her friends and share stories with them for a few minutes.

Miranda slowly went downstairs. "Just take your time, Miranda", she told herself.

As she approached her mom and dad, who were both in the living room, her mom cheerfully asked, "Going to the McGuires?" "Yeah, mom." "As Miranda left her house, her father shouted, "Tell them we said hi!"
