Soon, it was a Friday afternoon, and Danny and Sabrina were walking home from school. "Meet you at Nasty Burger." Sabrina said. "Sounds good." Danny replied. He crossed the street after walking her home. He was planning on dropping his stuff off and letting his parents know he was going to meet Tucker and Sabrina at Nasty Burger, but there was a sudden change of plans when he saw a familiar silver haired man sitting on their couch with his back turned to Danny, who immediately wanted to explode at the sight of him but contained his anger. The man was none other than Vlad Masters, also known as Vlad Plasimus, Danny's arch enemy.

"Why Daniel, it's so good to see you!" Vlad greeted with a smile and fake polite voice. "What are you doing here, Vlad?" Danny interrogated the man. "I was in the neighborhood and figured I'd drop by to say hi to your mom and dad. It's a shame your mom can't join us." Vlad said.

"Yeah, your mom had to run to the grocery store but she'll be home shortly. I'm glad you stopped by, V-Man!" Jack said. "The pleasure's all mine." Vlad said. Danny knew he didn't mean it. Vlad never stopped by just to say hi. He was up to something, and Danny wanted to figure out what it was. Jack headed to the restroom real quick.

"Okay, what's the real reason you're here?" Danny asked. "I really did stop by to say hello, Daniel. Honest. Why must you think I have an ulterior motive every time I see you?" Vlad lied. "Gee, I dunno. You only have a grudge against my dad and creepy crush on my mom and you've tried to kill me on several occasions, but that can't be why." Danny snarked.

"Hilarious, Daniel." Vlad said sarcastically.

"About as hilarious as you expecting me to believe you wanted to visit my parents out of the goodness in your heart." Danny shot back.

"You know, as much as I've missed our little talks, I should be leaving soon. Oh, and by the way, I couldn't help but notice, you've been spending a lot of time with that little Spellman girl. Sabrina, was it? Does she know your secret like your other two friends?" Vlad asked. "Stay away from her!" Danny gritted his teeth. "Oh, I fully intend to, my dear boy. If you're smart I'd advise you do the same once you find out who she and her family really are." Vlad said. "What are you talking about?" Danny asked, confused. "You'll find out soon enough." Vlad said. Soon, Jack came back into the living room.

"You know Jack, as much as I hate to cut our little visit short, I do have some... personal matters to tend to. I should get going, I shan't take up any more of your time." Vlad said. "I understand. It was good to see you again, pal!" Jack said. And with that, Vlad left. "Actually, Dad, I've gotta go, too. I was gonna meet Sabrina and Tucker at Nasty Burger." Danny said. "Okay, but be safe. And remember, your curfiew is still ten." Jack said. "Sounds good." Danny said, leaving.

He tried to shake the bad mood Vlad put him in. "I hate that guy so much!" he thought to himself angrily. But then something Vlad had said regarding Sabrina and her aunts occurred to him.

"If you're smart I'd advise you do the same once you find out who she and her family really are."

What was he talking about? Hilda, Zelda and Sabrina were all perfectly nice people. A little eccentric maybe, but it didn't seem like there was anything dark or nebulous about them. Zelda said it herself: everyone has skeletons in their closet. But he brushed it off and figured Vlad was just being creepy like usual. His mood did a 180 again once he got to Nasty Burger and saw Tucker and Sabrina, who smiled and waved at him from their table. He smiled and waved back at her then proceeded to sit down at their table.

"Hey, Dude." Tucker greeted. "Hey." he said. "You alright? You looked pretty heated when you walked in." Sabrina asked. "Oh, yeah, I'm fine. I just had a little run-in with Vlad earlier." Danny said, his tone sounding resentful when he said Vlad's name. "Hoo boy." Tucker took a breath. He knew all about Vlad and Danny's hatred for the man.

"Who's Vlad?" Sabrina asked. "He went to college with my parents, who were creating ghost inventions even back then. The ghost portal they were working on blasted him in the face which put him in the hospital for two years. Ever since then, he's held a grudge against my dad and has had a creepy infatuation with my mom." Danny explained. "Gross!" Sabrina felt her skin crawl. "Yeah, and if that wasn't bad enough, my dad is completely oblivious to it, he still sees Vlad as a friend. My mom knows all about his obsession with her and hatred of my dad and she hates his guts as much as I do." Danny said.

"Was he that guy I saw at your house with the grey ponytail?" Sabrina asked. When she was getting ready to head to Nasty Burger, she looked out her window for a moment and saw Vlad outside of their window sitting on their couch. "Yeah, that's him." Danny confirmed. "I thought there was something off about him, he kinda gave off that vibe just looking at him, I dunno why." Sabrina said. "You don't know the half of it." Danny sighed. "So, does he know your mom doesn't like him in return?" Sabrina asked.

"That's the worst part about this: he does know my mom doesn't like him and he doesn't care. His idea of love is physical attraction, he wants to control her, and me. He's rich and successful but he's unhappy because he feels like my dad stole his life, he wishes my mom married him and wishes I was his son. It's been twenty years. He can't just move on and be happy with what he has. I know I get embarrassed by my dad, a lot, but I still love him, he is my dad, and I hate Vlad for openly disrespecting my dad even more than he openly disrespects me and my mom." Danny lamented.

Sabrina put her arm around his shoulder which caused him to blush. "Hey, don't worry. I'm sure your dad will find out who he really is sooner or later. I mean, he can't hide it forever. And besides, if he wants to be a loser, that's on him. Your dad may be kind of goofy but he's happy and Vlad knows it's because the only things your dad has and he doesn't are an amazing wife and son." She said, trying to cheer him up. Danny smiled. "Thanks, Sabrina." he said. "Anytime. I'd hate to see a loser like Vlad get you down." Sabrina smiled back.

Danny felt much better already. Sabrina was right. He wanted to tell her what Vlad had said about her and her family, or at least, what he hinted at, but decided to bite his tongue. He was glad he could vent a bit and she'd understand. Though he still had yet to figure out how to tell her he was half ghost, and when he did, he'd naturally have to tell her about Vlad also being half ghost. He also had yet to figure out what Vlad's angle was. He was being awfully suspicious, even for Vlad. He'd only hoped whatever he was planning didn't involve Sabrina or her aunts.
